I read those before coming to this thread.
I am trying to warn you that I2P does not have high latency delays yet. It is planned for version 3.0.
And without those high-latency delays, the NSA can know who A is.
This is not yet an anonymous coin.
The I2P one-way paths and (on top of I2P) application protocol delays doesn't protect against the sophisticated timing analysis. The delays must be put into the I2P peers who are relaying the packets.
a truly anonymous coin isnt possible anyway due to the existing blockchain. EDIT: there are also small latencys before relaying the block wich are variable, *coind has to validate a block before it relays it to other nodes, now depending on the speed of pcs, this may differ (tough only in fraction of seconds aslong we dont have blocks with alot of txs). are you interested to hop onto freenode/i2p #anoncoin if you want to submit ideas or just discuss such things? we'r kinda spamming this thread. Well than I guess a Distributed "coinblender" Server system may be of some use to the payment system then??? thoughts???

YEAH THIS STUFF is becoming HARD to mine. I am not at ALL interested in selling for less than 0.7 BTC / 1k and all the buyers on coin-ex are OFF BY A FULL DECIMAL offering 0.04 BTC / 1k BUT CLOSE is Still Holding at 0.4 BTC / 1k. SO... HOLD OUT... Remember you are adding to network stability just by keeping your wallet open and getting a dividend to do it. Hold On if you can SELLERS THE DIFF IS RISING QUICKLY. - digeros

"Encrypt We Trust" is silly as its horrible gramar "In Encryption We Trust" More precisely, (Chaum's) "Mix-net We Trust" or "Obscurity We Trust" or "Cloaked In Trust". I bet you could do a nice graphic of a cape (Batman?) or veil for the "Cloaked". P.S. For the nerds (like me), "Singularly Obfuscated". P.S. For the nerds (like me), "Singularly Obfuscated". +1 I like naturally Cryptic!!! and Bitcoin already claimed "In Encryption we Trust", if you notice it is on the Casciususus (whatever) coins. Nobody uses bitcoin yet. It's hard to know why people will adopt its use.
Thats not true plenty of people use bitcoin everyday. Retail acceptance has been slow but that doesn't mean people aren't using it. Orly? What percentage of cc users have bitcoins? Probably closer to zero than one. Bitcoin is nothing yet. Get them cheap. Proof? I can make random general statements too ya know. The truth is you have no idea how many people are using bitcoin but I think you would be surprised its a lot bigger than you know. You win. I'm waiting for the bitcoin commercials during the superbowl. Whatever If you don't think anyone is transacting in BTC then just go to any block on the blockchain and lot at ANY block and you will see tons of transactions recorded within the block... so, get your facts start. 1) bitcoin is money Bitcoin is Money2) bitcoin is a commodity with a return on mining investment 3) bitcoin is a currency with Millions in Dollar value transacted EVERYDAY For an even better analysis of money and its functions and its problems check out "Rethinking Money" http://www.amazon.com/Rethinking-Money-Currencies-Scarcity-Prosperity/dp/1609942965/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376767315Here are some recent news programs about BITCOIN BITCOIN NEWS 8/17/2013 not sure where to put THIS but in a way it affects us all ... I have looked at a Bunch of other coin architectures (searching for something worth mining, etc) and I think that PHS is the BEST!!! - Stable rate of block creation, strengthening POS network, GREAT POS payment 50% seems to me to be a good annual interest on unmoved coins and the POS generation every 10 days is working GREAT.
This "Stable rate of block creation, etc." means absolutely nothing in terms of security. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263744.msg2831990#msg28319905-10 days age + diff 0.0001xxxx it's just a testnet, not a production. It's secured only by Palmdetroit's checkpointing node, without sync-checkpoints almost anyone able to fork such chain and perform double-spend attack. BTW, that's right for any "fast" NVC fork. And the most part of them even doesn't have working checkpointing nodes, just because the "developers" have no idea about the security model, which they tried to copy without performing any analysis before. That's how things really are, for the moment. If you care about the survival prospects, not just about "mine && sell" strategy. Thanks for the Clarification Balthazar and Yes I am in a LONG TERM investment in CryptoCurrencies of TRUE value and PHS is the best partner to Bitcoin for retention of value like a savings account (interest payments) etc etc.

For more info from link above So, from what i can understand it is the check-pointing that is the true security solution to forking and most basement dweller coin copy/paste creators are too lazy to do the architectural security features needed to move an Alt-Coin from a Toy to a Commodity to a Currency -digeros

Are you all solo mining?
I think that the days of Solo Mining PHS are just about over! with the diff this high, so anyone who wants PHS will have to either mine in a pool or buy the PHS. All the other POW/POS script coins usually create a coin with too few mining confirmations and too quick a block generation - which gives too much advantage to early adopters to acquire too great a percentage of the total coinage - which leads to volatility in the exchange markets. I think that PHS is the Savings Alt Coin for which we have all been waiting. - digeros PPS I am also trying to organize a BUTTONWOOD Crypto-Trading Group on Meetup.com in Elk Grove, CA (Near Sacramento,CA) PASS IT AROUND PLEASE --- so WE can all have a beer together and talk Crypto... http://www.meetup.com/Elk-Grove-ButtonWood-CryptoCurrency-Trading-Discussion/BITCOIN NEWS 8/17/2013 not sure where to put THIS but in a way it affects us all ... Version 1.1 is released. This version added more checkpoints so making the coin more secure. Please upgrade although it is not a mandatory upgrade, you are highly encouraged to upgrade, to make this coin safer.
Both download links and source code in github are updated.Diamond - DMD, the latest PoW/PoS coin which combines the best of all the alt coin! Diamond combines the best from Bitcoin/Litecoin/Novacoin/Luckycoin/Florincoin, it uses both Proof of Work and Proof of Stake. This provides a excellent resistence to 51% attack. It also combines the random block feature from Luckycoin, making it the first coin in Pow/PoS category to use random blocks. It also supports transaction comments like Florincoin, so when you send transactions to the cosmos, you and your receiver won't be lost! This coin has very low transaction fees. It provides steady coin supply at 1 diamond per block for 8 years. Diamond is one of the best of the alt coins exist today. The official website: http://diamondcoin.net Specifications: - Proof of work/Proof of stake - Scrypt - Each normal block has 1 diamond - 1 minute block time - 1500 diamonds per day including bonus blocks - Difficulty retargets every block - Mining will last for 8 years - Expected total coins will be 4,380,000 diamonds - 3 confirmations for transaction - 50 confirmations for minted blocks - Low transaction fees. - Every day on average there are randomly: - 10 bonus blocks with 2 diamonds each - 3 super blocks with 8 diamonds each - 1 super+ block with 30 diamonds - The default ports are 17771(Connect) and 17772(RPC). QUESTION::: WHAT IS THE POS PAYMENT RATE in annual interest??? - digeros

Updating pool with new client!
great I plan on slowing down releases from here on out, unless there is something unforeseen that needs a quick fix. I know downtime sucks I noticed that the difficulty being reported on roll-over of the blockchain checkmark is the POS difficulty but the console reports BOTH... can we get both on Roll-over? Or Perhaps just the more relevant for miners, just the POW diff. getdifficulty 18:51:06 { "proof-of-work" : 13.90077786, "proof-of-stake" : 0.00173358, "search-interval" : 1 } ALSO does anyone know how to plug cryptocurrency market data into a (perhaps) dos-based or windows-based market analysis program so we can get charts like the following for alt coins... http://www.bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#rg60ztgSzbgBza1gSMAzm1g10za2gSMAzm2g25zxzi1gAroonOsczi2gCCIzi3gAccDistzi4gMACDzvzcvzps]Updating pool with new client!

Excellent job getting all that back out so fast, truly is amazing to get that done all in one day. By the end of tomorrow, we will have put 5000*330 + 100*12000 Mh/s into people's hands. 1650000 + 1200000 = 2,850,000 Mh/s or 2.85 Th/s will be added to the network 2.85Th/s / 481.448 Th/s = but today it is barely 0.6% but i love it!!!! I will give you PHS to take the time to make a MEGA account and use that... RapidShare is just so slow and lame... DONE: you can get the BETA Version of 1.2 Philosopherstone-qt.exe in RAR format at the following link: https://mega.co.nz/#!2BcElLza!DvzqCDg0NXSNfRZQ5TIa6y_ssBAslUjk3fF4WO8em1k (the Bang that mega uses usually busts the link, so copy and paste into browser is best) digeros, post addy ill send some PHS your way... but I really wanted PalmDetroit to start using Mega. Also... to fix the Mega link issue... instead of leaving the whole URL in between the tags... change the opening tag to have it as url=THIS IS THE FULLADDRES inside the brackets and then type a name for the link to be displayed... like the below... I edited your link to go to the NEW Version 1.2beta3.rar for PhilosopherStone-QT on Mega. -digeros philosopherstone-qt12beta3.rar

... never used it but all my 10 port hubs with 10 sticks using a 12 volt 4 amp brick killed the bricks after 2 weeks of run time. I have a lot of spare 12 volt 5amp bricks and they worked great. Your gear is 12 volt 3 amp but the markings or ratings are not what count. for all I know my 12 volt 4amp bricks were less then your 12 volt 3amp brick. I have found this brick works well http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VE7GQQ/ref=oh_details_o05_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have 1 of these as does this one http://www.power-guide.com/pdf/SPU50.pdf meanwell spu50-3 I can't find these any more I have 8 or 9 from other projects these are very good if you can find them. these usb miners draw 5V x 0.5A each, so the total draw is 2.5VA. if the brick is really a 12V 3A then it can output 36VA, which is plenty of power for 10 usb miners (2.5VA x 10 = 25VA). that is assuming the brick is really rated at that.
the math you are doing is wrong. A 3amp 12 volt brick can do 3 x 12 or 36 watts output. (max in theory) ruining gear 24/7/365 you should not exceed 80% of the max rating so 80% of 36 watts is 28,8 watts. 10 sticks pull about 25 watts. So it looks good as 25 watts is less then 28.8 watts. But the brick is at 12 volts the sticks at 5 volts this means the 12vdc is ruduced to 5vdc... so 28.8 at 90 percent is 25.92 watts all these numbers show me that the brick would burn up in 24/7/365 use with 10 sticks in less then a month...... Of course the only way to know this is to test it since no one knows the real rating of the brick... in the meantime I found some very good replacement bricks they are relabeled meanwell spu50-3 bricks. I found them on ebay they give 12 volts at 5 amps and would run any 10 port brick endlessly. I ordered 6 bricks today. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161084703940?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 he will mail them to me in a few days . I will get back with a report on these bricks.
BRILLIANT IDEA!!! I have been having problems with underpowered USB hubs ever since I started with some USB ASIC Eruptors.... Instead of replacing / Trying another type of hub THIS is a GREAT first STEP... Just replace the POWER SUPPLY!!! BRILLIANT IDEA... Anyone having a prob with USB hubs should Definitely TRY THIS FIRST... great Idea... digeros PS this guys is charging $12 shipping BTW???
