swapping to sigt.v2
was supporting this project from the time I've heard of it and will support in the future.
Someone also mentioned that we might have mining option for v2 as was it in v1 dunno.
For me it became a long term investment and hope current team is more confident than prev one.
Anyways keep it up, despite all the shitstorm there are lot more supporters

246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remote rig resetting tool with PoE and relay switch on: October 19, 2017, 08:24:16 AM
Nice find, thanks for sharing. I also have been looking for something like this, but the products currently available were way to expense, especially as you said for people with a lot of rigs to control.

Just to confirm is the relay board you are using the USR-R16-T? Also, it looks like it takes a 12V DC input for power, is that also correct?

Thanks

not sure about the model, but 12v yes.
As you mentioned it's a cheapest solution I could find, 50$ for 16 Rigs and I have 100+
There also a way to build one big relay module with arduino, but as I mentioned in previous posts arduino behaves not as good as I wanted plus the coding part was kind off hard for me, it has some minor issues, but those issues makes it useless. So this one is the best so far
here's a link directly from seller I have buying experience with, after buying it you should find official page to download app and software for windows. It's easy as hell.

Ok it's been a month since I installed this last setup, wanted to share experience so far.
It did a great job so far and I totally recommend it, I'm adding 5 more in next week.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why the big mining pools use GPU on: October 09, 2017, 07:18:58 AM
I was wondering why the big boys like genesis mining do GPU mining instead of ASIC mining why you guys think? may be less profitable but more reliable in the long term?
depends, somehow ASICs may have longer ROI, but they are way stable and easy to use, while GPUs have wider specter of coins now and they will have in the future.
also depends when did you get let's say S9s or when did you get on the GPU mining train.. plus second hand GPUs from the company like Genesis wouldn't be a trash, they will sell it, refurbish, anyways they have paid themselves a long ago.

Hi,

Any experience, advice, etc. on Awesome Miner http://www.awesomeminer.com/default.aspx.

Thanks and regards,

Rizwan
I'm not sure you should look for it unless you have ASIC farm, but for ASICs this software is great, worth of any cent, tons of options and problem solving rules. Also some pretty good options for GPU and honestly never used it for my rigs except of anrminers.

Is Awesome Miner inefficient in GPU case?
refer to their thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=676942.0
they will have all the answers you are looking for, but for ASICs it is the best one around I've tried
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remote controlling on: October 04, 2017, 09:22:08 AM
VPN is also an option but with ssh you are good to go with just one program. Remote desktop in my cases with metered traffic has never been an option because of the very high bandwidth requirements.
Depends on connection type? I never had problem with VPN and rdp to my windows machines

252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remote controlling on: October 03, 2017, 10:36:39 PM
Greetings!

I am in need of a program which allows me to control remotely my computer, not only on the same network, but also from outside. Do you have any advice?

Thank you!
your only friend in this case is VPN, you have to options, first is more secure and more stable than second, so
1st is to get a router with a VPN connection and set it up, cheapest options are TP-link, Mikrotik etc.
2nd option is to set up a VPN on windows itself and open ports to that machine so that you can connect to same network via one PC and control entire LAN.
As I mentioned second option is not reliable and not recommended, on all my farms I use VPN routers and I'm able to connect, control and monitor them all together.
You can also use software as teamviewer or anydesk, but also not recommended.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Don't focus on GPU panic. Focus on efficiency. on: October 03, 2017, 10:28:13 PM
If you are new to GPU mining here is my advice to you.

Do not pay high prices for GPUs with the promise of great returns.
Do figure out how to stack discounts when buying online.
Do not buy anything on ebay unless it is truly a great deal.
Do consider buying a good PSU.
Do buy hardware when people panic sell.
Do not fear buying used, but always buy newer models from companies where warranty transfers such as Evga.
Do your research on the best models to purchase.
Do not sell your coins after the panic. Sell during the rush.
Do optimize your miners. This will pay off in the long run.
Do expect a long ROI at around 150 days minimum. This is not a get rich quick scheme unless you were mining in May/ June. Be willing to learn how to trade coins to maximize profit.
Zcash is your friend.

For science I purchased a bunch of GPUs in June to add to my existing arsenal. These rigs are 75%+ paid off already. If I can do it, so can you. Any questions feel free to ask.
the hardest part for me here is trading, I know I can maximise my mining profits with trading, but for years I learned nothing except buy high sell low... so I'm just sticking to mining, since the CPU, since my fx5200 was making profit on slush's, since S1 released.. So except trading for me it's never give up game

I am looking for management soft are too. Is awesome miner the best around?
you have to try it yourself, there are some

which one is the best for a mining farm?
for me for antminers is awesomeminer, for GPUs depends

მსხვილი კაპიტალიზაციის მქონე მსხვილი კომპანიას მენეჯმენტში აძლევს ფინანსურ ინსტრუმენტს დღეში 1% -იანი მოგება.

259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remote rig resetting tool with PoE and relay switch on: September 12, 2017, 06:25:29 PM
This is the reason I wanna be in mining! Thank you for sharing it

This little project is truly amazing, cheap and effective. It's also pretty easy to create a page to reset the rig without getting into the control panel.

I have seen many rig resetter, but IMHO this is the most original.
Thank you
it's cheap I agree, the relay itself is about 50$ cables, pins and buttons (100-100 pcs) 16$ and shipping from China to me 12-15$ so total around 80$ for 16 rigs + additional 50$ every next 16 rig which is quite good price.

Gpu is also in?
seems so,
very interesting and the prices are attractive too
