1661  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.6.0: modular ASIC/FPGA, GBT, Strtm, RPC, Lnx/OpnWrt/PPA/W64, HBR/KLN on: November 24, 2013, 07:07:53 PM
Is the Klondike K16 supported now in BFG?  I can't be sure looking at the readmes.
The driver is pretty poor code (almost verbatim import from cgminer), so I'll probably rewrite it when/if they get back to me with protocol specs (or maybe reverse engineer it from this code), but it should work as of 3.6.0...

Cheers. Smiley

I was bidding on a K16 on Fleabay, but it went for Silly Moneytm - someone was pretty keen to pay £280 for the thing...
1662  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CgMiner nvidia Ubuntu 12.10 on: November 24, 2013, 07:06:12 PM
cgminer doesn't support GPU mining any more.  As you didn't say which version of cgminer you're using, I can only assume that's your issue.

Wow, terrible pictures.  Shocked  Putting yellow boxes round blurs doesn't really help either.  Roll Eyes

1665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CGMiner/Multiminer difficulties: Connecting to pools properly and device detect on: November 24, 2013, 05:16:46 PM
A nVidia card mining BTC will be so slow you're unlikely to be able to mine anything, ever now.  Difficulty is so high that any share your card might get will most likely be stale long before the card does anything with it.

Even a top-end ATI card (which can mine unlike nVidia) is pointlessly slow now.

Heck, even my last remaining Block Erupter at 333MH (about 10 times faster than your GPU) struggles to mine properly even at Diff 1 shares.
1666  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Burned out PSU - need advices - on: November 24, 2013, 04:48:32 PM
Bad connection lead to high resistance, which leads to heating, which leads to meltdown.

This is why I avoid modular PSUs like the plague.  It's another set of connections, which leads to the possibility of dodgy connections.
1667  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Need help with my threads: BFGMiner on: November 24, 2013, 04:44:46 PM
I've never seen it not do that when using dynamic intensity.  Set your intensity manually, and it'll cure the issue.
1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segmentation Fault Core Dumped - CGMiner on: November 24, 2013, 04:42:52 PM
12.8 is the best driver to use, which I think has SDK 2.8.
1669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: windows 7 or windows 8 for bitcoins on: November 24, 2013, 04:40:57 PM
Windows should be avoided at all costs, regardless in my opinion.

Don't talk shit.  Roll Eyes

1671  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: GHASH.io reporting hashrate much lower than hardware noncerate on: November 24, 2013, 04:33:49 PM
I think there's something glitching there today, I got hashrate warning emails for my cloud hashing.  The hashrate is up and down like a yoyo.

Hey guys, when i used btc guild they stored my earned bitcoin and I would manually request a payment when I wanted. Is this available with Eligius?

nope

Wrong.  Roll Eyes

Set your auto payout to some high number, then when you want a payout change the auto payout to something lower than your current balance.
1673  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Most Profitable Minning pool on: November 24, 2013, 04:29:41 PM
I recommend selling the Block Erupter to some mug on eBay, because that is the ONLY way you'll make any profit.  Period.
1674  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 3.6 on Windows 8.1 on: November 24, 2013, 01:10:34 PM
I'm not saying you're wrong, but the Linux version of BFGMiner uses my processors on my netbook.

You've compiled CPU support in then.

CPU support isn't compiled in to the Windows binaries.  But you'd know that if you'd bothered to read the READMEs...
1675  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: CGminer: Failed network error on all version downloads on: November 22, 2013, 01:13:55 PM
Virus checker, disable it

Or get a proper AV package, like MS Security Essentials.  It Just Workstm - all these other free AV programs are pile of crap, and the expensive ones like Norton and McAfee are worse than useless.
1676  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to solo mine on 2-3 comps? on: November 22, 2013, 01:11:40 PM
so i dont instll QT anywhere ele than 1 comp.

then i use miners [on comps without qt] with:
bfgminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:6666 -u user -p pass

and thats it? will my entwork even see that port as usable?

Yes, that's it.

Why would your network NOT see the port?   Huh  You're really over-thinking this, it's simple.
1677  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Erupter blade. Help! on: November 22, 2013, 01:10:13 PM
So is what you are saying is I should hook it up with the 2 Oranges that say 300V on each wire then I take the 4 Blacks(grounds) and plug 2 in each slow on the negative sides? Then hook up a couple fans to the PSU so it doesn't shot off when I turn it on.

Pretty much, yep. Smiley
1678  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: how to prevent: USB device in use? on: November 22, 2013, 01:08:57 PM
I use Raspberry PI and ASIC Butterfly 30 GHs.

Why not use something like MinePeon?
1679  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Does mining hardwares work as they are advertised? on: November 22, 2013, 11:51:45 AM
BFL are a pack of shitsters. I wouldn't buy another thing off them if they were the last company on the planet.

What happened?

Wow.  Really?  You're kidding, right?  Huh
