I don't think people understand. There are so many people financially invested in this coin from numerous pool owners, exchange owners, large whales, small whales, developers, etc, that it's literally impossible to lose on this coin in the mid to long term.
Some guy above was trying to claim that since some pool owners bought a bunch of coins, it had to be a scam. You don't think pool owners invest in cryptocurrency too? wtf? The pool owners are probably smarter than you and know this coin is guaranteed to be pumped in the near future after wallet release. It's also impossible that a fixed stake wallet won't be released. They were just trying to fix it to adhere to the current chain.
Even if Mogonzo and everyone he's ever talked to in his entire life was simultaneously ran over by a bus, we can have an exchange like Mintpal facilitate the wallet changeover by having everyone deposit to their old blockchain address, then using their accounting to credit you to the new chain without even having to debug the old coin while we keep up the old chain using the multipool till all transfers are done.
This is honestly the option that should have been done in the first place. If tomorrows beta succeeds, then fine, if not, then we need to immediately move to this.

Could somebody please help me? After restarting my pc and trying to start Blackcoin wallet again I recieve this error. I backed up my wallet.dat already and tried re-downloading the blackcoin wallet but it gives me the same error again and again. http://imgur.com/hrVF51dGive it one more try. If I remember correctly, it has a bug when you run it for the first time. Second time works OK. or windows copatybilty mode to xp ^^ Already tried that too. I know enough about pc's including the list of default trouble shooting options but nothing about my pc has changed aside from one restart (which happened every day mind you) I already tried running it in windows xp mode, in admin mode, did another restart same thing, downloaded the new wallet, same thing etc etc. Ctrl + Alt + Delete, kill all blackcoin processes, retry. Has worked for others before.. Wasn't that either and I already tried that, not everyone has the computer intelligence of a 80 year old you know  But it's fixed now. share final solution then |

You are right. WC has a strong community backing. WC is likely to recover as BC did from similar mishaps. I have been around this game for awhile and own a good amount of WC. I won't spread FUD but I already have my next few moves planned out as I hope all smart traders do. I will say I am betting on WC to make a come back fast.

WhiteCoin had doublespend attacks while NOONE was staking, because staking didn't work and they were waiting for a new wallet. So yea, if noone is staking PoS is insecure, like PoW is insecure when noone is mining... but WC isn't a pure pos, i read about a vulnerability about pow/pos hybrid where the attacker take on the pow part Its supposed to be pa pure clone of BlackCoin, so PoW/PoS hybrid for the purpose of initial distribution (about one week) and then forked to pure PoS. The problem you are talking about is the problem rat found with MintCoin where PoW could be exploited as the coin moved to its PoS stage, but kept the PoW protocol (at least I think thats what happened). White was just cloned badly, so their staking code wasn't working. Noob dev cloned some coins without any knowledge what is he doing and in reality WC NEVER HAD POS... and till i am writing it doesn't have POS working there is only POW without any reward that is problem. Without wallet fix WC is POW coin all the time there is no POS and there wasn't any so far. Problem which WC have is POW problem not POS. New Dev team is fixing wallet almost 5days...that is issue... It was too long and attackers took advantage of it and made 2x spend attack. Lets Be More Proactive
Let address the elephant in the room. Some are concerned with the recent daily price drops. Seasoned investors keep telling the newcomers to calm down and everything will be fine, but it is hard for investors to calm down when they see the price slowly drop each day. I agree ups and downs are part of any financial product and unfortunately down days and down weeks are part of the game. However, that does not mean we need to sit around and watch the price slowly drop and not do anything about it. I witnessed the same behavior with the Mint community, and after weeks of delusional blind "faith" I cashed out. It has been nearly two months and they are still waiting for the price to recover. I respect the opinions of the other seasoned investors but we need to be realistic. Investors want to invest in winners not "losers". It is hard to convince investors we are a winner when they see the trend line pointing downwards.
At the end of March and the early part of April we were proactive at getting the word out about BlackCoin, and we were able to see clear results from our efforts. Last week and this week we did not do any promotional activities similar to what we previously did and the downward price reflects that. Our press releases and promotional campaigns do work and you can see the results for yourself. Just match the days and weeks of our press releases with the market history and you will clearly see the effect of our efforts.
We have had a lot of positive news over the past several days and we have not capitalized on that news. Next week we should send out two or three press releases. We have to keep pumping news out every single week like clockwork. Every time we are added to a new exchange, or a new partnership is established, we need to issue a press release.
Some people have this misconception I am against the multi-pool. I would like to publicly state I am not against the multi-pool. However, I believe too much focus and dependency is being put on the multi-pool. The multi-pool does not buy BC at the current sell price, they wait for dips. So this idea of the multi-pool buying up all the BC is just a myth. Also, please stop assuming that everyone who mines on the multi-pool is not dumping coins back into the system. I cannot express enough that crypto-currency is big business. Just because we do not have conclusive proof that there is a coordinated attack against BlackCoin doesn't mean it is not happening.
So can we finally open up discussion to other creative ideas and solutions. The multi-pool and press releases are just a couple of tools in our arsenal. We have a very talented community and I am sure we can come up with more solutions if we brainstorm together!
We as a community have to stop fighting with each other and start working together. Everything we have accomplished has been because of the work we have done together.
This community is great but it needs expand to rise. Some event new features need to bring us new people on board. We cannot go higher with only 1000 people on board. We need more people like you like pool developers like marks who are able to create something. I agree with this part 100%. This forum is a great tool to attract new talented people. However, what rational thinking person in their right mind would want to join us if we are attacking each other and acting juvenile? I understand there will always be trolls but the key members including myself have to change how we conduct ourselves moving forward. I would really like to hear some ideas on short term and long term solutions. I will share on prive i don't want open public some ideas to get others advantage of stealing idea. |

But place to talk about it is not here rather in main forum here is to big mess. There is area called project development. When we start something we can bring it here and bump buzz it few times to show others that we are acting i don't like giving empty promises. As you see some projects like even Mooltipool is not so trivial idea to get working. It takes a lot o time of many people to being functional. BCpool is exlent example we had 20-30Ghs at beginning but it was alfa nothing was working and people left ship because whole thing wasn't finished till today many was disappointed. Today we have BC lottery when POOL will rise to High amounts it can take some media buzz to ... EG...Great job was done by BC lottery developer. IMO only working things matters empty promises are illusions and cause only that people will abandon ship. 1st wave of people associated with BC was only for making quick $... They now gone to WC like Strato (he bought 3m WC @1200 he was thinking that WC will be his next big train) Now is great part of BC rise joining and searching for creative people which other can support with donations or something else. Friends stays only when price is falling...I am hapy that much more supportive people we have now. This community is great but it needs expand to rise. Nope. I think someone trying very hard to get people panic sell and then pump the price up. But i don't see anyone setting up sell order. I guess the person fail. The spread is very big. If i am right, this will be the worst dump ever in alt coin because nobody panic sell and another whale pump the price up. Whales will need to pump the price up to sell their 10% daily interest. Their 10% daily is a lot, if the price is not up , they cannot sell. They cant even sell their holding let alone interest at this price. There is no liquidity at such low price. I share the above opinion. X11 POW/POS coin ( only 50 Million ) is bound to rise. There is already adequate marketing for this coin. More to be expected soon.
