ahh these are some old seats indeed, having already received distributions. They most likely have some more dust pending but with there being no mining done by OG - I dont think any seats earn anything unless its via sales of seats thru OG.

Really a well done coin. Even the box is amazing. I believe mintage of only 33. Pride of my collection.

33 is correct, and has been listed in the OP as such.

I wish I could afford to buy them myself but its about 3x more bitcoin then I have liquid atm lol

Worth 0.001BTC by my appraisal.

Coming from a guy who thinks his pictures add .002 to the items value lol

Eclipse takes the best pictures in the physical Bitcoin space. Hands down.

The prices are set by the seller. Buyers are free to walk away.
my point is why say something is not worth what it actually sold for that amount? yet at the same time, increase the sale price of what you sell simply because you take a "better" picture?

With my primitive understanding of this collectable notepad (less than an hour of research), I made the split second conclusion that someone wrote "BTCitcoin" on a notepad and held it up behind bozo treasury secretary Yellen at a hearing. Is this an important moment in bitcoin history, absolutely. Does this warrant a price at auction of 16BTC, I would argue no. There could be much more to the story that I am missing but I fiind the valuation to be too high to stomach for a crude drawing on a notepad.

Buyer may be hoping to sell this later for more bitcoin? Who would pay even more in bitcoin terms for this then this sale price to make a "profit". Maybe the buyer is purchasing this to preserve it or add it to a personal collection. I don't know.

true and I agree 16btc is up there but for it to get to that there had to be more than one willing to pay up to that point.

btw my comments were not really a stab at you directly - I just made reference to you because you were in the convo

it applies to everyone or anyone who sells things far above the face value of the bitcoin and the intrinsic value of the coin. anything over that and the person would be net more profits to simply buy Bitcoin and hodl it. Very rarely does anyone get more Bitcoin for an item than they paid - they might get more USD value but that just shows that USD loses value.
252  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] EBAY bitcoin/cryptocurrency finds!!! on: April 25, 2024, 07:52:12 PM

I never personally understood as to why redeemed cas go for so much. Redeemed brass cas go for more than silver 2013 bf lealana which is nonsense. Silver > brass 24/7/365, but I guess some collectors don't see it this way.

as a note all Lealana are buyer funded - every single one of them - whether the holo says it or not.

The Bitcoin ticker on top, which number should be showing? Maybe the all time high, or the actual number as I finish the piece?

   When you finish the piece.

Maybe the most fun is which part of our forum the monitor would show?

Collectable section where we are now

I was thinking of again using real gold to paint a couple of details, like the coin in Bitcollector's hand, what do you think?

Yes gold leaf paint would be the way to go just as you did with my painting!

And if the shirt can become a statement as well, and ideas?

Hmm….A bitcoin shirt would be good as well…the question is what type?

? wrong thread lol @krogoth

I will agree often his pics looks great - but sometimes they are blurry or the colors are distorted and I think he said that was intentional on those occurrences. But it can be misleading at times as well.

my point is why say something is not worth what it actually sold for that amount? yet at the same time, increase the sale price of what you sell simply because you take a "better" picture?

you hit on the head when you said prices are set by the seller - and buyers either agree or disagree with their wallets.

what one would not be wiling to pay, many others are.

@ScarceCity  it is my humble opinion that it is time to update your website.  ty

And drop the shitcoins: NFTs and ordinals.

Bitcoin only. We're trying to fix the money. Everything else is a distraction.

while I agree with you and dont care for the XCP NFT's and/or ordinals, many would argue that both are run on Bitcoin. No differently than LN is.
