Now that we are discussing about anything. Does anyone have an opinion on having a BTC donation address in your signature? Have any of you ever gotten anything from having one? A cool story perhaps on how you randomly received a ton of BTC. Kinda looks like begging in the digital age doesn't it  . (And I'm taking part of it ). |

I have just seen an ad of WU: "Send money around the globe for 0 cost" In small letters: "WU makes profit via conversion fees".  That's like a taxi service advertising that it will take you anywhere for free (you just have to pay to get in and out). I'm surprised an ad like that was allowed. It's in Germany... They thought taking over the world was allowed. Hmm Too soon? PS: Please don't take offence, I'm just trolling . |

Thats ridiculous. Very few "normal" guys can throw $70,000 USD onto what is still very much an extremely speculative investment. Maybe you're on wallstreet and think $70K is throw away money, but don't be confused. You have to be crazy well off to throw $70,000 into something as far out as bitcoin.
Probably I live in a country with a lot more money available for the average joe. 20 Bitcoins are worth 11-12k CHF -> most people with academic background earn that in 1-1.5 months! Yes, I can tell you, 20-100 BTC are no problem to invest including portfolio diversification (bitcoin shouldn't be more then 10% of your savings -> high risk). BTW. I'm a student and I have more then 20 BTCs.. @ seleme: how old are you? Just check the salary in switzerland and stop complaining about your miserable income. Yeah 8K Euro / Month NET? Sure bro! Most people with an academic background look at 3K Euro NET / Month. Anyway you're a student, what do you know. |

Every "normal" guy can afford at least 10-100 btc.
Perhaps every middleclass 'Murican and European, don't know about the rest of the world though. 10 BTC Should be in reach of most of us. 100 BTC definitely isn't. He's just trolling. |

i cant do it i cant sell me coins! again I've got 22 BTC a few days past a month so far mining as a NOOB....how many of you guys are gonna crack like an egg when/if BTC hits 1000 usd ..... ack....and from what I've seen on here if everyone runs to sell at the same time ..you seem to lock up the works anyway with no one selling....a nice little delusional loop I've only got 22 coins ..it hits 1000 usd and I actually have the $$$ to plan and implement my foolish mid life crisis correctly (sports cars co-eds and bimbos)..(must resist) anyway you with over 100 coins (big brass ones) I will watch ponder and learn and www.mtgox.com is at $721 and going up as I type ....all aboard the 'roller coaster" exit stage left sheez....only been doing this a month and flabbergasted already Don't think that you are the only one with such a small portfolio! Big profits can still be made with what you have, it's all about timing and it's never too late! Haha you say that 22BTC is a small portfolio... That's still huge compared to me! 0.11BTC currently! I just need to invest more and will when I get paid again Honestly though, a long term (as long as BTC doesn't get outlawed in future) market cap of $50B-$100B is feasible and that would price each BTC at $2381- $4761. That's not taking out the lost BTC or BTC in storage (not in the exchanges) so with that taken into account I think the price *should* go a lot higher than that long term. Well obviously now it is. A year or so back, 22 BTC wasn't that much. A lot of us here on the forum go way back and had the opportunity for a lot of cheap coins. (I wasn't one of the lucky guys, I discovered BTC when it was close to 70$). Still, if you believe in BTC; acquiring more at a pace you are comfortable with is the way to go. Some of the guys here have over 1K coins, that just makes me sick . |

I am not re-buying. still in the trap zone.
Even 900 could be the "trap" zone and form a double top. So you will wait 950 to go back in and miss on an extra 250 USD ? The time back in was 100 dollars ago, and now Nah Not now, 100 Dollars ago was an obvious moment to buy in. Now I'd just be lurking if I wasn't in yet. |
