This is why me & many more with large sums of money in bitcoin are pulling out.

Your own username is 'fewcoins'.

It seems pretty unlikely that you a) have any real wealth, b) have 'large' sums in bitcoin or c) are pulling anything out.

You come across as a young dumb kid hoping to push the price down on a day you think might result in a few more coins than normal hitting exchanges (black friday).

Edit: Reddit might be a better crowd for your age group

Podyx, that is why only those who can trade very responsibly, or those with actual market information tend to trade successfully with leverage. It is an excellent way to lose all your funds, eventually. As the vast majority of 'traders' on this thread will find out sooner or later (if they haven't already).

2423  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 28, 2014, 11:33:24 AM

Plz don't quote him.
BirdDog is best user here to IGNORE.
Second is lambpoch and clones.

Same to you Smiley

Well the price manipulation continues. No biggy, gives us more time to accumulate and suck up the new coin supply from the traders.
2424  Economy / Speculation / Re: We made it, boys and girls. on: November 28, 2014, 11:05:59 AM
He still has no clue of what he is talking about regarding gold.
How much this guy is paid? 300-500k$/yr? All of that for bullshiting his clients. It's pretty sad.

Taleb has recently tweeted that traders were forbiden to listen to strategists when he was working in banks as a trader, I start to think he was serious.

No banker believes what he wrote. The report is not for the banking elite. It is a form of distraction to the masses. (They cannot start buying gold or gold 2.0!)

...
Why would you make more than one transaction for a purchase? The values might come from different addresses, which resembles you metaphor of 10 10$ bills.

Because I control more than one address?  Because tx fees are ridiculously small?  Because it costs nothing to create an addy?
Why wouldn't I, considering that folks like you equate # of transactions with influx of users?  Profit.
If you want to make fake data, you can also just send the same amount forward and back between two addresses to increase USD volume. That doesn't make that metric better in any way.

Don't expect a reply to that rebuttal Smiley

Why monday ? Auction is the 4th of december, i think we will see more dumps till it is over.

Is that what happened last time?
2427  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2014, 02:55:20 PM
Just bought a few more coins on circle. Lots of 'this user is currently ignored' trolling the threads this morning. I guess that means we are to be moving up shortly!

2428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Xiaoxiao's trading/forecast blog on: November 27, 2014, 01:54:07 PM
Still shorting @ around 385 from few weeks ago.

Prospect of next month: horizantal.  range $350-$450.

It must suck to be trading with less than ten btc when you had the opportunity to just buy and hold in 2011 but didn't because you thought you could get rich quick.

That might account for your constant bearish "analysis", yes?

2429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everything except the price trend is going fantastic on: November 27, 2014, 01:48:36 PM
Thinking this very much too - and considering just how much positive the growth of fundamentals has seemed over the past year, I'm very much looking forward to the adjustment.
In the last half year, the use of Bitcoin hasn't changed much. See Estimated transaction volume in USD, which has been flat for six months now. There's been a lot of talk about growth in usage, but it's not happening.

If you want to know the usage, why do you see the volume in USD? That chart shows how many wealth in moving. The number of transactions should be a better meassure of dinamism. https://blockchain.info/es/charts/n-transactions

Nagle was here in 2011 and missed out on being an early adopter by being constantly bearish on bitcoin. I would review his post history before taking his posts too seriously!

I expect that the Bitcoin ETF will trigger the next rally phase.

I wouldn't expect any rally of significance any more.  People got burned by the MtGox bubble.  Tullips don't rally twice.  Moreover, there are now a lot of trading options.  Speculation and trading usually make large excursions harder to come by.  A fully speculated and traded market usually only has large excursions as a function of unexpected events.

I would expect the price now, on the longer term, to evolve more slowly as a function of the expectation of the future fundamentals of bitcoin.  Bitcoin came to some form of maturity after the MtGox bubble I would think.

Well worded bs. Look at the long term log price chart, the current user base, and current market cap. Bitcoin has far further to run from here. Newbies.

2432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you plan to get out of bitcoin? on: November 25, 2014, 05:48:58 PM
I already posted this link in the wall observer thread, but nobody cared about the gist of it.
70% of the November 2013 bagholders' coins (mostly in China) are still waiting, could be dumped when owners lose hope.
http://www.coindesk.com/analysis-around-70-bitcoins-dormant-least-six-months/

when people lose hope you know it's the time to buy. I'll happily buy bitcoins at below $100 from the bag holders. Then I'll sell the same bitcoins for the same bagholders when 1BTC is $10,000

You're an idiot if you think bitcoin would recover from a crash to below $100 all the way up to $10K.  If it would recover at all.

it will recover even if it crashes to $10 because I can see the potential the bitcoin protocol has. It seems that you can't see the true value of bitcoin.

Below 100 allowing you to buy in cheap then to the moon right? Hilarious that fail to see value here (at the market price) yet in the same breath think it is revolutionary.

when people lose hope you know it's the time to buy...

That's the theory. In practice it takes a long time (could be months) between most people losing hope and reaching THE bottom.

You mean 275?

He will buy when the dam finally breaks and the price stairsteps higher. He will then mindlessly cheerlead the bull run and wonder why he didn't buy up coins in the 27x and 3xx range.
2435  Economy / Speculation / Re: Volatility, ain't seen nothing yet, 10K to 1M in 1 year??? on: November 25, 2014, 05:22:12 PM

I put it to you that a 100 fold increase in price is possible.

Of course.

BTC market cap right now: 5.1 Billion

For comparison, Apples market cap right now: 700 Billion

http://www.macrumors.com/2014/11/25/apple-market-cap-700-billion/

So after a 100 fold increase in price, all coins combined are worth less than one major US company.

Not that i compare BTC with a company. Just to give a little perspective in the amounts of money out there.

So do your math, and act accordingly. Then just wait 5, 10 or 20 years... Good Luck  Grin

That's very important.  Apple's worth 700 billion, because there is real fundamental value there.    The market cap of Apple is real: if all the apple shares are sold over one year's time, there will probably be enough takers and the market cap will hold, because it has fundamentals.

Bitcoin's market cap isn't really 5 billion.  There's only a very small liquidity that is actually exchanged.  If half of the coins were sold next year, the price would plummet.  If you are holding 1 million coins, you cannot really make $350 million.  By the time you've sold half of them, the price would probably be something like $100.- or less.

That is because for the moment, the fundamentals of bitcoin (merchant adoption, and share of the gold market for instance) cannot even sustain the current market cap if bitcoin were totally liquid (if all coins were regularly exchanged).

I would guess that the highest fundamental at this moment is the black market share treated in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is as of now still a hugely speculative asset, speculative in the sense of people counting on a strong price increase in the future.  That's why many hold their coins: expecting it to be worth several $1000.- or even much more.
However, I have a hard time believing such a price is sustainable if the fundamentals don't follow.  There could be a (manipulated) surge, but I can't believe that most coins could be exchanged at such a high price - it would automatically lead to a price crash afterwards when holders would want to cash in (that is, if the coins became liquid).

So in order to have a high sustained coin price, the fundamentals must rise.  Merchant adoption is the way.  Bitcoin is way below apple, because what is actually bought with bitcoin is way below what Apple brings on the market.
I don't think that will come overnight.

Sorry but you don't understand what market capitalisation means. Apple shares, any share is precisely the same as bitcoin. If enough shares are sold the market capitalisation will collapse. Its actual value is every bit as illusory as bitcoin. Sure you can do some calculations and attempt to value apple stock. But the share price is simply a transient figure backed by supply and demand and looking at price earning multiples for a company like amazon is also highly speculative.

Not sure what you are trying to say here.
2436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you plan to get out of bitcoin? on: November 25, 2014, 05:14:45 PM
I don't give a crap about price. I will be using bitcoin for the rest of my life. If you are just interested in dollars then by all means go.

What the fuck are you talking about..... you don't care if your purchasing power loses 70% of its value? I don't understand this mindset... what is the point if it's costing you money? This is not a good attitude to have and it's the kind of talk that will keep newcomers out because you sound like a delusional pro-bitcoin anarchist... to promote bitcoin it needs to help everyone, it needs to be useful and worth it to the common person... as it is designed as long as the price gradually goes up

And if the price goes down I simply buy more Smiley

And one day you realize you lost all your money because the price never stopped going down, great plan  Smiley

You trade your meagre savings away to nothing.

People holding bitcoin are what support its price by limiting the coins used to set the price. With just 1-2 million people using btc now what the general public do is irrelevent. It won't be the public who drive the next price jump, just a few million interested people globally. By the time Joe public gets onboard volatility will have smoothed considerably.

Try and keep up.

No moon. Only down to 360s again....

Really? I'll buy your coins for 360 right now!

No, I'll wait to sell them in 2 weeks at 1000000x the price.......

Ah, you just pull the numbers out of your arse!

Isn't it time for you to create another shit thread? It's been a while.
