241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what do you think about pump and dump? on: September 21, 2017, 11:37:21 AM
what do you think about pump and dump?  did you ever trade on pump and dump event? can you give few tips for how to make money from this events? what i need to look for?
One piece of advise! If you do not want to give your self an excruciating heart pain, never partake in any pump and dump. Now, I am telling you this from experience. If you buy at a higher price, it gets dump very fast and it may take you days before getting that back that is if it isnt even a shitcoin no one cares about. Most guys behind the pump and dumps, calling the shots are there to make gains for themselves after buying at dips and leave you packing your own vomits when you are done.
242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading altcoin and holding bitcoin which one is more profitable? on: September 21, 2017, 08:45:41 AM
I have come to realize in recent time that holding bitcoin in ones wallet is more profitable and a little bit risk free as compared to trading altcoin or what do you think ?
I guess you have practically answered your own question. Holding of course is risk free and for long term profit without bothering about the news and drops, it is best. Most esoecially if you do not have an idea how to trade. However, for both short and long term, daily trading is more profitable as this gives you the chance to multiply your coin but comes with more risk of loosing them too if you are not careful. Trading altcoins though can be extremely more risky.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why trading is better than gambling? on: September 21, 2017, 06:01:52 AM
I find gambling better because you have not to learn and think and just can have some fun, while successful trading requires to learn and study a lot of things.

Nevertheless, if you prefer trading I suggest to take a look at the Trading Discussion section here on bitcointalk.
Gambling and trading a different ends of the spectrum ,if you are wise enough you could make a good amount of money from the crypto currency trading platform ,gambling just depends upon you sheer luck and you might not win all the time, but when it comes to trading if you are having the right patience and luck you could earn a big profit.

Trading don't really rely on your luck and patience, Gambling might be the one which is being reliant to luck and patience but not trading. Trading is close to investing or maybe the same as trading because they need yes, patience and luck but more on your skill, experience and knowledge. When you have the combination of those three, I think you will be doing great.
Yes, trading doesn’t rely on luck and patience totally as they do matter. Luck doesn’t matter so much we can say about, but patience matters. Trading is also a game of fun, risk and mind. So we have to play it very patiently so we would what we want. Trading is better in every regard over gambling.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: September 20, 2017, 05:32:43 PM
Have you ever wondered how would the world's economy be like in the future as a cashless society?

Perhaps, with the increased traction of blockchain acceptance nowadays, could lead to the creation of digital fiat currencies powered by blockchains that are managed by governments themselves. With this in mind, there would be no need for physical cash, as digital fiat currencies would provide many advantages such as quick settlement, global payments, full transparency, implants use on citizens to make payments, and more.

If this becomes a reality, which I'm sure that it will, it would radically transform our lives for the better and reduce criminal activity as a result of the full transparency and auditability that a digital fiat currency would have thanks to the power of the blockchain technology.

Also, it makes me wonder if cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin would exist by that time, or will they co-exist with digital fiat currencies.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this.  Wink
If this thing may happen in the future , its the most efficient and greatest achievement of mankind that comes so far in the field of trading, investing and transferring currency.  This will enable us to work effortless and timeless doing transactions.
Yes. It would be the remarkable achievements of the mankind and obviously things will be done more efficiently without any errors. But we should also keep in mind the other side of picture, going totally digital is going to raise some new problems for example, we won’t be able to afford power loss then even for a while etc.
245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I invest (safely) in Bitcoin for the long term? on: September 20, 2017, 04:02:06 PM
You can only do so much and you're still not going to have 100% assurance of having a safe investment. Though of course your chances will considerably be better than those blindly investing on random icos without doing proper preparation but still, bottom line is there still are risks
You can invest safely in bitcoins for long term buy making correct use of your analytical skills and market intellect. People usually feel insecure because bitcoin doesn’t exist physically and who will be responsible for their investments at the time of crisis, I think they will surely get answers to these when bitcoin will be legalized in the world.
246  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When sell ETH for BTC? on: September 20, 2017, 03:05:27 PM
Hi all,

1 month before segwit I sold my BTC for ethereums and was sure that it will grows as fast as btc. It was not smart decision I know.

But now I see that it is ±300$ all the time when bitcoin is close to 4300$... I regret that didn't sold my eth for btc once segwit happened...

But I hope that 4300$ is not maximum of bitcoin price in this year so I am planning to sell my ethereums. But I don't know when to do that. I feel bitcoin correction in near time so maybe it is better to wait a bit? But I am not sure about eth price in near time.

What to do?  Embarrassed

Thanks a lot community!
I think next 5 years is the best time to sell our eth and btc. I know that time the price is really high.
And what will happen in the next 5 years after that 5 years you just mentioned ? You think it would stay the same ? What I always do anyway is to put my bitcoin to work and pay my self at the end of every month a certain % of it and add the remaining to the initial ones to start working again. With this I am saving for the future and at thesame time paying bills.
247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to predict up and down the bitcoin price before we trade on: September 20, 2017, 01:58:45 PM
With the "Advanced Chart" feature available in VIP.Bitcoin.co.id can help you, especially traders, to maximize the accuracy of your Cryptocurrency price prediction.
Advance Chart has a more detailed look with various trading tools.
How do you predict the bitcoin price?  Cheesy
Unless you want to follow news and speculations, or you are just doing safe trade strategy by buying at any point below support, and selling at a reasonable point based on previous chart reading, you cannot state specifically exactly the point to sell most especially. In one word, you cannot give an accurate prediction but just try as much as possible to play safe.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning enough with Bitcoin without Job ? on: September 19, 2017, 03:38:21 PM
i don't think that bitcoins are enough for a living. like for instances, we have experienced big dips without being prepared. in bitcoin we are not sure if it will give us stable earnings. yes prices increases, but rates are getting lower. its getting crowded and crowded everyday. signature campaigns are always full. campaigns may end  in just a week or two. tradings are risky, offering services are rarely accepted if not yet trusted. what can you do about it.
with a stable job, you have a sure contract for years, stable payments, you will just go to work like everyday routine.
Not actually true. If you have a good knowledge about bitcoins, you can surely have a good profit in bitcoins. Even you can make bitcoins as a full time job and your living can be made more luxirious with bitcoins.

But the main thing is to find a suitable services for making huge profit. If you are wsting your day in collecting free satoshi from thousabds of faucets then surely you will waste your day with nothing in your hand. Also if you are here for signature campaign then you need to be instanious and should be updated to the services section.
249  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: September 17, 2017, 05:41:35 PM
With no edge it is double edge sword. You will gonna to damage your self..
I guess for getting profit from trading is not required to know the insider if you want to earn profit. You have to look and watch the market and graphics movements on the altcoin you're going to trade, and you better start with altcoins that have active movement. If you are ready with the risks you can start with high confidence.
But I think trading is not just limited to educated guessing. It is something beyond it. It needs you to be practical, you need to have a good knowledge of what’s going on in the market. You need to make smart decisions based on your learning and skill set. You need to have a lot of personality traits especially patience and hard work.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If China Bans Bitcoin Exchanges, will they also ban Bitcoin mining? on: September 17, 2017, 02:45:42 PM
Back in February 2017, a Chinese bitcoin mining company opened a branch in Sweden:

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/chinese-bitcoin-mining-firm-canaan-to-open-10-mw-facility-at-node-pole-sweden/

Quote
China-based Canaan Creative, a bitcoin mining firm commonly known by Avalon, its bitcoin mining chip brand, will open a data center powered by hydroelectric power at the ‘Node Pole’. Owned by power companies, the technology infrastructure hub is situated in the Boden region near the Arctic Circle n in Sweden.

Canaan, which manufacturers ASIC microprocessors, claims to be the first Chinese bitcoin company to open a data center in Europe. The facility will operate at 10 MW at its initial stage, leaving room for expansion in the future.

So they at least are preparing for the possibility that China will ban bitcoin mining and are setting up operations abroad.
If it is true then nothing can be better for the future of bitcoins. China cannot be trusted anymore definitely. They keep on making bad announcements about bitcoins which affect the newbies very hard. People have sold out bitcoins in last few days. However, if I am not wrong, China banned bitcoin trading in December 2013 also.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: September 17, 2017, 01:11:13 PM
In a wallet i like to use blockchain because last year my friends bitcoin got hacked and that is when he realized he needed a better wallet and that is when he chose blockchain and told me about

it and i use it too and there has never been any problem at all.
I think this is something which depends on you entirely. I think you should keep your Bitcoin in that way in which you think you are comfortable and feel secure. If you want to hold your Bitcoins, then it is preferable to put them in your wallet. On the other hand you can simply place them in your account if you want to do trading.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: September 17, 2017, 09:09:44 AM
Gamblers will bet their money to get fun so not all gamblers will maintain discipline while playing gambling. What we can afford that money if we spend it in gambling then it is not wrong people call this is an entertainment part in their life. But who will make gambling is a business and play only for money then it is wrong. Finally it is up to you. I can take this as fun so for me gambling is not wrong.

If we play for fun then I dont need to maintain any discipline at all. All I need is to deposit a small amount so that I wont really lose alot of money even if I lose. Some people choose not to have fun but to get profit that is why it is wrong to spend alot of money to gamble. If we can afford it then it is cool but to lose alot of money is just not worth it
Discipline is a vague term, honestly. Everyone has his own definition. For instance, betting with a limited amount means you have some limitations and having limitations in actions is discipline for me but you may have a different opinion and that is fine with me. However, it is good to be a pleasure seeker instead of a profit seeker in the world of gambling.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: September 17, 2017, 06:08:11 AM
of course can give me lessons in my life by making me more patient and using some skills with different stratigies.

The only lesson that I get is when I lose everything. That is the only lesson that I get for being greedy. That teach me alot of thing as well , It teach me not to spend something that might be important in the future. I got around 3 btc when the price was around $300 or so then I lose everything. Few weeks after that, I need to use it for something else which is really important on that time
That is actually a very bad way to learn anything, by losing all what you own. Still, it is far better than burrowing more money for further gambling. Greed is injurious to wealth. We must not follow our temptations and try to make money by working and reliable ways.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: September 17, 2017, 05:01:21 AM
Yes i did bro, sometime i spend all my time for gambling even quit school or work. That was the most terrible time in my time. Deep down inside gambling make me confused about life goal, about friends and family. Now i'm done. No more gambling, only working hard.

That is terrible I don't want to spend all my time in gambling if I have something important thing to do. And you did learned a lesson from your misery experience in gambling, so far I never have this type of experience that I prioritized gambling more than my career or my studies in school since my parents wanted me to study hard in college.
That is smart if you don't want to waste all of your time in gambling as you can do a lot of productive activities instead. Time is money and one must be careful about utilizing it. Your parents are guiding you on the right path and it is glad to see that you are an obedient one. Soon you will become a successful person.
255  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Other Bitcoin forum on: September 14, 2017, 03:15:46 PM
Is there any another forum about bitcoin that has also the same as our bitcointalk.org that let us earned by signature campaign and other staff about using bitcoin, i want to research some of it and try to earn more or find more article or comments..

I need legitimate proof of transaction just comment it below.

Thanks and have a nice day fellow!

only bitcointalk can get competitive revenue sharing use signature campaign
another forum only giveaway with low budget, same with cryptocointalk or bitcoingarden
I was even introduced to bitcointalk, cause I never knew there was anything like it.
Since then I’ve never had interest in checking if there are other forums. There isn’t  any need to check cause I’m not much similar opportunities. But it’s always good to see people with same mindset coming together to join force.
The last time I checked on Google, I saw one forum, but it’s not really like a forum…it was kinda confusing how they run it, it literally just looks like a news site (but worst to be compared to news site lol) I also came across another one too, but it’s not very active like Bitcointalk. Bitcointalk is like the king forum for everything crypto currency, because everything is discussed here.
256  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Online Shop that accepts BTC on: September 14, 2017, 02:47:03 PM
use gifty and sell gift cars for any site then use it to buy cellphone
Peripherals for your phone? Eehm…I have came across sites where cars are sold for Bitcoins, not only cars, including home appliances and furnitures, but for phone and accessories ?
I don’t think so. Someone recommended buying Amazon Gift Cards from purse.io and using it to purchase what you need from Amazon, and I think that’s the best thing to do.
257  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: September 14, 2017, 12:00:11 PM
For now I still focus on both jobs because the income from bitcoin has not been stable, but if it really can really generate big revenue maybe I will choose bitcoin to be my main job.
You are right that bitcoin is not guaranteed but keep one thing in your mind that if you work for yourself you will be more happy and I suggest you to give this time to bitcoin because it is in full force this day, and when you realize that is time to withdraw all your money from bitcoin, then you can do your job. But I think that if you invest in bitcoin it will give such a huge amount of profit that you will never need a job. You can start your own business.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hotels accepting bitcoin on: September 14, 2017, 10:56:58 AM
That is a good idea that hotels will accept bitcoin in the near future. But i think and i don't hear anything in my country that hotels accepting bitcoin.
It will be very easy for the people who want totally to deal only in bitcoin and other crypto currency. Because if the hotels started accepting bitcoin, then following them many other companies and organization of public dealing will also start accepting bitcoin as a regular currency. It is a good steptowards the future as bitcoin is the new crypto digital currency of the new era.
259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: September 14, 2017, 10:21:30 AM
When do you decide to sell?

Is it a sat, a % of profit, or even a randomly thought up number in your head?

I am new to trading Crypto, but when I traded other stocks, I would aim for a certain percentage.
This seems much easier to hit that percentage, but much more risky.

How do you determine when to let it go?

You can also use percentage here in crypto trading. Depending on your strategy, basis, and the particular coin you are investing on. There are coins whose price target is around 50%, so by the time it reaches 54% and then starts to go down, then perhaps that is enough to sell already. There are also coins that are good for holding some 2 months time so whether the line goes up or down in several percentages, there are no decisions made.
I think the decision of when to sell your Bitcoins lies in the hands of the one who owns those Bitcoins. This is him who has to decide as per his own way of understanding and strategy. I believe whenever you think this is the right time to sell, go for it. You need to make a graph first of how much profit you want to earn.
260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Secrets? on: September 14, 2017, 08:30:25 AM
Some use chart analysis but I prefer to focus on the long term potential of the currency, especially the underlying technology and the community support.
I think both are equally important if you talk about trading secrets. I believe there is some other thing which is far more important and that is your personal interest and motivation towards trading. You can do anything if you are doing it with your heart. Without your own willingness, you can hardly get any benefit.
