2481  Economy / Speculation / Re: I speculate Tesla has sold their coins on: June 05, 2021, 01:02:07 PM
That should be the plan, even big companies who are purchasing bitcoin, people should not view it as if they will hold longer as we did. it's a company, they are in a business and as much as possible they would not take a high-risk asset in their account, so instead of holding it for the long term, they can just sell it for easy profit then buy at dip when they see an opportunity, it's very simple for them as they can affect the market due to their influence being a whale.

People keep forgetting these companies are not run by one or two people anymore but a whole board of directors,,, each with their own advisors.

These days you have to see and table proposals,,, then take it to vote,,, and then fight with those who disagree. And then you have to get legal advice on whether what you do is called manipulation.

This did not happen.
2482  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: June 05, 2021, 11:40:50 AM
I believe that Spurs would be a decent test for both Pep and Spurs, Mourinho versus Pep has always been a thing in the past and because Pep was luckier he got to richer clubs and managed to get a decent result, at least won the league and all that, Mourinho is now dropped as low as Roma which is not horrible but it is not a team that is fighting for champions league. We have proven that Pep is not great at champions league, he literally came to finals versus Chelsea, the same team they beat by a huge point margin in the league and the same team that lost to Leicester on FA cup very recently and they ended up losing to them in the finals.

If you ask me that is a good enough reason to fire him and get a new manager. At this point I know it would sound insane for most but I suggest Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa, I just believe in him too much, in a few seasons he can take this team to domination over Europe, but I have personal bias because I like him so much.

It would be a REAL test for Pep to see if he can actually manage a team without a big budget and only one or two really world-class players. He is famous for turning no names into big names at City but he still had a team of stars surrounding them,,, so very interesting to see if he can at another smaller club with tight budget and it does not get tighter than Spurs LOL
2483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading vs Forex trading on: June 05, 2021, 08:50:23 AM
It's like asking "which is more profitable? selling fruits or vegetables?".

Both can work(assuming you actually know how to trade in the first place), which is "better" and "more profitable" will just completely depend on the trader. On which asset characteristics will you be better at trading. High volatility vs low volatility, swing trading vs scalping, etc.

And like comparing forex and crypto as fruit and vegetable, vegetables is more volatile than fruit,,, spoils faster so needs to be traded quicker (again talking like a trader not a hodler).

People forget they need to set their expectaions and wants first. Like you said, they need to know if they want fast/slow trades? Short/long term?

Forex is fun because they can even earn interest overnight too for some people.
2484  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk of Inflation in Economy. on: June 04, 2021, 03:57:44 PM
Inflation is bad for economy and government busy to make unique policies to control the inflation. Also best way to reduce inflation is legalize the crypto which help the econmoy to hit milestone. Particularly in this widespread, the expansion is kinda difficult to control. Be that as it may, I figure with a reasonable approach and quick choice making everything can be taken care of well. It's truly vital to treat expansion as a genuine issue, inflation can be truly perilous for the nation additionally the individuals.

Inflation is NOT necessarily bad for economy, it can be useful in certain times to stimulate spending but of course it is highly inefficient and it tends to benefit the upper classes more than anyone else.

I think in my view,,, legalizing crypto will not help inflation. Only curing the ails of the economy can.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How i define scam project? on: June 04, 2021, 02:39:53 PM
It does not matter. my point was, if you have a use for it and you can also support the project, then by all means go for it. Then the price does not matter. For example if you used Steemit and you do not care about the price but want to use Steam dollars to boost your content, then at least you have something to use it for. Most alts are pure speculation, no utility this was my point.
But supporting a project does mean that the backer has some interests in it. Very few people would back something just out of pure emotional connection. VCs do that for profits because they have the skills to identify a possible profitable project from a non-profitable one.

I get your point but most of the users here have come to back projects to get paid. One of those could be by becoming a part of the project in future but I dont see that being the most common case for VCs or retail investors.

SBD is a good example for how alternative use to money can be obtained by using the same altcoin. This is lacking in most altcoins - an inherent method to develop a supply/demand gap. That drives the price and keep the market active.

Not necessary,,, I see community members as two distinct people.

Token buyers and Users.

Token buyers have a financial interest in it, but they are not even thinking in the same mind as investors (who do not buy the token but put money in the development).

Users of course would love to see a good price but a bad price does not stop them from using it. Think of Bitcoin as the easiest example. They do not see themselves as becoming controllers (unless you are Elon) but they are happy knowing they help make up the whole big Bitcoin economy simply by using.
2486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 90% chances if a coin is listed in Binance it has a good potential on: June 04, 2021, 02:02:10 PM
Umm,.. Nope. Instead, look for great coins that have great developing teams, follows the roadmaps on time, great community and of course, has great use case, purpose or concept that are NOT YET LISTED on BINANCE. In this way, you will be able to maximize potential profit every time there is a good news, new exchange listing or finally getting listed on binance. At least that is how most of the people do things most of the time. Even I do the same from my investments to the rewards I get from bounty campaigns. Hodling and before binance is what works best for me. Hope this helps. Smiley)

And I may add, projects who do not list also generally do not look to raise money (hence they do not need trading volume or price increase) and even do not focus on token markets,,, They just build and build and build and the growth of the users are what matters to them. This naturally puts markets in appreciation over time!
2487  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin's institutional hype is over? Adoption Slowing Down? on: June 04, 2021, 12:52:03 PM
I think it is safe to assume that we'll have to undergo another phase of consolidation and innovation (LN based applications), before Bitcoin can truly become independent of things like Elon's tweet.

You are right,,, and I know that most people speculating in Bitcoin never understood Segwit, then LN, and now Taproot or rather, never even cared about it. But these things fix a lot of issues and keeps making the core technology better and better. The real users understand this and this subtly goes to increasing value over time.
2488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on climbing challenges on: June 04, 2021, 12:17:24 PM
What will be the bets are based on though because that is crucial to my decision. If it's just a race on who can get to climb the fastest then probably there's no problem for me to bet on it but if there are some other mechanics like climbing with a style, probably I will pass.
First we need to look at how these climbing games are measured ? Do we have tournaments & games and those who climb quickly wins or there are other measurement tools. Since i don't follow these games, i wont be able to better guide on how the betting will take place in these games ?

As far as I know, the style is not important, or rather, people can freestyle. So I have seen even people climbing only with arms (usually this is the fastest so they just let their legs hand and use only their arms to pull up).

I think therefore the only qualification is to have real arms. Not prosthetics. I know it sounds funny,,, but it is true. If you ever watched someone with metal legs run?
2489  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Casino & Sports - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: June 04, 2021, 10:37:56 AM
recently come across 'Risk-Free' Bet for upcoming main event ( israel vs vettori ) , totally free money .. right ? as if israel lose in TKO , submission or any other ways , we sitll get our $50 back

Seems like it is,,, that is what is being discussed anyway:)

Israel odds are not as good as I would expect though,,, which makes me wonder if a freebet is really what I want to do here (or just bet it on the other way, not risk free but really good odds.

Israel will want to repay stake for their faith however:)
2490  Economy / Speculation / Re: I speculate Tesla has sold their coins on: June 04, 2021, 08:44:13 AM
I don't think he can legally post or even hint that Tesla sold their holdings until their earnings conference call. There is no regulation to how it affects the crypto prices because these are mostly unregulated however its affect the price of Tesla stock.

If he said he sold everything, one would assume that they sold it at a profit since a few weeks back he tweeted that they still were holding it. So assuming they bought at $32K and some at >$35K or so, it shows you how much new cash they rasied. Not much only 10% but from $1.5B its over $150,000,000 in profit for them.

He really posts weird tweets from time to time. I don't understand it either.

He has been doing things like a random boss thinking he owns everything, and he forgets he is not the actual decision maker or at least not alone in his company. Typical guy with huge ego,,, and wants to remind everyone how powerful he is. Hope he gets sued by his own company for dropping all these nonsense hints:P
2491  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: June 04, 2021, 08:04:33 AM
Fraudiola might get sacked if he doesn’t win the CL soon. How many attempts with unlimited funds does he need to win it?

He hasn’t won it without Messi.

Overrated manager, put him in charge of a team like Liverpool or Spurs with limited transfer budgets & let’s see how good he is.

Please put him in Spurs hehe,,, I am afraid now if we do not get Pochettino back we might get someone worse than Mourinho. Poch at my club showed his true value, and the same I always said for Arsene Wenger who both worked with clubs refusing to open the bank account to strengthen their ambitions.

I am afraid you are right about Pep, if he does not have expensive team below him I doubt he has the same success.
2492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin futures trading - looking for advice on: June 04, 2021, 06:40:53 AM
Actually for beginners I don't think it requires a large capital first. we must believe that tomorrow there is still a chance. with less leverage means educating us to secure capital. therefore with real trading will help us to face all pressures in trading, and over time we can increase capital but with logical achievements

Beginners should never trade leverage. Get your emotions right and your discipline heads on first on regular trading without margins. If you cannot make it in that arena then you should not even try leverage.

I hate those practice accounts people,,, you play with no money of yours at stake, of course you have no emotions. But when you see your losses in red, psychology takes over in margin.
2493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Meme Coin Will Survive Long on: June 04, 2021, 06:04:49 AM
Other than doge, my opinion if some of the recent hype meme coins have an actual use case with enormous community support, it might last for a long time, but if meme coins are just a pump and dump place, I don't think there is a future for this type of meme coins.
True, as has been seen from the past where coins that are only made for pumps and disposal will die by themselves when people no longer like them, and this is certainly very different from Dogecoin which already has a community even though the category is also included in the coin memes.

I do not think there is ever a time these coins were "liked" by people, just used and abused. Communities falsely made up. You can see now on Telegram the same thing as 2017 is happening and on Twitter the same,,, thousands of people joining a new channel/Twitter whenever the memecoin pops up on Binance or Bittrex. Waiting for their turn to get burnt.
2494  Economy / Economics / Re: We exited the bear market earler than expected on: June 03, 2021, 04:41:57 PM
I agree, people jump to conclusions too quickly these days, how can we be out of a bear market when we are not even out of the bull market to begin with? And even if the months that follow prove that we are not in a bull market anymore this is not going to prove that we are in a bear market already as we could be in one of the many moments in which the price of bitcoin just stagnates and does not do anything for months or even years until the next bull market comes.

Right? When prices are still almost 2x ATH for BTC and more than 2x ATH for ETH,,, how can we say we are in a bear market. New defi pools popping up every day, new IDOs launching left and right.

This is so much similar to 2017 that we cannot ignore it. Bear market coming yes,,, but it is NOT here yet:)
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How i define scam project? on: June 03, 2021, 04:02:23 PM
Bitcoin is the same! If I could not use it, if I could not benefit from it other than trading, I would stay away.
Bitcoin is different on the other hand and we are talking about shitcoins on here where theres no relevance or actual usage into their existence.

When it comes to selection of projects that you are tending to engage on then there are several factors that you should consider.

Relevance and not to engage with copy cats should be put up in mind. Choosing projects is hard as hell but using up your own common sense
and bit of research would do the job.

It does not matter. my point was, if you have a use for it and you can also support the project, then by all means go for it. Then the price does not matter. For example if you used Steemit and you do not care about the price but want to use Steam dollars to boost your content, then at least you have something to use it for. 2496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 90% chances if a coin is listed in Binance it has a good potential on: June 03, 2021, 02:46:15 PM
Binance is the first exchange that comes into people's mind when looking for crypto exchanges, so yeah, it has successfully pretty much built a super good-will of its own, so any project that gets listed there surely won't be a scam coin in most times, and hence people trust and invest their very much valuable money in the newly listen tokens since no one wants to be missing out on profits. So the initial pump that happens is because of the good-will of the exchange in my opinion, what happens next is totally dependent on how much value the token/coin actually has in reality I guess Smiley

Most people but not all. Some people and rightly so,,, still see Binance as the biggest monopoly in the market and should be careful of them. Remember when everyone thought Mt Gox was the biggest and the best and everyone los ttheir funds there when it "got hacked"?

Just remember the same could happen one day to Binance.

And about Binance listing? They have had very bad coins. I would say not 90% but maybe 20%.
2497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever become a widely adopted global payment solution? on: June 03, 2021, 02:04:53 PM
PayPal has already integrated it to its platform. Visa and Master are exploring the possibility. So I would say that we are on the right track. The cryptocurrency puritans are not going to be happy, because PayPal is probably aiming for a hybrid approach between Crypto and Fiat. For payments, cryptocurrency will be first converted to fiat before it is transferred to the merchant. I am perfectly fine with this, but some of the oldies here would be horrified at such a possibility.

But who cares about Paypal? Did you read that one of the contributers to Tor project suddenly had his Paypal frozen? And the company did not give him a single explanation about it.

You can read a thread about it here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5341553.msg57146715#msg57146715

Not your keys not your coins no matter who the person accepting BTC is.

By clicking on the link, you will also find bets on other scenarios (Top 4, Top 6, Not To Finish In Top 4, Relegation, Not To Be Relegated, To Finish in Bottom Half).

Thank you for this:) Definitely if I am going to throw even more money away like I do almost every season with Spurs, I will put some in here. At least if I unexpectedly win it will be big, and it will be at the end of the season.

Also I think it is funny now to see the biggest odds for winning is only 500x. Bookies learned from 5000x of Leicester season never to give such high odds I guess!
2499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: June 03, 2021, 12:10:33 PM
These small bets are ok if you trust the other person but issues can always arise and with the price of bitcoin able to double or lose half it's value within a month so it's a good idea to collect the funds in so people don't run into issue further down the line. Many people will have every intention of honouring their bet but just might not be able to if the price rises significantly or they run into some personal issues.

I agree. And I guess especially with some users with past history of lapse in activity and also security issues,,, just to be extra careful. Personal life is always true for everyone of course but money has a bad habit of making things more difficult:)

I really just hope he's fine and healthy.
i remember him saying in another thread a while back that he didn't have time to post in the forum anymore which is why he stopped wearing a signature though he was posting very sporadically, but then he came back and applied to a sig campaign and started being active, but seems like he went awol again  Undecided

Me too of course,,, he seemed always to have issues in the past and none of us like to wish someone bad but he needs to really solve his issues before taking on these things that can hurt him in the longterm.
2500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can good news impact crypto value without whales? on: June 03, 2021, 10:43:58 AM
This method will work if you enter at the right time, if you are late and invest when the price is too high then the whale will destroy the value of the coin making it worthless.
try to go against the grain once in a while and don't expect anything miracle.

That's the risk with going for a speculative altcoin though. You are by definition speculating,,, and hoping to get in at the right time. Have fun, sure, make profit and enjoy, but also be aware that eventually you will buy a losing trade. Much better to keep your eggs in Bitcoin and strong alts for the long term and go live your life without looking back over your shoulder every time on alts like these.
