2481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Twitter Hack Alert - Don't trust it now! on: July 16, 2020, 11:21:08 AM
It is the side of Twitter with their loopholes for attackers to compromise prestigious accounts on their platform. On the other hand, such scam method is not new and it is applied from platform to platform.

The easy point to realise that they are scam efforts is people have to go first with some kind of funds. It is stupid to believe in such giveway that required mandatory deposits.

There are some past scams on Youtube later last year.

2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Both PoW and PoS algos are scams. Here's why. on: July 15, 2020, 01:25:59 PM
Hey OP I think you need to check this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5120117.0 to get educated of what you are blabbering about. You need to understand it first before giving a nonsense judgement about the POS and POW. there are already a huge number of investors who earned a lot with these new coins and many more are gaining some profits with it by holding these coins. Of course, there is some bad side but when you called them all scam that's not really true at all.
(GUIDE) Masternode, Node, Full Node / Masternode setup with screens. is a good guide on Masternode coins and should be read by people who want to learn what PoS/ masternode coins are.

Let me say some facts about most common accusations of newbie crypto investors on projects they invest money in.

They accused projects are scam because their investments end with losses or worse with serious loses. Reasons behind can be: made wrong enter and exit prices; believe in technology evolutions; believe in promising words from the others; don't do own researches.

If you are in crypto long enough, you will see people called Bitcoin is scam, Ethereum is scam, Dash is scam, Monero is scam. All projects end with loses in their portfolios are scam in their accusations that are not true.
2483  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Kucoin Futures - Trade Easier, Profit More! on: July 15, 2020, 12:04:04 PM
On June 24, 2020 which is today KuCoin, an IDG-backed crypto exchange, announced that its P2P Fiat Market added support for US Dollars (USD), meaning traders can buy cryptocurrencies like USDT, BTC and ETH with USD via PayPal and other payment methods. This is another mainstream fiat currency supported by the KuCoin P2P Fiat Market after the opening of Chinese Yuan (CNY), Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), Vietnamese Dong (VND) and Canadian Dollar (CAD).

If dont have an account with Kucoin open one now.

Source.
Kucoin P2P marketplace, I did not know it because I don't frequently use the exchange. I see the info that on Kucoin P2P marketplace, people can use Pay Pal as one of payment methods. How to solve if charge backs occur? Users can not protect themselves from charge backs. It is especially important if we know there are many sold / stolen Pay Pal accounts.

Do Kucoin exchange run whitelist on users who open accounts and use Kucoin P2P marketplace?
2484  Other / Meta / Re: Notification on deleted threads on: July 13, 2020, 01:14:36 PM
I only recently learned there is a difference between trashcan and deletion. I think (but I'm not sure) that deleted topics do give a PM-notification.

This can definitely be improved Smiley
I guess that reasons are:
- Topics are moved to trashcan probably considered as trash ones.
- From that point of view, there is no need to give reasons/ notifications (I do not know but I guess it is like that).

Creators who have topics are moved to trashcan can open a topic in Meta to appeal its recoveries.

Anyway, I agree with OP's request to have a notification when it happens.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 13, 2020, 12:50:11 PM
So as i can see GOLD is backed by physical gold, which is purchased every time a token is issued and stored in a secure vault in Singapore. It is convenient and safety if it's work exactly as it said. People put money in GOLD and can be sure about finances.
You can always check the total available physical gold that is owned by GOLD project on bullionstar.com. The post I quoted give you details to check it if you want. It is not difficult to check it.
Gold availability can be checked in real-time on the website https://www.bullionstar.com/myaccount/audit account number 17081.
2486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't be caught unaware on: July 12, 2020, 11:59:31 AM
invest at least 10$ in as much as possible coins that you can get that look promising to you.
Newbies are very easily to badly invest into projects that are told as very promising. Promising, how do you consider a project is promising?

It requires many things and you can not rely on the others to believe in a promising project. Such stupid belief will cause you to invest in that project. I don't care about the technology behind DeFi projects that are widely considered as promising, and also as the future of blokchain ecosystem and financial markets. Months later, maybe within a year or two, you will see how promising DeFi projects are.

2488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: (Compilation) What is the best Ethereum explorer? (already 21 reviews!!!) on: July 12, 2020, 02:49:36 AM
Please help me to figure out how to do this because the idea is good but how to make it real and really useful for our members?

PS
It would be great to leave the rating to the community, but it is complicated and I don't know if there will be enough votes from members.
TBH, the idea does not come from my own side. I took it from the List of useful Bitcoin block explorers (@1miau).

You are right that ratings on any forums, threads, platforms are subjectively and can be manipulated (we don't know but there are manipulations and distortions because of personal opinion or sponsored income).

The ratings, if you launch them, will be based on your own rating (at beginning), then you will leave a vote for community, and the average ratings from community will be used to calculate final average ratings for explorers.

Final average rating = ( your rating + average rating (from community) ) /2

Average rating from community will be calculated if there are 10+ rating vote from community members (less than 10 will be ignored temporarily).
2489  Other / Meta / Re: Paraphrasing/synonymize, is it ok? on: July 11, 2020, 12:14:53 PM
Why does paraphrasing happens?

Negative Side:
1. Lack of ideas.
2. In order to make your post smarter than others.
3. Post boosting
Lack of ideas or to become smarter than others are not reasons why people plagiarise something. They are lazy and want to get post counts for their bounties, campaigns or to build up a scam project with stolen ideas from white paper, ANN thread, website, and other documents.

Why do you think doing plagiarism can make one looks smarter? I don't catch the opinion.

To be helpful, you can translate good documents to your local language to help your locals, with sources and (if possible acceptance from authors). Do legit translations and don't plagiarise to make you look better.
2490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 11, 2020, 11:05:44 AM
You should as cryptocurrencies are the future of money  and any application/project built on it are likely going to succeed with it. The industry is still new and so is Goldstablecoin so the possibility of it succeeding is very high.
Blockchain, crypto, decentralization are future of human society that is what developers aim at and what human are looking for, except governments. It takes some decades for the Internet to change the world. There are some bubbles in Internet industry and its growth but after all, decades later it has changed the world and that is what we are enjoying now.

Blockchain technology is too young and it might take next 1 or 2 decades to actually mature technically and change the world.
Quote
The news making the wave currently is how stablecoins are freezing (blacklisting) the address of investors holding their token which just go against the whole concept of decentralized. But thankfully those aren't decentralized project but just centralized pieces of shit profiting from the hype of the blockchain technology.
The probability to see stable coins will be frozen still be there and it depends on governments somewhat. Especially important on how the law regulations will be mature in the near future to control the blockchain industry and crypto market. Beside that, the growth or blossom of crypto scam projects will do have their impacts of the decisions from governemts to tighten or loosen their law regulations.
Quote
In the soonest time possible people who realize the importance and benefits of patronize only stablecoins related project with integrity and a trustworthy service like that of Goldstablecoin.
Stable coin is a misleading term for people who don't actually understand its core value. If they don't know which assets are used to back stable coins, and don't know how to correctly assess the value of assests, they will under- or over-value stable coins.

As being discussed, stable coins are back by gold (that is also stored legally and safely in vaults) and stable coins are back by scam and inflated fiats are different in values, for now, for future and at the ends.
2491  Other / Meta / Re: Paraphrasing, is it ok? on: July 10, 2020, 01:31:59 PM
No, it is not accepted.

[TIPS] to avoid plagiarism. It is an old way to plagiarise and is classified as Text spinning/disguised plagiarism.
2. Intentionally plagiarism
2.1. Fake Paraphrasing
It is a lowest level of plagiarism when people usually change just a few words from original texts/ posts.
2.2. Text Spinning
They intentionally use posts of others, and over paraphrase them using softwares.
Text spinning/disguised plagiarism
2.3. Translation Abusement
They intentionally use posts or part of posts of other members, such as from English, then using Google Translate in order to automatically translate those texts into local language, such as Russian or any local language they want; and vice versa.
New sort of plagiarism

Ballet wallet, Listing on bitfinex and TikTok app. All of news were released recent days and it helped such a Dogecoin rising after months stucked in low price.  Grin

About TikTok app, I would avoid using it. TBH, I have never been a fan of TikTok, on website, and I have never used TikTok app.
Never heard about this and is literally hard to believe that even teenagers can be so naive.

Now they are pumping Doge using TokTok and with success because the price of Dogecoin spiked more as 40% in last 24 hours.

2494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 09, 2020, 07:42:25 PM
Yes. All bounty payments for June payed yesterday.
Thank you for all payments last 2 months. During last two months, payments are credited much earlier than previous months. Hours ago, I moved my GOLD tokens on GOLD marketplace and it seems the transactions need more time to process on both Myetherwallet and GOLD marketplace. It takes about 30 minutes to be fully processed on Myethewallet (with default gas) and maybe the same time to be credit from GOLD marketplace to my account.

I don't say its longer waiting time belong to Gold marketplace, indeed maybe something relates to Ethereum network again.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Both PoW and PoS algos are scams. Here's why. on: July 09, 2020, 01:09:44 PM
The Proof-of-Work algorithm and the Proof-of-Stake algorithms are scams. Proof-of-Work algorithm actually costs more than it makes. This is why every single Proof-of-Work algorithm crypto has to be supported with FIAT money, which honestly speaking makes them all hybrid PoW/PoS. Proof-of-Stake is a scam because it's just money backed with money.
Hmm. What leads you to the statement?

Scam is scam. Does it matter that scam comes from banks, real estates, stocks, bitcoin or altcoins? There are good and bad projects in crypto. Among bad projects, there are scam projects that are created initially by scammers and initial purposes of scammers are only scam investors and get a fortune to run away.

From what I see, fiats are scam too.  Cool

2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Institutional Investors Continue to Buy Bitcoin on: July 09, 2020, 11:48:39 AM
Institutional investors usually buy into stocks of promising corporations when they see and upsurge in activity or potential. This is based on the fundamental value of the corporation behind the stock.

For bitcoin, this fundamental value comes from the individuals identifying its utility and importance as an investment into a p2p economy where people value their privacy and see their bitcoin holding as a hedge against inflation plus unlimited money printing. If institutions are buying, it could mean they recognize the potential of being left behind when the demand for BTC grows steadily among people, including HNI's.

Could this be the scenario that custodian facilities are preparing for by hoarding to BTC at current prices?? If enough people start recognizing this and want a piece of the pie, economies of scale will kick in and the institutions will rush to service this whole new class of customers.
Bitcoin adoption has not reached to the level that can actually bring crypto industry and crypto investment to the whole generations of human over the globe. The adoption is on its rise but there are some restrictions from local governments. For whatever reasons behind, they love it, they hate it, they always want to control their local citizens and citizens' flow of capital as well as flow of taxes.

Regarding to institutional investments, they have to make lots of researches, technically, financially, and legally before decide to allocate their capital to bitcoin (at first maybe?) then crypto (at the very end). Fortunately, if they make decisions to invest, their capital will be big. Don't worry about market manipulation from them, it is the market and market has its operational rules as same as other financial markets. It is also a beauty of market. Wise investors will survive and get profits, stupid investors will get loses.
2497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 09, 2020, 11:13:59 AM
The different future should also happen because while GOLD token is backed by gold, USDT is backed by a pile of lies, hence I expect GOLD token continue to rise driven by gold's scarcity and governments' printing spree, while I expect USDT fail someday (of course, there are plenty of other USD-based stable coins to take its place).

I also see USDT (or GUSD or others) and GOLD as different categories. USDT is for every day quick transfer of funds and GOLD is for long term safe investment. Hence imho they are not so much in competition.
Scarcity, yes, it is what I meant above. Human can not print or mint physical gold. Gold resources on the Earth are finite and it depends on how human mining technologies will grow in the future to mine all physical on the planet. No matter how advanced the technologies will be, resources are limited, not infinite.

Not only printing can and will depreciate USDT in the future, in my opinion, but the biggest threat is in the missing money from Tether bank accounts, to really back it up 1:1 with the USD.
If there will be a black swan event, something happens and people will start to exchange their USDT to USD or any other coins/tokens/FIAT and withdraw from exchanges, we will see a massive price decline for this "stablecoin" because there is just not enough FIAT money in the bank to fulfill all their promises that every 1USDT is backed by 1USD.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/
The price chart shows Tether USD is almost stable compare to USD, recent 2 years Tether USD price has fluctuated in the range about +/- 3% compares to USD. Unfortunately, it does not take into account the inflation of USD in reality. Physical USD does not have scarcity as physical gold has. The US government can print as many USD as they wanted for. The pandemic proves that fact, fortunately.
Quote
Real gold, as we know likes to be the safe heaven in such breaking moments on the market, even better it tends to keep rising in price and add more value for investors. That is why the GOLD token is such a great stablecoin. Not only is tied to the real gold price, which likes to go up when there is the market bleeding, but also it's not so volatile and there is less probability that the price will collapse when people start to withdraw their funds because they are fully backed with real gold in the vault. Everybody can check the audits and see this in real-time.

These are the main differences between GOLD token from Digital Gold and USDT from Tether in my opinion.
Gold will keep increasing in the future of course despite of rises and falls because of market changes. Its general trend will be upward. In gold, upwards we go.

The info is off topic but if you have not yet noticed, payments for your works in June was credited 16 hours ago.
2498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 08, 2020, 12:33:35 PM
Now it is better to compare GOLD token with other fiat stablecoins like USDT. They are still direct competitors. During the year, the GOLD token price rose 25% against USDT. Moreover, with the prospect for the next 10 years, it is even scary to think about how much USDT will depreciate in the future,  due to central bank money printing.
Let me give you a round of aaplause and of course a merit for the post.

GOLD token and Tether USD (USDT) are both stable coins but they are backed by different assets. GOLD token is backed by gold and Tether USD is backed by USD. These two assests have different future. Gold has a limited supply based on available resources on the Earth (if human civilization won't find other planets to mine gold and increase total supply of physical gold). In the very opposite characteristic, USD is inflated by governments globally and USD real value will decrease over time that in turn will do affect real value of Tether USD.

I believe in the future of GOLD token and don't believe in the future of USD and Tether USD.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 60M$ Worth Bitcoins Moved to ETH on: July 08, 2020, 11:39:49 AM
With the DeFi trend in crypto, people still FOMO about the DeFi and any projects that are seeded with the DeFi word this transition of capital from bitcoin to ETH is understandable. The level of FOMO now is less than what people did in the 2017 or 2018 with ICOs trend and Dapps trend that was caused by the game Cryptokitties.

I wish that they will soon realize that in crypto, Bitcoin is the strongest and most solid cryptocurrency. Altcoins at the right time can help investors to get fast profits with high ROIs but most of time bitcoin is the best. In the long term investment perspective, invest in bitcoin is the safest way for crypto investors. They don't fall into scam cryptocurrency projects and don't lost their capital fastly to zero as simple as invest wrongly into scam projects.
2500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold on: July 08, 2020, 09:38:43 AM
And since gold is going mostly up and the fluctuations are not as high as for Bitcoin, gold is considered by many a much safer investment. And GOLD token makes it easier.
Clearer?
I guess that he worried about the legitimacy of GOLD token, not about gold price. The website and the white paper have good information for him. If he need something instantly to catch his eyes and attract him to spend more time with GOLD token, there is:
By the way we have great news! Digital Gold continues to move on. We issued 2000 GOLD tokens and added 2 kilos of gold to the BullionStar vault. Gold availability can be checked in real-time on the website https://www.bullionstar.com/myaccount/audit account number 17081. The total amount in the vault is 9200 grams of gold.
Let's check the legitimacy of GOLD token with the guide given by GOLD_official.
