2421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If BTC reach 100,000.00 USD ... (to analyze your amount in BTC) on: April 22, 2020, 11:01:22 PM
For me it wouldn't be enough to retire and do nothing but it would be a big enough cash injection that I'd be able to realize some of my dreams. Get a car that I want, travel to wherever I want, see the world, try some extreme sports, buy all the gadgets that I've always wanted.

To be honest if I had 10 BTC at 100 thousand dollars I'd be able to retire and do nothing for the next 20 years but I don't have that much.
2422  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Work management on: April 22, 2020, 10:41:37 PM
Did you, people who call bounty hunting a hard job, ever had a real job? I think not.

Try running an office, be an accountant or a translator full time and you'll see what real work is like. Bounties are like a part time job for a student.
2423  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: negative trust on: April 22, 2020, 10:30:06 PM
It is not recommended to fight or it will only get worst. The only one who can remove the negative trust is the one who give you the negative trust. If you feel that you don't deserve the negative trust then you should explain that to the one who give you the negative trust and also prove it that you don't deserve it.

Not true. It's always good to fight if you feel that you have not done anything wrong. Maybe you will be able to explain the case and get some supporters who will counter the negative with a positive feedback. Such things happened a few times.

If you feel like the feedback was given just to prove a point or that someone wants to damage your reputation don't be afraid to start a thread about it.
2424  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-03-05] Power Plant Mines BTC 5.5/day on: April 21, 2020, 08:08:16 PM
It's an old power plant that used to burn coal and was filled with asbestos insulation. It's now converted to biomas but still creates a rather dirty power when compared to solar, water or even nuclear powered plants.

https://www.levylaw.com/asbestos-exposures-greenidge-generation-plant-dresden-new-york/

Greenridge is not producing green power, despite its name Wink

Despite thet they're still putting the equipment to good use. I'ts better to mine BTC than let it all rot and decay.
2425  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I sell bitcoin now? on: April 21, 2020, 08:02:54 PM
It is quite clear that the price will go low due to COVID and the need for some physical cash. I personally believe that after this crisis, bitcoin will rise as it should be.

You must be joking. People who invest in cryptocurrency are not those poor guys who don't have any savings and survive on benefits.

The average bitcoin holder has some money on the side and will not go hungry because of covid. Also the pandemic is stabilizing and the number of cases is expected to decrease in Summer while the price of Bitcoin is expected to at least stay on the same level after the halving.

Bitcoin is staying strong during the depression and those who sold in anticipation of 3000 or 2000 dollars made a mistake.

2426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 21, 2020, 07:44:29 PM
The article says he won almost 300 thousand playing slots. He hadto put a ton of money there in the first place. I mean thiose games don't pay out 1000:1 so he had to be playing with thousands from the beginning to score such big wins in just a day of playing.

Winning a lot of money in slots is even harder than in dice and having the balls to put thousands in a single spin is worth an applause.

This game looks a bit like an ad for those games they put in the pictures.
2427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you need licence to open up an online Bitcoin Casino? on: April 21, 2020, 07:18:30 PM
Getting a license is really easy. You can get a license from a country that supports gambling and running an online casino makes it very convinient for you to apply wherever you want because there's no rule that your server must be located in the country that provides the license.

Many online casinos get registered in Curacao, Malta, Cyprus.

Casinos that aren't licensed are not worse than those with a license. Licenses cost you money so you need a decent turnover to be able to afford it. Many operators don't apply especuially when the business is in aa early stage.
2428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 21, 2020, 07:05:08 PM
I read it in an article, but that's beside the point.
Even if the costs are $0 and electricity is free, during halving your profits are still cut in half. That was my point.

I think it's a rough eastimation not a real cost. Maybe they calculated it based on the cheapest power some Chinese miners have  Huh

I've read many other estimates that gave a much higher cost of mining and came to a conclusion that everythiung below 5000 dollars would already put most miners out of business.

Profitable mining is depending on the cost of power somewhere between 5000 and 6000 dolllars. I guess at this moment with price at 4000 there's not a miner in the world that wouldn't be mining at a loss.
2429  Economy / Economics / Re: The drying oil on: April 21, 2020, 06:56:08 PM
Obviously one of the most reasons is about this pandemic has a huge role for the changes in the price of oil. During this global crisis where a limited number of transportations are allowed to be operational as well as production and other business are a force to shutdown temporarily then the demand on oil has been reduced. In order for oil companies to sell, they will do it at a lower price to encourage everyone to purchase their oil.

For now, let us enjoy the low price because after this pandemic the price might become back to the normal price. Good benefits to the consumers but it is really sad to the investors and businessmen that probably they will experience as of now a huge loss.

No, the pandemic is not the main reason. The main reason the disagreement between OPEC and non-OPEC countries.

The demand was really going down a bit and OPEC countries wanted to decrease production so that the prices wouldn't go down drastically.

I read that some countries don't know what to do with oil surplus so they're loading every single container they have and keep trains fully loaded ready for export. I believe the prices will go down even more.
2430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $3 billion in 'dust' to enter the market will push the bull run past the halving on: April 21, 2020, 06:47:12 PM
If really so much stableshitcoins is waiting in the sidelines I don't know if I should be happy or not.

If as much as a billion USDt gets converted to BTC a smart person should think twice if it's not a good moment to sell their coins end exit because we all know that stablecoins can be printed much easier than fiat money. They're just numbers in a database so by selling your coins for USDt you're literally getting dust just like they're naming it in the article.
2431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 19, 2020, 09:58:19 PM
OP if you lost 100 many times than you're doing something wrong. It's not about the money that you're investing but the way you're doing it.
You're probably overleveraging your trades and losing everything.

Keep on trading small amounts of money until you can make a profit.

Don't jump to big investments like 10 thousand dollars and more until you learn to trade and make 200 out of your 100.
2432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price to hit $400k a prediction by an analyst *face palm* on: April 19, 2020, 09:54:16 PM
I've read some predictions that I agree with and those were basically saying that Bitcoin is an all or nothing asset and in the next 10 years it will go to a million dollars or almost 0.

If you compare the value of a typical payment platform or an international bank it can be many times more valuable than Bitcoin. If bitcoin relally becomes the digital gold that people want it to be it's going to become more valuable than some small countries and a million dollars per coin is not going to be out of reach.

On the other hand it can like many technologies become abandoned and forgotten. 400 thousand is not much really.
2433  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Today i opened acc on Bittrex.com what i should do next? on: April 19, 2020, 09:36:02 PM
Do you know how to use Bittrex? If not follow their faq.
https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/categories/200049234-FAQ-Frequently-Asked-Questions

This should help you to buy your first coin and I recommend that you should get BTC before anything else.

Don't keep your coins on bittrex. Send them to a desktop wallet.
Install a wallet on your computer, generate a deposit address and paste it into your Bittrex withdrawal address field.
2434  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies and Problems on: April 19, 2020, 09:32:31 PM
My advise to you on the last question is to work hard and earn merits. when you have enough merits. move to the service sections to join bounty payments that pays in ethereum and bitcoins. this the only sure way to earn a penny here. do not listen or join any airdrop activities here because it is a business for some scam people.

No that's not what he should do. This forum should not be only a ladder that you're climbing with a prize of a bounty campaign waiting on top.

If that's all that you want you better think twice about what you came here for.

I'm not saying bounties are bad or that you should not join a campiagn but registering on the forum and trying to get merit because there are campaigns is not the right approach.
2435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 19, 2020, 09:23:52 PM
I'm  not so sure this is the best time to fight addiction. If you are not going to work and you are at home with nothing to do and online casinos are just a click away...it seems to ne that is the perfect environment for addicts. To go to phisical casino or to play online doesn't actually make any difference.
However, some can still succeed to fight it with strong and constant support of family but I don't know many such examples.

That's it. People who are bored and sit at home will find more time to gamble.

Also those who are gambling to forget about other problems will find that in this time of recession they have even more problems. They may be facing getting let go from their jobs and maybe even losing some older relatives to the virus.
If you are any other type of addict like a junkie or an alcoholic you will also just get deeper into your addiction.
2436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the dream of crazy on: April 19, 2020, 08:58:53 PM
and ended up getting married as well, now I have no funds because I have no funds.

So a girl married a completely broke guy? She must really love you.

I also love your explanation - no funds because no funds. Try explaining that to the IRS. Listen I have no money cuz i got no money so gtfo!  Grin

If your guy stole all your coins why didn't you go after him?
2437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: April 19, 2020, 04:45:06 PM
People themselves must be able to get the information they need, at school they only need to teach this.
The school should give a general understanding of what exists in the world, while the man is obliged to decide which of all this he wants and will study.

I agree with this and my opinion is that the current system of education is bad because it forces people to stay at school up to a certain age.

People should have the freedom to learn what they want and what they think will be profitable for them.

They should learn the basics of every subject at school to be able to make a choice and see what they might like and what they might be good at. The rest is self learning and research.
2438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tyler winklevoss admires link? on: April 19, 2020, 04:33:12 PM
And what about it?

It reminds me of John McAfee appreciating this or that shitcoin so that the community might later find out that he was paid to show his appreciation.

When a well known figure says this or that altcoin is great you can be sure that they have a stake in it and will cash out if their shilling starts a hype.
2439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Up or Down, People Hodl on: April 19, 2020, 04:20:40 PM
Based on data you gave the bitcoin is in good progress, deposit always bigger than withdrawal, but i think many whale is just hodling now, i dont see any big move from whale recently, or maybe i just missing that news

Actually his data doesn't say anything about the hodlers.

Those people do not trade but hold their coins to hedge against inflation and excessive goivernment interference in economy. The statistics showing deposits and withdrawals from exchanges don't really tell you what the hodlers are doing. It only shows you the general behaviour of bitcoin traders.
2440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Need a Catalyst to push up prices on: April 19, 2020, 03:45:51 PM
What altcoins need is BTC pushing above 10 thousand dollars or better reaching ATH. If Bitcoin goes to new highs so will altcoins and this is going to be the best catalyst for their rise.

People who invest in Bitcoin and see their investment go through the roof will feel more relaxed and more secure investing some money into unstable altcoins that most people treat like gambling bets.
If people see the price of bitcoin rising, they would go and invest on bitcoin instead of invest on altcoins. This has happened a lot of time. When the price of bitcoin starts to increase, we can see that most of the altcoins starts to lose their price. This happens because people starts to dump their altcoins and start investing on bitcoin. As more people shift from altcoin to bitcoin, the price of altcoin starts to fall, whereas bitcoin starts to rise further upwards. Though eventually at the late phase, when bitcoin has already peaked, the prices of altcoin starts to rise too, since people tend to buy back the coins they have sold but this time in cheap.

That's fine. It happens every time. When Bitcoin starts to grow it attracts new investors to the market who at first invest in Bitcoin and when they get enough profit turn to altcoins that present a more speculative investment.

When you have enough profit already so that whatever happens you'll still have something to brag about you're more likely to take a risk and lose some money.
