2501  Other / Meta / Re: [Proposal] New "Ancient" ranking / higher than Legendary on: December 02, 2015, 09:18:37 PM
I guess a range between 1850 and 2150 would be ideal, a painfully long random waiting period will make the activity note interesting.

there was already a discussion about this, for the new forum, among the other proposal, i wuld also like to see a new rank, but the name you choose is a bit underwhelming

legendary sound more badass, maybe "Eternal" or something like this?

How about "Old-Timer" xD
2502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: December 02, 2015, 09:07:10 PM
Paypal and bitcoin are kind of the same thing, except one has chargebacks, one doesnt, one is centralized, the other isnt.

I guess bitcoin, as your money can appreciate in value, but PayPal cash is always the same value in your chosen currency.
2503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A flaw in bitcoin, if it became widely adopted 21m bitcoins, 7b people on planet on: December 02, 2015, 09:03:23 PM
But we all know that bitcoin will not be so widespread. If it became widely accepted, our governments would come together and take a shot at their own altcoin - one supported by them - that has the capacity of, say 21 billion, to help.
2504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: December 02, 2015, 09:01:17 PM
Why did he deserve life in prison? From what I can remember, he didn't mean for Silk Road to be for illegal things, it just turned out like that, like Bitcoin... kind of.

Even for manslaughter, you don't get life inprisonment...
2505  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: December 02, 2015, 08:43:21 PM
Great list. But you might as well add everyone in yobit, at least those who try the 20 a day thing... Who doesn't have yobit spammers? Theymos really should ban yobit...
2506  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk++ script - v0.2.96 on: December 02, 2015, 08:35:27 PM
Great script! A much needed update.

I'd that's a way you guys can make a program for bitcointalk that tells me when my specific post has been quoted, so I can respond, instead of telling me every signoff damn thread that other people have just posted in?
2507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guy Loses $80,000 Trading High Leverage Bitcoin Futures On The 10% Drop on: December 02, 2015, 11:45:23 AM
That's why you only invest max $10 at a time xD

Well, that's life. You win some, you lose some. Or in this case, win none, lose $80,000.
2508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: December 02, 2015, 11:42:10 AM

Oh god. Nice url. Is that your site? Interface is pretty bad. Hundred fold is a pretty good deal, any don't we all invest? We all want to make a dollar into $100,000,000,000,000 in a week.

OBVIOUS SARCASM; OBVIOUS SCAM

just get a job at maccas. Then convert your money into bitcoin. Simples. You even make $15+ an hour.
2509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a way to earn at least $1 in BTC per hour? on: December 02, 2015, 11:37:28 AM
Browse through the bitcoin faucets on sites like faucetbox.com and you'll earn an easy dollar in an hour. But that's not worth your time as you could be doing bigger and better things tbh.
2510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1 BTC available for investement, what would you do? on: December 02, 2015, 11:32:26 AM
If youre fast and can do your research, ride the waves of the bitcoin price. Or maybe you can even invest in s ponzi xD

I yes the safest way to earn is simply just to hold your bitcoin. Maybe not as profitable as the two recommendations above, but totally safer.
2511  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin For New York on: December 02, 2015, 11:30:32 AM
There's a thread exactly like this. Please use the search button before you post Cheesy

Id recommend localbitcoins.com, add you can find sellers near you and you can arrange a meeting IRL. It's much more comforting knowing the guy your buying bitcoin's from isn't some dodgy dealer sitting behind his laptop 24/7

2512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoins in the US on: December 02, 2015, 11:28:20 AM
A great place to buy bitcoin is localbitcoins.com. It's really a kind of marketplace where you can find sellers/buyers near you. Id recommend meeting up with them in person, to be extra safe. That's for I bought a few bitcoin. You really have to look out for scammers on the internet though, or use a reputed trader.
2513  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling $15 Itunes card on: December 02, 2015, 11:26:09 AM
This little board is for trading practices, etiquette, etc. If recommend you move this thread to the digital goods section, or at least the marketplace. You can move it through a button on the bottom left of this page. Thanks.

If it's an iTunes card, people can get them 30% of at sales. Are you willing to negotiate?
2514  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: December 02, 2015, 11:22:54 AM
I've actually never heard of people calling bitcoin dead. It's a thriving and brilliant community. Just take a look at this forum, for one. Not a question goes by unanswered.

Those people who can bitcoin dead have no idea of what they're talking about. That's like saying that dice there's a GFC, the world is dead. Things don't work that way. Prices fluctuate. They rise and fall.
2515  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone here part of "1 million club"? on: December 02, 2015, 11:18:25 AM
25 bitcoins! Yessss!!!

I've recently hit 25 bitcoins, and I'm pretty proud of myself. All mainly from altcoin trading and *KOFF* Investing early on ponzis *KOFF*
2516  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Gold the root of all evil? on: December 02, 2015, 11:16:45 AM
Gold really isn't any evil in itself. Besides being pretty shipping, it's a commodity, and dirt could be of more value is we so choose. This evil you talk of comes from our greed, channelled through a simple metal; gold. See? We fight over a simple commodity. Why not dirt- oh wait, we already do Cheesy
2517  Economy / Economics / Re: They are in possession of everything we buy! on: December 02, 2015, 11:14:39 AM
Wait... PepsiCo owns KFC!? WTF!!
My view of the world has changed forever.

Can you all at how all these big companies own all the unhealthy product companies? Wink What does that say...

It doesn't say anything. Companies are not forcing their customers their products down to throat, at least not yet. Only we are responsible what we eat and what we are putting into our bodies!

But it just so happens that WE are shoving these things down our throats. Maybe I speak for myself, but I admit, I relish KFC <3 Wink
2518  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: December 02, 2015, 11:13:01 AM
The hoped-for number would be one, and if youre greedy maybe two.

To be realistic, bitcoin wouldn't hit more than a million dollars in my lifetime, so i'd say minimum 10. Maybe 21 Cheesy

Or maybe 21 million+, bitcoin might be dead when we retire...
2519  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will this bitcoin will go down? on: December 02, 2015, 11:10:14 AM
Just invest. Bitcoin is going up, and the value of the bitcoin you buy now compared to later will be the same. But now, and let the +EV come to you.
2520  Economy / Economics / Re: Doing an essay on Bitcoin, need ideas on: December 02, 2015, 11:08:55 AM
I think you should just focus on the new things it brings to currencies. It brings a sort of ecosystem that bp central authority is in control of, that can be profitable for miners, and convenient for users.
