2481  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What is in mind of those, who against vaccination? on: June 26, 2019, 10:24:42 AM
The most horrible is the fact that kids suffer form their parents ignorance

We are trying to make people aware of the damage caused by vaccination, but so many people believe the false figures pushed by big pharma, that it is an uphill struggle. America is the most heavily vaccinated country in the world, and it has the worst health of any developed nation. It also has the highest medical costs to attempt to cope with the damage caused by pharmaceuticals and vaccination.
2482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ready to sue the miners? on: June 26, 2019, 10:12:08 AM
I think we should sue the government - they are making people buy electric cars, and wasting good electricity that could be used to keep down mining costs. Smiley
2483  Economy / Reputation / Re: -1 rate ? on: June 26, 2019, 08:28:01 AM
Somebody seems to think you are selling an announcement bumping service. You will need to take up the issue with the poster of the rating.

You might get more help if you moved this thread to Meta or Reputation.
2484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Transaction Fees - Everything in one on: June 26, 2019, 07:43:33 AM
I see that a few 0 fee transactions have been confirmed. I want to try this to move coins between my wallets, so confirmation times don't matter.
2485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to post my articles on some big reputable new websites on: June 26, 2019, 07:36:02 AM
CNN is not new. Bitcoin Talk is big and reputable as well. Why not post them here.
2486  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The Jet Cash coffee lounge thread. on: June 26, 2019, 07:34:25 AM
I think Basic Attention Token ( BAT ) is a useful coin. It is community based, and rewards content producers, and those who are prepared to be paid to view selected advertising. It also supports the Brave browser with all its privacy and security features.
2487  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran shoots down a U.S. drone on: June 26, 2019, 07:21:33 AM
the US has much more to lose in terms of credibility,

Washington no longer has any credibility. When I heard about the mining of the Syrian pipelines, I immediately thought that it was Washington or one of its agents. Interestingly, they don't seem to have accused Iran of doing this.
2488  Economy / Speculation / I've stopped chasing the price. on: June 26, 2019, 07:17:08 AM
There are two factors that make Bitcoin unlike any other asset class. One is the buying of Bitcoin by bankers and institutions to remove coins from the market. The other is the collapse of the debt laden fiat system - who knows when "they" will allow that to happen. I suspect we will have a correction to allow for profit taking, and the shake out of highly geared bulls. The market is highly manipulated, so I can't guess when they will trigger that.
2489  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1,000,000 would kill bitcoin on: June 25, 2019, 04:26:50 PM
I still personally believe that Bitcoin isn't really meant for a micro transaction currency, and will be used mostly for moving high amounts eventually.

I believe it was created by bankers as an experimental project. The idea was to tap the wealth of talent available in the "open source" communities, and to use this to finalise their ideas for the replacement of the debt laden fiat systems. The high transaction confirmation times, and the cap on the issued coins meant it would never become a volume service for daily transactions. They must be really pleased with the way it is providing them with a new source of massive wealth, as they remove coins from the available pools. They don't need to try to regulate Bitcoin, they just need to own most of the coins.
2490  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1,000,000 would kill bitcoin on: June 25, 2019, 01:36:31 PM
The beauty of Bitcoin is that it is self adjusting, and it reacts to market forces. This means that it will never die. It won't even die when all of the available miners' rewards have been allocated. The higher the price, the more stable it will become in my opinion.
2491  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do you think Trump changed his mind over the strike on Iran? on: June 25, 2019, 10:13:56 AM
The latest moves to impose financial sanctions on Iran, seem to be a continuation of the plan to move the financial systems of the world over to Asia. I guess this is one way to lose the trillions of toxic debt that is awash in Europe and America. It's a shame that the $170 million that the drone cost wasn't used to repair bridges and roads in the US. Now that a drone has been shot down, I think we can expect to see more instances in the future, and the big score will be the sinking of a US aircraft carrier.

All these sanctions seems to create new alliances, and to strengthen the targets - Russia and China are obvious examples. Huawei will be the stronger for the free publicity that is is getting to confirm its technical superiority, and its sanctioning may lead to the demise of Google and Facebook.
2492  Other / Politics & Society / Why do you think Trump changed his mind over the strike on Iran? on: June 24, 2019, 02:58:28 PM
I don't believe that he ever intended that there would be a strike. The consequences such as higher oil prices, and a rising death toll meant that it was a bad political play. I think he understood this from the beginning, and he used it to test his so-called advisers and aids, and to help discover who was leaking information. He has also used it to help maintain his image as a kind and compassionate man.
2493  Economy / Exchanges / Re: coinbase pro question on: June 24, 2019, 02:34:10 PM
If you are trading BTC/USD, then the fees are in dollars. I trade BTC/GBP, and the fees are in Sterling.
2494  Other / Politics & Society / Is Libra a trademark? on: June 24, 2019, 10:42:53 AM
Don't they have trademark problems with the name "Libra"

I think FaceBux is more of a threat to PayPal than to Bitcoin. It isn't even on the same road as Bitcoin. I certainly won't be using it. I'll be using the new general banking system when it arrives, if I want to transfer fiat. That is if fiat is still in existence. I believe Bitcoin will be used for asset payments and not general purchases, although side chains could change this.

What a tremendous idea for a camping holiday
2496  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to fund a PORN? on: June 23, 2019, 11:25:20 AM
Making the video is just the start. Marketing and selling will probably cost you more than the video production, if you don't have an established site or outlet.
2497  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Investing in gold in 2019 on: June 23, 2019, 08:58:06 AM
They are going to shove the US dollar and the Euro under the bus. There is too much debt to try to preserve them. China and Russia have been buying gold like mad, so they may produce a gold backed currency. Government mints have been producing gold coins, and also changing laws to bring them back into payment systems. I believe that they will become the "cash" of the future. Their high values mean that only the rich can use them, and it will free them from the collapsing fiat systems.
2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attack on Bitcoin on: June 23, 2019, 07:37:45 AM
You can't attack Bitcoin by just using computing power. Any attack will come from bankers accumulating most of the available coins, and using them for their own inter-company transfers. This will make some of us rich, but inhibit the use of Bitcoin as a general currency imho.

I believe that running a full node with a protected wallet is a good alternative. This is especially true if you are accepting Bitcoin as a payment method. It provides real time monitoring of transactions.
2500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Need Help - Bitify Escrow System on: June 23, 2019, 07:16:34 AM
I think that anyone who is serious about trading, and accepts Bitcoin as a primary payment method, should consider running a full node ( pruned or otherwise). It gives you full control of your wallet and real time monitoring of transactions. USB drives are so cheap now that the cost of running a node is worth paying for the peace of mind you gain.
