2381  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: **UPDATED** Current P2Pool Server List on: August 30, 2013, 05:02:04 PM
I'm going to have connection issues for the next week or so here (pulling CAT5 through the house, moving electrical sockets, etc, etc), so 847Pool is going down as of now.

Considering I've had about 3 miners connecting for a total of about 10 minutes, I don't think it'll be missed.  I doubt I'll bring it back up in a hurry.
2382  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BFGMiner + Block Eruptor - GPU Mining: Somewhat Noobish Question on: August 30, 2013, 02:07:07 PM
Or -G does it too.

You'll also want -S erupter:all - uses the proper driver then.
2383  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Not all USB's assigned a COM number on: August 30, 2013, 02:05:34 PM

Of note: this problem port is directly on the computer.  The other ports are all through powered hubs.

There's your answer.  The BE probably isn't getting enough power directly from the PC.

I have my 11th BE plugged in to the 2-port hub in my monitor.

Weird, new version picks up 4 of my Block Erupters as BES and the other 7 as BEE.  Hashing seems unaffected.  Huh  Running with only -S erupter:all -G parameter.

Only thing I can think is different is there are 4 older ones (non-CE/ROHS marked) and the other 7 are only a few weeks old?

Yeah, I realised that after I posted.  I also realised I didn't care and you'd see it anyway.  Grin

Any word on the blades?
2387  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Looking to Join a Mining Pool... on: August 29, 2013, 09:35:13 PM
P2Pool - run by folks like me, who believe Bitcoins should stay decentralised.   Wink

Canary's thread says the new Blade is USB controlled.  And 4BTC.

Still keen for one of these if they're indeed that price.  Maybe two.

2389  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Asteroid -- a new Mac mining client on: August 29, 2013, 09:16:05 AM
Just posting to say I've tried Asteroid on my new Macbook Pro, and I'm seeing the same issue with reporting of only a single Erupter. I am still beta testing, I just haven't got much to say that hasn't been said already. Smiley
2390  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Working with more than 50 Erupters on: August 29, 2013, 09:12:50 AM

Strange thing is, I had a smaller computer as my original miner, and these devices show up as COM ports in that computer, but not on this one, which is probably the issue, but not sure how to correct it.

I am entirely on USB 2.0 (3.0 doesn't seem to work at all with the erupters...)

There's something screwed up with your USB drivers.  Some USB3 chips have weird drivers (I never got them working off AsMedia USB3 chip on my AMD machine, but they work perfectly on my Intel machine's H61 chipset USB3).  They work OK on any USB2 I've tried, even when plugged in through the USB2 hub in my monitor.

You should get a COM port assigned if the VCP drivers and USB drivers are working OK.  Then just use the -S erupter:all - works perfectly for me.

6BTC is too much for me at the moment, sorry.

That's a crying shame that we missed the 4BTC price.  Ah well.
2392  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #5 on: August 28, 2013, 06:12:16 PM
Well I'm in no panic for them, so I could possibly go for two if the GB goes on longer.  I'm ready to go on one, but happy to wait.
2393  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: In two days i'm stopping GPU Mining ! on: August 28, 2013, 02:52:11 PM
Where did you get "free" electricity?
it always cost money, only stolen if really free ;-)

The big yellow thing in the sky gives me free electricity (when averaged out over the year).

As per the poster above, the heat produced also helps heat my house in the winter, so I'm saving kerosene which is 65p a litre (and can use 1000 litres in a really cold winter).
2394  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #5 on: August 28, 2013, 01:58:21 PM
If around 4BTC I'll take one for definite.
2395  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #5 on: August 28, 2013, 01:33:52 PM
4.1BTC for Asia and Oz customers.  Shocked

Whoop!  Grin

Time to cancel my Jalapeno order then?  Cheesy
2398  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [INVENTORY CLEARANCE] 10-13 GH blade for 5 btc on: August 28, 2013, 08:31:44 AM
How much for delivery to UK (seeing they're a rip-off 12BTC here in EU)?
2399  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Block Erupter Europe thread -->usb from 0.4 | blade 12 on: August 28, 2013, 08:30:35 AM
So Canary is selling the Blades at 5BTC - what's the problem here in EU?  Why are they nearly 240% more expensive here?  Huh
2400  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICMiner USB Block Erupters and Blades #5 on: August 28, 2013, 08:18:24 AM
This makes me sad: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=23768.msg3024374#msg3024374

Blades for BTC5 - I think something's amiss if the best that can be done for EU customers is BTC12.  Customs can't be THAT much.
