But I personally think Arteta is going to beat Everton today.
I personally think the same thing too, i mean, Arsenal can see themselves go five points ahead of Manchester City at the summit of the EPL table with a win tonight, that is an advantage too alluring for them to miss, i know Everton were able to win the first leg tie at Goodison Park, but i expect a completely different game tonight at the Emirates. Arsenal have only lost once at the Emirates in the EPL this season, and it was to Manchester City, i cannot see Everton becoming the second side to defeat them there, it does not look like something that can happen.

Having said that, it is always tricky to play teams in the relegation zone fighting for their lives, that is the position Everton find themselves in this season, the relegation battle gives teams an extra spring in their steps to up their game, but i think the best result Everton can get tonight is a draw.

Na always quality over quantity and na one value we suppose to dey instill In the minds of people and newbies and we all suppose to dey preach the gospel of quality..
Na wetin many Nigerian users no know, the main thing no be to fill up the board with new posts or to they start new threads, everything suppose happen in an organic way, no need to rush anything, i go they happy even if we still they for the first page of this board, but with only quality threads and posts, and not all these duplicate posts wey i just they see everywhere for this board.

Having said that, my Nigerian brothers make we calm down, we fit lowkey they chase quality users comot from this board, if you just look at the first page of this board you go see plenty threads wey no suppose they here because they are duplicate threads and spam. We don complain tire, but at this point ehn, e be like say the only solution here na for us to get our own Nigerian moderator wey go be Nigerian user.

Tbh i know that quite a lot of people can fall victim to this kind of scam, that is why anytime i see something like this i don't see the victims as complete dumbasses, because i know how poor (extremely poor) my personal security was before i became a user on Bitcointalk. That's why the first thing i do once i have a friend who uses crypto is to introduce them to this forum, i think it is going to be extremely difficult for a long time user in this forum to fall for something like this.

This kind of scam is quite popular in my country, but their modus operandi is quite different because they use the traditional banking system as bait: you receive a strange call and the person claims to be a worker in your bank telling you that there's some problem with your account that needs to be solved, the scammer goes ahead to request for the sensitive numbers on your ATM card coupled with other details...whenever i get a call like this i usually toy with the scammer by allowing them waste all their time talking, and when he believes he has gotten to me...i end the call with a resounding "fuck you". 1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have bitcoin, what do you guys recommend I buy as well on: March 01, 2023, 11:42:40 AM
I have a good amount of btc that I'm very pleased with. I love btc. Are there any other coins you guys could recommend I buy next? (none of your comments count as financial advice)
Well i am glad you are pretty much aware of the risks of taking financial advice from others, but since you already asked, i'd answer based on my own knowledge. If you already have a good amount of Bitcoin, then what you should do is to buy other assets that are not cryptocurrencies, diversification is when you buy Bitcoin and other non-crypto assets. OR you could continue to accumulate more Bitcoin into the long term, there are quite a lot of people that have thousands of Bitcoin, but yet still accumulating, it is a long term sustainable coin and has a very secure network so there's nothing wrong in accumulating as much as possible, as long as you can hodl it safely and prevent loss.
1505  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija 2023 General Election Updates! (Nigeria_Decides_2023) on: March 01, 2023, 11:35:02 AM
After the winner is announced, there will serious court cases.
INEC don announce Tinubu of the APC winner of the 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria, me i no go lie you oh, the thing pain me wella, not only because i no believe say the baba get anything to offer us, but also because INEC don work against the will and choice of the people to favor the ruling party wey be APC. Before the election start, INEC promise Nigerians heaven and earth, but the reality no be wetin we see and the matter they very sad, this election will go down as one of the most poorly conducted in our history as a country.

Having said that, definitely most of the other political parties would go to court, but imo na waste of time, our judiciary they useless, and if person fit buy INEC, why him no go buy the deciding members of the judiciary. As e be make we just focus on developing ourselves individually.

Now I'm hearing speculations such as Salah might be likely to leave Liverpool depending on if they qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season. It doesn't seem a far possibility to me truthfully. Because he is a world star right now and I understand if he doesn't want to play in a tournament under the Champions League. Besides things are already going terrible for Liverpool in general so there is no motivation source for him to stay either. I wonder how much Liverpool want to keep him from now on as well.
Well i don't think Mo Salah can leave Liverpool that easily, just because Liverpool couldn't make it to the CL (that's if they eventually don't) next season isn't enough reason for him to decide to leave, if the club miss out on CL football more than once or a couple of times, then he could prolly leave, but just once isn't enough imo.

Having said that, Salah could prolly leave Liverpool if he thinks his career can't develop any further there, but he is a club legend who has enjoyed success in Liverpool, so i don't see him running away so easily now things aren't so rosy for the club.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 28, 2023, 12:28:43 PM
Arsenal was defeated 1-0 in the previous match. Arsenal players will have to avenge the previous defeat. I expect Arsenal to win 2-0 or 3-1 today. Looking forward to seeing Arteta's match strategy.
Well the first leg result (which was a defeat for Arsenal) is inconsequential to how this match tomorrow is going to go, nor would it have anything to do with the outcome, this is a different game and we should forget about the first leg whilst talking about this one. Having said that, Arsenal know how important it is for them to be victorious tonight, victory would take them 5 points ahead of City, and that is a great advantage for the Gunners. Arsenal are definitely going to be on the front foot from the beginning of the game, and Everton would defend deep in their own half and box, Everton's best result tonight would be a draw, but for Arsenal, only a win would do.
1508  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The self-proclaimed leader of ESN Simon Ekpa has been arrested in Finland on: February 27, 2023, 11:13:54 PM
Yes I heard it,and now he has been released and my question is, why did they released him if really he has go against the rules and regulations of our country Nigeria,or does it mean that they cannot withheld him on behalf of the Nigerian s petition to Finland,or does it mean that they interrogated him and find him not guilt,or does it mean that the arrest was not about the petition against him by Nigerian?
Wetin you suppose know be say Finland no they like all these yeye underdeveloped countries wey no they respect rule of law, there is a process to everything, you no go fit just arrest person keep am there till when you like. So from wetin me i understand, them been arrest am for interrogation, and thay gats release am afterwards. Another thing be say Finland no get jurisdiction on this matter, so the only thing wey them fit do na to extradite am back to Nigeria, but that one no be small process because Nigeria go gats prove to Finland say Ekpa's crimes don reach to extradite am back home.
But if he was released because he was found not guilty,
The Finnish government no get jurisdiction to decide that, as the matter be now we just hope say them go fit extradite am come Naija, that is when a legal process would begin based on his offenses.
1509  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't consider yourself lucky on: February 27, 2023, 10:10:25 PM
The idea of the scammer here is that the victim is going to be greedy, and once overwhelmed by avarice such victim would think they are just being lucky and are about to profit from another's mistake, but little would the victim know they are the one that's gonna be scammed.

The scam is quite popular and i think anyone who has been in the crypto space for a few years must have heard of it or experienced it, thus i think the perpetrators would be hoping that their scam finds a newbie who is most likely to fall victim. Having said that, if you aren't expecting any PM, treat anyone received as a possible scam except proven otherwise.
1510  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People mindset in Bitcoin on: February 27, 2023, 05:17:41 AM
Bitcoin is not a certain way to quickly become wealthy or resolve all financial issues. When working with brand-new, erratic assets like Bitcoin, it's crucial to invest responsibly, have financial knowledge, and exercise prudence.
Bitcoin is not a 'brand-new' asset, i know it is not as old as most traditional assets but it is already over 13 years since its inception, and not just that, it has survived quite a lot within that time, including economic crunch which people said would signal the end of Bitcoin if it happened. I wouldn't categorize Bitcoin and its network as erratic because it is very safe, the price might be unpredictable to an extent, but it boasts of a solid network.

Having said that, people who want to invest in Bitcoin still have to follow the rule of thumb of investing only what they can afford to lose because it is not a get rich quick scheme, you are correct about that, but so it is in other traditional investments, one has to always invest responsibly, you can't basically just throw all your have into an investment opportunity no matter how safe you think it is.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 27, 2023, 04:54:55 AM
Arsenal are going to play their missing game in a couple of days. Their opponent is going to be Everton this time and I would like to remind you that they lost to Everton away before.
Yeah, Arsenal would play their outstanding game on Wednesday against Everton, Liverpool would also play theirs on the same night against Wolves. Whilst Arsenal lost to Everton in the first leg game, i am not expecting the same fate to happen this time around, i think Arsenal are going to win this game convincingly and move five points clear of Manchester City at the summit of the EPL table.

Having said that, after 24 games played this season, i can say that Arsenal have played beyong my expectations, nobody gave them a chance this season, even when they started well people said they would fall off sooner rather than later, but they are still there, and whatever happens from now until the end of the season, Arsenal can really be proud of what they did. It is a great step for them to return to the 'elite group' in the EPL.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 26, 2023, 10:15:57 PM
Of course not everything has ended in the PSG - Bayern Munich draw. But it is the truth that PSG's job will be more difficult in Allianz Arena after that 1-0 loss.
Of course the game is still open, PSG only lost by a goal to nil, and for a team like PSG with world class players, turning the game on its head should not be something that is beyond them. But if PSG are to ever get anything from this game, then they must change the approach they employed in the first leg game, i expect them to do that anyway, Mbappe is back, and they play better with him than without him. Though Neymar is absent, but i think they'd be able to cover up for him pretty well.

Having said that, it still remains advantage Bayern Munich, and the return leg would be played in their home, i am rooting for them to finish the game off in the second leg. I am predicting a draw, which would obviously favor Bayern Munich and see them progress.
1513  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Abeg all this political Mata for different threads don do. on: February 26, 2023, 09:49:14 PM
My brother i tire pass you, i don't just understand how everybody wan post new thread about the election, if you wan discuss election matter, just do so in the original thread wey another person don create for that purpose, no need to start your own thread na. Wetin e mean be say many people no they read, them go just come start new topic, comot, come again start new topic, comot again; abeg e no make sense, the spam wey they this board don they too much.

Having said that, make una remember say admin been give us this local board after a very long time of asking, and if you check well the baba no they too approve local board requests, so we suppose set good example na. Activities no be by too much threads wey plenty of them na spam, wetin we they find na quality and constructive activities. E come be like say we just they scramble to fill up the board with posts, abeg make una stop.
1514  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Everyone Eventually Buys at the Price they Deserve on: February 26, 2023, 02:12:16 PM
It would seem to me that you are very enthusiastic about your friends investing in Bitcoin, whilst to you it might seem a good thing to do, it actually is not, for obvious reasons actually, many of which has been highlighted in this topic already, the moment you are somewhat of the catalyst as to why someone invests in Bitcoin, you are already bearing the consequences of any mishap that the person might incur in the course of that investment.

Having said that, if your friends are suddenly interested in Bitcoin because of this minor pump, and they now see that the price has gone up from when you guys had your last discussion, then you should prolly tell them not to invest until they absolutely know what they are getting into, the price might be high today, but what if a plunge happens tomorrow, can they bear it, can they hodl.
1515  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The self-proclaimed leader of ESN Simon Ekpa has been arrested in Finland on: February 25, 2023, 10:16:18 PM
He does all these from abroad and not within Nigeria and Nigerians (south easterners) are busy singing his praise meanwhile he and his family are abroad living a good life and catching fun over there then the gullible Nigerians tht does not know their Ieft and right would be busy chanting making noise, crippling their economy every Monday just to obey someone who does not care how they fare.
The thing be say 90% of Igbo's no they in support of Simon Ekpa and his nonsense, at this point ehn, e they very clear say Ekpa is sponsored by some top politicians wey they use am disrupt the peace and security in the South East. No Igbo man is happy with this nonsense sit-at-home order, if you remember, when these sit-at-home nonsense start people no they obey am, but the people wey they sponsor Ekpa go recruit many boys, give them better guns, na those people come they enforce the lockdowns, they shoot people, so basically the only reason why people they stay indoors na because them they fear. If Nigerian government can guarantee security of lives and property, no cap na, people go fall out 2 seconds.
This guy sits at his convenience from Finland giving our ogbo brothers to sit at home on Monday, you can imagine and now again telling them to boycott the general election, how did our eastern brothers get there of being controlled by by some one who is not even within the seashores of the nation.
The matter they sad, but i don tell you the cause of all these problems, if people can feel secure them go fall out. As for elections today, there was massive turnout in the South East, no mind people like Ekpa, soon people like him would be forgotten, Nigeria would be great again.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 24, 2023, 07:15:43 PM
Chelsea have a big vulnerability in defense you know. Their Southampton match was also a proof for that. Apart from the vulnerabilities in defense they are still inadequate at scoring goals also.
The thing is that Chelsea's problems isn't just the fault of one department in the team, it is a general problem, one thay have to address from the root. Imo their problem stems from their sacking of Tuchel, but that is in the past now, and even though i feel Potter is incapable of bringing success to the team, i think he can surely do better than what he is doing right now.

Having said that, they have a huge London derby this weekend, and if Chelsea want to start a resurgence, there is no better way to start it than to beat Tottenham. Conte's team aren't in the best form possible, but they are surely in better form that Chelsea, but all of that might not matter, it is a must win for both teams, but Chelsea needs the win more (imo), if Potter loses this one then there would be immense pressure mounted on him, which could culminate in a sack letter for him.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 24, 2023, 12:00:03 PM
whatever happens, the fans will support him. Let's positively thinking, maybe Ramos wants to concentrate on PSG
Just like i said in my earlier post about Ramos' retirement, he didn't retire because he wants to concentrate on PSG or because he wants to look for another way to contribute to the Spanish National team, Ramos was basically 'pushed/forced' out, remember he was not included in their WC squad by Luis Enrique, a decision that came as a shock to many, then in his retirement message yesterday he said he was called by the new coach of the National team, and he was told he was not part of his plans, this was what made Ramos decide the time to step aside completely is now.

Having said that, i don't know if there are internal problems between Ramos and the National team management, because for two different managers to both oust him from the team, it shows there could be a deeper problem in it all. But anyways goodluck to Ramos in his retirement.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 24, 2023, 11:19:52 AM
Once Real Madrid sealed their qualification against Liverpool next week, there is a possibility that they will meet Napoli on the next round of the game if Napoli qualifies against Frankfort and that will be a superb game of the tournament, the outcome will be unpredictable considering their both forms.
If Real Madrid qualifies there is a possibility that they can meet any of the other 7 teams that would make it into the QF, that is because there is going to be another draw (on March 17), this draw is both the QF and Semi Final draw because afterwards there'd be no other draw and we'd be able to know the teams that would face each other in the QF, Semi Final and possibly Final if they qualify/win their games.

Having said that, whilst it would be quite interesting to see Napoli come up against Real Madrid, we can't be sure if they would meet each other yet, until the next draw is made, it is then we can now make predictions and guesses as to who would and can possibly face off.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2023, 09:57:23 PM
Sergio Ramos announces his retirement from international football.
I don't know why the Spanish National team management are being so quick to do away with Ramos, first it was Luis Enrique not including him in their 2022 WC squad, a decision that came as a surprise to many people, including me, because imo Ramos is still playing at a high level in PSG. In his retirement message today he claimed he was called by the new manager who told him he wasn't part of his plans, thus it is basically clear they pushed him out of the team and forced him into this retirement, what boggles me is that Spain do not even really have too many solid defenders, in the WC they had to convert Rodri who is a defensive midfielder into the heart of defense.

Having said that, i wish Ramos a good retirement, he can now focus entirely on his club football, and work towards achieving success with his club PSG, he has already won it all with the national team, so he can retire with contentment.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 23, 2023, 05:44:20 PM
Osimhen is really a player who really contributed to the slick game displayed by Napoli, so it's no wonder that he is in great demand by many of the top teams in Europe. This player's contract with Napoli will expire in 2025, I think the decision is now in Napoli's hands, if they are willing to let go of a player who has a positive impact on the team, then signing with another team can happen. But if Napoli wants to keep this player, then maybe we will see him with Napoli until the end of his contract.
Victor Osimhen's future doesn't rest on only Napoli's hands, the player might also decide to leave and the club would not want to force a player to stay with them, that could make him unhappy and would inevitably affect his performances. The issue of big and rich teams pricing away players from small and mid clubs has always been a big problem. It is very difficult to keep a player that most big European clubs are chasing, even if you manage to keep such a player, it won't be for too long.

Having said that, i know it would be very difficult for Napoli to keep Osimhen in the summer, he is definitely going to attract a lot of attention from the bigger clubs in Europe, clubs like Manchester United, Real Madrid and some others. Sometimes when the money on the table is quite big and the player is willing to go, then the club would have no choice but to release the player.
