1601  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: December 02, 2013, 08:38:35 AM
3.8.0 is out now...

I'm still mining away like a champ, just over 30GH now (BlueFuzzy, 2x Blades, and a Jalapeno at 5GH which will be getting flashed when I get a moment's peace).
1602  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.7.0: modular ASIC/FPGA, GBT, Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, bifury/twinfury on: December 02, 2013, 08:34:10 AM
Luke Jr. please help.  I have tried for many days of exhaustive effort to get my BE Blade to work with the BFGminer --http-port 8000 option and I have nothing but frustration.  I am currently mining getwork at Eligius.  Thank you.  These are the steps I have taken.  First I downloaded the Win32 BFGminer and installed it on my XPsp3 system which has E8500 core2duo.  BFG did not recognize my blade so I tried to make a .bat file but windows won't allow it and says bfg is not a valid win32 program.

This is all you need to do.

When you say the Blades weren't recognised, what do you mean?  Did you expect the Blades to suddenly appear?  Did you actually go to the Blade's management page and point them to the IP of the machine running BFGMiner, using a unique username on each Blade?
1603  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: (UK) ASICMiner Cube 30Gh/s to 38Gh/s (worldwide) on: December 02, 2013, 08:27:25 AM

I think I'd be waiting on OutCast3K's GB for these - he's the official ASICMiner distributor for the UK, and a trusted and proven supplier.

I don't want to say "I told you so", but..."I told you so".   Roll Eyes

They're still several months behind on the Jalapenos,

As I said above, I have my June 30th 7GH Jalapeno already.  Don't go by Jody's blog.

If you go through to the checkout you will still  have to check a checkbox saying:

Quote
I accept the terms of the sale and understand that all sales are final and there is a backlog of orders and production and delivery of my order may take 2 months or longer.

hmmmm.. I guess BFL considers 2 months 'Immediate Delivery'  Roll Eyes

They forgot to change that on the web site, according to the spam email I got today.

We do not support generated transactions from pools like Eligius, P2Pool etc.

What does this mean technical?

It means technically they don't support generated transactions from Eligius or P2Pool.   Huh
1607  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Blue Fury Support Thread. on: November 29, 2013, 06:55:03 PM
So, there's a few folks in the UK have returned dead BlueFurys to OC3k.

Considering there doesn't seem to be anything happening with replacements, what's the chances of a refund?  Mine only worked for an hour and then threw the towel in.  For a device now worth approx $1000 it's a bit....well, to be frank.....shit.
1608  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: November 29, 2013, 06:50:37 PM
I'm thinking refunds will be due if new miners don't appear soon.  I could use those BTC to buy a 20GH unit...
1609  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Request for an pool with diff to be changed too unlimited value on: November 29, 2013, 02:29:42 PM
If you're looking for 1,000,000 diff shares at 1.5GH/s, you're doing it wrong.
1610  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: UK ASICminer Blade and Cube group buy #9 on: November 29, 2013, 01:32:20 PM
For the first part of my 2nd order I now have a DHL tracking#
The rest of the order will be shipped today (according to asicminer)

That's cool.  You MUST have some idea on price now then?
1611  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Getting my blade to start hashing on: November 29, 2013, 01:07:27 PM

Because you have to run bfgminer in proxy mode for the blade.... you are better off running the usb's on another system.

This is bullshit.  Rather than giving wrong advice, try not saying anything at all.

Does the new version's scanning system mean it's possible to run BlueFuzzies, Block Erupters and other USB miners without having to manually input device names?

I'm running various different USB miners off MinePeon/BFG 3.6.0 and it's a total pain in the hole having to manually configure device names.  I'd rather go back to running BFGMiner on Linux or Windows than mess with all that shit every time I move a USB device or reboot.

I'm still waiting on a replacement for my dead one from the first GB....  Roll Eyes

I've already got my June 30th 7GHz Jalapeno (shipped to UK by paddle-steamer).  Arrived yesterday.
1615  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block Erupter Blade Scam!!! on: November 28, 2013, 06:22:34 PM

The thing that makes me angry is I spent several days on the forums and NOBODY talks about this!!!

That's because nobody else is doing it wrong like you are.

There's hundreds of threads setting out in great detail how to set up the Blades.  I suggest you read them.

1616  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block erupters and Raspberry Pi problem on: November 28, 2013, 04:58:21 PM
You're running out of power on your hub.
1617  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 22 asicminer blades on: November 28, 2013, 04:50:00 PM
Try running BFGMiner and it's getwork proxy.  It's way more efficient than slush's proxy.
1618  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.7.0: modular ASIC/FPGA, GBT, Strtm, RPC, Mac/Lnx/W64, bifury/twinfury on: November 28, 2013, 04:04:38 PM
It's a shame not so many people are aware of the BeagleBone Black - only marginally more expensive than the RaspberryPi, has 2GB flash memory on board, USB that works, and is a bit faster.

I do run a RPi myself, only because I happened to have one.  If I were starting again, I'd run a BeagleBone.
1619  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: November 28, 2013, 03:18:22 PM
I'm using 0.2.4.2 and somehow I upgraded BFGMiner to 3.6.0 .  I was trying to upgrade it to 3.7.0 but I'm damned if I can remember how I did it, and my googlefu is weak today...
1620  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PSU Seasonic X not working (?) on: November 28, 2013, 03:00:59 PM
You did push a paper clip between a black and the green connections on the ATX connector, didn't you?  The PSU won't do anything until green and black are connected...
