241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burger King Russia Introduces The "Whoppercoin" on: February 08, 2018, 11:23:01 PM
I heard that KFC accepts bitcoin in a state here in the US, I just happen to forget exactly where (what state) it is.

Obviously fast food is one of the most commonly purchased items in the entire US. If the US McDonald's locations started doing what BK did in Russia, you would see crypto become 10% more popular overnight. Of course McDonald's would have to offer an incentive for people to use the GoldArch tokens, but if people had a reason to they would and we would see 7 Elevens accepting crypto shortly after. This is the way the future is going to be.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Altcoins are awesome! Why do you like them so much?! on: February 08, 2018, 10:59:37 PM
I obviously got into crypto because of Bitcoin (The King and Original) since it's the first thing that leads you down the rabbit hole. I've been really into crypto now since the end of October. I saw that massive bull run and burst near the end of the year and wow.. it was exciting. This adventure has been the most fun I've had in years, even with the stress and anxiety that comes with the territory. After months of researching, learning and scouring this forum, I found myself to be a very happy dude.

I love crypto and I love altcoins. They are awesome.

Here are 5 things I love about altcoins:

1. Exciting to work for - bounties are great! You may have an idea of what you are going to get for a wage, but it's always like Christmas and who doesn't like a good surprise? I have recived less than $30 for a full month bounty and over $1200 for one that lasted just 3 weeks. I like the mystery of it.

2. When you do altcoin bounties you are working for your portfolio and a future that could bear much fruit. As we saw recently - crashes do happen - but I love crypto enough to take the good with the bad. The bad can be pretty damn rough as well all just saw, but the good can be amazing too!

3. Thrilling to trade with - you can buy altcoins for much less than a penny and if you buy over 1000 (quantity), all you need is to hit that penny mark and you make a couple bucks! It's fun to earn while I learn. I'm new to trading in general and the software and charts can be a little overwhelming at first, but altcoins make it so I don't have to stress very much while figuring everything out. I do about five $100 to $300 trades a day right now in between doing all my bounties and I make anywhere from $10 to $50 from each trade. I absolutely love it and I'm still very much a newbie to trading. Once I get better and the market recovers a bit I imagine I will have even more fun!

4. The community in crypto is awesome and I especially like the altcoin communities. As new projects launch so do new communities. A few that I personally love are REBL and Otho.network. I spend probably an hour every day just reading those forums, interacting in those telegram groups and growing with the communities. The forum here is obviously the greatest crypto forum in the world, and I spend most of my time in the alternate cryptocurrencies/altcoin discussion section.

5. The future for altcoins appears limitless - Ethereum is my favorite coin because it powers so many new technologies and ICOs. I love the fact that Eth lays down the pavement for so many new ideas and projects. We truly have no clue what lies ahead in terms of innovation and breakthroughs. What the blockchain and the people involved will come up with next is very exciting and a great thing to look forward to every day when I check the news. I see altcoins powering smart cities and entire societies changing because of their technology. This is like the new renaissance and although we owe it to Bitcoin for starting it, altcoins are powering the way forward.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite ICO on: February 08, 2018, 10:34:52 PM
Being from the US I am pretty much banned from 99% of ICOs right now and I don;t feel like using a VPN to buy tokens in case the company I try to buy from decides to keep my money since I broke their Terms & Conditions policies.

That being said, the best ICO I have participated in as far as bounties goes would have to be Sirin Labs up to this point. I think their Finney software and smartphones as well as computers are going to be absolute homeruns in the next year or so. The day I received my bounty payment I had well over $1200 in my MEW and that was the most I had made yet from a bounty. I picked that project because I truly believed in it and I liked the products. Now, I choose my bounties the same way all the time. I pick projects I think are cool and innovative as well as run by a strong team.

244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we have an impact? on: February 08, 2018, 10:28:36 PM
I believe we do have an impact, even if a small one. I also believe that many whales read this forum every day. I mean come on...Satoshi started this forum and Buterin has the Eth launch thread still here. Don't be fooled, this is where the big waves come from - from the people behind the keyboards on bitcointalk.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet get hacked? on: February 08, 2018, 09:57:51 PM
I hear many people theorizing about how MEW "could" be hacked, but I seriously want to know:

Has anyone here ACTUALLY HAD THEIR MEW HACKED?

If so, do you know how it happened?
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to crypto on: February 08, 2018, 09:55:14 PM
I know one of the reason you are here is to make money, but know for a fact there is no free money in the space, do you research before you invest into any project and do not invest more than you can afford to lose, because there will always be another good opportunities

There is ALMOST free money in airdrops...and while yes, you may have to fill out a form which takes about 1 minutes, and in some cases they want you to follow their twitter, tweet a tweet, share a Facebook post, but for 10 minutes worth of work you can make upwards of $500 in some cases. Not exactly free but pretty damn close. I know a few members that made over $100k from the Oyster airdrop and that was similar and pretty much free. How would you like an extra $100k for less than an hour or work?

Just had to get that out there because a lot of these older members don't exactly explain that it was quite easy to make a lot of money not too long ago just by being in the right place at the right time and the right place was here in this forum and the right time was not too long ago.

Just sayin...........
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance: Hacked or not? on: February 08, 2018, 09:49:24 PM
The headshot gif was pretty amusing. The reply from Binance was a pretty clear slap to the face of John Mcafee too.

He probably should keep his mouth shut in cases like this.

He is a large influence that is straight up ASSUMING things that could cause a small market crash lol
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I name my coin "Bitcoin XXX"? on: February 08, 2018, 09:42:17 PM
Sure, why not. And to be quite honest, it WOULD be good for branding and marketing other than what others may tell you.

Bitcoin for the adult industry?

Sounds like big $$$ to me...
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum address with no ether on: February 08, 2018, 09:35:16 PM
Is it possible to receive tokens on an ethereum wallet that has no ether yet? I think it should be possible as the gas is paid by the sender, but I would like to know if someone is certain.

As long as you have Gas you can receive ERC-20 token be sure to keep it safe and don't ever show your private key to everyone or else you'll be hack and when sending token to any exchange you load up your MEW.

This is incorrect.

You do NOT need to have gas in order to RECEIVE ERC20 tokens - You only need gas to send them from say your MEW to Etherdelta to trade/sell them.

You can apply for airdrops or do bounties and the sender pays for the gas to send you those tokens. This is why airdrops are expensive for the people doing them, especially large scale ones.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beware DeepOnion is lying to community on: February 08, 2018, 09:32:34 PM
DeepOnion has a bounty program masquerading as an airdrop.  Its unprofessional how they lie to you off the start.
Onion seems to be no more than a copy paste of Bitcoin Plus with a logo change and no new features.
I have noticed they heavily censor their thread to keep out any criticism, which cannot be healthy.

Please post other coins which censor and mislead their community.
Scorecoin might be the worst... all you see in their thread is just comments from the copy and paster in charge.

Yeah it does seem like they make people do a whole bunch of things to receiev the airdrops even AFTER they have the necessary amount of Onion in their wallets. I have never been a big fan of the project and it has seemed a bit shady from time to time with the way it is set up.

They want you to buy $500 worth of their tokens AND do weekly bounty campaigns for their "airdrops" lol

251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin price on: February 08, 2018, 09:29:36 PM
If a coin has a small supply and its utility value is higher than it would be worth more than a coin that has more supply and less of a utility value.

Coin A - 21,000.000 Supply and used to reduce fees when trading on the platform/exchange
Coin B - 100,000,000,000 Supply and used to reward gamers for playing on the platform so they can buy digital goods

Coin A could go at ICO for $1
Coin B would probably be $.01
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptobridge Exchange good or SCAM? on: February 08, 2018, 09:26:44 PM
This is real scam - deposit working - recieve coins in  Exchange wallet in 5-10 min. but no chance to get withdrawal. All withdrawal go to unknown destination - no any data in blockchain. They just steal all withdrawals.

I just looked around the net to find some info real quick about this for you and came up with something useful.

Check this subreddit here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoBridge/comments/7uxiaj/review/

You will see that some users HAVE received their withdrawals, but others complaining they have not.

This thread seems to have legit members that have been swindled by Cryptobridge though. I would stay away until further clarification just to be sure.

255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GARLICOIN - Reddit's Garlic Bread Worshiping Currency on: February 08, 2018, 07:33:33 PM
Wow. Lost 75% over the last couple days due to the few scandals plaguing this project. Sad. While it seemed too good to be true when these coins were selling and trading for $2 within the community of reddit, I guess it was. Maybe you guys should try adopting a coin already established rather than try to be cool and do your own garlicky thing.....

Go for reddcoin or something. I always thought since the name was spot on and it was a social coin, redd would be the reddit community's first choice anyways.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: February 08, 2018, 10:21:24 AM
In a sea of scams, ref ljnks and shitcoin airdrops, here is a real one and without aNY referral link... and for one of the best coins to launch in a while...it's only for 3 BTW, but still...they will probably be worth $1k a pop someday.

Yeah the BTW wallet is very nice. It looks good with a great design and functions very smooth. I think BTW could easily hit $5 over the next few months.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] DARICO V2 | YOUR GATEWAY TO CRYPTOCURRENCY INVESTMENTS on: February 08, 2018, 05:35:33 AM
These guys are kind of scammy with their bounties. I was one of the first to do their 1st bounty and I received about $30 usd in Darico tokens for the entire thing. Many of us got screwed and complained to them in the telegram group. We got nothing but rude remarks and they obviously are shady since they reopened the bounty after screwing hundreds of us in the first round. Just a heads up and warning.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed? or almost? on: February 08, 2018, 05:32:18 AM
I was scammed when I first got into crypto and wanted to try a lending program. I saw an ad on a faucet site claiming to make me like 20% daily. It was called colobit, and I lost about $100 in btc. Now I'm careful and less naive.
