2521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: July 22, 2020, 10:46:21 PM
Probably this must be one of the worst suggestion I have come across in recent times. Because I have not seen anyone suggesting about not to invest in cryptocurrencies. If we go for studying about what are good assets for getting us better ROI, I guess cryptocurrencies must be having top spot in such a list. So, investing into cryptocurrencies is highly recommended for those people who loves taking risks but still on calculated way. Cryptocurrencies will get you better ROI but you must be aware of what coins are good to invest with.

Cryptocurrency market must be too vast which is the reason why many people are easily getting failed here. You must take time to do due diligence so that you can filter out all the improper projects for not investing with them. When you are good at your due diligence then you can easily make lots of money by simply risking only very small amount in cryptocurrencies then how it will be a right to call not to invest in cryptocurrencies.
2522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How possible is it to make a living trading cryptocurrencies alone? on: July 22, 2020, 09:56:42 PM
There is many thing that must be prefered before you do day trading. Such as find more first many information about the coin and make an analyst through the chart.

If you do that everytime you trade you will gain profit. Because the two factors is enough for every trader to gain money in it. So, there is not how much altcoin that you choose or what coin that you choose but it is about your skill.
Yes, first we need to find a coin for trading which should be potential enough and then must go for gathering enough information about that coin then we must go for technical analysis to find where to buy and that to sell. This way we can manage crypto trading for earning a life from it. It means we must focus on both fundamental analysis and then technical analysis. News and development information about one particular coin is a better way of doing fundamental analysis.

there are many coins pumping on a daily basis but the risk involved is really high as you cannot hold for a certain period of time as you can be the bag holder, in short there are ways but the risks are higher.
The only thing we must focus on finding ways because we can easily tackle those higher risks. With the help of technical analysis, we can find when a coin will get pumped and then we can go for buying and selling according to our risk management. Because, you cannot wait too long to make profits so that you should exit at your preferred profit level.
2523  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading, gambling and binary options. Which one you prefer? on: July 22, 2020, 08:45:35 PM
I might go for binary options and day trading, but I don’t think I will ever go for gambling. This is because of the kind of experience I have had before, not something that has happened to me, but to people that I know who are close to me. Some of them got addicted to gambling and it rendered them so useless, to the extent that everyday they are gambling but still achieves nothing but more losses. It affected me to the extent that I try as much as possible to stay clear from anything that has to do with gambling.

Where trading and binary options are about earning money but gambling is all about spending money. So, we can choose based on what we need finally Smiley.

The project seems good, but there are so many other projects with the same purpose of offering scalable solutions for Blockchain app development. When the concepts are just the repeated one, I mostly do not show more interest from that point onward. I am sorry for mentioning that here. It is still up to you, that's if you're not just advertising them here, to do deeper research.

If you believe that it's good for you, then go ahead and invest as long as it's a legit project. These days I am not really into rushing into any projects I see, unless I'm so impressed by what I see. Right now I'm okay with the assets I have on my portfolio, they are few but I'm okay with them.
2525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Visa&Mastecard paradigm shifts. on: July 22, 2020, 06:54:24 PM
I did not realise Wirex got the principal partnership, think that makes it now two crypto companies having that, and since Wirex seems to be then supplying whitelabel onwards, it appears the crypto card dream will become easier and easier now -- meanwhile, Binance's plans to be the first such card issued in my part of the world (Malaysia) seems to have hit a snag with the regulators there.

Tried so many types of cards in my time, but with crypto, I've more or less given up and just gone the direct sell for fiat route. Can't be arsed to try a new card when how they work keep changing, and these fintechs and companies just seem so touch-and-go, I'm not sure I'll ever try a crypto card again.
Wirex cards have been around for quite long, And I did create an account on their platform and installed their wallet, and also got the card but stopped making use of it. I wasn't really interested in all that, because I was tired of the monthly fees and all that when there are banks that won't even charge you a fee lol.

Their monthly fee is $1.50, and apart from that you are also going to be paying 3% fee for every spending you make and $2.50 ATM fee. At the end my main purpose of buying cryptocurrency is not to be spending them in stores, I have other purposes.
2526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: July 22, 2020, 06:20:18 PM
Tossing a coin was an extreme example

But it served a purpose. While tossing a coin, you can be more or less certain that your chances are fifty-fifty. However, this is not the case with trading. The point is, you may think that your odds are good, say, 90%, but the real odds (at least as far as probabilities are concerned) can be quite different, and sometimes entirely different. Put simply, you may not know the real odds, and that seems to be the case with the majority of traders most of the time
Actually tossing a coin does not require any knowledge and trading is all about knowledge and the ability to read the market so we can't compare the tossing of a coin or a dice with trading. Yes, maybe people who randomly buy bitcoins and sell at higher price can be compared or those who buy any altcoin without prior research and due diligence.

But the real trading is based on knowledge and factors like how the market behaves in a certain situation and how the market crashes when there is a certain situation like we learned that bitcoins market could crash with pandemic like it did in March but it gets up very quickly so we can use this knowledge in future.

Not really, some people try to hit "MAXI FAUCET JACKPOT" since the reward for that so damn good Cheesy
I means 0.005 btc just for claim faucet and become famous on community chat bitvest that was a reason for some people to stay like 24/7.
Yeah, 0.005 is actually around 50 bucks, that is a ton of money for a lot of people, I don't know where everyone lives and maybe in places like USA or UK or even most of Europe it may not be a lot of money but at the end of the day I feel like it is quite the of money for people like me who live in a little lesser economically.

Right now it is looking like 50 bucks could be a great addition to my salary for example, its really something magical.

I wonder if people have already built any sort of bot that stays online and just writes stuff time to time to make it look like its online so that they could claim rains constantly.

Shouldn't really be a problem, just get a VPS and make the bot write certain words time to time, when you leave it like that working, you would probably get something. That is a way people might be cheating as well.

Is blackjack considered a mental game just like poker? I thought it was a lucky game, like slots, because you play against the house and there's a house edge as well..
Blackjack is sort of like poker when you consider the mental part but also it is a bit automatic when you consider the house edge. The differences are huge, for example when you are playing poker you are playing against other people, there is no house edge, however if 2 people play against each other for a long period of time eventually they will both run out of money because of the rake, yet if one of them stops while ahead they can win as well, there is no house edge but there is still a rake involved.

On blackjack you still need to consider some stuff, when you are at 8 you do not stop, you request a card, that is basically obvious, there are harder ones, like do you ask for a card when you are at 17 type of situations, but you are still playing against the house so there is a big chance of losing as well.
2529  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: July 21, 2020, 10:53:12 PM
My advice is just avoid slots and prefer to play logic and skill required games
I mean slots do have a high house edge however they are also pretty cheap as well. Now I am talking about regular casinos obviously but you can put in 20 bucks into a slots machine and spend a whole day using that without ever having to change seats whereas you have to put in at least 5 bucks on a blackjack game most of the time, so you do not really have that much chance.

I would personally believe that slots have a house edge higher than all the others just because of that, when you are doing blackjack and its 1% you are still getting minimum bet of 5 bucks and in 10 rounds that is 50 cents expected income, and that is just 10 rounds, in slot machines you are getting that 20 bucks for the WHOLE day, that person may not even leave with less money as well, they could leave with more money if they are lucky.
2530  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: July 21, 2020, 07:04:19 PM
This is really unfortunate event in our life, we lose so much in just a couple of months,

However, we can also see that after this quarantine, even with implementing the health protocol, the numbers of infected people still do increase. It is just a matter of choosing between getting quarantine but with limited foods or getting outside to work but the chances of getting infected not only you but also your family are really high.

If you have good savings or you have an earning business, it's not wise to go outside as you have a choice to stay at home and be safe. However, for most people, majority of them are just relying on their salary, so they need to work to eat, and with that, they have no choice but to take the risk.
Yes if people have money and they still feel like they should go out then I feel those people are the real virus because I mean you have the money to survive and calm down the pandemic but you want to go out for your fun, which is just horrible.

I think for the poor section various policies are being worked upon like I heard that the US has signed a bill to give every citizen 2000 USD every month and if that is implemented in real that would be great news and every country needs to re-visit this strategy although maybe they can lower the sum given since not every country can afford that much.
2531  Economy / Economics / Re: China economy and how they handle Covid-19. on: July 21, 2020, 05:55:48 PM
I have no doubt that the Chinese people are civilized and law abiding. But that is the case in other countries as well. So what made the difference here?
Not really because you can see a lot of people protesting against the government on most things like for example the BLM movement, I am not saying it is right or wrong but you can see the tension among people against their leaders and they don't seem to agree with the decisions their leaders are taking and the people in power don't have the same faith of their people as people in china have in their leaders.

obviously when the government announced a complete lockdown, the people had no choice other than to comply with it. Those who refused to follow the order were arrested and quarantined. Now this is something that can't be implemented in democratic nations.
I partially agree and that is the one reason why sometimes dictatorship can be better than democracy because people take their democratic rights too seriously and don't want to understand what the situation is and this is where a dictator can make and force a decision which in usual days might not be good but in situation like this is perfect.
2532  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: July 20, 2020, 10:36:06 PM
Very strange conduct by a user losing a massive 6.25 BTC after placing just one bet, then deleting the account after that. I wonder what the largest single bet ever placed on Bustabit and Bustadice were.
There is a difference though. I mean not with this one but certainly with all other ones you can find. 6.25 is a lot more than 100 bitcoins 5 years ago for example, however that 99.6 bitcoin was last year and at a time when bitcoin was very valuable as well, so I wouldn't say that one is lower, it is definitely higher.

Yet I am sure there were times when thousands were wagered here, and we can't just look at that, I personally myself lost couple bitcoins here but not when it mattered thankfully, it would be devastating to lose couple bitcoins right now with how much it worths. So, depending on what you mean by "biggest bet" things can change, do you mean biggest in bitcoin or biggest in fiat? If it is biggest in fiat I am sure that one has a chance but if it is biggest in bitcoin I am sure there were plenty of times higher than 100 btc.

~

Well, if anyone do not gamble or do not try his luck, then he/she will never won. You need to take risk to be able to won big amounts. You know that there are very less chances of win in gambling, if this thought stopped you from gamble, you would have never won a big amount, right ? So that's why i encourage people to take risk in gambling and change their fortune.

I wouldn't do that. Buying a lottery ticket because "no tickets - no chance to win" is one thing, but buying a lot of tickets to "increase your chances" is entirely another. The same goes for any other betting. The amount you can potentially win doesn't matter. What matters is the amount you can easily afford to lose. You should never put at stake more than that.

Many people think about it that's why they get easily get broke when they didn't win on the their placed money on betting, People need to think about that this lottery thing is for fun only so that they will not think about revenge and bet more to win on that since even if we buy more tickets for sure we will end up losing since everyone has a chance and we also add the factor that many people bet on it around the world so our chance is so thin.
People shouldn't take risks to win, people shouldn't even aim at winning in gambling, you know you can't win at all, there is no situation where you end up as a winner and continue to do that, you will eventually lose. I have always said, the only way to win in dice is to go all in at the first bet and hope you win, if you win great, take that out and live happy life and never come back, but if you lose that means you at least got it over with quicker and will not linger around and leave.

However if you are aiming at winning for long term by taking risks, that is not a smart move at all, you should definitely focus yourself into finding entertainment in gambling that would allow you to have fun with it without having a goal of making profit from something that has a house edge.

^Well, at least they are sharing their competitions on the forum once again, for a while there they didn't even shared their competitions here and only on their forums. With the hiring of new community manager and so forth, I think they are looking to share everything everywhere so that they can reach out to more people.

When you reach out to everywhere and tell them to go check their forums and stop sharing anything else for a long time, you are going to end up with communication through forums only and nowhere else, so now with this they are boarding their reach once again. Remember when they were doing a lot more sharing on everywhere? They had a lot more wagering going on, right now it slowed down a bit and I think with this new method they will get it faster once again and a lot more bets.

Same here, I would also take the money. A lambo looses it value very quickly, but even when taking the money in BTC there is a certain risk as you don't know what BTC price will do in the future.

That's an easy one.
Convert it to USDC on Binance, and withdraw it. No matter what happens to BTC, you still have your $200k.
Now, if BTC doubles, then you'll be kicking yourself in the arse Cheesy

Lol, nice and smart solution  Grin. Than I would convert half and the rest I would hold BTC.
Only question remains: cashing out such a large sum of a crypto exchange to your bank account isn't so easy I think. You would want to avoid to pay taxes or something else on that amount.
Yeah, the 200 dollar thing has been debunked many times after that as well, freebitcoin I think was giving some sort of reward for people who managed to hit 200 dollars and also come here and share that with others so that people would know it is possible.

Of course there is two reasons why we do not see those people that frequently, one of them is the fact that only a small percentage of freebitcoin users are bitcointalk users, that website actually has bigger alexa ranking that bitcointalk, so they have more users than all of this forum combined, which means they can't come down here and write unless they open a new account just for that purpose.

Secondly it is also a bit rare as you might imagine, I am sure it happens pretty commonly when you look at how many people play, but for each player, you either get it once in a life or maybe not even that (multiple time winner must have happened as well but quite unique).
2536  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you use a trading Bot? on: July 15, 2020, 10:19:18 PM
Do you use a trading bot and what's your favorite trading bot?

Also what type of strategies you use with the bot? And it is profitable for you?
I never been into trades using trading bots because it is much preferable to trade manually. I won't trust any trading bot without properly understanding how they works. Though I believe that they do have some advantage like advantage on emotional and decision making(sometimes), they are programmed according to data given to them so there are no hesitations that will happen. Trading bots should have capabilities to constantly learn from lost trades.
You are right and actually emotions while can make you loose more in trade but sometimes emotions can save you too. I was about to sell in March a part of my saved bitcoins when price went to $5k but I have a strong emotion that it will jump back in coming months so I just held my nerve and it recovered itself very soon and if I was using bots the trade would be executed at $5-6k as per the stop loss feature which I am sure I would have used.

Bot scripts are usually for people who are doing large number of trades per day among altcoins like selling/buy eth for minor price change and hence saving a lot of time and also bots increase accuracy but for traders who are doing less number of trades per day I would never recommend bots and scripts.
2537  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♨️🎲 WINDICE.io 🎲 Contests 🏆 TvT 🔰 Progressive Faucet💰 Jackpots 🎁❤ on: July 15, 2020, 09:06:30 PM
I think even when they were getting so much attention, that wasn't due to them being here neither, they were never here, check out the posts of windice accounts and you will see that there is really nothing that was shared here. The only reason why they got so much attention was the fact that they did a huge 0.3 bitcoin level competition and had a huge signature campaign.

So, you saw their name everywhere and when you checked you saw people gambling 30+ bitcoin to beat each other and get that 0.3 bitcoin prize. Of course, they dropped that marketing down a ton and right now there is nothing like that which could gather some attention for them. I am sure they are still doing fairly well for themselves but that is just the reason why there is nothing you see that could get a ton of attention from people once again.
2538  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 play&invest BTC ETH LTC DOGE on: July 15, 2020, 08:18:32 PM
Hi all, are there any banners available to promote yolodice? I'm making a website and I want some banners but not the ones for bitcointalk, they don't work in my web.

This is the current loading screen of YOLOdice that you can find on their website. I just took a screenshot and cropped it. [1] https://imgur.com/ is a good image hosting website that you can put as the image source in your website.
That is a big picture and not really a banner. Banner usually is something you get in sizes and has stuff on it that allows you to promote it. Like for example "come to yolodice and get x return from each loss" or whatever, like something that would attract customers to the website. Not just a picture with words on it that doesn't really yell out "come either" or something. Which is why that is not a banner, that is just a picture with yolodice logo in it.

I would say if you want affiliates to work for you, premade ready banners are one of the most important things, I do not know if yolodice has any or not, but whenever I did affiliate marketing back in the day, I used banners that were already prepared for this purpsoe with the affiliate link ingrained in them for me to just copy and paste to my website.

The amount of stuff you guys are giving out is just crazy, from jerseys to boosted odds, to a champions league if I remember correctly that you guys sent someone, and now you are doing more jerseys and there was a promise about watching the game from the box at the stadium itself but obviously pandemic got in the way, now playstation 4.

I am sure when it comes out, you guys will probably do playstation 5 as well. Like what else are you planning to do that is bigger? Giving olut a car? Lol at this point I wouldn't be shocked, you guys are just the best promoters in the whole world. I just hope that you are getting what you are hoping for from this business, if you are not making millions of dollars in profit every single month, I would be very sad about it, you deserve that much profit.
2540  Economy / Economics / Re: China economy and how they handle Covid-19. on: July 15, 2020, 06:33:21 PM
China is a place where covid19 virus originated so,no wonder if they can handle it easy not to spread too much on their country. I also believed that China Government knows the cure for this virus but they keep it secret to their fellow country. Hope that other countries can also make a medicine to fight against this covid virus.
If they had such a medicine then they wouldn't have had that many deaths which they saw during the initial burst of corona and then it flew to other countries. They have a agile economic structure and they are really fast at almost everything so once they see a situation they are able to fight it better than others.

Other countries are failing to stop the virus because there are not enough solid steps being taken and some countries cannot control it simply because their economy cannot allow them to lock down people for months. I think having a strong economy if the first thing you need to survive the pandemic and this is one reason why China came out of it so quickly but makes me wonder why USA struggled so much despite a fat economy.
