Soccer Blackjack October 5 2021 -  Game #202: Lincoln City vs Sunderland

https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/sportsbet-specials/daily-specials/soccer-blackjack/lincoln-city-f-c-sunderland-afc-615b58364be333260f87d3ee

This game I am very unfamiliar with so I cannot say how the outcome will look like,,, but I am putting on it myself a smaller bet than I usually make because Blackjack tends to be very random sometimes even low-score teams can suddenly get many cards/corners!
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: October 05, 2021, 10:05:09 AM
Good on getting as many you had correctly picked cause the vegas ones are very unpredicitable.
As you can see from the Kevin Holland fight going no contest. And he did ask for a rematch, so matches like these when something so flukely can happen is really impossible to foresee.
The next UFC event to look forward too is nearly a whole month away with Blachowicz vs Teixeira in Abu dhabi.
Title fights like these are always a long wait away.
So look out for the next one in vegas for the weekends.

What are the odds of a no contest happening in UFC, is this usually something that happens a lot because in tennis also it seems every tournament there is a few walkovers or forfeits.

And more interesting is to see if anyone is an expert at predicting those and if you can actually bet on that outcome  Cool

One whole month away is a long time to wait so luckily we have Vegas cards!

Nice share Martin Wink I guess this is beginner level for Brazil!

I almost totally forgot we have Nations League football and IIRC correctly Sportsbet used a lot of specials.

By the way has something happened to Clubtalk "Special Offers" tab? It no longer works and I used to use it to keep track of all the specials like Blackjack. Now the last post there was a brighton vs Arsenal Superboost.

I see in main channel there is update but you can lose track of it if a lot of people chat and the promo is pushed out.
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: October 05, 2021, 09:02:02 AM
after almost a year, there are semi-finals in Nations league, with two matches:
Italy vs Spain - tomorrow in Milan
Belgium vs France - Thursday in Turin

both matches could go on any side, but I expect Italy to be under2.5 goals and Belgium to be over2.5 goals

I mistakenly thought this was World Cup qualification games actually, since the teams are all the same in Europe and no idea we are back in Nations League. I wonder what happens to this format if the new World Cup proposal is accepted where it would be played every 2 years instead of 4!

I back Italy and France for this one. One to extend their non-lose streak and one to regain confidence.

That match was apparently incredible to watch as it kept showing how City tried a different tactic and yet PSG seemed to be able to beat them rather easily,,, Leipzig is not City however and play almost the same style no matter the opponent as they are as most football teams are, with an identity and a small size of squad so they cannot get creative and experimental like City can Wink
Usually, when a big team plays against a big team, the big team will play more seriously and carefully, so the result is quite surprising because City are not able to score goals. Although indeed, I don't see Leipzig as a mediocre team, but because their performance so far has not been optimal, it is possible that when against PSG, Leipzig may be more careful and more focused because of the failure in the previous two matches. I personally still can't predict PSG will win easily, because of the recent results PSG also lost easily to a mediocre team and it became a reference for me to avoid betting on PSG matches.

It was a surprise yes but not a big one,,, as I said and as all Pep Guardiola fans know, he is a guy who likes to experiment with his huge squad. It is a nice compliment of course to see them play so well every game no matter who they put into the lineup, for example against Liverpool again they tried different things and again without a true striker, Grealish playing with Foden on the left.

And last season they showed as well they have a problem at some days to score goals because they keep using wingers and midfielders only.

And Rennes is not a mediocre team though, they won majority of last 10 games with PSG Smiley
1526  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-10-02] Bitcoin investors 'no longer fearful' — watch this BTC price level on: October 05, 2021, 07:08:17 AM
And when everyone is letting go like firesale (last year first few months), then Bitcoin loves to prove them all wrong.

Of course the point missing entirely is that the majority of serious investors have never been fearful. Why would they keep buying if so?

This is because many of those social media influencers are either permabulls who want more followers or they are paid to shill many different coins. It is a scam, they are not real traders. Real traders do not shill because they are profitable already. Shills only want more followers because more followers will give their accounts more profit.

Real traders do shill IMO,,, usually themselves or their trading abilities or their signals. Or they pile on the shill on pure pump and dump coins to back up their regular trades with fast profits.

Seriously,,, I respect regular traders but now some of them are even getting into Defi and pretending the same TA they use in BTC also works there (of course it works now).

There is no fear there now sadly, just more and more greed to make free money.

Yes it has been incredible to see Leo Messi scoring in the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City at the Parc des Princes last week and finally winning 2-0. Next week PSG will play against Leipzig again at the Parc de Princes, I hope they will be able to achieve the same feat.

Watford's deal with Claudio Ranieri has been signed and sealed. He would be the new head coach of Watford. It was quick but I think they made a great choice because Ranieri has a really good track record (helped Leicester get their first EPL title win in 2015). Watford just have to give him time to work things out with the team since he's actually a really good coach.

That has to be good news for Watford,,, finally someone of a high caliber to lead them. I guess the only small problem here is that he is the head coach and not the manager, which in clubs these days become very important as it gives them full squad management tactics but not a single power to decide in buying the actual squad members.

EPL gets stronger every day!
1529  Economy / Economics / Re: US with problems to raise the debt ceiling... again on: October 05, 2021, 05:19:11 AM
The value is good for you, because you are comparing it against your local currency which has inflated even more than the USD has. Sure, USD hasn't undergone hyperinflation like some currencies such as the Zimbabwean dollar or the Argentinian peso, but it has still devalued pretty rapidly. 30 years ago a Bic Mac meal would cost you around $2. Today you can't even get a medium fries for that much.

This phenomenon is so bad in many parts of Asia in more and more countries already people are happy to accept US dollar even though it is not legal tender,,, I can say in Thailand and Vietnam even you can get a discount on items if you use USD, so it even makes sense for more and more people to hold USD bank accounts (yes, most Asian banks give you the option as far as I know) instead of their own fiat, regardless that it is actually NOT legal tender. Such is the sad state of fiat in this region. India is so proud of their currency but they are as well suffering from inflation you need more than 100 rupees for coffee (less than $1). Nobody uses the coins anymore.

Funny how USD works outside. I checked prices. $2 30 years ago would get you KFC meal (no McD yet in 1990 in my place) AND some change. $2 today still gets you that but no more change.

Local currency on the other hand, it has become over 3x the price.

Min wage has stayed 40 years and wage increase is <1% a year.

when debt, deficit, federal reserve balance sheet, etc., are all already at an all time high and are all continuing to increase more quickly, you have to question what the end game is here.

We ask that all of the time here as well. And economists have answers saying progress is more important and tell us all poverty is going lower and people are healthier and more educated etc.

But what is the worth of "health" and education and longer lifespans,,, when you live in debt forever, we are almost all renting rooms and not houses, and even afraid to have children because we cannot even feed ourselves.

The end game is so disastrous and yet,,, we may all be dead before it happens.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 04, 2021, 05:22:59 PM
Ranieri rumours of taking over Watford for the next coach 15rh coach in ten year.

Honestly if Watford was not supported by Sportsbet for 2 earlier seasons and now by Stake, I would never really know them. But they seem to be firing managers so quickly and not realizing the mistake they made. Chelsea can afford to do this because they can also buy big talents but you cannot just change and demand instant results.

OTOH if Ranieri comes true,,, this would be pretty big for the club.
1531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Show me you're ethereum price prediction. on: October 04, 2021, 04:19:24 PM
We are back again in 3100 now so I would prefer to see it stay this way this entire month, rather than go back to 4k and fall back again below 3k,,, all the interest is still in defi coins now though.
When Bitcoin price fell, Ethereum was still high which I was surprised that Ethereum was able to resist the force that always draw altcoins whenever bitcoin price falls or rise. Now bitcoin had gone up and other altcoin had follow the attraction, but we can see that Ethereum is still trying to meet up with the other coins that are surging now. Maybe Ethereum is trying to gain and momentum to surge high again to the moon.

Should not be surprised anymore,,, more and more times now we see Ethereum going through its own market path. Sometimes intensely in the opposite direction from BTC as we saw this year. And even when it did follow the overall crypto trend, it was able to make more gains/losses than BTC itself.

Alts now even follow ETH rather than BTC, especially for ETH-based defi.
1532  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on a recovery mode on: October 04, 2021, 04:08:23 PM
We're back to the window which is the area for where volume and price can be as it moved too fast to record especially.   It can be a form of resistance by itself as an area where the selloff began.
I dont expect us to go straight up, every week usually puts us through a cycle where we must begin on Monday with orders waiting from main markets.   A sign of caution due is the 200 day average now falling, we have some reason to doubt every rally completes and resolves upwards.

I think also that a lot of people would be disappointed that 50k was not reached,,, and we must take note the natural deadline for a lot of people might be today (instead of 30 September) that traders were willing to wait and see. They are now probably just letting go and taking fresh positions or looking for a bargain at 45k,,, to make it "easy" 10% when 49k comes again.
1533  Economy / Economics / Re: US with problems to raise the debt ceiling... again on: October 04, 2021, 02:58:08 PM
What happens now if US becomes Greece? Can they save themselves?
The main difference is that Greece have no direct control of their own money since they use the Euro. They can't just print more at will like the US can with the dollar, so their only option was sweeping cuts to get their deficit back under control. The US can go the sweeping cuts route, or more likely, just continually raise the debt ceiling and print more USD, but obviously at some point, that become untenable. When is that point? Who knows.

I totally forgot about the euro actually,,, as I have never been there I still actually cannot practically imagine many countries using one single currency when they each have different rates of goods (like in Asia many similar things were proposed but because things cost very differently in different countries it posed a problem for us who should give in, to make price equal).

I always found it strange that US dollar can keep inflating supply but value actually is pretty good.

So for example my father said 1 dollar 30 years ago (I did not even know about money then I guess),,, 1 USD was good for one big lunch at a local store here. And the exchange rate was very small to our local currency.

Today 1 USD still can buy a big lunch, but the exchange rate has blow up to our currency, so we locals struggle with price increase but you could bring the same dollars 30 years ago today and live well, just as that time.

Judging from this, I would say US are unafraid to print more because outside, people still value their fiat more than majority of other countries in the world.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 04, 2021, 02:02:42 PM
If a player is unhappy in a specific club, he will unintentionally play badly for them. So That's why I think the clubs should consider selling players that are unhappy, otherwise, the club is only hurting themselves.

Here is where I disagree,,, professionals who are true footballers will give their best all the time. This is the mental value of these great ones who play their best no matter which shirt they wear.

>1 It makes your value go up.
>2 Your club and fans have no ill feelings to you and less reason to give you less than what you deserve.
>3 You also do not feel guilt for throwing games away.

Enjoy them before the retire!
Both Messi and Ronaldo scored in the Champions League. They are both awesome players, Ronaldo has won games in the finals in both international and club competitions on more than one occasion. Messi is the kind of player that runs the game, creates opportunities for others to score and then scores himself. As I am not comparing them, I have just focused on enjoying their game play. When these two legends retire, the football world will lose its magic.

Agreed 100%! And to whomever who would like to continue arguing which is better,,, than it is their loss as they will forever be caught up in one guy and miss out on the beauty of the other. These two cannot be more different and yet live and breathe in the same air as us all, for that we should be greatful.

My wish is still to see them play together on one big final season stage, and show the world how wrong it was to choose one or the other Smiley
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 04, 2021, 12:18:30 PM
Lazio didn't play bad but they were unlucky. Bologna used chances better than them and deserved to win the game. Napoli beat Fiorentina and stayed at the top. Roma also won, now we are waiting for Milan game. Interesting odds, it looks like bookmakers see Atalanta favorite. I would play both teams to score for this match. I don't think Milan will be quiet, Rebic, Diaz and Leao will be in the pitch. Atalanta is already the favorite so I think they will score at least one goal. Zapata, Malinovsky and Pessina will play. It could be an open game by both teams. I'm expecting a great game for fans.

Football is round they always say right? Spurs beating City on several occassions over the last season was proof of this that you did not need to create chances or be better in possession, you must just simply make the most of the few chances that fell to your lap,,, in which case Bologna was able to.

Anyway, a great game for everyone, and a shame for me as I picked 2-2.
1537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Robbery on: October 04, 2021, 12:02:31 PM
Get a Second phone. Most people only owns one smartphone at a time hence there's a high chance the robber wouldn't be able to think you have another one. Worst case scenario is if they thoroughly check your bag (get a bag with secret pockets!) although IMO most robbers are in hurry and so I don't think this is something highly likely.

If you can, leave your main phone at your house. That would provide better security.

Nice idea I never thought about this,,, in fact a better idea might be to have a second phone but also make sure you have another BTC wallet there maybe with a small amount,,, or a fake account on a crypto casino you do not use at all. Just have a balance there from faucet or whatever and so if you are ever robbed you can show that yes you have BTC but only on casino and you gamble most of it (or show the fake wallet with small balance).
1538  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-10-02] Bitcoin investors 'no longer fearful' — watch this BTC price level on: October 04, 2021, 10:55:38 AM
In the cryptospace, when investors begin to larp that they are no longer fearful? It might be the best time to begin to be cautious, I reckon. That article also mentions Michaël van de Poppe? He is a shill and it is very doubtful that he invests in the coins that he shills in social media.

Totally agree. For some weird reason,,, when the entire industry and market is positive, things go down (look at the past few months for example of people talking about new ATH coming soon).

And when everyone is letting go like firesale (last year first few months), then Bitcoin loves to prove them all wrong.

Of course the point missing entirely is that the majority of serious investors have never been fearful. Why would they keep buying if so?
1539  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Pandora papers <== They said Bitcoin was used to avoid taxes! Think again on: October 04, 2021, 10:13:51 AM
Thank you for sharing but I think this is not pro or anti Bitcoin, or even fiat,,, this is just people in power being people in power. Greedy,,, corrupt,,, wealthy beyond what they are supposed to be and not paying up tax like us regular people.

They did it in USD maybe or euro or swissfrancs or whatever but if someone told them there was a way to get even less tax by converting to Bitcoin they would. And soon with more banks accepting and understanding BTC soon they can mix dirty money with it too.

That will not make Bitcoin any better or worse Smiley

There are some workarounds that can help you. For instance you can watch the thread and see it pop up on watchlist every time there is new post.

You can also use telegram notification bot. I am using one from tryninja and it works great. I get notifications on telegram every time somebody quotes my post or mentions my name. You can also set it up to track any word maybe even phrase but that is newly added function and I did not try it yet.

Thanks yes other people have suggested this also and I agree there are great ways but it is hard to explain my computer situation I know about them but they are not implementable fully because,,, I do not have a computer Smiley I have a browser access that I get something like every 60 minutes and then not for 60 minutes (I have a random stagger shift at work,,, hard to explain!!), and I use the free time in between to check the forum. But I only log in temporarily and leave it,,, and then come back around the day until time to leave.

Only on my phone I truly have all-time access but as I mentioned not actually easy for typing like now.

All are excuses I know but for sure I will "manually" remember this, I am just new to this pool this is all:) Like EPL pool in my first try I forgot picks many times Smiley
