isn't just an immediate deal-breaker
Immediate deal-breaker.

If it's just about "who-owns-what" and speed of an exchange doesn't matter, why don't you wait for colored coins?

No no no, you did not read what Greg wrote.

Greg wants to use paypal so that all the identities of the investors are known for compliance purposes so that he can operate the fund without having to do compliance himself. The paypal is just for identification.

Weeks ago eh. Would have been nice to have seen a public statement from you on this. Sadly your name had been used to bring credibility to this project - and I think your apparent silence means some stain has rubbed off on you.
Perhaps I missed something from you in the ridiculous number of pages in this thread.. but I don't see any statements from you in your post history.

Many people bought because of his name being attached, to be honest his reputation deserves to be tarnished as he left it this long to come out about it.

Two questions about the ads at the top of the site:

- are they pay per click, pay per impression, flat-rate, or what?
- were does the revenue they generate go?

This is not a complaint, just questions : )

Dooglus runs an auction thread and the money made goes to running the site and marketing expenses. Its not pay per click or anything like that, people just bid on the next weeks spots in the auction thread.

2424  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 09, 2013, 03:24:55 PM
all this is great except for the fact that I have already reduced my ActiveMining position to 0, as I assume most other Americans have done or soon will do.  too little too late.  good luck with the company.

False.

Why would I cash out at a loss when none of the reasons I'm invested in ActM have changed? There are many other of us Americans that are still long on ActM. The exchange issue is short-term.

Ken, I am not American but for people like kleeck that are in America can you turn their shares into direct shares? This will allow them to create pass throughs on other exchanges without you having to be involved?
2425  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 09, 2013, 12:45:34 PM
On another note, does anyone know the earliest we are meant to be getting the prototype miners up and running? I can't wait for some meaty dividends.

You scare me. Are you for real?

Crazy, huh?  I could be more like you and post 100 times without saying anything whatsoever of value, but instead I choose to do what I can to make sure that clear records are kept.

I think what's his asking is, how long will you post this list? Its clear the game is over.

Labcoin is forever gone.
2427  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: October 09, 2013, 11:16:18 AM
Is this the preface of the final closure of Bitfunder?

Well its a stab in the dark to see if they can continue running. I am sure if they plan at this stage to close everything down they would have done that now instead of this no Americans mess.

If this puts them in clear legal water then it worked. Personally I think taking advantage of the new crowdfunding laws is the way to go, and even if those laws were not being enacted then somehow becoming legal is a much better course of action. Getting entrenched now as the legal bitcoin stock exchange will be well worth it. For example NASDAQ is worth several billion dollars (Thats over 50,000,000 bitcoin)
2428  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: October 09, 2013, 08:58:26 AM
Exchanging directly held virtual shares between each other, is illegal now?

I am on your side, but it sounds like they want to make everything illegal.

Too many busybodies in Government.
2429  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: October 09, 2013, 08:28:21 AM
Relax poeple. I can bet that there will be many proxy services for US citizens. It's just a matter of time.

Bitfunder through weexchange will be demanding citizenship papers and such. Proxies will not suffice.

Theres more than one type of proxy service, no?

Do you mean verified people acting on behalf of American shareholders?

The only issue I see being Bitfunder discovering this and claiming all the shares. I am sure the new terms of service will prohibit the proxy of shares with penalty of confiscation.
2430  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: October 09, 2013, 08:24:27 AM
So with the new crowdfunding laws coming into effect, will Bitfunder resume US operations?

If not I am certain a competitor will rise and take this space.

US investors will have to go to direct shares and a decentralized exchange until crowdfunding law takes effect.

Considering that these Bitcoin based stock exchanges may soon be legal, I am sure they can continue to operate in the time before this law passes similar to what happened to the Citigroup merger. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citigroup#Citicorp_and_Travelers_merger

Of course a very good lawyer will have to pull it off, letting the system run for the future until its actually legal. Maybe this cannot be done...

And I find that there is no option to upload my identity card, that is, I believe the most important identification in most country, should be worth 50 points.
My guess is that it is an Americanism, as they do not have identity cards, but driver licenses has been providing that somewhat.

Thats irony right? How their identity requirements are very much influenced by the American way yet the entire point is to not allow American people.
2434  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 09, 2013, 07:02:49 AM
I am hoping an exchange pops up soon taking advantage of the new crowdfunding laws being passed in the USA. I believe within 6 months a fully legal, unaccredited investor based stock site for bitcoin will emerge in the USA and this exchange will finally put an end to the cowboy exchanges Bitfunder and Havelock.

Its only a matter of time.

First one to legal wins this race. Its a shame Bitfunder isn't even going to try. (Are they even aware of the new laws on the horizon?)
2435  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 09, 2013, 07:01:34 AM
Yes, sorry that's what I meant by AM. Will correct it in my comment if it's important.

I actually thought you meant ASICMINER. Sorry for being pedantic I know some ASICMINER shareholders are moving to Havelock.
2436  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: October 09, 2013, 06:44:56 AM
Hi, I was also wondering if I could transfer my AM shares to Havelock. So I guess I vote +1 on that Smiley

This is the ActM thread.

She looks pretty girly in her driver's license

Why do you have her license?

That would have been really helpful last week.  I don't understand why you have been withholding her email, license, etc... everyday you seem to have something new. Stop covering for them and help us get them.

Scammers have feelings too!

Please don't harass the scammers as they want to get on with their lives.

Maintenance in progress. Thank you for your patience.

Thats it he's shutting the site down.

Ok its back up.

EDIT: grammar and the site was only down for a few minutes, but I suggest that Bitfunder being down for any amount of time at the moment is very unprofessional.
2439  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: October 09, 2013, 03:11:12 AM
One of the links even takes me to the ICQ profile in which he calls himself "Gladiator", which seems quite italian..

Can you hold off with the tar & feathers until TheSweed is offline?  He's a bit emotionally vulnerable right now.  Hasn't been properly compensated for his services.  Have some frikin' compassion Angry

Like I said earlier, every employee/front to this scam will cry that they have lost money and have not been compensated.

Its all bullshit that lapdogs like dhenson will suck up and believe.

TheSweed owes us all money. I suggest he set aside perhaps 50% of his portfolio and bitcoins and start allocating back to the shareholders, as it was TheSweed that was the front to this whole thing.

TheSweed, please send 35 bitcoin to 1BkcBNxVGrYhA1aGjiYRZkJr1Weh6Qs2KS

Cheers.
2440  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] WTF! BitFunder Restrictions to US Citizens on: October 09, 2013, 02:48:10 AM
Yes, its all of ua USA'rs fault, die USA'rs. Stop being stupid, there is no government out there that's doing its people any favors.

Well most Governments don't try to control the entire world. That is the difference.

Actually that is the function of any government. What do you think the world wars were about?

Actually no, most of the countries involved fought to simply maintain their land. Only a few powers were interested in taking over the world.

The function of any Government is to govern and do right by her people. Obviously no Government in the world actually stands up to this ideal, but some are better than others. I suggest the USA works against its own people every single time making it one of the worst offenders, along with China and Saudi Arabia.
