241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: GOLD Reward [GRX] - Gamification, Lending and Analytics API on: November 16, 2017, 03:12:08 AM
When will GRX token distribution into investors wallet begin? I baven't seen mine yet.

I got my coins from the latest batch a few hours ago. You can configure it manually with the contract address as well.

I have configured GRX custom token in my wallet but it is still showing 0 GRX balance. I am quite apprehensive right now.

Binance isn't working fine for me. It has login issues, but I will check to see if they have fixed that. Mercatox would have been a better listing.

Doesanyone  know what drove bcpt up and so fast to around 89% in the last few hours? Will the gains hold or not?

I'm just curious, why Richard and devs didn't mention anything about 2FA security layer. I mean, project that raised 40M$ should have had some extra layers of security, and maybe 2FA and backup address could have prevented all this thing that is happening. Or the 2FA isn't as secure as I think it is?

They mentioned 2FA is "too complicated" for non tech users, and it won't help mass adoption. :/

Yes I agree with that. But here we have two groups of people, one that invested in ICO phase, and second that will buy/sell/"mine" etc stuff when it goes viral. The first one, that participated in ICO, surely know what 2FA is and how to implement it(if they knew how to send funds and buy ETN). Second group, which are all possible future users of ETN mobile "miner", could have been guided step-by-step how to implement it. I mean, 2FA is realy easy to setup, you have to follow 5-6 easy steps to set it up. All new users should be awered that their security in crypto should be on maximum level.

2FA complicated for non tech users? And how does that compare to creating and using paper wallet? I think the wise solution would be to add 2FA and make it optional.

It will be nice to see how we grow together, the app will surely be magnificent and will cover a lot of financial markets full of bureaucracy and that will create the need to use bcpt by all, greetings.

BCPT is Awesome! Doing great in the last couple of days.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED][POW]⚡ELECTRONEUM⚡Offical Moderated Thread on: November 12, 2017, 06:40:27 PM
I agree. cannot say it better. I have full believe in them. in the long run, those who hold will get huge appreciation.

There is literally 0% chance of ETN to be a scam. There is no point in them doing anything if it was scam. But they are still going forward. You could claim they were a bit incompetent with the release, but even that was just bad luck and only 1 mistake. And lastly, the only reason we are facing a longer delay is because they want to be more sincere and give the best product which is a commendable thing for them to do.

Now, whether it releases Dec 1 or Nov 1 shouldn't make a difference in long term and especially if you wanted to hodl. I know a lot people got upset about the fact that cryptopia price is so high and they feel like they missed their chance to sell. But the fact is that if all the wallets got released on Nov 1 then cryptopia price wouldve never risen to that high to begin with.

Lastly, this is just my personal advice: which is to hodl. Anybody who wants to sell obviously can but it really doesnt make sense to participate in an ICO for a quick flip. ICO is not the place for quick flip. ICO is for hodl so that you can make tremendous gain in the future and one should only invest in ICO if they actually believe in the product. So release date is irrelevant in that case (albeit a bit inconvenient).

FYI I'm an investor myself and on the same boat as all of you.

Thats my 2cents.

Thanks

I hear some say that the hasty release of ETN without the release of investors fund and mobile miner was deliberate, so to allow the devs get into early bird mining to scoope and dump this gold coin for much gain. Could this be true?
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about PlexCoin? on: November 12, 2017, 04:47:31 AM
Got update email from Plexcoin. It restored dot com domain, released bonuses and comfirmed transactions for investors who bought PLEX using credit card during the ICO. It further announced that plex would be listed on major exchanges in days to come. What do you think???

Nice video from a guy who went to Electroneum office : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGmcE1U_070

great post, I was not panicked anyway, it seems we just gotta wait 3-4 weeks,

Our coins are all secure, and fine and cosy in cotton, on the blockchain, so we do not have to panic.

Great video, I think people need to watch it, richard E and team are quite transparent.

This will be huge. :-)  Buying more on cryptopia today. NICE!

VID here ==>  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGmcE1U_070

I have watched the Video and I am convinced that my money is safe with electroneum. However, I think the team is not telling the whole truth on what is happening for whatever reasons. The team had announced on its official blog on the 28th of Oct. there decision to switch to Monero from the original Bytecoin based algorithm, and for obvious reasons that was not to be a mean task. But they probably lied when they claimed in the said blog post that the Monero switch was done and dusted and ready for the launch of electroneum. My take is that they are currently working on the Monero fork. The hack story is mere cover up. Smart Brits!
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ELECTRONEUM SPECULATION THREAD on: November 09, 2017, 03:30:51 AM
The future value of electroneum depends greatly on the community and for this reason the dev team must quickly do the best it can to release investors ICO coins and sustain confidence. Right now, the community is anxious and patience is draining out fast.

While I sympathize with the dev team, the fact of the matter is that this project has lost its buzz, let alone credibility.
The excitement and vibe is just not there anymore.
Even when they release the wallets anytime soon, the hype has moved on.
Massive supply and lukewarm demand.
Not the fire cracking exchange reception I was hoping for.

i believe we should give the devs some time and space.
this is very new, not even a month, and the price currently is doing good (5x the ico).
lets all be patient and put some trust in the devs.

Yep, we should give the devs time and space.
I agree we should be patient and trust in the devs.
Yeah ETN is new and the 5X price is great CURRENTLY but do you seriously think that price will stand when the wallets are open?

dev need to give a timeline....

It is really unfortunate because I thought ETN would have a cheering entrance into the market, but that wasn't the case. I still think it is better delayed than never, or would we have preffered the DAO expirience? Centainly not.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Ꞩ SOCIAL - Decentralized Social Network, Marketplace & Ad Platform on: November 07, 2017, 10:25:09 PM
SCL is barely holding at 2500 satoshi, but better times will come.

Our announcement later today (or tomorrow at the latest) should definitely help with this. People will be able to see our end goal for version 2.0 with real screenshots of what we have been working on lately. Very excited to share it with you all!

well, that didn't work, lol.

Our newest blog post talks about the Social rebrand and shows sneak peaks into what we're developing

https://medium.com/@nexus.social/social-rebrand-development-updates-14ca3e7d161e

Thanks for sharing, looks a bit like facebook, are you sure they won't come down on you with their arsenal of lawyers to shut you down?

In our opinion, it looks nothing like Facebook. We had a team of reputable designers from Mizko who have worked with Microsoft and Adobe in the past to come up with these unique designs for us. Facebook is too cluttered, while ours are clean and make good use of white space.

I am optimistic about this project. It has the potential to displace Facebook.

Latest update:

Quote
Yet another all night coding session! Each time we've run through the updated code we've found less and less items that needed fixing, and we're down to just a handful to go.
Each time I think we'll get it live, we seem to have missed, but we are SUPER CLOSE! We've literally worked all day and all night and are tantalisingly close to getting this live.
I know I was hopefull to get it live Sunday night, and then I was sure that it would be live Monday night. Working out a firm delivery time for software is a very tricky process, especially when you've introduced thousands of new lines of code and have made major enhancements in a hurry. We started at the weekend with a TON of bugs and errors, and now we have it down to a trickle. We are going to get some sleep and be back on this by lunchtime. Please keep your fingers crossed for a launch later today - I've got past the point of promising it, but we are STRIVING as HARD AS WE CAN to deliver this, and I do truly, understand everyone's frustration. I'm so sorry for these delays, we are nearly there.

This is quite re-assuring. I appreciate the team's dedication and commitment.

hi greetings to all.
the ONLY way to buy more ETN is thru cryptopia isnt it?
then how to transfer to our own wallet?
can somebody enlighten me please?
thanks.

Sign in to cryptopia and you'll see ETN/BTC pair atop the top coins. Place your buy order and wait to get it filled. To transfer, click Balances on the 'B' icon to see your available ETN, then click on the reddish arrow icon to start a transfer. Enter your ETN desitination wallet address and click done and finally, open your account registration mail inbox and find a comfirmation email from cryptopia. Comfirm the transfer and you are done.

Note: ETN is on its own blockchain and wallet and may not work with your other wallets.
255  Bitcoin / Project Development / 4 Blockchain Projects That Could Expand the Cryptocurrency World on: November 06, 2017, 02:08:52 AM
There is always a new page for a new age. The invention of bitcoin and  blockchain technology by Satoshi marked the beginning of a gradual  and eventual flip over of the era of fiat currencies and traditional payment systems, just as the emergence of Ethereum signaled the bowing out of traditional financial institutions.  The crypto world is currently experiencing the awesome power of the blockchain technology in the numerous tokenized smart contracts being rolled out almost on a daily bases into he crypto and digital currency market, and made possible by Ethereum and other blockchain platforms.

The beauty of blockchain based transactions is the fact that it eliminates third parties, and that makes transactions easier, faster and more private. For these reasons crypto currency is fast gaining acceptance as means of exchange and has so far claimed a significant portion of the global capital market. Despite these gains crypto currency is still not yet a generally preferred means of exchange particularly in formal sectors, and the challenge facing the cryptocurrency community is the issue of high volatility which hinders the  formal adoption of cryptocurrencies by institutions and authorities.

It is widely believed that adoption and general acceptability of cryptocurrencies and by extension the blockchain technology will address the issue of volatility and I would like to briefly discuss a few blockchain projects which I think have the potential of making cryptocurrency become the proffered means of exchange in both formal and informal sectors. These projects  are:

1. ELECTRONEUM. This project aims to provide a digital coin ETN on the Electroneum blockchain and which could be used for normal transactions including retail payments. The high point of this project is the fact that the ETN coin will be  minable on mobile devices and this will attract new crypto users who would love to make extra coins through the mobile miner.

2. BANKERA. A gap obviously exists in conversions and exchanges between cryptos and fiat currencies, and that is what exactly the Bankera project aims to fix. Bankera is a decentralized banking service that will provide a multi channel payment solution through its SpectraCoin wallet, thereby bridging digital curriencies and fiat payment instruments. Hopefully, this project will remove exchange barriers and make cryptocurrencies more flexible and usable in real world transactions.

3. BANKEX. This is another decentralized banking service on the Blockchain. Similar to Bankera above, this project focuses on linking tangible assets to tokens and this will mean the direct  intermingling of real world economy with the Blockchain.

4. OPEN MONEY. In my estimation, this project is the most innovative and probably the most penetrative approach to opening the real world to the blockchain. This is because today's world runs on Apps and Softwares and we all make use of them in one way or the other, and  the Open Money project is taking the development and distribution of Apps and Softwares to the blockchain. The project which can be found at http://openmoney.acemlnc.com/lt.php?s=3d2432c58d224797570ad727f28e9b5b&i=68A73A2A450 will also remove usual  bottlenecks and difficulties  in software project funding and eliminate third party costs and make projects more profitable for developers.

Please help! Now that the mobile wallet is not working how else can I move  my EtN into my exchange wallet?
257  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: November 04, 2017, 03:03:20 AM
Yes, Bitcoin can end world poverty. The fact that the combined wealth of the world is actually more than enough for the world per capita implies that poverty should not exist in the first place, however the challenge of poverty arises from unequal distribution of capital wealth which is the result of varying exchange values of standards of payment being fiat currency. A means of exchange of universal acceptance and value will solve this problem and Bitcoin comes in handy.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin can go to $100 next year? on: November 03, 2017, 09:38:00 PM
So many predictions here and one wouldn't know which coin(s) to stick to. I would rather follow my heart – SCL, DRT, BCPT and not forgeting ETN. They are no big names at the moment but this crypto race is full of suprises.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Numerousity of ICOs and Coins: A Blessing or Curse? on: November 01, 2017, 09:22:33 PM
Asking that the number of tokens should be  pruned is against the golden practice of free entry and exit which protects both consumers and suppliers from exploitation and unfair competition. I think what is needed is regulation, the alternative would be to allow all coins thrive together and in the end the wheat will be seperated from the charf.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Numerousity of ICOs and Coins: A Blessing or Curse? on: November 01, 2017, 04:05:43 AM
I still think some form of regulation for ICOs will be good. Contracts should be such that project administrators and devs may not be able to pull out or access their portions of the raised funds until the project archives a level of adoption.
And how do you propose the arbitrary value of "adoption" is transferred into immutable code?

I do not know the workings of Solidity or any other Language for smart contracts. But I think it could be programmed to work in a way that the percentage of tokens for dev rewards could be made a fork of the original coin and the exchange value of the fork directly tied to the original token in the programme. Then set a trigger that will activate the fork only when a certain level of liquidity of the token is determined based on the IN and OUT flows on the contract address. And when the fork is activated it can then be listed and exchanged for the original token through some form of buy back arrangement.
