Hi all, I managed to set up minerd to CPU to mine for DRK, but is is a waste of time (5 hours and nothing), so I bought a graphics card to up my hash rate, but I seem to be having issues? cgminer doesn't seem to be detecting my card? I'm running linux mint 32bit, my graphics card is an GeForce GT 610. How do I set up AMD-APP-SDK for my card? Is there a really good "noob" friendly guide to setting up my graphics card to mine on linux? (I love linux, but it can be a pain in the ass installing software). Many thanks in advance for any info to help a noob miner out cgminer is for amd cards. Not sure if there's an nvidia miner for darkcoin atm. And to be honest you are better off buying if you are not mining with a amd card. |

Yes, but there is more to it than that, only I can't explain it. You should join the testing, it's always open to anyone. And my dreams are a bit tongue in cheek, having fun I really don't know exactly how it all works, but it seems to work in testing and fast! I'm wondering if mined coins are included? There doesn't seem to be any delay in the combining of the amounts before they go out again. I still think darkcoin is undervalued when compared to the competition. For example: Worldcoin, Feathercoin, Megacoin , Infinitecoin, quark, novacoin are all in front of darkcoin which i don't see why they should be. It is just down to relative maturity. DRK is very young and has a number of phases to go through before it reaches comparable status. auroracoin is young look at its market cap. |

Also about the bloated block chain question, it would depend also on what block time they use. For example, 2.5 min block time will bloat the blockchain more than a 10min block time. If zerocoin use a longer block time, then this bloating issue won't even be much of an issue.

I'm seriously hoping for a new roof on the house, LOL My plan is sell some at $200 and fix the roof Sell at $1200 and add to retirement fund, LOL. but lets face it, if it goes that high, could I get myself to sell? Zerocoin is around the corner, which doesn't suffer from the issue of being able to track amounts using coinjoin which is what Darkcoin is using. So that already means there is going to be a superior anonymous coin out there. It also doesn't suffer from the issue of having to have 2 or more transactions occur at the same time for a darksend transaction to go through. if you would at least try to read what this coin does, we wouldnt be having this conversation, yes, it does use elements from coinjoin, but there are several things included, that has nothing to do with coinjoin, go a few pages back, TanteStefana reposted a brief that eduffield wrote, read that, then we can continue.. besides, zerocoin, really needs to get shaped up, or else you will end with a VERY bloated chain I know that it spilts each transaction up into certain decimals. The answer to your question is hackers and you will see when all the dust settles that the cold wallets have not been seized by the feds.
Furthermore, I'd like to know how "plausible" it is for the feds to slap a gag order on Mark, seize his coins, have the world hunting him, stalking him, his employees, outside his office, threats on the forum ect and Mark just stays quiet.. Not to mention going bankrupt, having the Manhattan DA investigating him ect ect ect ect ect.
I don't think he would go through all that. He would just spill the beans., It would have leaked if that was the case because in the end it would have been easy to prove if it had happened, which it did not.
The coins were stolen, and that's all there is to it.
We don't know what happened to the coins, its better to stop coming to conclusions as its presumptuous to do so. Making claims that you do know make it seem to others that you have a clear agenda and you are trying to push it on everyone instead of them thinking for themselves. Don't be a shill. |
