2521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New coin for miners on: August 18, 2022, 11:21:45 AM

It'll be interesting to see the end of POW to have a clue about the asics in ETH mining
Thank you, but I will not create a second topic.
37 Th/s hashrate ethereum classic now. What are the ideas for determining the ASIC hash rate? This coin will be mined by both GPUs and ASICs after September 15 and I expect a minimum of 100 Th/s on this coin.
2522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: RTX 3050 with 4G cant run, PLEASE help me on: August 18, 2022, 11:14:51 AM
IF i change to win7 , will be fixed ?
If you have a modern laptop, then when you install Windows 7, you will have problems with the security drivers of this operating system. If you use a flash drive, the amount of used video card memory may decrease. It also depends on the version of the video card driver. But after a while you will have problems, because my windows 7 used 300-400 megabytes of GPU memory and your dag file is 3500 megabytes.

which version drivers used in your windos 7 ?  thanks
The last time I used windows 7 was mining with 1070 and 1080 graphics cards. Then there was a problem with a hashrate drop and I used windows 10. But there were other problems with remote control.

Ethereum(ETH) and Conflux(CFX) are not for 4 GB graphics cards.
Ravencoin(RVN) is a hot algorithm even for a regular video card, but it is the most profitable one.
According to my memory, Windows 7 did not take more than 400 MB from the RAM of the video card, but it was a 10x0 series.
In a normal PC, you can use 2 video cards. Install the main video card for example GT710 and Windows will use its resources, your 4 GB on the second video card will be free for mining. But in a laptop, I would use hive os.
2523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Conflux Changes Mining Algorithm to Ethash #PoW on: August 18, 2022, 11:01:08 AM
Any advantage of going Ethash algorithm? Will Asic miners be dealt with?
This official version
Wu Blockchain:
Conflux initiated the CIP-102 proposal: change the PoW mining algorithm to Ethash, the motivation is to make it easier for Ethereum miners to switch to Conflux after the merger, but the specific details are still pending
https://twitter.com/WuBlockchain/status/1557665083349557248?
Most miners mine ethereum and it will be easier for them to mine another coin on the same algorithm. I think it's logical. But there is no information about Asics yet.
2524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Kaspa dual mining better? on: August 18, 2022, 10:50:06 AM
Thanks for the respond sxemini, how about the temp you are getting on your RTX 3070 when mining kaspa with Ethereum because I am very sure that once watt usage increase the temp will increase as well, so what's the temp you getting for using 170watt on a 3070 mining kaspa and ETH.

I get 60C with 50% fan on my RTX3070´s and without dualmining i get around 50C. It is nearly the same like ETH+TON in the past

The RX6900XT can do 61mh ETH + 700mh KASPA/HEAVYHASH @ 230w
This coin requires a higher core frequency. If you use lower core frequency settings, then the mining hashrate will be small, but there will be no overheating of the video card.
But if you increase the core frequency, then the consumption increases and the video card overheats more.
RX6900XT consumes about 150 watts in ethereum mining, and already 230 watts in dual mining
2525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Need Urgent help with my electricity consumption !... on: August 18, 2022, 10:44:35 AM

when entering 1000 in the first space and 720 in the second blank i get just 720 kWh for a whole month, wat less than 3266 !...

thanks,
If you have a separate wire for mining farms, then install this wattmeter
https://aliexpress.ru/item/33060615027.html?
If you use a home outlet, then with the help of this wattmeter you can find out the real consumption of mining farms and air conditioners from the wall.

It is inexpensive, but it will help you to calculate the profit very much.
2526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / New coin for miners on: August 17, 2022, 10:52:17 AM
I made a small list, for everyone who does not know what to mine after ethereum

Ethereum Classic ETC
EthereumPOW ETHW
EthereumPOW  sp_
Ravencoin RVN
Conflux CFX
Ergo
Sero
Bitcoin Gold
BTCZ
Grin
AION
XHV
YEC
NEOX
Beam
Etho(ETHO)
Ubiq(UBQ)
QuarkChain (QKC)
Callisto(CLO)
Metaverse(ETP)
Flux
Firo
Other coin

https://whattomine.com/

I did not find the voting option.
And all miners are interested in the question of the hash rate of asics on the Ethash algorithm. If it is at least 100 Th/s, then what will be on all coins with the Ethash algorithm? What if this hashrate is much higher?

2528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Efficiency or NOT? on: August 17, 2022, 10:34:07 AM
Is burning 1200 watt to keep a 350MH rig running a fairly good practice or not efficient enough? The single RTX 3070 Ti in the rigs make the power consumption higher doing 81MH with Bminer, what do you think.
My rigs 5x1070 or 5x488 consume about 800 watts from the wall and give a hashrate of about 140 megahash. This is beneficial if you have cheap electricity. And rigs with 1080 video cards consume even more. For about 7 days, mining farms pay for electricity if they sell coins, and the rest of the time is a profit.
2529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Raven vs Ergo on: August 17, 2022, 10:26:50 AM
Ergo looks like the main competitor of Ravencoin in terms of mining, which one do you think it's more valuable to mine and keep for future? What do you think about Ergo project?
Mining Ravencoin heats up video cards very much, so many miners prefer to mine other coins. Compared to ethereum, ethereum is much better for graphics cards. I was mining this coin on Rx 474 and my video cards overheated, but they worked well on other algorithms.
2530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW EthereumPoW on: August 17, 2022, 10:22:25 AM
The daily miner reward will still be the same but 10x more hashrate, so in the end you get 10% of your previous profits.

But the price of the other alts can go 10x.. etc has already doubled.
I don't think you're considering proportions.
If the price of Ethereum Classic, Ergo and Raven Coin grows 10 times, then at least half of the miners will have to stop mining, because it will be unprofitable. But who will buy these coins?

Windows is mining shit.
Install Hive OS on a flash drive and mine coins on your laptop. Linux systems for mining take away the very minimum of memory from the video card, so you can still mine coins with a 3.5 GB Dag file for some time.
On Windows 10, there are already problems with 6 GB on Ethereum mining.

The temperature depends on your cooling system. In closed cases, there will be fewer problems, but you will have to increase the speed of the case fans. In open cases in the summer, I do not use the dual mode, because the video cards overheat. Try this mode on one mining farm to see your temperatures.

Interesting rumors about the graphics card 3060
3060 GDDR6X GA103/104-202
https://twitter.com/KittyYYuko/status/1556980520831143936?

GeForce RTX 3060 Ti may get faster GDDR6X memory
https://overclockers.ru/blog/id_1/show/72454/geforce-rtx-3060-ti-mozhet-poluchit-bolee-skorostnuju-pamyat-gddr6x-insajd
According to the enthusiast, the mid-range model in the face of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti may soon get faster GDDR6X memory

how about the bus width?

it made the difference between 3080 and 3070ti.

if it is the same as 3070ti bus width then it is worth it.

plus you have to get the 3 fan cooler/length models, because you might not be able to max out those gddr6x's hehe
Even with the three fan models some are bad build and 3070Ti are known to always have high memory temperature issue after few months of intense mining, be ready to battle with cooling pads.
The manufacturer of video cards with DDR6X memory turned out to be smarter than all the miners. All these video cards are not designed for mining, and even good models, which were mined for the first 6-10 months without overheating, then problems began.
Thermal pads need to be replaced which will void the warranty. For video cards with DDR6X memory, good closed cases are needed.

What to Expect on Coinbase and Other Crypto Exchanges During the Ethereum Merge
Coinbase will temporarily pause Ethereum and ERC-20 token deposits and withdrawals during the merge, the exchange announced Tuesday.
The pause is a precautionary measure, Coinbase said in a blog post, with the downtime allowing the exchange to “ensure that the transition has been successfully reflected by our systems.” The “merge” refers to a significant protocol update that will see the Ethereum mainnet combined with the proof-of-stake beacon chain, completing the network’s transition to proof of stake.

2535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: {discussion} Ethereum switching to PoS ??? on: August 17, 2022, 09:50:50 AM
So not that ETH is on the final stage before it switches to PoS what will you guys do with your rigs?

Do you have any recommendations to what one can switch?  Huh Roll Eyes
The recommendations were current a few months ago. Now any actions will not be the most rational, because the prices for video cards have fallen and the profit will fall after the end of Ethereum mining. I do nothing but wait for better prices to replace my old graphics cards.

Should see one more huge price cut on 3XXX GPU's before the launch of 4XXX next month.  I don't expect the 4XXX to better efficiency for memory intensive algos since they are crippling a lot of the memory bus bandwidths,  but it should pack a punch for core intensive algos like flux and rvn.
The RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 will only compete with the top Nvidia models. I think they will be mining hotter than the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080, with cooler versions going on sale in Q1 2023. During that time, the overstocking issue will be resolved
2538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What coins to mine with 2GB GPUs? on: August 14, 2022, 11:29:03 AM
2 GB video cards have long been unprofitable in mining. It is better to sell them and buy inexpensive RX 474 or 574
https://minerstat.com/dag-size-calculator
4gb video cards will be relevant for mining ethereum classic until 25 Aug 2025 and you still have a couple of months of mining in zombie mode.
2539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Not able to get A2000 killing me on: August 13, 2022, 11:17:28 AM
Did anyone buy the RTX A2000 lately? I am trying to see the cost of this graphic card, this is the only gpu on my mind in this bear market but I cant fins good price yet, why is this A series more costly than other RTX.
Do not buy video cards now. The price of ethereum has risen and the prices of video cards are not falling. Start monitoring the markets after September 20, when the profit in mining on video cards will be minimal and there will be many interesting offers on the market.
2540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What will you do in this case on: August 12, 2022, 12:07:00 PM
I prefer to pay for electricity rather than steal. If your profit depends on theft, then this is a bad investment.
