ETH pow is presently trading at 13$ per coin, I saw this coming as it's already too oversold, it was 8$ days ago and I was waiting for the coin to crash down to the 5$ range but now I think it's not going to happen again, hopefully the mining difficulty goes down in few months later.

The alternatives to eth are not lacking obviously you will never have the same earnings i would say that you can easily choose between etc, raven, ergo, ethw i would suggest you try them all and see which is the most performing with your equipment

OP nobody is forcing you to mine ETHW. Do not claim your ETHW if you think they are scamming you. But I know you will sell it because at the bottom of your mind it is free money at zero effort.
The dumping started already. Price per ETHW was $4 an hour ago. I made another check and it is now at $5.17. Did it bottomed already? And just like BCH, whales will pump this coin for some gains. Many big miners are whales too, and together with the anti-Vitalik group, they will try to stabilize this coin.
I don't think it bottommed yet. The bottom will be once Binanace, Coinbase and a few other exchanges creddits their users and allows trading. Most likely it'll be a slow grind down. Then it'll find a bottom somewhere, trade for a few weeks and then some whales might end up pumping it if they feel like it. Then it'll top out at $50 or $100, people will think it'll be the next real ETH and it'll peak like Bitcoin Cash did at like $3000-$4000 with retail holding the bag. ethw wont even be 50. and never 3 or 4k. eth may never recover its ath with this transition to pos. If this coin was launched, then the pump is possible. $50 isn't that much of a price in both good news and a good market, and it's possible. But I'm not ready to mine this coin yet, in order to have the hope of selling it later for a higher price. |

Most of these 4080/4090 cards are also take 4 slots. Doubt casual miners/gamers will use those 2 of those in their pc cases are they can accomendate just 1 with those beasts.
Wait for normal video reviews about these video cards. It will not be possible to install such video cards in old cases, but if a gamer buys a video card for 2000 dollars, then he is sure that he will find money for a new case. The Radeon 7990s were just as voracious and hot, and were used by some miners. |

Do these options work with AMD cards? One of the main needs of those using AMD cards is that the mining software manages the clock of the memories and VGA core clock, if possible, the VGA mining power factor also. They never really wanted to be in the crypto business anyway. I think they’re fighting to try and get control of the AI and self driving car markets for the coming years. With things like augmented reality & the metaverse becoming more common, I think they’ll do just fine no matter what. I’ve even been a buyer of AMD on this dip.
Nvidia is spending a lot of budget on AI from many years now and they even come up with some data that showed a completely self driving car in Germany not that long ago however I have not read or heard any news of the same from AMD,most probably AMD is not heavily invested in this. The prices of video cards are falling down dramatically right now at ebay I saw brand new 3060 ti for 399 USD which is a really good price,also the Rtx 3080 at near 700 USD is again a normal price compared to what we had in the bull run.I think they will fall even more and maybe it is time to get some and wait for the right time to put them back to work. What video cards are used in AI? NVIDIA Tesla V100 is reported to be more efficient, it consumes less power than the current 3090 and 4090 by several times and has better computing performance? The 3060 ti is good for gamers, but what's the use of it in AI computing? The high end cards of Nvidia are being used to test Artificial Intelligence in order to make possible self-driving cars and they had a prototype in Germany in 2021 if I recall it correctly and the other fields they are using them is for Medical Breakthroughs which became a necessity during the Covid era as before Covid only for the self-driving car they were mainly used but now with the invention of Immunotherapy for cancer which you instill stamina cells and you boost directly the immunity after Chemio Therapy is a great usage of such cards.I of course only pray for fast success in this second area which is medicine rather than self driving cars. Everyone wants a piece of pie in the medicine industry and Nvidia is fighting hard for this not because they care about people but because corporate tyranny only cares about money. And yes the Teslas are being used as the brain of the devices they reside in to make science advance further in the above mentioned fields. The video card chip for games has a different architecture, for example, it is optimized for ray building and better graphics in games. I understand that the Nvidia Geforce RTX 3000-RTX 4000 can give good compute performance for AI beginners, but I think for professional work there is Quadro, Tesley or Amazon AWS or Google Cloud services. |

The only choice I see here is the 4090, all the other gpus are last generation performance, not worth, like I said before at 1499 usd I would buy and it seems I almost got the price right, 1599 usd price is strange, I was sure would be 1499 usd.
Price should be close to this, i mean the value of the gpu is directly proportional to the money it can produce(mining). ~3k usd from op is the price if ETH is still mineable.
