1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of BTC in the metaverse? on: February 02, 2022, 04:23:02 AM
If crypto such as bitcoin, Mana, Sand are used as means of transaction in the metaverse what will be the reaction of the government?
What reaction exactly are you expecting from the government? The metaverse is no difference from the internet, it’s still the same internet. So, what is making you think that the reaction of the government would be different from whatever reaction that they would have at this time? They would still have the reaction that they would have now, when they see bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies being used on the metaverse.

If it’s in a country where it is illegal to make use of cryptocurrency, then the government wouldn’t allow you to make use of it on the metaverse as well, and if you’re caught making use of it, it would result to you having a problem with the government.

1523  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: January 31, 2022, 08:23:59 PM
I’m not at all surprised that they’re planning to launch Rollbot 2.0, because after their earlier smashing success they were bound to launch this. Furthermore another good news is about the sportsbook, as I had seen many users were expecting it but there was no clarity about it till now, and now finally we have some clarity that it’ll be launched soon.
Sportsbooks have become almost a standard part of a crypto casino's repertoire. It was not so long ago that Roobet introduced sports betting.
For us as customers, this is of course brilliant, you no longer have to switch back and forth between your favorite casinos and pure sportsbook providers if you also want to bet.
It is definitely great that all of crypto casinos are growing bigger and bigger. Even sportsbooks are getting casino parts as well which results with people actually having just one place to do it all. This is not just about rollbit, all of crypto casino world are going towards a scenario where they would have thousands of casino games and all kinds of possible sports just in one place and that is a great thing, I definitely support it.

However, it didn't stop me from going back and forth, why? Because back in the day I had a place where I gambled casino games, and there were places where I played crash, and places where I wagered on sports and they were all different, now that we do not need different places, I still do them all in different places, I just like it that way or maybe I just feel like I do not know which one to quit so I keep wagering on all of them.
1524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I Missed Out of a 10 Year Bitcoin Investment Plan on: January 27, 2022, 09:16:54 PM
I think the same scenario will probably happen ten years from now. People will still regret that they have missed chances to invest in bitcoin and now they are not making huge profits from it. But IMO, people will not learn from all their wrong decisions unless they see bitcoin in a very high ATH.  So it will be an eye opener for all to never disregard bitcoin as its value will always bound for a higher ATH in every year that comes.
No, it wont happen again anymore. As we see cryptos now are very popular and almost all people now know its history. I knew someone that is new to crypto and he explains to me how cryptos got his interest and he is planning to hold it for a long time.

People nowadays have a better thinking than us people on the past although there might be some regrets for the people that have recently discovered cryptos because they missed a big opportunity although it is not too late yet because there are still lots of people that are not yet into cryptos, imagine if they join here as well, the value of cryptos will improve dramatically.
1525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 27, 2022, 08:36:00 PM
I heard about this bomb blast as well, which is not good sign but at the same time i'm optimistic about this tour. Last i read, CA want all tests to be schedule in single venue for security reason. I don't know if its feasible solution considering no stadium is able to host 3 back to back tests because of pitch conditions, unless they have 5-6 quality pitches on the ground.
No doubt situation is not good and no one can give 100% what's going on in next few days as Pakistan has never been easy country for any things recently I was reading there are some riots in big city of Karachi and situation in Baluchistan is also very bad due to recent attacks on Armed Forces, so we have to wait until last day of this tour how they handle this all.

But, I read few blogs and columns where many Australians are very excited about this tour specially Pat Cummins and Labuschagne are very happy as they are going to face one of the toughest cricket players recently won ICC awards and have very good record at home. With selector George bailey is also having no issues and Australian Cricketers Association also want players go ahead with this tour.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If football is Legal in most countries why is Gambling Prohibited on: January 27, 2022, 07:24:42 PM
The game of football is one of the most celebrated and loved sports around the world and most countries have an official football team, which gives the game legal backing because the government and competition organizers make a huge budget for these games. But what baffles me is football is the highest gambling around the world but yet it is seen as legal meanwhile gambling is illegal in some of those countries and I can't stop to wonder what an irony this has become.
Not totally legal because there are still countries where sports gambling is illegal and that includes football. Same goes to gambling. Gambling is compose of different games and sports. There are countries that bans gambling or only bans specific games and there is a reason for that, just do not ask and follow it although banning of gambling usually happens locally or offline.

On the other hand there are lesser restrictions when playing gambling online, you can visit different gambling sites to see if they allow your country or if they allow this type of game. There are also bypasses that you can use to be able to access them even if they already restricted you.
1527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT is art or monkey busines? on: January 27, 2022, 06:42:10 PM
I'm kinda new in cryptocurrency so please correct me if I say something inaccurate.
As we know NFT is really popular now days and some people support them and others against them. I'm watch these video and yeah i can't deny it, in opensea for example, i see some art thieves not only one or two but very often, and terrible art but gain more popularity and high value.
so what do you think about this video? and what do you think about NFT?

the video what i talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDtt24RxdLk
I have heard of one artist who had to close down his online shop because of thieves that kept stealing his artworks and selling them as NFT. It is not easy, and in a situation like this what would you expect the artist to do? It’s not like he would be able to identify all those people who are stealing his art and maybe take action against them.

And also I am not really going to blame the platform that is called Opensea, because it’s not really their fault that people are stealing art works by other artists and using it as NFT. The platform wouldn’t be aware of it, but maybe it would be good if there would be a way to report these people, so that actions will be taken against them.
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: January 26, 2022, 09:33:59 PM
May 2021 altcoin's market share has been around 60% of the total crypto market, confirming that the majority of investors are drawn towards altcoins rather than Bitcoin these days. Coinbase now has over 100 different altcoins, while the largest exchange now offers a choice of over 400 options. The days of turning to shady exchanges like Bittrex, Yobit and Cryptopia have long since passed.

But what is your reason for buying and holding these coins? What type of profits (fiat/btc/eth/other) are you hoping to achieve and have you already taken profits?
I disagree with you on the fact that you said more investors are drawn towards altcoins than bitcoin, we all know that is not the truth. Bitcoin alone has a market dominance of over 40%, that is really huge, because we know that there are so many altcoins in the market, and all of them makes up the 60% you’re talking about.

If you check these coins individually, you would see that they really have nothing at all, except Ethereum that has a dominance of 18% which is far more better than most of the other altcoins.

As for the reasons why I am investing in altcoins, it is for me to make profit. If not for profit, then I don’t see any other reason why I should be investing in the market.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 26, 2022, 08:19:58 PM
I also think that it's a good decision for all of the parties involved, Martial, UTD, and Sevilla. Martial has got another chance to revive his career, United has got rid of a player they were not playing as they have a huge lot of options in their attack, and Sevilla has got a young exciting prospect to play him for half a season and decide whether to finally buy him or not as he came in loan.
And it couldn't come at a better time neither. Martial needed to play and the time, United needed to save some cash but more importantly, Sevilla never really tries to win the league. I mean when was the last time Sevilla won the league? I do not even remember it, and not that they are at the top of the league now but they are at least very close to Real Madrid.

With an addition like Martial, if everything they are doing ends up being great and no problems with chemistry and all of that, then we are going to end up with Sevilla fighting for a championship thanks to him. If he scores bunch of goals the moment he starts playing and they also end up being champions, this could go as one of the all time best winter break transfers ever.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 26, 2022, 07:18:12 PM
Recently I have started to gamble with crypto, and other coins. Looking to speak with anyone who has had similar experiences. I find it much more effective than gambling with fiat. Let’s use this thread to discuss pros/cons and how us users can improve it!
Well, first of all congrats and welcome in crypto world my friend but what do you mean when you say more effective than fiat? Is it the win? You can win more win you use cryptos more than fiat? Well, if that's it then go on, continue believing on it as it seems it bring more benefit to you than harm but in my own experience, using cryptos does not increase my winnings and to me, gambling is all about luck and skills depending on the game your playing.

The pros of using cryptos is that I can gamble online and for the cons, cannot think of any. The pros of using a fiat is that its straight away, no need for conversion but the cons is that offline gambling using fiat are mostly illegal in my place.
1531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 26, 2022, 06:15:46 PM
Why does everyone think the same? I mean it shouldn't be like this right? I have been long enough to hear "buy low, sell high" a million times so far, and it has always been said when the market is low, but for some reason, people still do not feel hopeful when the price is low.

I am not going to make your investments for you, it is not my decision to sell or buy for you, if you want to get out right now and feel scared then you should do that, it is your money and only you can decide that.
You just can't make that generalization, everyone don't think that way. Some of have been here enough to understand this simply mechanism that you are encouraged to buy 'dip and sell high'. People keep forgetting that this is not the first time that this kind of thing is happening. That we have always had the bear market in crypto and also the bull market too and without one we can't have the other. I will encourage that you should invest the much you can afford to lose in this dip and you will thank me later. Not a financial advice though!
1532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: January 26, 2022, 03:33:28 PM
A match between two of the biggest teams in Europe is never boring. Yes both the teams are really good at their own attack and defense and will cancel out each other as you said and maybe we won't have a high scoring game, but the hype and thrill will be there there's no denying that and we'll get to see top-class attacking football.
It is possible because anything can happen in any match but indeed, because both are big teams, there is little chance for a boring match and no one expects that to happen. PSG basically have more star players even down to their goalkeeper, but the fact is PSG are not strong enough in defense and I really regret that result. Because if PSG could win big with clean sheets more often, then I would choose PSG to win but so far PSG have not made that achievement, so it becomes a doubt I think.
Real has a great offense, but a bad defense, psg has a great offense but a bad defense. This is the key for a great game. I can see a game where it ends like 5-2 to anyone's side, PSG probably but anything could happen. Those type of games are the most fun to watch, games where there are tons of goals. I get that 0-0 has a place in football, we have seen games where it is fun.

However, in my nation we have a joke about "watching the 90 minutes repeat of lecce-cagliari 0-0 game", because sometimes games are just way too boring and you do not want to see 0-0 in a game where you know players could have scored 5+ goals total. This is also a great game to wager 5.5+ goals as well, it almost always pays a great odd because there is rarely ever 6 goals or more in a game, sure it happens but rarely. This could be one of those days, I do not know, it could be 0-0 too, but I am going to try to wager on that.
1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just saying on: January 25, 2022, 09:58:53 PM
In the future maybe 2025 the next big thing in crypto won't be what we've make lots of money from like the metaverse, Play2earn NFTS, they will be around but won't be the main focus, it might be web3.0 and other that's not even been acknowledged yet, just saying this because some people are already planning to pack many meme coins and other for the future your expectations might not come true
That is right, in the next three to five years we are still going to see another trend that will pop up in the market. Almost every year we have seen new trends that came up in the market, and as time goes on they fade away and other trends picks up from there. From ICOs, to IEOs, STOs, DeFi, NFTs, Metaverse, etc.

It never stops, we keep seeing new ones every time. So it wouldn’t be a surprise to me that there would be new trends that would also come out in the future. But even when a new trends comes out, there are still some trends that will never fade out.
1534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I invested $100 for 18 years for my new born nephew on: January 25, 2022, 09:38:34 PM
6 years ago the 0.002 BTC that was left in my very old electrum wallet now has a value of $80, it used to be less than $5. I remember betting just $2 everynow and then on a binary options with this electrum wallet. I stopped using the wallet but I did have an access to it which I already did withdraw.

BTC so far is worth keeping for long term is what I'm saying. 15 years will be worth holding than buying an altcoin you exp
Yep, I had the same experience too with bitcoin in the past, when a $15 dollars I left for a long time in one of my wallets increased to be bigger than what it was. Although that happened because I never used the wallet over those years, because if I was using that wallet I know for sure that I would have spent that money without wasting, but because I never used it for years, that’s how I was able to leave it there and even forgot about it, until I decided to make use of my coinbase wallet which was where the money was and when I installed the wallet and got back, I saw the money in there and it was worth a huge amount already.
1535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 25, 2022, 09:19:25 PM
I just discovered that one of the worse things that happens to a team is having lose in last match, draws or lose in the next. It affects the team.
This same thing is trying to happen to Real Madrid in Spain.
AC Milan still has nice chances of climbing to the top only if they will decide to become more consistent in good results.
There are somewhat unlucky because it seems that Inter has an outstanding match.
If they win the match, which I know they will likely, AC's chances will become slimmer.
And also don't forget that inter has played One less match than AC Milan. So statistical they have the advantage over AC Milan.

So if AC Milan wants to actually top the leak then they have to win the next match against Inter. And if they win their next match they might potentially be promoted to second place. Currently, they have a four points difference with inter and that also having played one more match. AC Milan has to be on a winning streak to be able to challenge inter for the league title.
Assuming Inter wins that extra game, that would be 7 points difference. I keep saying that Inter already won the league because of this. Not that it is impossible, obviously it is possible to win and obviously we could have some team like even Juventus end up being champions because it is mathematically possible. However just because it is "possible" doesn't mean it is probable neither.

I feel like Inter is already ahead enough to make a difference and we should not be really expecting anything from Milan. Maybe there will be a week where Inter loses and Milan wins, but then there could also be a week where Milan loses and Inter wins as well so it is really too risky to say Milan may win.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: January 25, 2022, 08:28:54 PM
The consequence of not signing players was the draw against Burnley. They failed to break down Burnley, of all clubs. January is about to be over already because when I looked at the Arsenal bench against Burnley, I discovered that Top Four is a dream that may never come through this season. Most of the players on the bench lack experience. How will Arsenal make the top four with no signing in January. Same story! For now, Arsenal have no business in the Champions League as the squad depth is not there. Lack of foresight from the coach and the board. They knew January was coming and players will leave for Afcon, yet they stayed slumbering. Clearly, Lokonga can’t fill in for Partey or Xhaka. Yet they sent AMN on loan and didn’t bother to recall some loan players.
Now Vlahovic saga is already end for Arsenal as Fiorentina it already announces about this they are not going to sell him, so now they need to do some better other things and try to Auba problem with better talk and try to have other available options for filling their bench power otherwise this all success could be ruined.

And they can face other problems on very crucial time of season right now they have some time for talk and thinking other options for having this all momentum in positive way Burnley 2 points are really concern for them, and they can give them big setback in near future because they are at bottom and Arsenal fail to break deadlock against them is surely poor from their side.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does Russia's bank move imply for Ethereum 2.0? on: January 25, 2022, 07:20:35 PM
Will Ethereum's progress be jeopardised in any way? Is it possible that Vitalik will be reviled in Russia? He met with Putin to discuss cryptocurrency, but this new episode has me scratching my head as to what the Russian central bank is thinking.
What has the Russian banks done? I know very well that the last time I read about crypto regulation in Russia, It states that Russians are allowed to mine, trade and hold crypto currency of their choice, but the only thing that they were not allowed to do is to make use of it in purchasing things. So, basically cryptocurrency is allowed in Russia, except that it cannot be used for a purchase, unless maybe things have changed as of recent which I am not aware of? Even if there has been any form of change, I don’t think it would have any effect on Ethereum, because it is a decentralized platform.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying during this dip? on: January 25, 2022, 06:15:58 PM
solana has a potential because it has its own blockchain, it is a serious coin, same goes to bsc but for shiba? cannot say that its a serious coin despite of being added on major exchange because we all know that this coin is only a copy cat of doge coin, it is just another meme coin and the hype of meme coins today is not as high as last time.

Aside from sol and bsc, we can also copy some of the op's picks, not familiar with aurora but for near, this coin is performing well lately. Any personal picks at the moment are qnt, ftm and atom. If growth are we going to talk about, those coin are not going to get left behind.
I believe that SOL needs to fix their blockchain and network before they could ever consider becoming great. They keep claiming that they have 65k tps but at the end of the day whenever there is even something close to 1k tps on their network they get a problem. It is not that hard to build a 100k tps network, it is child's play, it is keeping that promise that is very hard.

Why do you think ETH, the second biggest coin with insane funding, didn't end up doing that? I mean they could have done the same method very easily without a problem, hell SOL is open source, they could just copy them, so why didn't they? Because, it is not secure and it gets frozen anytime there is a problem. Without fixing that, it is near impossible for it to happen.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 24, 2022, 09:58:29 PM
^^That touchdown by Davis was a weird one. I am not the greatest fan of NFL, I can agree to that, and I do not end up watching every game neither, I just follow it on highlights time to time and that's about it, maybe like 4-5 games a month and only 10 minute highlights. So I could be wrong, but I do not remember that many times when the receiver was WIDE open, like yes sometimes they are open but dude was basically all alone? Like nobody was even around him? Kansas got a bit lucky, I mean they were always offensively good but their defense sucked big time this game and they were just lucky to win this game otherwise their defense would be in shambles and all fans would attack their defense.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 24, 2022, 09:06:11 PM
with the draw that Real Madrid got, it did open up opportunities for Sevilla to catch up with Real Madrid's points. It's still very interesting to see La Liga's rivalry this season, not just the fight for the top spot between Real Madrid and Sevilla. However, the struggle for the top 4 position is also very interesting, because Betis, Atletico and Barcelona also managed to win. So everything is still possible.
Even the greatest teams get a draw sometimes, and this is by far the best Real Madrid that we have seen right? So it is normal that sometimes there would be results like this. Considering their defense is not even that proper anymore, and they have just 2 known big names and nobody else, sometimes it gets leaky on defense. They scored 2 goals, which is more than enough most of the time, so the problem was not with the offense, it was purely defense that got scored twice from Elche and that's obvious. Plus, we could all have bad days, it's normal, there is nothing wrong with that, sometimes we just need to sit down and relax and go back as nothing happened.
