Thanks I'm back in today. Finished my training course and passed yesterday.

I have backed the CSGO and some of the Dota, I don't feel too brave.

Good luck.

Start by sniffing some ports, then go from there
1126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 29, 2020, 06:18:41 PM
Great, we can move to port forward and backdoor exploits now:

Added this photo to my sexy moment preamble folder. thanks.

Lets start with explaining what a port is.
I always thought that a port is those things that you plug your USB cable into, but I get the sense that I might be wrong.

Arrie, since i owe you a computer lesson, here we go:

There are two types of "ports" for input/output: hardware ports (like usb, serial, network...) and ports of software, like a webserver.
So to get data in and out over a network, you need at least one port on each of the two computers. With streaming services, you can even broadcast one-to-many through a single port on the streaming server.
There are 65535 ports, some of them are standard, or reserved, like http (web, port 80) and https (web secure, port 443). Instead of "program" you refer to a communicating software like web servers as a "service".

Remotely identifying which services (software) are running on a remote computer is one of the first steps in preparing an attack. It's like this:
1. identify services
2. identify unsecured services
3. find vulnerabilities of these services (bugs)
4. exploit these bugs and get access.

To identify a service, you just connect to the certain port with a tool like "netcat".
If there is a response, some bytes or a service header like "...apache http server...", you know that there is this specific software running on the machine, so you can take more steps to find out the version of apache server and look up exploitable vulnerabilities, or even try to find your own, undiscovered bugs to attack the service and possibly gain system wide administrative access.

A port scan is just automating this process and scan all 65k ports to identify the "open" ones, put out a list of all open port numbers and header messages. These headers often show the software/service name and version.

Hope i'm free of debt now, finally and no one else gave you this lesson before  Grin

Think of the ports like a straw connecting the in and out port on 2 devices and the data runs along that way.

Also only the ports you have allowed on your firewall will allow the "straw" to poke through and reach your computer.

I am new to esports so... What the fuck is battlepass, why is it so big deal and does it in any way affect future DOTA 2 bets?

I was forced to get into esports betting due to corona stooping all my other betting options. In this last 2 months CS:GO and DOTA 2 really got my interest. So much so that I was watching Dreamhack the other day instead of Bundesliga. I will definitely continue to watch/bet on esports even when all the leagues continue as normal. I was thinking I am getting a good grasp of things and then something like this happens and shows me the holes in my esports knowledge.

Does this pass thing make a difference to the matches?

Relax guys, Battle Pass doesn't have any impact on the gameplay of Dota 2. This is just like a big promo for Dota 2 players where they can get so many interesting skins/items, exclusive items, rewards, special minigame, etc.

Battle Pass has a level system where the higher level you have you will get more rewards. Just like that and all of those items won't benefit the users to win the game.

So it has nothing to do with bettors  Wink.

Thanks for the response now I understand. Like the rocket pass in Rocket League

I am dreaming of all the ways I can actually parlay with like 5 to 10 games and have huge odds as well, the biggest I did was 27 game parlay before the pandemic and I got 24 right

Wow that's going some I got a 13 out of 14 FS so close.

Had several 5 out of 5's that's already good odds.

Bet 365 ad a bit for each time you add another game.

I will be like you and find some different ways to place some good big parlays. Let you know if I win.

Good luck.
1132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker talk - Specifically Hold'em - Hands and or strategy on: May 29, 2020, 11:11:50 AM
First game when I came last I was trying to see the table cards each time. Like that.

Second game 11th I was more hard on myself and folded the crap.

In the end I could have been even harder later and stayed in longer. But I felt you have to go for it sometime or you get left behind in stacks.

When your all in is 2k but someone has 12k they don't even care it they have to match you, they can hardly feel it. But if you lose you are dead.

1135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So it looks like Cobra is planning on passing on the Bitcoin.org domain on: May 28, 2020, 09:11:46 PM
Bitcoin is highly decentralized   BSV, BCH, BTC, BTG, LTC, ...  freedom of choice - how you map ONE to the bitcoin.org ?

oh - check the only legit White-Paper and lookup & compare the implementations

Okay.

The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power.

BCH|BSV|BTC
|
|

BCH and BSV = Emergency Difficulty Adjustment, or life-support to avoid having been stillborn with an insufficient hashrate to even survive, let alone propagate.

Didn't even make it past the 'Abstract' on the first page.  Perhaps your preferred chain is not as well represented by the whitepaper as you like to imagine.

Lol

What is your purpose here? you aren't listening to anyone who responds to you

You are convinced BTC is not BTC but something else is, you offer feeble arguments that avoid the main points.

Dancing around the main facts and coming up with at best the argument something else is more like the initial white paper. Despite the fact bitcoin had moved on significantly from that before Satoshi was taken from us.

Assuming there is no point in arguing with you? or you with the people here? what is the point?

What is you main intention? Magically change all our opinions? Or troll.

So, we finally have some relevant info! The Premiership is resuming on June 17th with City-Arsenal and Villa - Sheffield.

That's all according to BBC, full article can be found here.

So, Liverpool lifting the trophy on June 18th? Grin

I also got this from a friend who's really into Premiership:

Quote
Proposed Premier League televised schedule on return...

Saturday - 12 noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm.
Sunday - 12 noon, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm.
Tuesday - 6pm, 8pm
Wednesday - 6pm, 8pm

Ooof, imagine if true. A whole week of constant fooball.

Sorry wife I am busy. *Locks door*

Lets firm up that CL spot (assuming any chance to play on international level is coming)

So bored with no football or anything.

1139  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: May 28, 2020, 09:37:56 AM
The house of cards is falling hard!

Next card to fall is the BSV dump I really hope everyone who has been trading this shitcoin takes there funds out the markets before they decided it's time to dump.

I would love to see the price go to 0 but because there is no money on the buy side not by them dumping and taking traders money in the process.

 Wink

I expect they don't want to dump it yet if they are hiding the money there.

1140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 27, 2020, 08:30:29 PM
It is still sad that 2 people have infection but that shouldn't really stop the league at all.

It is truely just 2 people to be honest, but it could be their best players and it would be difficult for the clubs to cope with it.
It is commendable though doing those tests and announcing, and with group training starting out this week (it was voted today); we can look forward to the EPL commencing very soon.

It doesn't matter if its their best players.

If their best player gets an injury, hamstring or something? does that mean they can drop out of the league and not be relegated?  no

Why would this be different? a team is the squad not the individuals.
