Just like most things in Life, in trading there is the theoretical part and the practical part. Theoretical is just like the initial guide, especial if you are a newbie in trading, but the most important aspect is actually practicing.

You can never learn how to trade if you are not practicing and with each trade you open or close, you learn something. Practicing also means you have to deal with emotions which you don't experience if you just watch YouTube trading tutorials.
2483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you check the 200 day moving average ? on: March 20, 2022, 04:15:36 PM
In particular at understanding the 200 day moving average indicator when the market is at the verge of a major crash.
So what site do you guys recommend ? CoinGecko doesn't have this indicator, or any other I don't think, it's not a very good place for indicators and technical analysis I guess.
It's a good indicator, especially for long term strategies.

This is another article that might be helpful ----> The 200-Day Moving Average Strategy Guide

2484  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FYBIT | Cryptocurrency Trading Platform on: March 20, 2022, 01:52:48 PM
Hello. I also saw this discussion about Fybit, so I decided to create an account on bitcointalk and make an official Fybit thread. In this thread any user can get answers to any questions about platform from the official representative of the company, not from other users.
This being a forum, they can get from any available source, especially if they are inquiring about the legitimacy of a service. In this case, they need to get input from a third party or customer.

But what happened was a member pretending to ask about the service but later started shilling it with his alt account. More like a paid scam shilling service that we often see in here, and this makes the exchange highly suspicious.
2485  Other / Archival / Re: Husires - Abuse of creating duplicate themes on: March 20, 2022, 01:37:14 PM
Whoever reads the topic thinks that I do these topics daily. I started doing this about 8 months ago, it is 18 "duplicate themes"  with an average of 4 topics per month, locked topics, mostly in Archival with less than 20 views. Is this the spam?
It's not just spam, it's a complete mess, and you know it.

I quoted a few posts so that you see the mess for yourself. Posts that have members discussing or asking are having OP deleted but still open. Some that are intact and have a few or no replies are abandoned or locked, some moved to archival (which is OK). If you want to test your so-called bot, then at least label the title as "Testing" and be smart enough to move all your tested topics to archival, just like most members have been doing.

Quote
So you agree with me that they are locked and with 0 reply, right?
Where have I agreed with you on that?
Looks like you are not getting my point

Quote
As for the reason, it is because I move them to Archival manually, and to prove it:

Check the date the topics were created.
Ask the admin for my log-out date.

You will find that most of the topics that I have not moved, I logged out after that and have not logged in again for a while,
I had no idea, it's so hard to move test topics to archival  Shocked

Quote
Did you read my previous responses? I did not look for increasing views of my topics, check the total number of views and you will find less than 20.
.....
Did you read the comments above again?
Besides why do I need to do this, I rarely participate in many signature campaigns, and I am not active in the forum?
Of course, I read before responding... genius  Wink
Not participating in a signature campaign shouldn't be an excuse to spam or cause a mess in the forum

4. Assuming some 50 members did exactly what you have been doing, do you think discussions in the forum would be cool?
When we talk about discussion, we are talking about open topics, not locked one, mostly in Archival
You haven't answered my question.

I can see threads with deleted OP and replies plus questions but still Open, and then posts with intact OP but locked. Do you like such a mess?
How about we do it x50?

2486  Economy / Exchanges / Re: FYBIT | Cryptocurrency Trading Platform on: March 20, 2022, 02:44:55 AM
Notice

Shady exchange that shouldn't be trusted.

Uses shill accounts that;

1. Pretend that they are looking for a certain feature in an exchange.

Hello everyone, I'm looking for a platform where I can use the anti-liquidation feature. For example, I can add a new order to an open position, thereby changing the opening price of the entire position close to the market price, and thus moving the liquidation price further.

And the Miraculously Mr maks-ivanov89 another shill account just got one perfect exchange a few minutes later;
Try the Fybit platform, I trade there myself, there are no problems.

The same person then replies himself;

Once upon a time, both Binance and Bitmex were new platforms. I have traded everywhere, and I still continue to use Binance, but Fybit is a good platform in my opinion. It seems to me that this is a former Bitseven, very similar. And Bitseven was much more loyal than all the other major exchanges and they have never been hacked over the years of their existence.
I met this opportunity only on Bitseven, but I didn't hear anything about Fybit. Are you not afraid that they may be scammers, since there is nothing special about them on the network?
Too many signs indicate that this is Bitseven under a different brand. Therefore, I trust them. I also know one famous person who brings his subscribers to them, probably he also knows something. In any case, I do not deposit large sums there yet, I will trade further.
Thanks for the tip, I'll try fybit. The interface is very similar to bitseven)

2. Maxxx07 then pretends to inquire abouy fybit from the community, but this time the main aim is to shill further more

I was advised here on one very good at first glance trading platform, has anyone tried to trade on it and what do you say about it?
He advised himself...  Grin

When members advised him against using the exchange. Mr Maxxx07 was so quick to defend Fybit and yet he was still new to the exchange.
I have contacted their support team, they will have a mobile version available soon and the languages will be open. If you add a language not English but any other in the address bar, then you will have an error. That's what the support told me. It is very similar to Bitseven, which I traded for about a year. If they are, then they can be trusted no less than any major platform, despite the fact that it is not on the CMC list. I will try to trade on it. After talking with the support service, she inspires confidence in me.

It doesn't matter to me whether the platform is in the CMC list, because this site belongs to Binance, and he decides who to put there. I think how much money will be paid to Binance will appear in the list. Therefore, this is not an indicator.

And then in comes maks-ivanov89, the "suggester" of Fybit, replying himself (Maxxx07) again  Grin

I was advised here on one very good at first glance trading platform, has anyone tried to trade on it and what do you say about it?

I have been trading on the platform for a few weeks now, my impressions are very positive, apart from the fact that they do not yet have a mobile version available. I am a professional trader and have traded on almost all major cryptocurrency exchanges, so I can say this: 100% safe exchanges do not exist, a recent example from Crypto.com confirms my words. Safe only on a cold wallet, personally your wallet. If you keep your money on the exchange, then they are not yours until you withdraw them from there. A list, like CMC and others like it, is a purely corrupt marketing ploy, whoever pays the money will be on these lists. Therefore, I would not advise a trader to pay attention to security (almost everyone has the same protection, even the largest exchanges are hacked), and to the list of ratings. I have been testing cryptocurrency exchanges since 2017 and have seen many different projects. As you wrote in one of the messages above, what bitseven did when, for half a year, they were open for the withdrawal of all funds. Moreover, they themselves did a mailing to everyone, asking them to withdraw money. I have not seen this anywhere, and I agree that neither binance, bybit, nor any other platform will do such things, since I tested, including the support service of each platform. I talked with one well-known blogger who traded on bitseven, and has been trading on fybit since the first days, and is even actively involved in their affiliate program, he told me that this is a bitseven under a different brand, so if you tried bitseven and trusted them, then you can certainly trust fybit. And binance was once a new project, look at them now. The same thing in a year, fybit will no longer be a new project and they will have their own army of users.
They have a beautiful interface, fast deposits, and withdrawals, all the features you need for trading, the best support I have ever seen. This is what I can personally say about them after a few weeks of working with them.

Connection between the accounts

This thread lost credibility as soon as OP (Maxxx07) started defending a platform he initially "had no idea about”

Funny enough, another alt account @maks-ivanov89 just woke up and just jumped in the defending Fybit  Grin Grin Grin

I could go on and on, but this should be enough to highlight what I want to understand.

1. What's the point of all this?
2. Is it too hard to bump an old topic you want other members to view?
3. Is it a must to create the same topic every other month when you run out of content to post?
4. Assuming some 50 members did exactly what you have been doing, do you think discussions in the forum would be cool?

Until this moment, I have answered to all the questions, no one has proven that I violated Bitcointalk rules,

How about this?
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting topics in the local language boards if they're translated and re-posting marketplace topics in the altcoin boards if altcoins are accepted).

No?
2488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help With A Trading Question PLEASE on: March 20, 2022, 12:34:22 AM
<...>
OP is asking, probably because he's undergoing a job preassessment, At least that's what I understood from the other post, so no worries that he many be trading soon unless otherwise.

In spot trading this could have been easily answered, as there is a fixed percentage used by all the exchanges for this purpose and you can multiply the same with your position size but here the scenario is different, 1st of all maker fees and taker fees in these markets is different, if you are a market maker you get a big concession on the fees than being a taker. Second variable here is the funding fees of the market, it depends upon the volume in the Market and accordingly I doubt there could be any definite answer to this.
But the question has already been answered, have you had time to read through the thread?
2489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 20, 2022, 12:15:51 AM
When day trading at times. I leave some money in an exchange (Not advisable) but yeah I do for 3 reasons

1. I may have open positions that can't be closed until I realize profits. So one can not simply close positions just because they want to withdraw the money and keep it off an exchange during the hours they are not on computers

2. Open positions may require additional margin to keep the liquidation price for cross margin positions at bay. Again, the funds have to be nearby in the derivatives wallet
3. High withdrawal fees. Imagine doing this every day. That's some profit gone to withdrawal fees.

I keep most of my money in an offline wallet. Only the amount I use for trading remains in an exchange.
2490  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any mods reads emails sent about hacked accounts? on: March 19, 2022, 01:04:53 AM
Thx for the quick reply, my fault. I found answer from Bitcointalk. Thank you! I'll proceed as instructed.
Recovering an account is now much easier that it was in the earlier years since there is now a team dedicated to resolve such issues. Just make sure you have;
  • Access to the original email address of the hacked account
  • A signed message from one of the Bitcoin addresses you may have earlier on posted in the forum before the hack.
2491  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help With A Trading Question PLEASE on: March 18, 2022, 12:08:57 PM
HI Logfiles

I was looking at it again I Know pretty sad of me lol but the 74 Hours every 4 hrs 18.5 times.  How do you arrive at the only 18 times as it will be closed after this.  This is the little bit my small brain is struggling with.  Thanks Again!
The rollover fee is charged Every 4 hours, so If you close a position before the fourth hour strikes, you won't be charged the fee for that upcoming hour.

To make it easier for you, If we reduce the 74 hours to 7hrs.
Assuming you opened a position at 12PM UTC and will close it at 7PM UTC after 7 hours, with a rollover fee being charged every 4 hours. That mean you will be charged (7/4)=1.75 times, which realistically is 1 time.

From 12 PM UTC, after 4 hours, it will be 4PM (This is the rollover fee you will pay) then next rollover fee time will be 8PM way after you closed your position at 7PM. So you will pay only once, even if you closed your position at 7:59PM

I just can't wait to see his explanation and justification for crap he was doing all this time  Cheesy
I am very certain he is watching this thread, but won't come here to justify his actions because I don't see any realistic way he can defend himself.

What is disappointing is that most of those threads he deleted or moved to archival have some replies where members engaged in constructive discussions and could contain vital information that can be helpful to newbies, but all he cared about was merit points.
2493  Other / Meta / Re: Problem with plugin uBlock Origin on: March 18, 2022, 11:32:53 AM
It all started with this guy
1. https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/4074
2. https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/drmhuh/how_to_remove_ads_from_bitcointalkorg/

Ublock team messed and ended up blocking even signatures. Well, they certainly don't know that one can disable viewing signatures.

Another issue that came up was the problem you are exactly describing now. Notice how the filter appears only when a post with the word advertising is on top, but then the filter disappears when another post comes on top in that board?

mole0815 also noticed the same problem back then

I made a Reddit post complaining about this, but they reverted only the signature blockade.

I believe it's either because of the username (promo123) or the topic title (Peer-to-Peer Advertising, and Social Network Powered by Bitcoin + Stacks).
It's because of that word "advertising"
So the blockade comes up everytime any posting having the word advertising comes on top of any board when you have loaded the Bitcointalk's homepage

2494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help With A Trading Question PLEASE on: March 17, 2022, 06:28:03 PM
According to this article

This is how fees for a BTCUSD long position will be charged

Opening a $10,000 long position (I hope this is your total position size when the 5x leverage is taken into account) using limit order (Market maker) will mean you will be charged 0.16% if your trading volume was zero for the last 30 days

$10,000 * (0.16 / 100) = $16

Since opening a position with this order, you are also going to be charged the opening fee. According to the margin fees as listed for the BTC/USD market shown in the image I shared above, this fee is set at 0.01% and can be calculated for your order as follows:

$10,000 * (0.01 / 100) = $1

This means the total fees for the order (initial trade costs and the costs for opening the position) will be $17

Since this position will be open for some time, a rollover fee of 0.01% is charged every four hours. So for a position open for 74 hours, the rollover fee will be charged (74 / 4) = 18.5 which is 18 times since the order will be closed before the 19th time.

$10,000 * (0.01 / 100) * 18 = $18

So on closing the position after 74 hours at the same price. The trade fees for the closing order which is a market order (Taker) charged at 0.26% will be
$10,000 * (0.26 / 100) = $26

The total fees for opening the position, maintaining the position for 74 hours and closing the position will be ($16 + $1 + $18 + $26) = $61.

Because he would Lock, delete or move the previous post to Archival board before creating a new duplicate

I don't know what's his motive is behind cross posting the same topic in different boards; wouldn’t be surprised if that's solely for merits. People are doing lots of weird thing for merits these days LOL.

If I'm correct, there's a rule for such topic, isn’t it? I would love to see what Husires has to say here.
Maybe a rule against creating multiple duplicate posts, but given that he first locks, deletes or moves the other topic to archival board. I am not sure how it would apply.
2496  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: antminer.uk Review For SCAM - BEWARE OF THIS WEBSITE on: March 17, 2022, 03:42:32 PM
How on the earth I will know that this site is scamming?
1. Because official manufacturers like Goldshell, Bitmain, Microbt etc. have no mention them being the official partners or resellers.
2. Because almost all the hardware they are selling is at a giveaway price compared to what is shown by the official manufacturers. So how do they gain from selling hardware at lower than the official market price? Of course, to lure victims.
3. Because the most of the new hardware they claim to have in stock isn't even in stock in the manufacturer's site.
4. And negative reviews which you have figured out.

Quote
I just visited the site and I see very well designed and well managed site.
They scam each people $10K or 20K+ for each hardware they sell, So yeah, they can afford to hire a good website developer

Looks like it's a problem with your operating system, and it seems to be common with Windows 7. Can you please confirm what the title on the dialogue box is? So that we are sure it's not due to Electrum.

Like this dialogue box shows a pop-up error by Internet Explorer

Better still, you can screen capture the error messages and post them so we can help find a possible solution

2498  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tracking BTC transfers on: March 17, 2022, 03:01:56 AM
Does anyone know a good app for this?
Since you are dealing with Bitcoin transactions. I suggest you just your electrum wallet. It has an Option to add information or description about the incoming or outgoing transaction.

Just like in the image below

All you have to do is right click under the description area and then click on Edit description.

https://www.blockchain.com/explorer

Isn't Bitcoin Explorer enough to track BTC transactions from confirmation time and confirmation amount, BTC amount sent then information from sender address to recipient address information? I usually use it to track BTC transactions I make or when I receive a BTC transaction.

It's just an explorer, and you can't add the description of the transaction. This is not what OP is looking for.
2499  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: antminer.uk Review For SCAM - BEWARE OF THIS WEBSITE on: March 17, 2022, 01:51:02 AM
antminer.uk is a SCAM website
They also have google ads paid advertising: https://imgur.com/ezEEZg1 (don't even know how it's possible)
Google does not care if the site that appears on their adverts is a scam or not, so long as they are paid the money. However, I think there is a way of reporting the adverts so that they can get taken down, though I do not remember the procedure.

What I did was to use ad blockers such as uBlock Origin and not a single advert shows up in my search results.
2500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Help With A Trading Question PLEASE on: March 17, 2022, 01:23:41 AM
Foremost, different exchange offer different trading fee structures. Some even offer rebates for limit type of orders (market makers). You didn't specify the exchange you are using.

Also, funding rates vary from exchange to exchange and contract, and they change every 8 hours. One can not predict the exact value of the upcoming funding rate.
This is how it looks like across different exchanges
