But I actually know that ICC is going to give the excuse of Afghanistan being controlled by the Taliban or Afghanistan not having a proper political situation right now. But those are not acceptable, to be honest. Bangladesh has never performed consistently ever since they received full member status in 1999. So it has nothing to do with "rough patches". In this case, their rough patch is ongoing for 24 years. And regarding the funding to ACB, ICC has asked the Taliban regime to allow women players to participate in domestic matches. They are refusing to do so and that is the reason why funding has been on hold for the last couple of years. CA and ECB wants the ICC to suspend ACB, but the Asian boards have prevented that from happening. I understand that Bangladesh hasn't been able to progress after so many years since their full status but in this series, they were not playing against strong teams like India or Australia. First T20 match between the two teams at Birmingham was a close one. Australia women's team won the match just in the last over making it an exciting finish. I am hopeful to see more close matches between the two teams and waiting for the next match which will be played on Wednesday 5th July at The Oval.
I was able to watch the match and since the beginning the two teams have been competing strictly to be able to score runs. If you look at it from the start, even though the matches were very tight and outperformed each other, it was clear to the Australian team that they were a little behind, but when they reached the end round, Australia seemed to have recovered and they managed to catch up to win. Well.. I can agree with your argument. Personally during the last one and half decades, I had mixed experiences with different sports venues in India (not just talking about cricket, but also other sports such as football and athletics). A majority of these facilities were well maintained, although crowd management was inexistent almost everywhere. But once in a while, the entire experience was ruined as a result of poorly maintained facilities where the washrooms were not clean and security arrangement was not up to the mark. I can understand that one bad experience can ruin your feelings and you may not be willing to go and watch the match live again in the stadium. (or maybe only in that particular stadium) @noormc5 luckily all stadiums I been around worldwide were clean and if you have a valid ticket then you can ask the toilet to be cleaned there is no need to suffer. Furthermore in a digital age if anyone encounters such toilets then all they need to do is upload the pics on Twitter and soon it’ll go trending and due to the fear of public backlash I expect stadiums toilets to be clean these days.
I guess we are talking about the facilities in Indian cricket stadiums. Well, I would not recommend uploading those pictures on social media as it may bring a bad name to the country. However, all three matches were held in Chittagong. It might have been more difficult for Afghanistan to win the series if it was held in Mirpur. Two T20 matches will be held in Sylhet. Match two is expected to be very competitive. Although Bangladesh won this match by 7 wickets, I would not count it a big success for them. Imo there is only one thing that is “you are going a bit far” in gambling - situation when you start to think how you gonna play back what you have already lost. Finally England able to book victory over Australia in j this Ashes series. Australia batting in this match was not too good like they played in previous two matches. I think England bowlers now find the key to take quick wickets. Harry brook inining was interesting one. The way he played was just like ODI. His fantastic 75 of 93 gives england score speed to chase target easily. Now Series is 2-1 and next gane will be interesting one and both team will be enter in the ground with new strategy.
