2401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone recommend me a safe place to store my bitcoins? on: April 11, 2022, 12:04:19 PM
Hardware wallet as others has said. Trezor/Ledger is the most famous go-to's afaik, just make sure that you still ensure secure practices when storing your hardware wallets. Just because it's a hardware wallet doesn't mean that there's no way for people to still steal it. Paper wallets would be a cheaper type option of hardware wallets. There's also the option of using wallets like Electrum or Metamask but that would be an option if you can't or don't want to use hardware wallets. Lastly, just stay away from any type of custodial wallet.
2402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and reliogion on: April 11, 2022, 06:42:46 AM
uh what? Bitcoin is a medium, form of currency, religion is well, a medium of belief and/or worship of something (or escapism) to explain something unexplainable with the current standards we have. I see no reason why one would reject the other, especially in the information-driven era that we have right now. Anything that says so otherwise might just connect it to certain negative actions(from the religions pov) instead of the currency itself imo.
Allright it makes btc good ? If u can send donations with btc to church
It's neither. BTC is and would never be good or bad. It's the person using it that you would be described as good instead of the medium. Though if you were asking if Btc was a good "way" to donate to the church, well that depends on the church whether they accept it or not, and it doesn't really differ much from fiat in terms of being used as donation tbh.
2403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sports betting sites that return your money when you lose. on: April 11, 2022, 12:48:57 AM
What the hell is a bookie that returns your money, that's not a bookie, that's a scam trying to look like a sportsbook and are doing a really bad job at it. If you're really keen on betting, just use any other reputable sportsbook out there, why bother trying out a dubious one. It's a friend of a friend, that's basically a stranger ain't it? Pretty sure no one in their right mind would willy nilly follow a recommendation by a stranger (so OP did a gj asking around first).

And most importantly, just the link itself looks dubious. Hard pass for me.
2404  Economy / Gambling / Re: What bets are you making today? on: April 09, 2022, 04:19:54 PM
Mostly E-Sports (not like it ever changed ever since I started tbf). DPC is still ongoing and I'd probably continue till the end, I kinda also want to check out the CS scene but money is running kind of tight so I don't participate in them that actively. I might, emphasis on might, check the cs scene after the DPC depending if I actually get an overall positive or negative after the series. Been a long time since I've betted on other sports, specifically NBA and EPL (though one time only really).
2405  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you prefer lots of promotions over better RTP? on: April 09, 2022, 02:01:11 PM
I think that if they're just working on marketing while leaving behind their RTP, it's a waste of time, effort and money... maybe they're planning something else so it doesn't get affected.
Not a waste of money most probably because they wont do it if its not effective and most probably their goal to have more gamblers on their site that’s why they took risk on increasing their marketing funds. Honestly, we can’t do anything about this since we have no control over the site, and if you think its not worth it to gamble on that site anymore, you’re free to go to other site and play there. I prefer the good odds than to sacrificed much of my money on a site that I don’t wont pay that much in favor to the gamblers.
It's actually more advantageous for them since the more players they get while the lower RTP ratio they have, the greater the profit. RTP isn't actually something you'd need to take note of like marketing BUT it is important to manage it so that players don't feel that the casino is just stealing money from them. It's for a long-term relationship between the casino and the user. Fully concentrating on the marketing on  the other hand only creates a short term relationship with the casino, since players would naturally leave a casino that has bad RTP.
2406  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 09, 2022, 01:23:16 PM
^ Both of you are definitely right!
I have a friend who did not like to bet in sports betting because the reason of takes a long time to wait for the result, not like a gambling casino, it is very easy and you don't need to think so much and it has a quick as a fast result. This is probably the right answer to the question, we don't need to compare both of them, each of us has a preference which we like and don't like and choosing one of them or selecting them both is also a good choice.
Well, sports gambling isn't really something you'd do solely for the "gambling" aspect. It's still mostly about watching the match you're betting on, so it's mostly about anticipation and enjoyment for the match itself. Some people naturally enjoy not the waiting part, but rather the info gathering part and then creating a scenario where they're actually right, which results in a bet win.

Don't get me wrong gambling games can be taken as a means of passive income but then it is mostly based on luck and not the skills of the players.
what give us passive income in gambling? that is staking and not playing because instead of income you will only get losses in gambling.
Agree, there's no passive income in gambling lmao. There are only two results for each session, win or lose. It does not generate income for you no matter how much time you actually give to it. True passive incomes would be stocks, businesses, etc.
2407  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Little Surprised! on: April 09, 2022, 12:26:56 PM
Well, it's probably because it's not a "first kind of thing" event. It's not as effective as the first ones before it, and probably due to other factors which pretty much negated the increase that should've happpened (and even decreased the price instead). Maybe we need a different kind of event that could force the movement to go up in general (though tbf, the general movement these past few weeks has been positive). It only went down this past week I think? Might even be a correction from the past few weeks gradual growth.
2408  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's price stabilize someday? on: April 09, 2022, 10:44:15 AM
Bitcoin has achieved a lot nearly 13 years since its inception. Ever since mainstream adoption skyrocketed like crazy, prices have never been the same as they were before. As it's been proven over time, Bitcoin outperforms Gold, Silver, and nearly every other asset on Earth. Despite widespread adoption of Bitcoin by mainstream businesses, companies, and governments alike, prices relative to Fiat haven't stabilized yet. It's something that I find odd, since institutional investors are already in the game. Not only that but some ETFs have been approved by the SEC. If Gold's price is relatively stable, why can't Bitcoin be the same?

Why do you think Bitcoin's price hasn't stabilized yet? Is there a possibility they will stabilize in the future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Because adoption is still in its early phase, demand is still increasing by quite a lot while supply released is being reduced every 4 years. Stabilization would only come once we consider Bitcoin to truly be a worldwide currency, to the point where its usage is like fiat. Though by "stabilization" I mean there'd still be movement, but it wouldn't damage owners of the coin that much, aka minimal volatility compared to the amount of volatility we experience today.
2409  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is safe heaven not against volatility but as store value on: April 09, 2022, 05:18:53 AM
No one is really limiting you to only have a single copy or backup of your seeds. Maybe lock it behind a cipher even to ensure that even if it gets stolen, they can't get your seed phrase out of it. There's also the option of using other types of the store of value such as gold, it's really a matter of what you can access and hide imo.

Storing on cloud (or custodial wallets) isn't really a good thing, they give you a sense of illusion that you are in control of your funds and tend to hide the fact that they're really the ones holding the funds, they're actually just giving it to you when you need them.
2410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are getting stronger, how are you contributing? on: April 09, 2022, 01:59:14 AM
You downplay yourself, man, the goods themselves look pretty good. Interest in Bitcoin wouldn't necessarily be the only factor for the growth of your store, delivering continuous quality goods should also be one of them. I'm curious whether you have an official site you work on or are just using social media to spread publicity and accept custom orders.

In the previous quote it is said about such an act of promotion will cause problem getting the attention of police leading to unwanted taxation. Maybe that too can happen, if promoting bitcoin is crime according to their law.
That's going overboard, I mean in that case, I'm pretty sure a lot of creators (drawings, songs, poems, any creative art basically) that portray negative stuff such as death, killing, depression would all have some sort of punishment just because the topic they portray is, well, negative. Legalized or not, wearing clothes or creating content about Bitcoin should be allowed, it's basic freedom.
2411  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Occupational hazards of trading crypto on: April 08, 2022, 02:38:19 PM
actually trading is like what we live, if we place trading as a job, then we also have to work according to the working hours that we set ourselves. or else we have to be able to manage our time, our stress level, that's why many people say to trade according to their own comfort, where everyone will feel different comfort. Therefore, if we have health problems due to trading, then our strategy is wrong, and we don't feel comfortable
And it's true. Even dedicated traders only set a set amount of time trading, heck maybe even less than your average trader. It's mostly because they've learned how the markets move so knowing the when is rather easy for them (or rather easy for them to assume that is). Using up all the time in the world doesn't guarantee profit (but it does help at some point).

I believe there are more risks to being a full-time trader, and this is dependent on the amount of money you have committed in each trade. For example, I can open a $100 spot trade position and if I get trapped and lose 50%, I may be brave enough to hold that position as I can manage the loss, but even with that ability, I can lose my appetite, I wouldn't want to talk to anyone as a small thing can upset me easily, and I may become mute throughout the day; these are some of the common after-effects and emotional damage I face in short term.
What happens if I open a $100000 position and lose more than 50% of it? It will not only cause me to have high blood pressure for a long time, but it will also cause me to fall repeatedly whenever I remember my errors. Cheesy Cheesy
As others have said. The heavier the risk, the greater the opportunity. Really simple analogy but really scary once you go to levels above your actually capable of on average.
2412  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Putin at risk of being stopped by his own military Generals on: April 08, 2022, 01:42:26 PM
I don't think so. If generals were the only thing that was needed to stop Putin, pretty sure this war would've been over long ago. He's probably lost a lot, but maybe that's why we haven't seen any sort of possibility for this war to end because even with all the losses he got, he's still going at it pretty strong (in a bad way ofc). I honestly don't know if he's planning on fully achieving his goal or just trying to wait and see if he can recoup the losses that he got from the start till now (which is nigh impossible imo).
2413  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 08, 2022, 12:42:21 PM
It would be casinos. "Gambling" is technically something you'd do when you want to rely on luck, and most (if not all) casino games have majority of their win chance dependent on luck, so yea go there if you really want to experience what it means to "gamble".

  • What do I need to know to play casino?
  • Which is a more profitable casino or sports game?
  • And Which Platform should take as a newbie gambler, casino or sports?
Based on this though well, you don't need to know much, basic rules of the game plus depositing to the casino site (e.g,, tokens to play) would be what you need. Profitability is kind of hard to answer, after all if you're both bad and unlucky, both types wouldn't net you anything. If you are lucky though, gambling could probably net you more than sports gambling where as sports gambling might be much more consistent. I'd go for sports, it's fun and you probably won't rage/get tired of it quickly.
2414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 08, 2022, 09:20:22 AM
With the way they are playing, my take is they can carry this momentum forward. Ammar is the only weak link I'm currently seeing for OG. That kid is good, no doubt,  ut his extreme cockiness and inconsistency makes the ordeal really painful for the team on games where he is expected to deliver. I do like the fact that he's a flexible player that can do mid with Huskar, and it helps when they are outdrafted on the first picking phase, but then again Huskar isn't an all-rounder mid laner that can carry in mid-late game.

Personally, if Ammar can be consistent with his performance, this OG lineup can even win majors or even TI. Honestly Taiga is what saves Ammar on losing the lane with the dude's constant application of pressure on the 5 support which isolates the carry of the enemy.
Agree. They're doing really well so especially Taiga, his performance has been stellar so far and has really helped in making plays for the entire team. And as you have said, he's really helping Ammar in the laning phase, his decision-making really keeps the pressure on the enemy team which gives space for Ammar to breathe every now and then. Yuragi, Misha, and BZM have been doing really well consistently, I don't think there's much to say about them tbh.

I really understand your point because all his bushwhack is pretty on point to catch enemy and save team mates on game 1. His game 2 hoodwink is the best since his bushwhack is perfect setup to kunka combo skill which surely obliterate enemy that they will caught. The final clash on the river is the best when they the turn around clash while they are chasing by all the member of GG. He caught 4 hero of GG that completely erase when kunka benefits on that setup..
Though tbf, I'd fault Gladiators for those setups. IIRC they kept on trying to burst one hero but ended up being set up by Taiga then followed up by Yuragi.
2415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UFC fighters will get their bonus pay by Bitcoin on: April 08, 2022, 03:28:03 AM
Since it's just a "bonus", I don't think there's much to complain about it. Converting it to fiat if needed shouldn't pose that huge of a problem for them imo, and I don't think they have to worry about it's value if they were to convert it to fiat immediately. Maybe have some of their managers handle that issue, ask the athletes what they really want and then let the managers handle the specific details themselves. As for being happy or not, well, it is a bonus, pretty sure most of them would be happy whether it was in cryptocurrency or not.
2416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just watch "Trust no one" diocumentary film related 2019 biggest crypto scam on: April 08, 2022, 01:09:16 AM
I don't think your first point sounds right? Centralized exchanges are basically just like every other Centralized system out there, it's there to make the processes involved a lot easier by connecting it with a bunch of other centralized stuff. It's by no means actually needed imo (after all, how do you think transactions happened in the beginning when centralized exchanges weren't a thing?).

Naturally, Bitcoin is lost upon death, unless you provided a method to access your wallet that others can access. Simple as that. I'm still not sure whether it can be accessed by an external party in the near future but at the moment, it's not possible.
2417  Other / Off-topic / Re: An Unforgettable Day In my Crypto world on: April 07, 2022, 10:40:56 AM
It's why people who trade always say to only invest what you can afford to lose. That also includes taking into account emergency funds. Your investments aren't sources of money to be used in case of emergencies, but rather they're your passive income(at least part of it) most of the time. I'd recommend trying to earn more money, at least until after paying your debts your living relatively well. Then invest most leftover funds after deducting payments for regular expenses to crypto. No need to invest it all at once, you can invest gradually.
2418  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I trade cryptocurrency with FX trading knowledge? on: April 07, 2022, 05:40:53 AM
Should be fine, the general idea of what to do and how to read the market should be rather similar, if not the same. The main difference here would only be on the target market, so that's a separate thing you have to study from scratch (not to mention studying all the jargon for the crypto stuff if you really want to dig deep). Try doing what you feel is right for a few weeks, that should be enough to show whether what you know is enough or you need to learn the market better than now.
2419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you want to be an admin of an online casino? on: April 07, 2022, 01:13:31 AM
I'd honestly suggest creating a team-first that could review and offer opinions and reviews to your site before anything else. UI is a very integral part of what users see when they visit your site and it's usually one of the basis they use to judge your casino, and judging from your screenshot, it's not looking good. I know it's a self-developed project, but that's all the more reason to spend more time reviewing the casino and developing it into a much better site instead of rushing development.

I also saw from your post history that you sold sites prior to this as well, honestly, it just looks the same. Recolored and the like, UI still looks pretty bad. It's kinda rude to prior buyers since it's almost a reskinned site of theirs imo.
2420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free Gambling Course provided by OnlineGambling on: April 06, 2022, 01:15:27 PM
I just have one thought with this, damn that's a lot of episodes. I know blackjack can be complicated if you go to the nitty-gritty of things but I never expected it to last that long, especially if each episode was as the article has said, 2 hours long. I just hope it doesn't go in the direction of discussing even the history, like I get it I know it's pretty important but not really in the context of teaching how to gamble and play blackjack imo. I'd actually enjoy financial management when gambling as part of the course imo. Basic skill for gambling but can be quite deadly (to your wallet) if not done properly.
