2421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 26, 2022, 10:13:14 PM
I think it is finally time for Arsenal to turn back at being the winning team their were in the year 2000-2004 and if I remember correctly those were Thierry Henry times, good old times for Arsenal.
Whilst i think Arsenal are doing a very good job in the transfer market this summer, i don't think they are close to getting back to the winning ways of those years, in my opinion Arsenal can't win the EPL just yet, if they are going to win the EPL again it will take quite a lot of time to happen, for now they just have to concentrate on a top four finish, and maybe to chase a domestic cup (either the FA Cup or Carabao cup) triumph. Arteta is very good, but if he is to bring back Arsenal's glory days, they have to be very patient with him, and spend a lot more cash in transfer windows.
2422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 26, 2022, 06:47:32 PM
Yeah all confirmed now. Well actually he already made up his mind to leave before Haaland deal happened but anyway that made things much better for us to get Jesus at good price. I like the way Gunners are doing business in this transfer window. Raphinha next...lets go!!
I didn't know even know you are an Arsenal fan, i am pretty sure you are happy how your club is going about their business this summer, it's been quite a long time i saw Arsenal getting deals over the line this shrewdly and without too much fuss, it seems Arteta has told the board what they must do as regards transfers to make sure Arsenal make it back to the CL, and also to ensure that they compete for trophies next season too, and the board are doing just that.

Jesus' work rate is admirable, he is a team player and gives his all on the field for 90 minutes, i have no doubts that he will be 100% committed to Arsenal, and will score numerous goals too. Jesus has never had quite a sustained period of playing time since coming to the EPL with City, now he is going to get tons of playing time all season long, let us see how many goals he will score, quite a lot i think.

Op you cannot be banned because of what that user said, the only things that can get a user banned is plagiarism or posting malware in the forum, if you have done none of these, then just ignore whatever threat it is that you have received and continue posting in the forum as normal. This forum doesn't impede on users' freedom of speech and opinion, thus if a particular user is getting on your nerves, just ignore the person.

You have made more than one post in a row, posting multiple times in a row is against the forum rules, please merge your posts into one. And by the way, i don't know why you quoted the OP to make one of your posts above, your post is unrelated to anything in the OP, neither were you asking any questions relating to what is in the op, if you don't mind, you can edit out that quote so we can keep our local thread clean for discussions, without unnecessary quotes that makes here somewhat messy.

If I understand you correctly you mean ready learning is by abstaining from bounty? 🤔 I need more explanation please
Whilst you are free to do whatever you want on the forum, as long as you are not breaking any rules, and participating in bounties is not against the rules, but if you want to learn, and as well contribute to the development of the forum, then you can't do it by participating solely in bounty campaigns like you do. When you spend all of your time in the bounty area, that means you will miss out on other more important boards in the forum relating to Bitcoin and other whatnots, and the discussions ongoing in them, thus how can you learn?
2426  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of Negative trust and Ban on: June 26, 2022, 12:11:15 PM
Most times learning the hard way is better. The various forum rules still points to one direction avoiding  plagiarism, shit posts, scam and cheat.
Now are you avoiding any of that by promoting 1xbit, a scam sportsbook & casino. You actually received negative feedbacks yourself on that, but yet you are still promoting 1xbit, how do you do that and still be able to say this:
I do believe any one can be the best the can on the forum it is a matter of devotion, research, commitment and  content.
2427  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The fear of Negative trust and Ban on: June 26, 2022, 11:58:32 AM
The OP earned his first three merits yesterday as a sort of encouragement for him to change how he views the forum and actually start contributing constructively. OP even had this to say afterwards:
I must commend your generosity for giving me merit even after my flaws. Like I use to say in most of my posts here, I'm ready to learn from anybody that's willing to carry me along boss 🙌
OP claimed to be ready to learn, but i do not think that is the case, since then op has gone back to the bounty section and has been posting report after report, and now this thread. I am afraid this is not how to learn or contribute to the forum, you need to start doing things that will make Bitcointalk a better place, and you are doing none of that as of this time.
2428  Other / Meta / Re: What happened to the forum plagiarism rules? on: June 26, 2022, 11:41:25 AM
This cleared my concern about creating a thread, I thought that putting a summary is still considered as plagiarizing offense.
No it is not. But you ought to be careful when doing this, when summarizing an original text, you must ensure that you have understood it very well, if you have, summarizing it in your own words would be very easy and will be original too. But if you do not understand the text and you try to do it, you will only be paraphrasing it, which is plagiarism. There are users who just paraphrase original texts from somewhere else and post it here without any link to the source, and thus claim ownership, that is plagiarism, so make sure whenever you want to share knowledge, you are actually knowledgeable about it; and if you are not so sure of yourself/to remove all doubts, just add the link to the original text in the end.
2429  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: [CHARTS] Monthly Overview Of The Unofficial Nigeria Local Board📈 on: June 26, 2022, 11:30:37 AM
The activities and members have grown surprisingly in comparison to the previous year; I hope this trend continues because I understand how difficult it is to have a multi-topic discussion on a single thread.
So difficult mate, but what can we do, we just have to continue with things this way till Theymos approves of our local board request, actually i think Nigerians who are active on the local board deserve a whole lot of credit for keeping that thread largely organized, the discussions aren't happening in a haphazard way, and users who make mistakes while posting are being corrected and they take those corrections, i noticed some weeks ago that a few users quote posts in an annoying way, making the thread messy, but they have been corrected on the right way to go about things, and most of them have adjusted quite quickly. I do hope our quality activities continue to grow till we move over to our local board.
2430  Other / Meta / Re: What happened to the forum plagiarism rules? on: June 26, 2022, 09:01:00 AM
Let's say I create a thread "Different strategies in trading" and gather info on different sources. Post some of those information while including the links where I got them, is that considered plagiarizing because the statements are not from me even though I gave credits?
No. In the forum including a link is quite enough for a post not to be considered as being plagiarized. But why would you just make a thread that is word for word/exactly the same with the original source, only to add a link in the end, without including your own thoughts/ideas nor putting it in such as way that it becomes one other users can discuss about.

Having said that, the best thing to do to keep discussions flowing is if you have a useful link/source about an information you want to share, you should read it up first, and then post somewhat of a summary of it here, with your own thoughts/ideas, in your own words, and then include the link in the end for users to know where you got the larger knowledge from and might want to visit the original source to get more knowledge.
2431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying on: June 24, 2022, 08:11:45 PM
I voted for City in the polls, not that i would have voted for another team even if i did consider that team to be favorites, i'm a City fan so i always think we are favorites to win every trophy, and in earnest we are. It is crazy though, how in the last three seasons or so everyone thought City would have won the Champions League, but we couldn't just get across that line, i sincerely hope this is the season we do manage to get across the finish line and finally lift that elusive trophy. But typical CL is always going to be tough, PSG are also in search for their first CL, Liverpool are also very strong, and then there is the champions Real Madrid, it is going to be as competitive as usual.
2432  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 24, 2022, 01:42:44 PM
Paul Pogba is very near signing for Juventus on a free transfer now. As you know already, he is leaving Manchester United at the end of this month. Juventus have been the closest team to sign him these days and they are very likely to finish this deal now.
Yeah, it has been obvious for many weeks now that Paul Pogba is returning to Juventus where he unarguably played his best football, if he can rediscover the form he had there upon his imminent return, then it would be great for his career, cause at the moment he seems to be in the lowest in terms of form and commitment.
Pogba thinks that Manchester United made a mistake by waiting too much to offer a new contract to him. He is right I think. Because Paul Pogba has been an important part of this team for a long time. He played in the half of the games of last season in the Premier League but it was because of his injury. He performed quite well in those games.
I don't know what Paul Pogba thinks, and what i read last week was that he complained about the wages in the contract he was offered, and not that he was not offered a new contract, according to him the wages/salary offered by United was 'nothing', and i actually find that to be funny, Pogba didn't contribute anything meaningful to this United team, forget about injuries, he was not just giving the team the sort of performance that made them spend so much money to buy him; now for him to instead improve on his game level, he was unsatisfied with his wages that was pretty high imo. I don't know what anyone makes of this, but maybe Paul Pogba just couldn't carry the responsibilty put on him at United.
2433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: June 23, 2022, 06:21:46 PM
Toni Kroos definitely deserves the appreciations for him. He has been playing for Real Madrid since the 2014-2015 season. I don't remember any season that he was called like he performed badly. He has always been very solid in the midfield. He is aging maybe but this is still not affecting his performance very negatively. I'm saying this because I believe he can still maintain this performance when he leaves Real Madrid and joins a big team like them. Who knows maybe even Bayern Munich would like to have their old player back in the team then.  Cheesy
I do not think Bayern Munich will be an option for Kroos should he decide to leave Madrid, i don't think he left Bayern in very good circumstances, but that is not the discussion here. Kroos has been solid from day one till now, a true Real Madrid legend, what i love most about him is how he goes about his business without too much fuss, just does his job smoothly. Having said that, Madrid's midfield is aging, with Kroos and Modric gradually coming to the end of their careers, but their replacements seem to already be in the team, in the persons of Tchouaméni and Camavinga, two very young and quality midfielders that look set to be the future of Real's midfield, it will be difficult to fill the boots of Modric and Kroos, but we hope they would be able to do it in time to come.
2434  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 23, 2022, 05:22:21 PM
The quality of these two teams is almost the same. And we can't say for sure which team will be able to qualify for the Champions League next season.
It is even possible that neither of them will qualify for the Champions League next season, remember Manchester United could be back in the mix, they have a new coach and his assignment for next season would prolly be a top four finish, i am not saying it is certain that United are going to finish in one of the CL spots, but what i am saying is that competition for a top four spot is going to be tougher next season, of course we expect that in this new season Manchester United would play better than they did last season.

Having said that, all teams start at zero points, so it is game on for everyone, you can't predict what is going to happen, but you can be somewhat certain that City, Liverpool and Chelsea already have a spot amongst the first four slots, thus leaving Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs to compete for one spot, it is going to be some competition next season, not just for the title, but for a top four finish.
2435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking Loans - Is it ideal? on: June 23, 2022, 05:02:48 PM
Too risky, but many people said you cant be successful without taking the risks also most business owners taking a loan and start a business always a gamble just be responsible on how much you want to loan and the possible outcome if it will not be successful, yeah its a really bad idea but sometimes it can make you a lot of money especially if you bought at the bottom of this bear market and wait for another bull run, In the end its up to your self if you want to loan or not.
Cryptocurrencies are too volatile, and taking loans to prolly start or grow your business is quite different. When you take a loan for your business, a large part of the job falls on you to use your skill and knowledge to grow the business so you can pay back before your loan is due, you are at liberty of applying your business skills and make smart moves for the success of your business, mind you i am not saying it is certain that your business will succeed, but part of the responsibility to make it a success is on you.

But it is quite different in crypto, you control nothing, you just buy and see what happens, more like gambling, i know Bitcoin isn't a gamble, but that is if you are talking long term, but in the short term quite a lot can happen to give you a hard time in RL if you invested with borrowed money. Thus what if your loan is a short term one and you have to pay back as soon as possible; I do not consider investing with borrowed money to be a smart risk, you could land yourself in big trouble if you do that.
2436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 23, 2022, 04:11:43 PM
Bayern Munich are continuing to make impressive transfers recently. Their recent transfers are Mane, Mazraoui and Gravenberch as you must have heard already.
Yeah, good signings i must say, especially with Mane who is a complete attacker that can play either on the left/right wing position, and also as the main striker, i do not know the situation with Lewy, he looks to be pushing for an exit, but Bayern do not seem ready to sell him, if Lewy doesn't leave, then it would be exciting to see an attacking trio of Lewy in the center, Mane from the left and Sane from the right, that would be a really strong attack, and maybe then can just go all the way again in the CL, they last won it in 2020, and for a team like Bayern that will feel like so long ago.
Do you think Ronaldo would leave then?
As things stand now i do not think Ronaldo will leave Old Trafford, though a lot can change quite quickly in football, especially for a team that has a new manager who has some reshuffling to do, i don't know if Ronaldo is in Erik's plan for next season, but we will find out soon enough!
2437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 22, 2022, 05:39:32 PM
Several clubs are interested in Di Maria such as Juventus and Barcelona. we will see that Di maria side will accept an offer from which club this summer as he is currently on a free transfer. Di Maria himself wants the duration at his new club to be only for the next 1 season because in 2023 Di Maria plans to return to his hometown and play in the Argentinian league. Juventus has submitted a bid proposal for Di Maria but Di Maria side has not provided an answer regarding the Juventus offer.
Since Di Maria already made it clear that he wouldn't mind playing in Barcelona even though he is an ex Madrid player, then personally i will prefer to see Di Maria in Barcelona, he would be returning to Spain, an area he is quite familiar with, so there will be no adaptation process whatsoever, and Barca are a team that are in their rebuilding phase, so it would be really exciting if Di Maria can join them and help them challenge for the La Liga title next season, as a result he would thus have some extra motivation in him. In the end the decision is Di Maria's to make, and i am pretty sure one will be made soon to put all of these speculations to bed.
2438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 22, 2022, 05:16:55 PM
I don't think Arsenal will be able to win the Champions League trophy this season. Because many teams have already formed their teams in a strong way to win the Champions League trophy. However, considering Arsenal's current position, they are certainly one of the contenders for the Champions League
What exactly are you even talking about, Arsenal finished in 5th position in the EPL last season, meaning they failed to quality for the champions League next season, they were not even in last season's competition and have been absent from the CL for quite awhile now, so what exactly do you mean by what you said? How can Arsenal be contenders for a tournament that they are absent from, i find that to be quite amusing to say the least Sad
2439  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: June 22, 2022, 04:46:28 PM
Unfortunately, our oppressors have conditioned most Nigerians into being okay with their suffering and not seeing any need to try to become better. Because many have tried and failed, many people have lost all hopes as regards the redemption of this country and do not see any possibility of it being better, hence they just want to survive and if possibly join the band wagon of criminals to secure their own portion of the national cake.
I completely agree with you. I have said this a couple of times in discussions with my friends, these 'men' have systematically put it in 'our' heads that Nigeria can never be better, they have successfully instilled the defeatist mentality in Nigerians, that is why it is not uncommon to hear a typical Nigerian say 'Let us face reality', and as they face reality, another oppressor assumes power and the chain of suffering incessantly continues. Mind you for someone who has accepted his or her 'reality' to be hunger, poverty, terrible power supply, unemployment, bad roads, et cetera, that individual would not mind selling their votes for a meagre one thousand naira, that individual would not mind shunning elections, cause to them, it can't get any better, or worse.

To be honest, i am quite optimistic about 2023, i do sincerely hope that Nigerians break free from this defeatist mentality and do what is right, enough is enough of cheering on our oppressors, and in the end suffering continuously, the man to change Nigeria for good is here, but i wish every Nigerian can see it and do what is right.
2440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Analysing the market for small investors on: June 22, 2022, 04:30:24 PM
Mine owe advice to them is no amount is too small or too big in crypto as long as diversified your investment. I see opportunities to invest in what you can afford to lose. Nothing is good or bad until the mind makes it so.
If you actually meant diversifying as in buying Bitcoin and then other altcoins as well, then i am afraid you aren't diversifying at all, if you have been reading threads in the forum especially in this board, you'd have come across posts explaining what true diversification is, Bitcoin and altcoins are instrinsically similar, thus if you buy the both of them you aren't diversifying per se, if you want to diversify then buy Bitcoin and other assets like gold or silver, etc.
Your suggestions would be investing in other altcoins you can afford to invest in, right? but nobody knows what the future holds for them in this bearish market.
I do not think i have or can advice a user to buy altcoins, many of them are pump and dump coins and have no utility at all, so you can be prolly sure that most of them will dump and not rise again, you are advised to buy Bitcoin cause it has an actual utility and even if it plunges, it will always rise back up again, altcoins are different, they are backed by hype and fake promises and not its utility which most of them lack.
