1361  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto should be banned or soon to be. on: January 14, 2023, 03:00:00 PM
Crypto aka shitcoins should be banned, Bitcoin must not.

This depends a little bit if all words are independent. If yes the will be 24! = 620.448.401.733.239.439.360.000 permutations of the words. Assuming that you computer can check 1 billion permutations per second (which is is way too optimistic as this would assume that a signature / public key could be computed within one clock cycle which he can't) this would mean that your computer still would need 620.448.401.733.239 seconds which is 19674289 (19.6 million) years as the absolut minor / lower bound. This estimation however does not take into account technological breakthroughs in computing hardware which could very well happen in that time frame (:

This is the crypto market, and if bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency, it shouldn't be at the top of the ratings.
Bitcoin is also a cryptocurrency, the best cryptocurrency. Bitcoin would still work without altcoins, but bitcoin's value would never be what it is today. Bitcoin alone cannot create a market, and without altcoins, many people still don't know about bitcoin.
If you are here just to use bitcoin as a means of payment, or currency, then you don't need altcoins. But if you are here for profit like others, then altcoins are needed to increase bitcoin prices.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why will Bitcoin have value? on: January 14, 2023, 02:50:36 PM
What you say about bitcoin is not wrong, but everything would be meaningless without human demand. Any asset without people's trust is useless, and human trust is what makes bitcoin valuable today and in the future. On the contrary, humans will only continue to believe in what gives them value, meaning the two are supporting each other. If bitcoin contains more features, and more technology but does not benefit everyone, we will still get rid of it immediately.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 13, 2023, 07:06:18 PM
There is around a week left for the Bundesliga to return and the first game of the week is going to be Leipzig vs Bayern Munich. This is a really great start to the league again. These teams have had really delightful matches against each other so far. We have seen many goals from both sides. Leipzig are still a strong team in the league. Nkunku has such a nice scoring ability that he has made a big contribution to the team so far. He will be Leipzig's biggest hope against Bayern Munich as well.
Leipzig are the best team in home matches now and they haven't lost a single match. The problem is that Bayern Munich don't concede so many goals these days. But still Neuer's absence might upset the balances. I might give Leipzig double chance a try as I don't think they will lose this one easily.

I do not think that Bayern Munich is going to actually lose against Leipzig. Bayern Munich is by far the best team in Bundesliga. I know that they have a few problems regarding the goalkeeping position. But the team altogether is solid. I don't see how Leipzig is a better team compared to Bayern Munich. I know that Leipzig is playing well right now. But I still do not think that Bayern Munich is going to lose this one.
1364  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe racism has come to stay!! ? on: January 13, 2023, 05:40:47 AM
The phenomenon of racism does not only occur in America, but throughout the world. Racism is a racial problem that has been ingrained in the midst of multicultural society in various parts of the world. My country is one of the multicultural countries in the world. Racism can be interpreted as differences between humans which usually occur due to differences in skin color.

But in my country, racism is not only based on skin color, but also based on race, ethnicity, culture and beliefs of each human being. with so many differences and diversity in my country, of course acts of racism often occur and cannot be avoided. acts of racism will never disappear from this earth, in fact every country has made the right affirmation in order to reduce the spread of racism with regulations in the form of laws.
even so, acts of racism do not go away. as long as humans have hate, racial discrimination, ethnicity, skin color, racism will still exist.

As you rightly point out, racism still exists in all countries, not just the US, but I don't think it is occurring as often as it used to be. I think that is very rare in today's world. Not only racism but other evils, such as discrimination between rich and poor and jealousy between religions... will always exist on this earth. In this world, we will never be able to see peace and equality, as long as there is human greed, these evils will never be able to vanish.
1365  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe religion is a setback in African development? on: January 13, 2023, 05:20:52 AM
It is not about religion, it is about superstition.
In my personal opinion, there is nothing wrong about following a religion. Actually, Christianity for example usually teaches about the value of working hard and living a peaceful life.

However, it is different when people opt for practices which could be categorized as "magic", they expect to success in life just because some alleged shaman or witch medic told them to partake in a ritual or consume a certain kind of plant. Africa does not need cults and idols, it needs work and solve social problems and that can be reached with the proper religious values for those who need spiritual guidance.

I'm not from Africa so I don't really know what religion exists there, but I was really confused when I heard that religion is an obstacle for Africa. All regions of the world have at least 2 to 3 religions, and like in my country there are Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam...all direct people to good deeds, to peace... so there is no reason to say that religion is an obstacle. Are they confusing superstition with religion as you say? And possibly due to the ignorance of the people, many have taken advantage of it to spread falsehoods that are not of the orthodox religion.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 13, 2023, 12:44:45 AM
In the Carabao Cup match, in fact, Man City had to submit with a score of 2 goals from Southampton, even though statistically Man City was declared superior. Southampton's players only had a few chances and no more shots on target than Man City. Maybe this will be a reference for Erik Ten Hag in hosting Man City at Old Trafford later. At least with a strategy that can be said to be able to shut down the movement of Haaland and friends like what Southampton did.
Gourdiola didn't start the duo of Kevin DeBryne and Haaland in yesterday's match but the duo came on later unfortunately they couldn't the situation to get at least a draw eventually lost the match, honestly it's a good tactical approach deployed by Southampton and hopefully Erik Ten Hag might take a clue from that match to stop Man City this weekend with Rashford spearheading their attack and in-form by scoring goals consistently, Man Utd might sit back to defend and launch counter attack aggressively against their opponent, I believe that is best tactic to stop Man City else their opponent attack is very strong and can score goals freely at any attempt.
Maybe Guardiola was preserving his key players for the coming fixture against Manchester United in the weekend and felt the second team would be able to get the job done against premier league co competitors but the result came shocking and I'm sure Guardiola didn't expect the outcome to be a lose. Now they  will want to come all out against United and I hope United will not go and seat at the back and let Manchester City pressure them for 90minutes. Guardiola's defense is weak and needs to be strengthened.

In my opinion, this is an abysmal performance from Manchester City, and I have to say that Southampton were also very lucky in front of the goal as well. The two goals scored by Southampton in the 23rd and 28th minutes of the match gave them a huge morale boost and for the rest of the game the coach wanted his team to defend those two goals, which they were able to do successfully. It is important that Erik Ten Hag takes note of how Southampton played and applies those tactics against Manchester City in their next game.
1367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are good AI coins to buy and HODL? on: January 12, 2023, 08:23:53 AM
In my opinion, AI coins are not yet popular in the crypto space probably because most people are yet to understand how they work. I think the coins will gain more popularity when the crypto community learn more about the utility and the benefits. On the other hand it is interesting to note that some companies are utilizing AI and Blockchain technology to solve practical problems (https://builtin.com/artificial-intelligence/blockchain-ai-examples). I think the combined use of AI and Blockchain technology are currently more useful when compared to the use of the coins/tokens. However, AI coins/tokens have a bright future when more crypto community members understands how they function - I suggest HODLing for long for best results - just my humble opinion.

I guess even bitcoin, the oldest coin that we still don't fully understand, the purpose of us here is to make a profit, not learn about a certain technology and then invest. AI emerged after the sudden popularity of ChatGPT, and the crypto market is a super-fast copy market. There have been some AI projects, but I am unsure if it can become a new trend in the market and make the market vibrant again. What we need is to observe and catch the trend in time to make a profit, don't think that technology exists with those altcoins.
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Not To Use Mobile Altcoin Wallet - But Use Desktop Wallet on: January 12, 2023, 08:15:09 AM
Mobile altcoin wallets are not safe, because there are viruses and malware targeting mobile phones. The best way would be use desktop wallet versions. Also antivirus soft are mainly developed for desktop.

I haven't yet encountered any keyloggers or wallet stealers on my phone. I only download official wallets and don't install anything shady into it. Yet i have encountered many such things by using my laptop. I am pretty sure that most viruses are targetted for personal computers rather then for phones.

As a rule of thumb, if you have a wallet installed in your phone or in your laptop. Don't use that device to surf on shady places and never ever install anything you don't need. It's equivalent to leaving your house door open when you are not home.

I also agree with this point of view, I think using a mobile wallet is much safer than the desktop version. Most reported attacks are used on computers, I have not heard of any wallet attacks on smartphones. Malware or viruses are mainly used to attack operating systems like windows and mac OS rather than mobile platforms. But either way, both are risky as both are devices that are connected to the internet frequently so using a hardware wallet is a safe option for us.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: January 09, 2023, 10:08:23 PM
There is an opportunity for Manchester United to improve their record against Barcelona. It is true that Barcelona is better than Manchester United for now, but seeing Manchester United's improvement under the hands of Erik Ten Hag, there is great hope for them to return to their former glory. If not, at least they are a club that is no longer underestimated by other clubs, especially in the Premier League.
Many people are looking forward to the match between these two clubs, because it's rare for us to see these 2 big clubs meet in international matches, even though it's only in the Europa League.
With the recent performance of Manchester United I consider Manchester united to be a strong team. Ten Hag was able to fetch out good players like Casemiro,  Anthony and other players that has brought back the glory of Manchester United like the way it used to be before.
Even though they are strong at the moment but we also know their opponent is also a difficult opponent because Barcelona also cannot be considered a loser in this match.
Manchester United's performance has been quite good so far but on the other hand Barcelona is also very good with all the criticism they are receiving now that doesn't stop the fact that they are still very good in terms of current performance.
Their frustration with getting out of the Champions League Zone could be taken out in this play off so it is still a little difficult to predict who will win in this match.
Barca won their recent match against ATM and this has made them to still be in good form, they also have an upper hand to win MU due to the strong and quality players the club has. MU has being winning their matches all this while and I don't think they will want to give up on Barca to win the game. Both teams are good and we can not underestimate any of them but there must be a winner at the end. Eric Ten Hag is really trying his best and might have a strategy he will use to win Barca

The performances of both Barcelona and Manchester United have been erratic. Barcelona won against Atletico Madrid though. But they drew the match against Espanyol in the previous match. On the other hand, the situation of Manchester United is also the same. There is no consistency in their performance either. And so it is difficult to say which team will win the Manchester United vs Barcelona match. Both teams have equal chances of winning. But the first match is Barcelona's home match. In the home match, I will put the Barcelona team ahead. Barcelona will probably win the first leg. But the goal difference will not be too much.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2023, 07:39:43 PM
From 2016 Australia has never lost a test series on thier homeground except two times against India. The chance of India again winning the series against them I'd pretty good but in cricket you cannot be 100 percent sure. India recently defeated Bangladesh on thier homeground in a test series but if you cannot compare Bangladesh with Australia. It wouldn't be easy for India to defeat the Australian test considering the form thie batters are in now.
Right now, we have three big teams in test format and these are Australia, India and England which are giving their best performance for last few years consistently and India is having edge at home against all other opponents which is also good for them now for this series most chances India will be winner no one having any doubt about this all but still things could be not easy for them because currently Australia playing very good cricket with all wins at home and having draw in Sri Lanka and won against Pakistan mean things could be good for this series where India wants to win by good margin for their place into WTC and this is possible but for the win all batsmen needs to perform very good specially Virat Kohli could be vital for them because he needs good return and here this is possible for him.

Personally, I am not very much interested in test cricket. I am also not very interested in the world test championship as well. Because test cricket has become outdated.

But at the same time, if there is any team that can make even test cricket interesting, those are India, England, and Australia. And I also like that the test cricket championship is heading toward the final between Australia and India. We all know that India has found some really good talent. But they have been performing really well in the shorter formats of cricket. So I am not sure how they are going to perform in test cricket.

35th Match of Big Bash League started today. Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and elected to bowl. Hobart Hurricanes started a great performance. Faheem Ashraf of Hobart Hurricanes took 1 wicket with 16 runs in 3 overs. Now batting.  Melbourne Stars scored 71 runs in 11 overs and lost 2 wickets.
Melbourne Stars' run collection was very limited. Hobart Hurricanes were batting well against a small target of just 131 runs. But towards the end, the match was almost lost. Although Hobart Hurricanes won the match by losing 8 wickets but they can lost the match if there was a target of few more runs. If you don't give a target of 160 runs, it is difficult to win that match. Caleb Jewell's good innings of 70 from 44 balls contributed the most to win this match.

This Big Bash has been such a high scoring tournament. It is going to be very hard for any team to defend a score like 130 or 140. And that is exactly what happened.

I can see, Melbourne stars did not put on a big total in this match. They put on 131 which was supposed to be inadequate. And the opponent, Hobert Hurricanes chased down the total quite easily in the end. Actually, towards the end, Hurricanes lost a little too many wickets. But in the end, they got there eventually.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 09, 2023, 12:11:04 PM
Then the possibility of moving from Manchester United is very small for Harry Maguire. But it's true that Erik ten hag still needs him in the Red Devils squad, but the problem is that as you said there are some main players who don't like him. Apart from that even though he is on the bench, when Erik ten hag needs him he is also willing to enter the field. However, if Harry Maguire suddenly wants to leave Manchester United, it seems that this is also quite good for his future career.
Maguire is a player for England's main national team and it's been a while since every English player has always been the priority at Manchester United. But the arrival of Erik Ten Hag was considered brave so not a few of Maguire's matches were postponed. In contrast to other coaches, before Erik Ten Hag at Manchester United, Maguire performed poorly and was always used as the main player. So I saw a firmness in Erik Ten Hag, he really controlled Manchester United for the sake of mutuality. Moreover, even if Maguire leaves, I don't think it will have too much impact on the stability of Manchester United's game.
My advise to Harry Maguire is for him to leave Manchester United if he has the opportunity. He really got a bad season with the club last year and an average Manchester United fan doesn't like Maguire.
There's no player who can prosper where he is not loved. That was the problem of Fernando Torress.
Maguire is lucky he had a very good world cup outing, with that his outstanding performance, clubs can come for him.

As a matter of fact, if Harry Maguire does actually leave Manchester United, it will be really positive for the club. At the moment, he is not being useful to Manchester United in any way. It is worth mentioning that he is actually only useful for the England national team, not for Manchester United. And him not being a regular in the Manchester United squad is probably one of the most beneficial things that have happened recently for Manchester United. The situation at Manchester United is improving at the moment. It is my hope that this improvement is going to continue in the future. I really hope that this improvement is not something temporary.

1373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How profitable it is possible to invest in bitcoins in the new year 2023. on: January 09, 2023, 10:25:24 AM

Bitcoin investment is always profitable,

You should not say, so it is very misleading for newbies, bitcoin like any other investment, it can be profitable but can also be risky for us, the higher the return, the higher the risk.

If OP likes high returns and is willing to take risks, then bitcoin is a perfect choice, but if you don't like risk, its not for you. Currently, bitcoin price is showing signs of recovery but I am not sure if it can last or will rise to higher highs, you shouldn't mind such short term prices. To profit from bitcoin, you need to have a long-term vision, not such short-sightedness. I think knowledge is what you need at the moment, not an instant investment.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 08, 2023, 03:43:31 PM
I have seen him play. I absolutely do not think that he is some wonder kid who is going to do something impossible for Chelsea. Some people just see a kid play well these days and start throwing money to get him in the team. I do not believe that he is worth the money that Chelsea gave for him. If this was around 8-10 million, I think even that would have made sense. But 13 million is too much.
he's still very young, maybe Chelsea is looking at something that might become big business for them in the next few years. we will not know what will happen in the future. if he has the luck and the skills he deserves to be in Europe's biggest league competition. then we will all see his skills later. if he can't compete then it was a mistake Chelsea made the purchase.

Well, I will give him that, he is very young and he has a lot of potential as well. I do not agree that he was worthy of so much money. But if anyone thinks that he was worthless, it is also going to be a mistake. This kid has a certain flair in him. He can be a very good player. But he will have to work hard. I don’t think he deserves that much money, but it is also going to be very entertaining for even me to see him prove people like me wrong.

I have nothing against young players. I am someone who is always very anxious to see a player perform well, especially if he is young. But I also hate it when people overheat a young player, and after that, he is burdened with expectations.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 08, 2023, 11:23:46 AM
Chelsea have been doing these types of things too much lately. They are investing quite a bit of money in a player who probably does not deserve such a large amount of money in the first place.
Regardless, I do not think he has shown the type of performance that would be adequate to earn him a transfer fee of $13 million, no matter what.
Have you watched him play? If you haven't then go watch some highlights before you come here criticizing Chelsea move to aquire him. While Chelsea has wasted some money in the past but they have all given the club something in return. Our last big move signings won us the champions league and FIFA club world cup. The Chelsea current active players lacks so many things and we can see it when they play. They barely win games so the management are scouting and buying up any available player so we can get a shot at winning something this year.
Andrey Santosis a central midfielder with 8 goals for club last year and we don't have any midfielder capable of scoring or assisting goals apart from Mount which have been off form lately. He's also a Brazilian and we know how good this players play when they get sign into a top Europe club. I also think the fee was decent. Chelsea is a top club and you don't expect other clubs to sell their players very cheap to us when they know we can afford any price they give and we're desperate.

1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on the future of Decentralised exchanges on: January 08, 2023, 09:06:09 AM
Will decentralised exchanges get more attention now that FTX secrets is all out? Will people now trust decentralised exchanges more than centralised exchanges? Cos the only thing still standing tall right now is Binance, I believe this is the only CEX people still give full face 😂  but it seems like Uniswap and Pancake will take the lead in near future?
FTX isn't the first CEX to have an anomaly and yet the attention of people are still in the CEX so I don't think we will see a major change or shift. There's just something with the CEX on why people can't leave it. In terms of trust. I think this will depend on the company and not if it's CEX or DEX. Not all DEX are trusted anyway but there's also a lot of shady and buggy DEX that have been reported before.

Binance isn't the only CEX that is standing but there are still lots of them. I do not think they will slowly follow the path that FTX take. In fact these exchanges are only trying their best to become the number 1 crypto exchange. They won't waste their hard work for nothing.

I don't understand why people always take the death of FTX to say that Binance will also go the way of FTX or other centralized exchanges will also die. Exchanges like traditional companies, there will be companies that will survive over time, and there will also be companies that go bankrupt, if viewed more fairly, this is actually normal. Look at the Coinbase exchange, it was founded in 2012 and still exists today, why no one talks about its sustainability?
Many people don't like centralized exchanges, that's not wrong, but there's no denying their role and importance in the market, without us we would have had a lot of trouble trading daily.
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you change your name to bitcoin for 2000BTC? on: January 08, 2023, 08:53:11 AM
Honestly, I know our names represent who we are, I would also be sorry if I lost the name that has stuck with me for half my life. But we need to think more, what are we living and striving for right now? If it's money, I don't need to think about it, but I will agree immediately because with 2000BTC we live another 100 years, and we will never be able to earn it. With that money, I can take care of my children and parents, such a sacrifice is worth it. I'm talking at current bitcoin prices, but if it were 12 years ago, it wouldn't be worth the trade-off.
1378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 08, 2023, 08:36:40 AM
I don't think you make a bad decision because based on your story, there's no point to keep your motorbike since it's rarely used, you need to pay the tax, maintenance, fuel etc without any benefit. As long as you're don't really that money and you can willing to lost all of your money invested in Bitcoin, go for it. Don't really think Bitcoin price will increase for 10-20x in the future, it's possible but you need to have a lot patience to wait.

of course I will be ready to wait for time even if it takes years, until I get a profit from my investment, and of course I am ready to take any risks, because of course in investing there are always risks, profits and losses.
because even in real life, the name of a business is always a risk.

Well, if you are ready for all that, then I think you don't need to wait anymore but sell the bike immediately before it depreciates further, and the current bitcoin price is also very suitable to buy and hold. I don't know if you've heard of the recent demise of centralized exchanges, but my advice is: don't store bitcoins on exchanges, buy yourself a cold wallet or use a non-custodial wallet to hold bitcoins, don't use exchanges and custodial wallets.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 07, 2023, 07:27:04 PM
Again and again Chelsea are keep sign new player, the recent transfer is Andrey Santos which is unknown player from Vasco Da Gama, he only played for 1 match without score any goal or assist in this season lol [1]. Chelsea spent for 12.5 Million Euro for this player, I think it's too much for new player that haven't shown any good performance.

Andrey Santos can be a big player at Chelsea even though the costs incurred by Chelsea are considered too large for a player who has not shown his abilities. In the last 5 matches of Vasco da Gama, Andrey Santos has always been included in the line-up that plays as a starter.
Andrey Santos' statistics that I have seen from several sources, this young Brazilian player is relatively good with an adequate rating. Then, I also saw Andrey Santos' playing style through highligth video shows, Andrey Santos is a player with a hard game. For me, he is suitable for Potter's strategy to assign him as a breaker of the opponent's attack.
I don't doubt the abilities of Brazilian players. Brazil as a nation is gifted with many players and getting a place in this local league is highly competitive. The midfeikder have also played dor he Brazilian under-20 team. Andrey Santos is just 18 and can be a potential world-class player. The €13m transfer contract fee is high for a slightly unknown player but sometimes such risk can benefit the club in the future. He could grow to become a key player in the Chelsea team or can be sold for a handsome profit. If he flops, the club should also bear the loss gladly. Chelsea really need a suitable replacement for some key injured players.

It is my opinion that regardless of the nationality of this player, the fee that this player was asked for is a bit excessive.
There is simply no way to say that the fact that a player is Brazilian is going to make him a better player just because of this.

Chelsea have been doing these types of things too much lately. They are investing quite a bit of money in a player who probably does not deserve such a large amount of money in the first place.
Regardless, I do not think he has shown the type of performance that would be adequate to earn him a transfer fee of $13 million, no matter what.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 07, 2023, 06:23:55 PM
There is nothing special about how Ancelotti positioned Militao at right-back because basically Militao can also occupy that position which is his second position. Of course, centre-back is his main position but he can play on the right as well. So there should be no problem for Militao, but I ask why Ancelotti didn't use Alvaro Odriozola who actually existed as the best option for the right-back position.
The match has started, and I think Real Madrid really have no reason to underestimate Villarreal in this match. The threat is very real, so I think it will be a tough game for Real Madrid.
Even though it is not his main position in playing, Eder Militao has always performed well when placed at right back, Alvaro Odriozola suffered a muscle injury so he is not included in the current Line-Up, so Ancelotti made the decision to place Eder Militao in that position and so far he has been able to carried out this role quite well, even though in the first half Villarreal was so impressive in building attacks against Real Madrid.
So far Villarreal have managed to control the game, while Real Madrid still haven't shown their best game, not many chances were created in the first half, so no goals were created for both teams.

Éder Militão has played decent enough in this match. I thought that even though he was not supposed to play on the right side, he did live quite well. Of course, the best performance for Real Madrid was from Luka Modrić. I really think that this was a case of Real Madrid underestimating their opponent. I also do not think that they actually took enough preparations for this match.

I am not saying that Villareal is a bad team. They are actually a very good team. But there was no way Real Madrid should have lost this match. Obviously, the performance from Real Madrid was not up to the mark. It’s not like Villarreal played really well in this match. I just think that Real Madrid did not play well enough.
