2361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: AVOID trading at all costs, unless.... on: July 17, 2019, 10:29:19 PM
...unless you have some skills from the financial world that you can transfer to crypto.... and even that, NOT SURE.

Too many newbies get burnt.

Unless you have solid experience at reading graphs, clouds, candles, etc, don't do it. You may make some money by pure luck when you will get burnt in the long term because it's a new field for you.

There is no worse feeling that selling at XXXX$ and then see the price go up by 2k in a week span.  Cheesy

My advice for newbies is to invest long term, by long term I mean 2, 3 years or longer.

Best of luck.

You will need experience to get better in trading. There is no perfect trader but the risk involved in trading is manageable. Self control and discipline contributes to becoming a profitable and safe trading.

Of course newbies should always have to learn first the fundamentals, risk management and technical analysis. Then slowly apply them to live trading. The common mistake is going full on without even knowing any basics. We do not call that trading. It's gambling.

And you do not chase that 2k uptick after you sold. You are a trader. You hit your target, you get out. There is always another opportunity to earn more.
2362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {Sports betting} Watch out for "professional tipsters" on: July 17, 2019, 10:12:56 PM
Some tipsters would rather give tips than use their own money to bet. Not everyone have the funds to gamble and remember their tips are not 100% sure win, even if their claim is 90% of their tip won, theres still a remaining 10% chance that they are wrong.

If you are 90% win rate, that is already very high  You can easily build wealth using your own prediction than hard selling them. It is like KD shooting free throws, it is almost guatanteed it will go in. Even if you lose once, you won't go broke. So I do not buy the alibi that they do not have money to fund their bets. How the heck can they get 90% if they are not betting? If anyone claims that high win rate and asks for money for tips, its a scam.
2363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 17, 2019, 09:33:46 PM
Wow Jalen thinks the Warriors will sink to the 7th spot after years of dominating the western conference.  I predicting the Lakers to finish in first, Lebron will have a strong fire burning after missing the playoffs last year and he got to rest after so many deep playoff runs year after year.

I favor the list of Jalen. He is right that Lebron is already old and may probably rest more and not play all 82 games. He cannot play like he played in Cavs where he plays 40-minute games without injury. Even if he stays healthy, the team will rest them to stay healthy for the playoffs.

But I believe nuggets will be the top seed for the west because they are younger and have more chemistry than HOU.
2364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever looked at how much you have wagered with a hanging mouth? :P on: July 17, 2019, 04:52:20 PM
I do not think that total wagered matters because when I looked at one site I gambled, I totaled 0.04 BTC wagered but I only used 200K sats to reach that wager.

Cheesy. That's got to be painful. But then again, just thinking how much btc i have used and gambled when it was only $500-300 makes me want to go full denial mode on my choices.

Same here. But I do not think of it that much because back then it was just small value and I enjoyed using it for gambling anyway. The most losses I incurred is from betting in sports but it made me enjoy the match more anyway.
2365  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Something I noticed when sending USD from Coinbase to my bank account on: July 17, 2019, 04:31:05 PM
I think that 3-days is the standard processing time for bank transfers. It could be less but since you are receiving a generic message then it will state 3 days. If it is just local bank transfer, it can be faster like one-day processing.
2366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 17, 2019, 08:37:33 AM
I guess we can't call any team a super team anymore and there aren't any team now that's a favorite to win the championship. Balance has been brought back 😁
That's what is exciting with the upcoming season of NBA. There is no absolute favorite to win the NBA Championship and the era of Superteam is finally closing. Welcome to the era of super duo.

and though the warriors are by no means weak with kd's departure, a lot of teams in the west now are capable of dethroning them as western conference champs.
GSW will be struggling in the opening of the season since KT is still recuperating from his injury. We will see a reborn GSW when he comes back at the later part of the season. Curry and Green just have to carry the team for a while, while KT is out.

I guess the only thing we can confidently say for now is that we'll have new champions by the end of the season. I highly doubt that the raptors are geared for a repeat.
Without Kawhi on their rooster, it is highly doubtful they will be a contender. At least they had a taste of being a champion for a year, thanks to Kawhi.
2367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Imagine that you're new to crypto now on: July 17, 2019, 08:03:52 AM
Imagine that you are a new player in the crypto world and have no idea about this topic.
What are you doing now? Read the book? You invest your savings in bitcoin, maybe you look at other coins (alts) or maybe you see that the price is falling and you're waiting to buy even lower. If so, do you know when to buy? What's your plan for this moment? Smiley

I would educate myself first and foremost. I will not get involved in something I have totally no idea at all. I would do the necessary diligence to know every cons and pros there is on bitcoin.

The market is in a pickle right now. The price is dropping and US President making negative comments on bitcoin greatly impacted its bull run. Newbies should be wary making investments right now.
2368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is way down today on: July 17, 2019, 01:10:35 AM
Do you know how to protect your cryptocurrency from whale ‘rinse and repeat’ trades?

You are only affected by this if you are a trader, otherwise, just hold your bitcoin and the price will eventually go back up.

For traders, you can just set a target price for profit and stick to it. Also, set a stop loss so you won't get wrecked when the price suddenly goes against your trade. Chasing max profit usually does not goes well to daily traders.
2369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao Now Stands as Favorite vs Thurman — Sportsbooks on: July 16, 2019, 10:43:25 PM
Keith Thurman is confident he can "figure out" Manny Pacquiao-

Thurman Versus Pacquiao: Can Thurman Turn The Odds And Knock Pacquiao Out?-
https://www.ibtimes.com/thurman-versus-pacquiao-can-thurman-turn-odds-knock-pacquiao-out-2806676
It's easy to say than doing it,  boxers have a lots of time reviewing their opponents style and to keep finding good style to take the edge of winning but from that point the opposing party also taking its time to find ways to counter the possibilities, new sets of combinations and new sets of training practices, it will be a good match seeing both fighters to be aggressive to win this match.

Yeah, but normally boxers target the weak habits of their opponents. those habits are hard to change. As the fight goes longer habits will come out. Just like how pacquaio throws knockout punches leading with his head. That is how Marquez koed him. When he went for the kill, he leaned forward with his head open. Marquez countered him. Thurman can study pacquiao and find  habits he can exploit as well.
2370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What ease your mind the most about bitcoin on: July 16, 2019, 04:36:21 PM
The thought that I have total control over my bitcoin. No one can take it away from me, even the government, ease my mind on bitcoin.

honesty, it is making easy and fast money.i thought it was easy lol.
Unfortunately, it not always that easy. Trading needs a lot of reading and preparation. Investment is a risk and there is always a chance that you will lose.
2371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think a "winning mindset" can get you what you want while gambling? on: July 16, 2019, 03:09:23 PM
Though it is also important to have a positive mindset as "winning mindset", we still experienced loses. And that may actually affect or reduce our confidence, our optimistic approach and optimistic mindset. This is gambling, it may somehow help if you carry a positive approach but luck is always the main reason why we are winning.
I think this mindset is all about attracting positive things on you. Like what they say in Law of Attraction, positive thoughts attract positive experience. So having a positive mindset attracts good luck into the player. Since gambling is all about luck, it is just right to have a positive mindset before gambling.
2372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 16, 2019, 02:58:18 PM
The trust with Gianis even if he didnt perform well on the Finals is still intact. Brogdon's loss though is a huge one. He just made it from his injury and traded now to Indiana. Looks like they are just going to use him while Oladipo is injured.

Giannis still needs to improve a lot. He has become predictable and other teams already know how to exploit his weakness. It's that or the team compliments him with good outside shooters so he can freely exploit the inside when defense spreads out.

Are there any benefits for those team who didn't really shuffle their line ups? Like, there are no changes in their line up from the previous season.

Maybe the benefit is more on teamwork since they know each other well. But I believe even good teams need a little tweak in the lineup. If they did not win a championship, then it means that they are not the best team that can be. They can keep the core but the role players can be switched to improve the performance of a team.
2373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will there be physical casinos operating with cryptos in the future? on: July 16, 2019, 11:40:47 AM
My thoughts here, I wonder if in the future, physical casinos will use cryptos

I know casinos use coins to spend inside and them people can exchange these coins to fiat money again

But maybe a casino can use cryptos inside, you buy a card with BTC or LTC for example, and you can play with this card

Have you ever think about his? What is you opinion guys?

I do not think that is practical at all. Chips will stay as a standard on any casino because it is easier to count and stack. It just feels great if you can see a large stack of chips on your table.

But cryptocurrency can still be integrated to any casinos. Casinos can accept crypto as payment for chips. If I am a gambler, I rather have my winnings in crypto so no one can steal it away from me when I walk out the establishments.
2374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We can't blame crypto and blockchain technology on: July 15, 2019, 05:54:37 PM
The problem is we started off at the wrong foot when bitcoin was used in the black market for drugs and illegal activities. That is the image retained to those who are not exposed to cryptocurrency and do not fully understand bitcoin or blockchain. And then scammers are rampant in cryptosphere. Bitcoin can be used in good and bad things but in here the bad side is the one always exposed to the public. It is just a matter of exposing the good side of bitcoin more.
2375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we ever have altcoin season again. on: July 15, 2019, 03:43:13 PM
I honestly do not know if there will still be an altcoin season but for altcoin holders, like me, have no choice but to hold on to it or sell at loss. I believe in the fundamentals of the altcoin that I am holding right now so, I do not fear this bear season for alts. I believe my alts will eventually move up in value.

I think that the big movement will start in the end of August or early September, so now we need to continue to buy more altcoins.

What made you think that this will happen? If bitcoin price continues to rise, altcoins will remain in the back burner. I do not see bitcoin slowing down, at least for the near future.
2376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pacquiao Now Stands as Favorite vs Thurman — Sportsbooks on: July 15, 2019, 03:48:01 AM
I am betting for a knock out in this match and I am in even numbers of round. So if thurman gets knock out on numbers 2,4,6,8,10 & 12 then I can have my win profit.

At this point in the career of Manny Pacquiao, I am not expecting a KO anymore. The most I am expecting is a unanimous decision in favor of Pacquiao.

Manny is very ready to fight even right now. I just do hope that he won't overtrain as there are a lot of reports coming from Philippine media that Manny is already at the peak of his training already and as I have said can fight anytime, anywhere.
That is to be expected because we are just a few days away from the bout. He will be reducing his sparring matches in preparation for the fight night.

Usually younger fighter has a better stamina but Pacquaio is an exemption, he hasn't slowed down on its movement in the ring but maybe the power was reduced a bit.

That still needs to be proven. We will see on the fight night if he still has enough stamina to last fo12 rounds. I think Thurman's strategy is to move around a lot in the ring. That will require a lot of energy from Pacquiao to catch a younger fighter.
2377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 14, 2019, 03:38:45 PM
Speaking of first pick, Zion is injured? It may not be that serious but I think that can be dangerous for the team in the future games.

If I am correct, his injury is just bruised knees. SO, there is nothing to worry about that. The challenge will be in the coaching staff of Pelicans how will they train zion to become fitter. In my opinion, he is overweight for the way he plays. He can easily bust those knees if he keeps on playing like that without proper weight management.

That's what I think about Westbrook. The team management may have made a bad idea of bringing Westbrook to Houston though. Eventhough he is a good player in his position but Houston has James Harden who we know lead the team and I don't think Westbrook will follow the lead of Harden.

Let us not over judge them for now. They know their circumstances right now and I hope they act to it accordingly. They are already aging and still chasing a championship ring. I hope they'll prioritize the game and championship over personal ego. Let's see when the season commence how these two will blend together.
2378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone else experienced this with Stake.com?? on: July 13, 2019, 05:40:16 PM
I sometimes played on stake.com out of curiosity, this post was posted May and this is July and so by now the bug has been fixed, so far I have never experienced that, but if you have a poor connection you will suffer lag in updating your bet and of course your balance.

It can still happen sometimes. I experience this issue when I play stake in two different browsers. Like I am playing auto dice on one, and poker on the other. I do this when there are race competitions. Sometimes the balance does not update on one browser.
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 5 Bitcoin Dice Strategy Guide: How to Win at Crypto Dice on: July 13, 2019, 05:17:28 PM
1-3. Its not always work, you need a bigger amount because if you don't have enough fund the loses streak will aim you. A normal lose streak it could be around 5-7 streak, if you not lucky you can get 10-15 loses streak and make your amount out of the fund.
Actually, I experience that once but not in a dice game. That is a first-hand experience how fast your funds get depleted by martingale strategy and really long losing streaks do exists.

4. This its was nice, for the player who doesn't have a big amount.

5. I'm never using this method, maybe i will try it sometimes. Want to see the result using this method.

Tried them but I do not have the luck to win from that strategy.

In the end, my conclusion is, do not try to win. Just enjoy the game. It is a game of luck. You win some, you lose some.
2380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: July 13, 2019, 04:03:41 PM
Maybe they could stop Harden from making 300 dribbles before he shoots the ball. Grin
Easier said than done. Remember, this was the cause of the rift between him and CP. Harden just do not want to play off the ball.

But I think they have the individual talents needed to make into the championship. It will be a hard task for the coach to make these two superstars blend together but it can be done. If they can work together, they have solid role players on their back.
