241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saving for a House! on: November 14, 2019, 01:16:52 PM
We are saving for a house down payment of 40K.  I don't want to leave it in the bank as there is a old judgement they can take any time so i want to store it in crypto as we grow it over the next 6 months.  Is a stable coin the best option?  Thoughts?
Since you have a time frame for it that you need, honestly, stable coin would be the best option, so that you don’t have to deal with volatility because if you store it in other coins, you could have a drop on the money before then. Stable coin would not allow you to have a drop in the amount that you keep in there, but you should know that with stable coin, you can't get any addition to your coin, because the value of stable coin does not decrease nor increase.

If you want to have an increase on the coin, then I will advise you should invest in bitcoin, just that you will not tie any time to it, so you should just put it in there for the sake of removing it anytime that bitcoin shoots up in price, which could be today, tomorrow within that 6 months and it could even be higher than the 6 months.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Been Profitable for More Than 94% of its Existence on: November 13, 2019, 06:56:27 PM
Just don’t remind me of the past again, because this is the lifetime opportunity that I have missed and don’t think that I can get back again, no matter what anyone tells me, if I had invested in bitcoin too during that time, I would have become financially free forever because the cost of buying bitcoin then can really not be compared to the cost of buying it now, what you will use to buy 2 bitcoin now, is what you would have used to buy thousands of bitcoin then, but anyway, the past is gone already and I think we should just focus on the future opportunity already, it is also because of this regrets that many people think altcoin could give them the same result until they are being affected by scammers that has taken over the market and promising to give them what bitcoin would have given them in 2010.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US Airforce is using blockchain on: November 13, 2019, 04:33:03 AM
This is a welcomed development.  I believe several other institutions will adopt it in the future when they are able to really understand the beauty that lies in using this technology
A lot of companies and organizations are beginning to put more effort in their blockchain technology right now as they see that this is the new age we are in and how the use of blockchain technology has facilitated the growth of majority of people that has applied it, so it is indeed a welcome development that these type of strong organizations are beginning to also adopt it, bit what I would like to see the most is the adoption of one single currency.

It will be the best thing that will happen if they can all embrace the use of bitcoin as one major currency of the world, because as you see them getting involved in blockchain technology now, the only thing that I have been seeing everywhere here and there is many of them trying to create their own currency too.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Extra weeks added to bounty campaign on: November 12, 2019, 06:09:26 PM
To all bounty hunters on this wonderful forum i want to know if its advisable to continue with the bounty you have been promoting for 12weeks that got extra 8weeks added more, have you promote projects this long that ends up with good end results? Thank you
Honesty, if we dint want to be greedy also, whatever you have worked for in that 12 weeks is enough for you and that 8 weeks will really not make much difference if you dint participate. The bounty project are ones that we cannot predict, so we cannot really say if the project is worth it or not, but in other words, the only way you can safeguard your time is when you don’t participate the second time.

The extra 8 weeks you would use for a project you are not sure of should be channeled to another project since these projects are all about gambling when it comes to choice of project, you actually would not be able to tell which one would end up in scam or not, so better you stop at the 12 weeks, it will not stop you from getting the rewards you have been entitled to.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never possible earn free bitcoin without work. on: November 12, 2019, 12:03:43 PM
There is nothing like free Bitcoin man, nothing is free here. I know that some people that talk about free Bitcoin are referring to faucets, but they misunderstood it. Even with faucets, you're still going to do some work; you're going to burn your data and also go through annoying ads (which have gotten worse these days) and also stress your hands and eyes. So, it's nothing free, and no other method is free. If it's free, we all should have gotten rich by now.

This same free money is what confuse some newbies here, they come into the crypto community hoping that manna will fall from heaven, but it doesn't work that way. You must work for it, you're either going to be a freelancer offering services and getting paid in bitcoin, or a trader and investor, your choice. No food for a lazy person.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Forecast on: November 11, 2019, 07:18:13 PM
If this turns in back under $9,000 I wouldn't be surprise but it's going to be the signal to start buying again IMO.

Bitcoin is trading around $8,800 at the moment and I think you're right about buying it below $9,000 because there is a high possibility that it will bounce back to $10,000 or more in just a few days so I think its a good call to buy now if your goal is short-term and I'm very positive that this sudden dip is good opportunity.
Every time that there is a retrace, I think that there is a plan for bitcoin to actually pump in value which I believe that the bulls are really preparing for, but since the dump was just little, it would be best we still wait to see if the value will drop further, because sometimes the moment that the market shows a sign of retrace, it is usually a deep one, like up to $1000 retrace value sometimes, which would also be a very good time to buy if the market dips more than this, the higher the dip, the more that profit that the investors or trader would made.

I still have this very strong feeling and conviction that the value of bitcoin will cross to $15000 at the end of this year, and that is going to be my main focal target for the year, probably with this, I would be able to get some money that I will spend for the new year to come.
247  Economy / Speculation / Re: 6 Months of Missed Opportunities in Bitcoin!!! on: November 11, 2019, 06:45:13 PM
It's easy to chart past performance and say there were missed opportunities.  When market is bad you could've shorted it and when it's going good you should've longed it.  Since markets have been alive this holds true.  I dont know what you are getting at really...
You know that when it gets to decision to be an holder, it is certain that we will be missing lots of opportunities and I think what is trying to get at is that during the past six month, the value of bitcoin has fluctuated several times, and there has been several dips and several pump, which you can now imagine how much a trader would have made if they had really traded during that time.

I think that within that six month, bitcoin has gone low and high between $7000 and $9000 several times, which means if one had trade on each, there should have been profit of $2000, every time that there's a trade, so anyone that did not take advantage of it that time like the op must have missed the opportunity which i think cannot be taken back again, except we start watching from now.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more dump before halving? on: November 11, 2019, 05:09:43 PM
[The current market all the investors are concentrate the Bitcoin, so it will not going to backward soon. But everyone know the Bitcoin volatility so current trend it will raise further days so no one think again it will back to 7k USD. Nowadays price correction is never affect the investors, but huge dump will happen peoples are afraid. I hope Bitcoin will grow continuously in future days.
I don’t think that investor even panic again when they see price dump because it has become part and parcel of them right now as they  are already used to it, and the reason why it does not bother them again unlike other altcoins is because they have built certain trust in bitcoin to a level and that level is what is making them to keep believing in the future of bitcoin.

All these bitcoin investors that are already grounded in the system already have their plans to make the withdrawal of bitcoin in future and not now, so even if price dumps, they know that it is normal and would rise again once there is a recovery. Like me, when I see dump, rather than panic, I quickly take advantage of it to buy some coin, and then trade it for a higher price later.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Ultimate List of Exit Scams & How to Spot One on: November 10, 2019, 07:32:32 AM
Exit scams have affected many people in the cryptocurrency world. In this article, we've gathered a comprehensive list of exit scams, and some tips on how to avoid becoming a victim. ❌ https://selfkey.org/the-ultimate-list-of-exit-scams-how-to-spot-one/

Did you experience being scammed in one of these?
What does it matter if I have become a victim of scam in any of those sites or not, it still should not change the fact that I have been scammed and it still would not return my money back, so why would I continue to discuss on projects that has been purely scam to me. Getting scam is virtually my mistake and what I need to become expert on now is how to exactly identify that a project would be a scam before I even put my money into it and not after they must have already scammed me first.

Many investors are so confused about project selection because virtually most methods that has been advised for us to use has been exhausted already, and none of them seems to have a perfect solution, although the ones like researching on projects and the rest way advised has been of help to some extent, but has never been a satisfactory method which they still eventually fail.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking system and BTC on: November 08, 2019, 07:31:04 PM
Central banks are now the dominant structure that nations use to manage their economies. They have monopoly power and will not give up that power. While the adoption rates for Bitcoin and other digital currencies are small and the government's support for them is virtually nonexistent. So it is impossible for BTC to kill banks, which in my opinion is most likely one day that central banks will issue cryptocurrencies.
You cannot completely take that out, central bank might one day give up to that after they have been pushed to wall, because cryptocurrency is what they cannot cancel, and since they cannot cancel it, it will gradually spread and go beyond their control, you might see the adoption as little now which is nothing compared to what the adoption rate of bitcoin would be in the future.

If you doubt this, why do you think that Zimbabwe came out with their own cryptocurrency, because when you look at central bank, you are already looking at government, and for them to have released their Petro coin, they must have all discussed about it, look at china also coming up with their own DCEP coin too, china who happens to be the largest country, so talking of central bank not supporting cryptocurrency in future is what I doubt.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: list top 10 exchange in the market on: November 08, 2019, 09:20:19 AM
I think to determine the top exchange it needs several criteria not only limited to a large volume because it can be manipulated. What's important is user satisfaction when using their services.
According to me personally is:
1. Coinbase
2. Binance
3. Kucoin
4. Bittrex
5. Indodax (my country exchange)
6. HitBTC
7. Idex
8. UpBit
9. Huobi
10. Yobit
Everyone has their own views because they come from satisfaction. So don't force your choice on others.
When I am to consider an exchange, I first look at the team of the exchange and their success story, I look at what they have achieved in the past and the business they have been doing, even if they have not been doing business, there is supposed to be something that will show the quality of a good leader and a very great team in them.

Volume also matters to me, but not all these fake volumes, which I try as much as possible not to get deceived by some of these new projects that usually do increase their volume to make it seems like they have been in the business for a long time. It is only some of these big exchanges that you have mentioned that I know would not fake volume because they have already expanded past this stage.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to search for a token name on: November 07, 2019, 05:03:22 PM
We are creating a new token and want to see if our name we are thinking of using has been used before or is in use.  How do we check this?
There are several methods and I think one of the methods that might work well is for you to search through coinmarketcap, because they have majority of the coins that has even been created, and if they dint have, look for the most popular good exchange and also the most popular shit exchange, search from there to see if you will get your name, if you follow these methods and you don’t find your name, then congratulations to you.

The last method which I think that will also work is when you type the name on Google, you should get history of all the people that has used this name if there is any, then you can check if it is even cryptocurrency related project or not, but wait, you really need to be smarter than this if you want your project to grow, because I dint expect you to be asking this simple question anyway.
253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coins in Jan 2019 vs Nov 2019 on: November 07, 2019, 04:26:18 PM
Wow, who say that the cryptocurrency market is not growing then if all these coins listed have experienced this tremendous growth, most especially bitcoin, I think that this growth is really a very encouraging one especially in this bear market time when all altcoins are failing, and if in this bear market, altcoins are failing while these ones are growing, I think that they will be among the list of the coins that we should expect to grow extremely high in the next bull run for altcoins.

This is also another clue to those who are looking for the projects to invest in ahead of the next altcoin season, it is very clear that these coins will really make that list. The coin that is still very much painful to me is bnb, I dint get to know about its potential very well until it had an extreme growth already.
254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 3 things should not be too in trading on: November 07, 2019, 03:49:56 PM
going through lending platforms should be considered only if you're at least knowledgable or experienced already in trading. I don't recommend borrowing if you're still trying to get a feel of the market. Stick to trading with small amounts you can spare since that would be the time where you'd mostly encounter consistent losses but helpful experiences.
Borrowing is never to be encouraged except maybe the trader is extremely sure that he is a professional trader because when you borrow to trade in a market that has lots of volatility and uncertainties, once could lose all the money and there is also probability of having lost of profit, but the risk in borrowing is too much to take, so I believe your advice is still the best to be taken by those people.

It is better we save little money and then start to use it to trade until it becomes a parcel of us and we have mastered everything to give little chance to failure, if we start with little and we are diligent with our trade, I believe that we will be able to gradually build the value up gradually till it becomes high.
255  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: November 06, 2019, 10:14:46 AM
I just tried to send my signature campaign rewards to my yobit balance but nothing is happening.
Preciously, that "send to my BTC balance" button is not working from my end.

Anyone else is facing similar problem?

I wish this campaign should last for some longer duration by contributing to this crypto community in more productive way. But, not sure what is happening.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Debt, Buy Bitcoin on: November 06, 2019, 04:52:12 AM
The US government either can print more money to pay off their debt or default which in either case produce more problems in the long run. I agree that with cryptocurrency, most citizens would be able to avoid poverty. But I think what people really need is a stable coin for those who doesn't want to invest in a high volatility coin like Bitcoin. Like for example, euro, yen, or even gold.
Do you know that the United states does not even know how to play their game very well because if I was in the position of government, in other to pay my debt easily, I would just act the way whales do operate, what I would do is to buy bitcoin when it was cheap, imagine that they had bought bitcoin when it was $4000, and then buy the worth of 1 billion dollars first, then they create a new that would make bitcoin go round the word and push the price of bitcoin to $20k.

That would be a profit of like x5 already which means that their investment would have turned to $5 billion dollars, so they have extra 4 billion dollars to pay part of the debt, while they keep repeating the same action until they are able to fully pay their debt to zero.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Capacity to Kill Bitcoin! on: November 06, 2019, 04:22:50 AM
In my opinion no one can kill bitcoin, because bitcoin has a lot of devotees and its market is also big. As much as the USA and China
will not be able to kill bitcoin. To be sure there is no owner of bitcoin, everyone has the right to buy it. And also bitcoin cannot be
controlled by anyone. Unless there is a situation where the entire internet is dead, or we go back to the stone age that can only kill
bitcoin. As long as still there are enthusiasts even though a little bitcoin will continue to exist. Because bitcoin is the future.

Unfortunately, it can be done. The other thing is that it will be too difficult to do it. Additionally, too many people support Bitcoin and those who even make an attempt to kill it will become the best-hatred persons. I am not sure that anyone is ready to become the object for beating. Thus, BTC will live long.
But, I don't see the possibility of killing bitcoin, they can only frustrate bitcoin usage and the users thereby dropping the volume, but no matter the frustration, there are some people that cannot be shaken because they know the worth of bitcoin, and they fully understand the technology, so they will not stop using bitcoin.

The only people that I know may fall for the problem are those using it as investment, but for people using it as means of payment, it would be absolutely impossible for them not to use bitcoin after they have already tasted the good thing about it that is not there in the fiat payment they have been using for several decades now, and moreover, you have to also remember that bitcoin is a decentralized technology making its transaction invisible.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority of blockchain project has lost focus on: November 05, 2019, 08:13:59 PM
majority of blockchain project is dead and useless. Its much worse than just loose focus
It is their lack of focus that actually led them to their death apart from the ones that are actually destined to die, those ones are what I see as professional scamming, because they purposely create a project to just die after they have received people's money from them.

I think that some project that initially had focus from the beginning really lost it because they have enough money raised during their campaign which they would rather just stick with that profit than pursue the real working product that would speak for some of their investors. I have stopped looking for newer projects now because they are the worst and I have just limited y investment that I do on a monthly basis to coins that are within the top 50 on binance exchanges.
259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some essential trading rules beginners! on: November 04, 2019, 06:02:30 AM
Even though things like this have been discussed a lot of times in this forum, it's still good that sometimes we bring it up and go through it once more, so that traders who have joined the community newly will come across it and learn as well.

Like you have said, everything is a process, you don't just jump on it and start trading or else you're going to end up with losing your money in trading. Before starting day trading, one has to learn the basics of trading and they can start when they understand the basics. As time goes by they will be able to go deep into it and learn things that they never knew.

They should never forget to make use of stop orders while trading, because there are times you will place the wrong order and this limit and stop order is what's going to save your ass. So knowing all these are very important.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ALTSEASON? are we waiting for nothing? on: November 04, 2019, 04:55:45 AM
I'm guessing Alt coin season will as well be the same season for bitcoin; both Bitcoin and altcoins might increase during the next bull run, that's how it's always been.

I thought that the bull run would be after Bakkt is launched due to how it was being hyped that institutions will start pumping to increase after Bakkt is launched, but it seems that's not it since the price didn't go up and even Bakkt traded only seven Bitcoins the day they launched.

December is also approaching and I'm thinking there might be a huge increase because the price of Bitcoin is already showing signs of increase. The price managed to pass the $7000 and the $8000 mark and has reached $9000 ($9.2k currently). But if this is not it, then we should be looking forward to next year. One prediction I saw in 2018 was that price will go up in 2020. Whichever one it is, we all should just have patience.
