Norwegian crypto exchange wants to force users to sell their cryptocurrencies

Quote
The reason for this is that the exchange's platform provider Alphapoint allegedly has been subject to a hacker attack.

The Norwegian crypto exchange Bitcoins Norway announced on Monday night (CEST) that they stop all trading on their platform and that the users’ cryptocurrencies will be sold “as fast as it is practically possible”.

Electrum Wallet Is Adding Support for Bitcoin’s Lightning Network

Quote
The popular wallet service Electrum is soon to add support for bitcoin’s lightning network.

Electrum’s founder Thomas Voegtlin told CoinDesk from the BIP001 blockchain event in Odessa, Ukraine, that work on the solution for sending lightning transactions with the Electrum wallet is now close to its official release.

While he declined to reveal a specific release date, Voegtlin said:

“We’ve been doing this work for about a year in a separate branch [on GitHub] and we’ve reached the point when we are ready to merge it with our master branch. This is going to happen in the coming weeks until the end of July, and it means that the next major release will have lightning support.”

https://es.cointelegraph.com/news/electrum-will-support-bitcoin-lightning-network-wallets-creator-reveals?

Bitcoin CME Futures’ price action plays a key role in predicting spot prices for BTC

Quote
Bitcoin was built as a tool that would provide respite from fiat, but it is also being used as a speculative asset for trading. Institutions like CME, CBOE, Grayscale, etc have developed products based on Bitcoin’s price movements for investors who do not want to risk it.

Bitcoin CME Futures has been gaining a lot of traction and is being used as a tool to help traders understand the correlation between Bitcoin spot prices and futures markets.

World’s First Zero-Fiat ‘Bitcoin Bond’ Now Available on Bloomberg Terminal

Quote
Two European companies have launched what they describe as the world’s first genuine bitcoin (BTC) bond, they confirmed in a joint press release on July 3.

Luxembourg-based Argento, a securitization firm, joined forces with London Block Exchange (LBX) to issue the bitcoin-denominated bond, which is regulated under the United Kingdom’s regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

Quote
Various durations are available, Argento conspicuously naming them after crypto-specific phenomena such as ‘FOMO,’ ‘HODL’ and ‘MOON.’

HODLers, LBX says, form one of the bond’s major target markets.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/worlds-first-zero-fiat-bitcoin-bond-now-available-on-bloomberg-terminal

This news doesn't pass Fillippone bullshit test:

  • LBX is an empty box according to Bloomberg Terminal
  • Argento doesn't exists according to Bloomberg
  • No securities are issued/related to Argento
  • HODL, FOMO or MOON are not related to specific ISIN codes on BBG

Someone I fully trust checked those infos for me on a BBG terminal.
This is second time Cointelegraph posted bullshit in a couple of days.

Check it in a few days, it will possibly be available soon.

https://es.cointelegraph.com/news/worlds-first-zero-fiat-bitcoin-bond-now-available-on-bloomberg-terminal

Wink

Here's the on-chain volume profile for BTCUSD

Red = volume during bears
Green = volume during bulls

Volume bars units is BTC moving on-chain

Notice how few coins are changing hands on-chain in this cycle. I put this down to more HODL activity off-chain, and more lockup.
