I really gbadu the awareness wey dey on top the matters now like this unto election, i dey read say INEC dey under pressure to postpone abi na extend the deadline for the PVC registration because the turn up of people wey wan register to vote dey very unexpected.
Yes oh, and as things be now, i believe say them go extend am, Inec Chaiman don come out talk say them go soon give us informating regarding extension of the deadline, the man also talk say so long as Nigerians go promise am say them go vote, say Inec go extend registration so that more people go register, and that everybody vote go count.

Make we hope say na like that wey baba talk am, na so the thing go happen, Naija don big pass to they rig elections, and i really get hope say next year election to a large extent go they free and fair, so make we no fear anything, and for those wey no wan vote because them think say their vote no go count, i believe say this time around go they different, so make we comot that mindset go collect PVC and vote next year cause our vote go count oh.

More and more drama about Mane and Liverpool like what happened with Mbappe now lol.
They always reject the proposals given by Bayern now and do not rule out Liverpool are still looking for opportunities to take the slightest opportunity to keep this player like him and they must follow PSG's way if they really want to keep Mane at Anfield and make a bigger contract so Mane is interested
Liverpool can decide to keep Mane in the club by trying to offer him a better contract in terms of salary and all, but one thing i know is that they aren't rejecting Bayern's offers for no reason or because they want to block the transfer, the offer Bayern is bringing to the table is well below the worth of the player in question, not to talk of some of the embarrassing add-ons they have included in it, there is no way Liverpool were going to accept that, and i am pretty sure Bayern very well know that.

If Bayern are serious about signing Mane, they better make a much more sensible offer, i think they are doing this on purpose cause the player has already decided to leave Liverpool, and is willing to join them, so they feel the odds of getting him is in their favor, but really Bayern should add some money to their initial offer and get this transfer over the line before another team steals Mane from under their noses'.

Chelsea losing Rudiger and Christensen is a big void that needs to be filled immediately with just Saar and Thiago Silva as options in central bank and Barcelona acquiring the services of Alonso they need more options defensively. That should be focused on regrouping their backline for the next campaign.
Yes, Chelsea actually have to sign a new center backs for next season, they seem short already in that position with the departure of Rudiger and Christensen, i am yet to see any rumors of any central defender being targeted by Chelsea or linked to the club, maybe Tuchel and his scouting partners are yet to identify a defender of their choice, but it is much better they get on with their summer business early, other title contenders are already stepping things up, and acquiring the players they need in the positions they feel they are lacking. If Chelsea must compete with City and Liverpool next season, then they must make good signings this summer, or else it is going to be a two horse race again.

Don't believe of those so called expert predictions since there's no guarantee their words will come true...
Don't even believe there are "experts", when one believes in the concept of expertise in the network, that is when they can even consider following whatever advice their "experts" gives to them; but if you do not believe in that concept, and you understand that every resource is available for you to do your research into the history of Bitcoin, and see the pattern for yourself, then you will most likely make the correct decision more often than not. I am pretty sure users who believe in Bitcoin are not worried by the dump at all. Just invest what you can afford to lose and remember Bitcoin is a long term investment as you hodl.
2445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you struggle learning about bitcoin? on: June 13, 2022, 11:21:27 AM
I also faced the same kind of struggles you are currently battling with, but i guess the reason was that i kept doing things wrongly then, trying to learn everything all at once, even when i am pretty sure that i am not tech-savvy, thus i just decided to go with the basics of Bitcoin, without delving into anything complex, and that was when i understood that i had been taking the wrong approach to learning Bitcoin, i learnt all i needed to know about how to use Bitcoin, how to store it safely, the best kind of wallets and the most secure of them, how to secure/protect my funds, etc.

Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulus is a somewhat complex book divided into different chapters, but mind you that it is not all of its chapters that are complex, some are easy to understand and should get you to understand what is very necessary about Bitcoin, it is even written in the book that:
Quote
Mastering Bitcoin is a book for developers, although the first two chapters cover bitcoin at a level that is also approachable to non-programmers. Anyone with a basic understanding of technology can read the first two chapters to get a great understanding of bitcoin.
So i can recommend that you read the first two chapters, and chapter 11 too that covers "Bitcoin security" which is a very important aspect for any Bitcoin enthusiast, this three chapters are easy to understand and will be of great help.

Chapter two:  https://github.com/bitcoinbook/bitcoinbook/blob/develop/ch02.asciidoc

2446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna 2.0 keeps falling on: June 13, 2022, 10:59:34 AM
Not only Luna 2.0 but also Bitcoin, Altcoin and Total Crypto Market keeps falling now. And Luna 2.0 will fall in this market condition, but the challenge now is to survive. And since people's trust in Luna coins has diminished, Luna bleeds more than other coin in the crypto market.
It is not the same thing, you are somewhat making a mistake, you cannot compare the plunge of btc with that of Luna, or any other shitcoin/altcoin for that matter, you must take into cognizance that most altcoins including Luna are pump and dump shitcoins that only pumped in the network due to hype, and quite a lot of them die when the hype is over, they dump and do not rise again, these are the sort of coins you sell the moment you make ROI or immediately they start to crash so you do not lose your money, because if you think of hodling it for it to rise again, then you'd be making a grave mistake.

Bitcoin is different, it has an actual utility and is definitely not a pump and dump coin, the price of bitcoin can plunge for the short term, but one thing is certain, and it is that it will rise again, it is a long term coin, thus Bitcoin investors aren't really worried about its short term movement, except of course for get-rich-quick investors.
2447  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: June 13, 2022, 10:24:17 AM
The biggest problem that we face as a country be say many Nigerians they inure to suffering, to the extent say them no care again, if you dash them ordinary 1k naira, them they ready to sell their votes give who them know say na bad candidate, that is the situation wey we they face now, i hope say that kind thing no go they for 2023, you no suppose they suffer they smile, that kind thing no make sense.

Another problem we get na im be say this aristocrats that are sitting on the wealth of this country so ehn, them don sell the idealogy to most of our population say Naija no fit better, that is why it is very normal for you to hear a Nigerian say "let us face reality", abeg which kind nonsense reality we wan face wey we never face for all this suffering wey they beat Nigerians, i hope say 2023, nothing like "make we face reality" go they, the only reality wey i wan they face now na to vote in the best candidate, make all this old men go rest, they have stolen enough funds from us already.

Abeg my people, no allow anybody tell you say Nigeria no fit better, with good leadership we can be better. And if you have decided not to vote, carry for mind say you follow for the problem wey we get for this country.
2448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 12, 2022, 10:18:32 PM
No Italian team is favourite for the Champions League title. The main reason for this is the lack of consistency in the performance of Italian teams. At the same time, there are not enough talented players in the team. If the Italian teams could raise enough funds to sort out their teams, perhaps they too would be able to compete for the Champions League title. Leading teams from Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus should form teams aiming for the Champions League title.
In the last couple of years, IIRC Juventus have reached the CL final twice (and lost though), i know they were pretty stronger then compared to now, and honestly they are very far from attaining that level of getting to the CL next season, except of course a miracle happens. But i second what you have said, no Italian team is favorite to lift the CL, but the reason is not hard to decipher, Juve were on another level some seasons ago, they were completely/totally heads and shoulders above the rest of the league, and they were the ones Italy looked up to as the Italian team to challenge for the CL, but now their form has dropped and teams like Inter and AC have come on scene and won the league even with little or no world class players, you do not expect them to immediately go and conquer Europe, it will take time, and a lot of quality signings to get them to compete in the CL.
2449  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: June 12, 2022, 08:15:35 PM
Go do your voter's card no be to dey yarn dust about election up and down, Good luck to Nigeria, and the growth we desire.
Na the main thing be this now oh, if you no gree do your PVC, or you talk say you no go vote next year, just carry for mind say you follow for the problem wey Nigeria they face so oh. You no go fit talk say you no wan vote, because if you no vote, you no get any right to complain when the bad leader enter as president. Make sure say you do your PVC, analyse all the candidates vote the one wey you feel say be the most credible one, i no go fit tell you who to vote, but na Peter Obi me i go vote, i don do my analysis and the broz na the best candidate; remember say the time don come for legit change to come for this country and na we go make am happen.
2450  Economy / Reputation / Re: I could be wrong but what if? on: June 12, 2022, 05:10:25 PM
That's very suspicious and I think it looks like all those accounts are being controlled by one person or group of people to cheat the campaign.
Isn't that what most bounty hunters do in bounty campaigns, not that i bother too much about that since they are more often than not newbies with no merits, and they really do not have anything to lose with their accounts, if they are caught cheating and tagged, they will still continue with the account most times because some of the bounty managers do not care, OR they would just create another account and continue till they are caught again.

The only problem i have with bounty hunters is when they post their spam outside of the bounty section, as long as it is in there, i really do not care. OP can try and find out more about all this and if they were actually cheating, and report to the manager, if he is a manager who is strict with the rules, then they will be removed and some users might tag them, but sooner or later they will create another account or join another campaign with another manager who does not check negative feedbacks and the rest. I guess that is why LoyceV thinks ignoring them is somewhat the best option here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5399966.0
2451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 12, 2022, 04:17:16 PM
Manchester city has always been the favorite to win in the European Champions league in recent seasons, especially with the arrival of Erling Haaland to the Etihad stadium, which will add ammunition as strong as Manchester city, especially as Haaland is such a prolific player, but problems arose for Manchester city when they reached the semifinals and also their finals are often difficult against teams from Spain and also Germany such as the defeat to real Madrid in the semifinals a few months ago shows that Manchester city is not a team with a winning mentality in Europe despite appearing so extraordinary from the preliminary phase to the semifinals, let alone they grab the trouble when facing Real Madrid
Yes, it is funny City are always strong contenders/favorites to win the CL, but they just let us down time and again, last season was no different, after a brilliant display/performance against Real Madrid, they still surprisingly failed to qualify for the final, and yet again let everyone supporting them, inclusing myself, down. I think i have to agree with City having a 'mentality' problem in the CL, they play brilliant football, dominate the games, but just when they should compose themselves and get over the line, they disappoint, it is crazy to say the least.

Haaland has arrived at the Etihad, further increasing their chances and making them top favorites for the crown yet again this season, he could actually be very pivotal, especially in the 18 yard box, there are times when City need someone loitering there, someone to finish off a good move, someone clinical, but is is most times lacking, Haaland could solve that issue, and who knows they could be champions of Europe this season, and break the mentality barrier holding them back.
2452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 11, 2022, 11:06:28 PM
The premier league title race next season looks like it is going to be tougher than we thought in terms of the number of teams that will actually compete for the title, at the end of last season pundits were already making conclusions that it is going to be a two horse race between Liverpool and City yet again next season, while it looks very possible to happen, i wouldn't be completely sure about it.

The big six are really going to strengthen their squad this summer, though that doesn't make all of them automatic title contenders, United for example are going to buy some good players this summer i am sure, but there is no way they are going to win the EPL. I think we are going to have a three horse race for the title next season between City, Liverpool and Chelsea, what do you think?
2453  Economy / Economics / Re: The EU economy is going down the drain...and the EU with it on: June 11, 2022, 06:25:06 PM
I am not from Europe, but i understand the problem to be a near universal one, small businesses (microeconomics) always struggle to get going at the beginning, either due to lack of funding/tax laws, etc, but it does not mean you can't still run your business in the midst of all this challenges. In fact, starting a business is always difficult, weathering the initial storm is what determines the level of success in the long run.

Having said that, maybe you could move/relocate your business to areas that have less stringent laws/problems that directly affect your business, you could also seek funding/loans to get you started, and to solve some of the problems you are currently facing; mind you also that all of those laws have and serve a purpose, it might be a pain in the ass for you, but it does, you should seek professional advice and take a decison whether to go on with your business plan/idea or not.

first of all bitcointalk  comes with discipline and lots of sacrifice and another major thing is if you not ready to learn from other people then you not ready to go far ,the major thing i notice is that our bosses are always ready to guide us. to earn you must put enough effort in doing more research.
To be honest, bitcointalk does not teach you discipline or sacrifice, those are virtues one learns in RL, from their families, friends, the situation and people around them, bitcointalk is just a discussion forum, and you do not have to be disciplined or sacrifice anything to hold discussion with other users here, just do not plagiarise/spam. You're correct about the importance of research though, it is pertinent to do your own research in the network, and as for other users' willingness to help/answer questions, that is what is expected in a discussion forum, the desire to spread knowledge so others can garner some for themselves too.
2455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 10, 2022, 05:20:32 PM
Reports have it that Liverpool are closing in on a deal with Benfica for Darwin Núñez, the bid currently on the table is said to be worth €80 million, with around €15/20m in add-ons, that is quite a lot of money they are willing to spend for the young man. I think Liverpool know they have to strengthen their attack this summer, it looks somewhat certain that Mane is going to leave, so Darwin could be a good replacement, but most importantly, their rivals City just got Haaland and Alvarez, so i am thinking Liverpool know they must do some strengthening of their team if they are to continue this rivalry, or else City are running away with the title next season.

Having said that, how good do you think Darwin is, do you think he is worth that price and how well do you feel he will adapt to this Liverpool team? Another thing is, we have to all agree that the big teams spend money to keep their individual teams strong, and that includes Liverpool too, but Liverpool fans always seem to accuse City of spending, like they do not spend money to get quality players too, it's actually funny in my opinion.
2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 09, 2022, 05:52:21 PM
I assume Erik Ten Hag will spend a lot of money on spending this summer.
Yes he is, but the thing now is, will United's scouting team get the right players, make no mistake, Manchester United have been spending a lot of money in the last couple of seasons with nothing to show for it, they are either not getting the right players for their team, or they are not getting the best out of the players, whichever it is, something has to change this time, the club can't invest so much and be paid back with terrible performances all season long.

Having said that, no matter the sort of signings they make this summer, i do not think they can with the EPL, and they would not bother too much if they do not win it, but what they must do is that the team must start competing and playing like they really want to win, if you watched United last season you will understand me, if they show fighting spirit in games and try to compete for the trophies they are in, then that is a sign of progress, then at the end of it all they must make sure they finish in the top four, and try to win one of the domestic cups, either the FA Cup or Carabao cup, if they achieve that, then it could be signs of good things to come in the seasons ahead.
2457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 09, 2022, 04:38:33 PM
AC Milan need to increase their ammunition to navigate next season if they still want to compete and maintain their Scudetto. Because their competitors are also now in the hunt for good players, like Juventus. Surely this will spread a threat to other contestants, including AC Milan. The competition in Serie A is getting more and more interesting, the league is getting more competitive where there is not only one team that dominates.
You are not wrong here, especially about the competitiveness of the league in the last couple of years, we have had three different winners in the last three years, Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan respectively, that is great for our viewing pleasure, especially for the neutrals, i hope things continue in this way for a pretty long time.

AC Milan know they have to do good business this summer, they would be hunting for more success after last season's triumph, they know they can't rest on their laurels, or else their rivals would be more than ready to take the crown away from them, i think AC Milan's biggest problem this summer is gonna be trying to keep some of their best players at the club, and ward off advances from bigger teams, it is going to be difficult to achieve, but if they do it, then they can make a few additions and they would be good to go for next season.
2458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Optimism got hit hard on: June 09, 2022, 04:27:04 PM
Don't know why people buy anything but BTC.  Grin
More often than not, the reason is for quick/fast profits, Bitcoin is a long term project and as such quite a lot of investors do not have the patience to wait for the long period, so they go after altcoins (short term projects). I am pretty sure 9/10 of investors that invest in altcoins are well aware of the risk involved, but they still go ahead with it cause of the chances of a short pump were they could make ROI. The thing is this, even if anyone must invest in altcoins, make sure you have no intention of holding it for long, if you are lucky to buy at the right time when the coin is just about to pump, sell once you get your ROI and leave the project, most of them have no utility, so they are not sustainable for the long period.
2459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Optimism got hit hard on: June 09, 2022, 02:32:39 PM
And for the Optimism project, their recent activities stands to create FUD in the community which is bad for business.
Of course, FUD and lack of trust go hand in gloves, that is the same situation with Luna project, after it crashed and all, the team have been trying to get the project back up in all sorts of ways, but i am afraid it is all going to be futile, the community already lost trust in the project and that means many investors are not going to buy it (lack of demand). And a coin/crypto without ample demand is more or less headed for the grave. That is the reason why Bitcoin is the way it is today, a greater portion of the community trust it to be a long term project cause of it has an actual utility, they (the community) know that irrespective of whatever happens (plunge/correction/etc) in the short term, it is always going to rise back up again.
2460  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Telegram scam groups Alert on: June 09, 2022, 02:14:37 PM
The main aim of this post na to share these groups with my brothers so as not fall victim of all these Telegram scams, because Scammers take Telegram as their home.
Thank you for the update, i wouldn't expect anyone to fall for this, but you never know with newcomers who do not do enough verification before trusting, TG is a very dangerous space for crypto newcomers, you get added to crazy groups (that's for newcomers who are yet to counter than through their 'settings') with crazy promises, not to talk of how frequently strangers send PM's to people, all just in a bid to scam them. For many of us here we know the trick, but unsuspecting newcomers that are yet to do their research and garner sufficient knowledge fall victim every now and then, and thus learn the hard way, just like you did in the past.

Having said that, i know quite a lot of us already know this, but for our newcomers coming in everyday, if you do not want scammers to add you randomly to their scam groups, just go to settings on your TG account, click on privacy and security, click on groups and channels, and change who can add you to groups to just people in your contact list.
