241  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: CoinFest UK - April 8th to 11th 2021 - Manchester on: December 25, 2020, 08:59:18 PM
I was booked up from the first time round.

Do you think this will go ahead?

Only seeing bad news atm for the UK situation.

*fingers crossed*
242  Economy / Economics / Re: British have main problems on: December 25, 2020, 08:56:31 PM
We have a free trade deal with Europe.

We can also do deals with whoever we like now.

I don't see it as a bad place to be.

The world is a bit ruined from Covid.

A phoenix can rise from the flames!
243  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: December 25, 2020, 08:53:59 PM
Yes I got made redundant earlier in the year.

Now I  lost my health too.

I hate 2020

244  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can 2FA be Hacked? on: December 25, 2020, 07:16:01 PM
Nothing is un hackable.

Hacks come and go then the fix has to follow.

By adding more layers like 2fa you give yourself a better chance against an easier target. (with a simple password for example)

another benefit being the hacker has now to compromise 2 devices to "get you"

ofc if they have hacked your main email, they may be able to reset a few other things.

So make sure you use a secure password!

Security starts at home.

Merry Christmas you guys.

I wonder what the new year holds for esports?

I only came into it this year because of the lockdowns and needing something to do. Was quite successful for a while when I could afford it.

I have never yet known what the normal is.

Thanks for all the learnings and tips.

Gasp I have never seen a physical tourney, only online.  I feel such a baby.   Cheesy

246  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger "Data Breach" is very annoying and heart breaking! on: December 25, 2020, 05:14:11 PM
Shit happens, its turning into a bit of a hatchet job/witch hunt against ledger.

Its just some crappy worthless marketing database.

Means nothing. I can find rich people quicker with my eyes!

They send each other signals "I am wealthy"

I think this is overblown
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 25, 2020, 05:08:39 PM
Gabriel Jesus and Waker are now positive for Covid. I expect an increase of cases in Dec-January cause of holidays and meetings with families.

I sadly also expect this, I seen so many people ignoring the latest rules.

Still meeting for Christmas and stuff, even some of my own family.  Sad

Its a recipe for disaster.

Come on vaccine, an air gap is about our best chance.
248  Other / Off-topic / What was your weirdest present? on: December 25, 2020, 05:03:13 PM
I mean who doesn't need a massage for their Cervix?   lmao

Still a bit dazed and confused.

"at any time, anywhere, whatever" lol its like the marketing team gave up. W/E *hand*  LOL

Did you get anything weirder?
249  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 25, 2020, 11:14:49 AM

When you put it like that I realise I brought the dip.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 24, 2020, 11:47:54 PM
~Snipped

I do agree with you. Making bet selections just based on head to head statistics alone doesn't cut in the gambling world. As a matter of fact, I do consider them as a tool with a means to an end - that is to help us win. With those statistics, we can make informed decisions and escape some pitfalls when making our selections. I can't count the number of times that Arsenal has been the favorites to win games especially when playing at home. Even the bookies favorite are Arsenal in most of those games. but it always end up going sideways.

To be clear, there's no point following head to head stats blindly. It's just a tool to make informed decisions and helps us make better choices when picking markets.

I had a bad experience relying on head to head statistics for placing bets, because sometimes the results are far from what was expected.
For me, there must be other considerations for placing bets, maybe checking the latest news regarding the team that will play. Sometimes
internal problems that occur at Arsenal can be one of the causes of successive defeats experienced by Arsenal.

head to head results can be the last few years of course.

Recent form however is much more important.

What are they doing now? not 2 years ago they won 2-1
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 24, 2020, 11:20:23 PM
No statistics can be relied on this season. I bet on a few matches based on head to head stats and team performances. But the teams have disappointed me.

You seems to get the wrong idea about all those statistics, head to head results as well as recent performances. These dont help you to win but it does increase your chances to win. Notice the bolded word there? it does increase your chance slightly.

Some people tend to bet only on favourites without checking on all these statistics. Lets take Arsenal as an example, Arsenal lose several times despite being the favourites for the match. If people check on these statistics, probably most would avoid betting on Arsenal

He has had media training. Maybe he's fooling you all!

A very merry Christmas to all my Friends and family of the bitcoin talk forum.  Smiley

All the best to you all from both me and the Kenyan tax revenue authority.

They made you this tree. Cheesy

254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 24, 2020, 01:32:39 PM
of course

I use this wonderful site.

Its great for weighing up the odds and facts.

https://www.sofascore.com/tournament/football/england/premier-league/17

Surprised to see from Liverpool only two players are in top 20 and only one is in top 10. Salah with 13 goals obviously makes a good difference but how about Van Dijk, Alisson?

Is this top player of the week or month or a long year? Post the link, maybe we can find some other clue.

Keller would be top 10 but he didn't play in enough games yet
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 24, 2020, 11:09:22 AM
I found a more detailed version of the top player ratings.

Someone was asking how the ratings are formed.

Its not much clearer, see some weird numbers here and there. 1 dribble?   lol

256  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How will Trump leave the White House? on: December 24, 2020, 10:03:29 AM
How will Trump leave the White House?

With the China. Grin

Cool

I don't know if this is a joke or not.

But I see a double meaning here? it could be 50/50

Stealing the white house china?

With the help of/to China?

Smiley

So which did you mean?

Or stealing the china to China?   Cheesy

What if you didn't have insurance?

Will the universe come and arrest you?

258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 22, 2020, 04:23:35 PM
There are 273K customers on the list. That's not a partial database. You bought from them before the leak and you should be there. With whatever data you provided to them. The "persona" I provided to them is in fact there.

[...]

272,853 customers to be exact. I have the file open in front of me now, and, no, I'm not in the list (fortunately)!

It's a kind of weird feeling to see in front of me so many emails, full names, addresses, phone numbers... Several of them in my own neighbourhood. The list is so large, that anyone anywhere could possibly find a Ledger owner close by...

This should make us all aware of the implications of submitting our personal details to different sites on the net. We should not take this lightly.

Did I miss something? Where can I see the list?  Shocked

I don't want to post a link to leaked data... Just Google it. Very easy to find. <--- That's the scary part!

Found it. It's actually scary for peeps from smaller countries/communities.  Sad

Well yeah and those invasive countries where you might have just gone above the radar.

That sucks but the bang in the night wont be crims.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 22, 2020, 04:21:15 PM

Now it feels like

Make good sex :-)

Hehe that's Dutch-English for makeup sex (goedmaak sex) Smiley

Didn't even get the breakup sex. I feel robbed.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 22, 2020, 09:34:21 AM
Im not stupid enough to type my details into any internet "have I been hacked" search engine.

But had no spam so far.

No need. You can download the leaked files and search yourself using a text editor. That's what I did.

yeah but its not much different from a list of people who brought expensive hot tubs.

Sure some may be rich, some might just like hot tubs.

There are much easier ways for crooks to find rich people.

The paranoia level here is like a feedback loop.
