I think that was one of MJ's better songs. Didn't quit hit the charts because it wasn't a pop hit, but definitely has a lot more meaning to it than a song that uses "club, ice, baby, juice, bootay & krunk" 400 times.

I need caffeine to get rid of migraines occasionally. I don't drink sodas, tea, or coffee, but in summertime I get headaches and caffeine is the instant cure.
Are you sure it's not just dehydration? Have you just tried drinking water instead? Yeah it's not dehydration. I can load up on 2 liters of water and it doesn't help. I vasodialate more when it's hot and that leads to instant migraine when its sunny. If I hit a little bit of coke right as I feel it I can prevent it. Headaches can also be a symptom of caffeine addiction - when you don't get your daily dose. But your use to cure migraine seems reasonable in your special case. As far as I recall, caffeine is also a component in some general medications against headaches. ya.ya.yo! That would be an issue if I drank caffeine regularly, but for 8 months a year I don't touch it and I don't get headaches. Once the headaches start in the summer from the heat and bright light then I need the caffeine to rescue me. |

Why do you think there would be a bump when bitmain delivers miners? The miners have already been turned on and factored into the difficulty. You can't add the hash twice.
Exactly how much do you think Bitmain is putting into the future contribution. Friedcat said he was shipping out 100PH/s worth of chips. That will be going online sometime in the next 4-6 weeks. Unless your thinking about throwing the equivalent of 6 figures at mining equipment and are able to secure some sort of sweet deal you will more likely than not end up with less than you started with by the time your rigs are consuming more power than they are generating in coin. <---any non pre-order will basically hit this point within a month or two at the latest.
That's not true at all. Someone with cheap power at home will break even much faster than a large mining farm. A large farm has to worry about a/c, power distribution, and all sorts of overhead. Someone that is mining at home can have a small to medium setup with no extras at all. Sometimes the large farms let miners sit around because they take so long to setup. Someone smaller will be up and running in no time. You've been here for 3 years and I find it odd you would believe that assessment. I doubt anybody setting up a farm more than 0.1% of the network is mining with electricity at more than $0.10. They probably also have more infrastructure and space to begin with. True a home user mining with just 1 unit doesn't need to worry about heat but their overhead will probably be higher (plus they probably paid more than somebody buying 1k Neptunes for example). |

Then it might be worth mining again.
The experienced miners ignore the fiat value of BTC for the following reason: Do you want to buy 100BTC @ $620 for a total of $62,000 and only have to worry about securing your coins for 5 years or Do you want to buy $62,000 worth of mining equipment which would earn you 86BTC after 2 years with electricity costs I'm pretty sure the first option makes more financial sense. It's also easier to enter and exit. Mining does have its benefits like generating anonymous coins, but that requires massive power and solo mining. |

mmmm, so how do we create a coin that the asic manufacturers can't muscle in on the little guy at home mining a few coins. RandomCoin, a coin that simply generates coins at Random maybe.
What about a coin, or Bitcoin protocol variation that looks at the network and says, because of the current difficulty, I'm only going to give you a 0.0001% chance of generating a Block.
That way, no matter how powerful your mining equipment, you have the same odds as someone CPU mining at home.
Other coins have concepts similar to this but they haven't been accepted anywhere near as widely as BTC. Also this is a transient phase. Sooner or later the growth will pull back and then when there is uncertainty the hardware vendors may go back to selling instead of mining. |

Maybe you didnt clean the camera lens or somethings on there? So the result of the picture came out that way?
If you don't clean the lens you would get stain artifacts, not partially exposed subjects. This was a subject that moved out of frame relative to the other objects that were exposed for the full time. |

If you have access to RAID redundancy then it is just easier to go with larger drives.
+1 QNAP 4-bay populated with 4TB drives in RAID5 here. If you're storing that much data, do it right FFS. I picked up a bunch of 3TB external WD at Staples a couple weeks ago. I was going to crack them open and put them into a NAS that offers some basic RAID (for redundancy, not speed). I heard the Drobo 5 bays are easy to use and cost about $400. Should I go with Drobo, Synology, or Qnap as noted above? I'll mostly be putting family pics and movies (about 500GB so far) and HD movie rips (have about 5TB of this). I plan on using Win 7 x64 as the OS. Any suggestions? |

There's a thread in meta where people discussed the option to allow sanctioned selling of accounts and it was poo pooed. Ultimately they said it's not a good idea but there is nothing they can do.
Selling Hero accounts promotes scammers tricking new users.

I like this. Everybody is waiting for companies to make green products and be carbon neutral. It would be easier for the world if people didn't need to consume so much. Sure it's nice to have a TV in every room of the house so everybody could watch whatever they want, but 4 people watching on 4 LEDs is the same to the Earth as a family watching 1 CRT - except the CRT won't have as much non degradable plastic.
