I will really back Barcelona up for winning against Napoli because I think Barcelona is quite stable right now in terms of performance and after the arrival of Xavi, they have done quite well.
I'm afraid, Barcelona aren't favorites in my opinion to win this tie, they haven't really improved that much under Xavi as many seem to suggest, they are still struggling and have not looked convincing in as many matches, and again, the Europa league isn't really their calibre of tournament, so I can say they are even in unfamiliar territory, they are used to playing in the UCL and winning it on numerous occasions, the Europa league is more like a step down for Barcelona, so I expect that to affect their mentality and by extension, their performance. I strongly believe Napoli will win this tie. Maybe you are right. For a Barça accustomed to UCL, UEL is considered a lower tier. However, this year Barça is so bad that it has nothing to do with previous years. Their opponent is also very strong in matchmaking in UEL. Napoli is taking a storm in Italy. The championship chances are still going on. Barça, on the other hand, is trying to achieve a ranking that can go to the European cup. When we think about it this way, my favorite in this pairing is Napoli. I actually don't agree with this because if we look at both leagues currently we can see that right now Barcelona is playing far better than before and Napoli I was playing better but now they seem to be a little inconsistent which might hurt them in this match. There are exactly two weeks to go for the first matches to begin. The one between PSG and Real Madrid must be the most waited one for most people I guess. When we assess the current situations of these teams now, we can see that both of them are amazingly good. I really admire Real Madrid especially. They seem to be a more credible team than PSG these days to me for some reason. It is a great pleasure to watch this version of Benzema now. He is having one of his best seasons certainly and he is a big threat to PSG. If PSG don't get a nice result in the first match, Real Madrid can really eliminate them by the rematch.
Good talk. I agree that both teams have been doing very well lately - Madrid in particular that has been terrible in the last 2-3 seasons finally seem like they have found their rhythm. Definitely going to be a match to look out for. However, I still think that PSG would be a hard nut to crack given their superb and extensive squad list. PSG has limited chance to win the UCL so they would want to win. Real Madrid is still a big and great team in every season I think it's just that, sometimes competition with different team situations and conditions at all times makes Madrid not always look good in the UCL, especially in the previous few seasons but for the 2020/2021 season yesterday Madrid arrived at the match semifinals. Regarding PSG, I think we will all agree that the number of star players that PSG currently has is not strong enough and in fact, recently PSG were eliminated in the round of 16 in the Coupe de France event. PSG lost by Nice on penalties, with this result I think it is clear PSG are not good enough to win against Madrid. I don't think that PSG is going to do good against Real Madrid because previously I thought that they are stable right now and quite consistent but after the loss against NICE, I am starting to doubt PSG they should be really doing far better than this. If this was a small team then I could have used the term unpredictable but that does not apply here. |

I'm really worried about Wolfsburg in this season. Because they are in danger of relegating from the league at the end of this season. I really don't know how they have come to this point but they should start doing something to put an end to this poor performance. Their next match is against Greuther Furth. This must be the easiest match they can ever have in this season. This is a golden opportunity for them to improve their performance and they can definitely win this match. They defeated Furth away before by 2-0 and there is nothing holding them back from doing the same again.
Wolfsburg's performance is very embarrassing. It is unimaginable that they will play so badly. Now their position is 15th in the table. Has earned only 21 points in 20 matches. They have won only 6 matches. Wolfsburg were fourth in the points table the previous season. Their performance is very weak now. Coach Florian Kohfeldt can't do anything to strengthen the team. Should I say Manchester United and Arsenal may fight until Tottenham take over the 4th position. Manchester United is having low chance to retain that four position. I'd argue the opposite for Sean O'Malley, since to me he has a ceiling, and it definitely isn't in the top five. He's a good cash cow up until he gets found out against ranked opponents, and believe you me, he will be found out. I don't expect him to even challenge the top five, because Dana will want to protect him as much as possible. Same as Paddy who has made a great impact on fans, I think he clearly has a ceiling which probably isn't going to be anywhere near the top five. Izzy is the exception here, one of the best fighters the UFC has seen, and he knows how to market. However, the real promoter was Conor who seems to be making a comeback sometime this year, which could be interesting if he takes it seriously, and gets that passion back that he seemed to have lost. Actually, you could be right about Sean O'Malley and paddy. But they do you seem to have a good impact on the crowd. But if they don't have the results to back their Talking up, then fans will also lose interest in them. And about Conor McGregor, I think his situation is going to be more like Tony Ferguson. Because just like Tony didn't ever come back 100% from the beating he took against Justin, Conor McGregor also never recovered from the loss against Khabib Nurmagomedov. I think the reason Nigeria didn’t win against Tunisia is was because of the coach, he didn’t have enough tactics and ideas and I am sure he lack experience as well, he was very predictable and it was an easy job for Tunisia who just had to mark out the both wings because that is where almost all the goals Nigeria scored in the tournament came from. And in making substitutions he made a lot of mistakes and at the end of the day he lost. Although the end of the match was a bit promising because of the tension and the team knows they needed to get something that would have taken them to an extra time at least but it didn’t come.
You maybe right and i thought as well too, right from the beginning of the AFCON Simon moses, Chukweze, and kelechi has always been the men of the game which Nigeria always score. The Tunisia players were so hard on this men, they didn't give them chance. With this situation the Nigeria coach was supposed help to come with a strategy that would have been easy the players. Actually, I think the match was good and quite enjoyable at least till the 66th minute. Even though Tunisia scored at the 47th minute, for me the red card at the 66th minute actually killed the game otherwise if you look at the stats I think the match was really even. The stats actually suggest that Nigeria was the better team in that match. But I think if Nigeria could have a little more shots on target and if they could avoid the red card they would have had a really good chance of getting something from that match. |

Dana just needs to compromise I would think. Ngannou probably wants bigger money, so instead of Dana giving him the money directly, allow him to have a few boxing fights. I'm not sure why the UFC puts it in the clause of the contract that they can't fight in other sports. It would probably be beneficial because you keep the fighters happy, and you also put UFC fighters in the limelight, and in front of a new audience.
For example, I was originally a boxing fan, never even considered watching the UFC because I fell for the appearance of it rather than actually what it is. I always thought, I don't want to watch people beat on each other to a inch of their life, but doesn't really sound like fun. I was the typical outsider thinking that the UFC was for thugs, and boxing had more honour. Though, obviously now I realise how stupid that was without actually giving it a chance, I'm now a bigger MMA fan than boxing, in fact I literally only watch the big fights in boxing nowadays, I couldn't care less about it otherwise.
So, I assume that getting these fighters in the spotlight, could prove beneficial to Dana. Dana should be upping the wages on principle alone considering how much PPV buys they have, and how low they're paying them in comparison with other professional athletes. However, I think Dana by offering fighters the chance to fight in boxing fights once or twice a year, but still restrict them from fighting in other MMA competitions could well be the way to get a happy middle ground with the fighters.
I thought the fight with Gane was incredibly close, Gane seemed to be too good moving around for Ngannou to get the connection, but Ngannou showed he can adapt, and he does have other tools to his belt. Obviously, when he was on top of Gane he effectively did nothing, but control. So, he definitely isn't brilliant at it, but its progress, and I want to see Ngannou stay in the UFC for a few years yet.
It's a gamble for Dana to do that really but I think he knows that once a star had reached its peak, will ask for more. Not saying it's bad that it goes above Ngannou's head. It's actaully good to ask more and Dana knows that if Ngannou earns big in boxing, he may not come back. It's the nature of man to desire more. Ngannou has something in mind also since he already has his own foundation. And true. I also can't see a significant shot from Francis. The only I think that made him win is that he got control over Gane on the ground. Gane is fast in avoiding and blocking. I expect Ngannou to be in the UFC for some time too. And I think Dana white needs to find a fighter for multiple fighters like Conor McGregor who can really promote UFC to the top and talk really good. And Sean O'Malley is a good asset for the UFC who can promote fights really well.
