2521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: August 25, 2016, 12:08:17 PM
Hey! Good day i really need some answers because its about gambling in your life and other people are playing for it with heart and i just thought that how can gambling help you with your life? and do you gain something from it? does it help you to be wise or worst your attitude will change.. i need answers please!

In my own experience, my life in relation to gambling has been neutral in the sense that it has neither help me gain more money and change my life style neither has it decrease my standard of living as a result of my loss to gambling sites. So either way and Im smarter and  standing...

I must say I am impressed from what I have read so far concerning your service even followed through to Nairaland in which I am also active. But the question I want to ask is about the rate because I have made some transactions exchanging y Bitcoin for cash and the amount I received in return is close to the current value of BTC at that time . so in your own case if I am to exchange for cash through wire transfer will I get an amount close to the current rate of BTC?

2525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Baltic Leagues Prediction Thread on: August 24, 2016, 07:42:19 PM
We have Allsvenskan league thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1476439
But I couldn't find other leagues in Baltic countries so maybe a big thread for all Baltic games might be a good idea. Last days I try to be expert in these leagues because general playing amount is less than other leagues and we can see better odds for low risks.
Let's discuss bets for all Baltic (Swedish - Finnish - Norwegian - Danish) football leagues here.

I will really be interested in this because most times I want to place my bets on teams and I really Dont know anything about it even their names does not even sound familiar. I will just keep watch and allow those who are in the know make predictions and I place my bets...

I definitely know  there will be restrictions on iOS one of the reason I'm not a fan of the product. Now its going to be extra cost for sites to make their site compatible for them to use. I stick to my android fro flexibility and accessibility...
2527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: August 24, 2016, 07:04:28 PM
I know definitely know how to stop when I win but when its losing time, I gamble an amount  I am ready to lose and if the amount I deposited has been exhausted, I am definitely not adding to it that day until some other day to gamble again...
2528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is there to do with bitcoins these days ? on: August 24, 2016, 04:43:59 PM
Just hold your bitcoin and when the value increase you can earn from it, i also trade and earn but it will take time atleast i do something that i know in time i can earn. it has risk but its worth it if you try. dont be negative because you wont gain anything if you have that mindset.

if you don't do trading you will not increase your amount of bitcoin, if you just hold you will only increase the fiat value of your coin, i think the OP want to increase is amount also, i would suggest to invest in altcoin best revenue for now

In my opinion, there are millions of things to do with bitcoin, its just like what can I do with money? I have a lot of things to do with it. So far Bitcoin can be converted to FIAT then there is no limitation in what one can do with it... But if you still want to keep it as coin then you can trade it to make more, keep it for its value to increase or even gamble it is another option

PM ME YOUR BID IN BTC HIGHEST OFFER GETS IT ALL.

I expect you to give me more reason to want to buy from you as how valuable what youre selling as well as the future prospects even the quantity youre offering is making the coin worthless and youre not helping matters in trying to present it in a more presentable way... Goodluck in your sojourn...
2530  Economy / Goods / Re: How to unlock iPhone 6 iCloud Locked on: August 24, 2016, 03:17:40 PM

Thanks and advance

Who ever you bought this phone from most probably forgot to turn off the find my phone feature, get in touch with the seller, its the easiest way.
This happened to my son, got resolved within a day.

If this could be possible why would I ask for help here.
I contact to the seller he said i will get back to you after after 1 or 2 days but now he is not responding and he is not the original owner of this iphone 6+
This is  written on icloud Activation screen
"This iPhone was lost and rerased Enter the Apple ID and Password that were used to setup this iphone"

Is there not any legit iCloud Activation services which people are paid for?
Any kind of links to follow the instructions etc or any software?

Edit : is this legit service https://www.officialiphoneunlock.co.uk/activation-lock-removal.php

I would suggest you do more due dilligence before parting away with your funds as the link you posted dosent look legit to me. I would suggest you take time before taking a decision as some people who are expertise in this regard could offer some help... So you wont lose on both ends...
2531  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining on: August 24, 2016, 03:10:28 PM
doing it on a normal computer wont yield anything

the current main pools are the equivelent hash power of 100,000,000,000 computers.

these days you need a special piece of equipment called a bitcoin mining ASIC
the current top rated bitcoin mining ASIC has the power of 4,000,000 computers.
which on its own is not enough to compete against the pools. as you will require about 25,000 units to equal the same hashpower as one of the top mining pools

however knowing the top pools get about 300btc a day, one asic joining a pool and getting one 25000th of that pools earnings is still better than nothing (starting at 0.012btc a day)

however here is the kicker,
with adjustments of difficulty and also competition from others. you may not break even within the year.(just based on retail price of an asic and a 5% reward adjustment for difficulty and/or competition per fortnight)
you would only really achieve an acceptable return of investment after costs if you can get the asic atleast half the retail price and also have cheap labour/building/electric costs.
so unless you are thinking of going super large and starting up a pool of your own with tens of thousands of bitcoin mining asics bought below retail prices, you would be safer to just buy bitcoin and hold it, and skip trying to mine bitcoin.

sorry if my post is not a fluffy happy reply informing you of being a bitcoin millionaire with just a small investment. but i prefer to just be frank in my posts.

Youve given a very elaborate explanation even though frank as it may be but youve not only enlightened op but me too because I come across all this cloud minning stuff and I asked myself if its even possible as they turn into scam at the end of the day... But I would want you to explain if cloud minning is even possible? Am asking as a rtesult of curiosity...
2532  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France, Germany want limits on encryption to fight terrorism on: August 24, 2016, 03:07:07 PM
All I can see in whatever they are doing is just a way to feel themselves in the sense that so that the masses can say they are doing something. If they really want to tackle whatever they are claiming to tackle then they should go to the source of the issue and stop wasting time on frivolities of encryption or any ephemeral things...My opinion though...
http://www.newsobserver.com/news/business/article97299902.html

Quote
PARIS - France and Germany pushed Tuesday for Europe-wide rules requiring messaging apps such as Telegram to limit encryption to help governments monitor communications among suspected extremists.

I think that they've missed something...
The unencrypted communications are part of the past and present, but no will not be part of the near future. They have to find better tools, not rules.

They know where the terrorists are, all they have to do is go there and kill them. Rules are not going to change anything since these guys don't play by the rules. Sounds like the same old politico bullshit to draw out this conflict even further.

2534  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card , Bit.Cards on: August 24, 2016, 02:06:25 PM
this is a confirmed scam, as is obvious by the newbie OP, the newbies who say it works, the awful domain name (if they have a real company, why can't they afford a real domain?)

and the scam report:
http://bitcoinscammer.com/?listing_type=bit-cards-scam

Thats a big accusation there. Waiting for the op to respond to that. In addition,  I asked a question on the first page and OP didnt bother to reply me despite providing answers to others who asked after me...
2535  Other / Off-topic / Re: du you spend coins on real life. on: August 24, 2016, 01:58:51 PM
What I do is just is very simple, convert it into my local currency and spend. I dont think it could be more simpler than that in spending coins...
Not really.
In fact, I can't spend coins in my real life.
There is no merchants who accept BTC in my local area, no BTC ATM's etc.
Until this situation change, I will mostly just collect BTC in my wallet and sometimes buy something online.

It's just crazy when people think bitcoin has value when in fact there is no use for it. This value is too high. There are other coins out there too that does the same thing.
I think as long as they have the bitcoin bitcoin exchange rate then will always be precious. although bitcoin has not been accepted in many stores and many states. but for bitcoin has the exchange rate then you still can easily convert it to a fiat and use it for shopping

I live in a developing country though...

Yeah converting it to fiat currency is not a big deal in most of the countries as there are many exchanges available so you can easily convert and then use it for shopping.
I live in a less developed country and we already have a local exchange site that we can easily cash out our bitcoins, I think there is no problem with other countries also, bitcoin are accepted everywhere as globally we have supporters of bitcoin so we can still spend with convenience.
2536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many coins needed for success? on: August 24, 2016, 01:44:37 PM
I don't think many get what you mean, so I'll start it off. We've had coins such as "42" and other coins such as D-notes/Doge that are on the extreme end of things.

Since a coin is divisible down to the 8th decimal point it means that you can have really as many or as lil coins as you want. Of course it's going to effect pricing but I think the "correct" amount would be dependent on what the coin's function is.

Like with 42, (not sure what it's purpose was) but it shows that you can have a network with only 42 coins, people just trade divisible pieces of said coin in order to transact. So the typical trader would have just a fraction of one coin.

Where as with Doge or REDD, these coins are used for tipping alot, it's also seen as "Fun" to have 1m coins in your name, call yourself a Doge millionaire. Because of this, the normal trader of Doge has a few hundred thousand coins.

Each coin serves it's own purpose and function (not sure wtf 42 does other than exactly what it's shown us) and the amount of coins it has is just what ever the developer thinks will support it's purpose best.

Long story short, there isn't a one number fits all. It's dependent on the function and intended purpose of your coin.

Your coin can have 1 coin or it can have 3 gagillion coins and it still won't be any closer to success than any of the others! Tongue

From your analysis, I think you have been able to explain what OP meant... In other to add to it, I think the major determinant of holding any coin is the value attached to it as at today and ready to bear the consequences of what will happen to it tomorrow whether increase or decrease this willgo along way in determining the amount or quantity youre willing to hold whether short term or long term... My opinion though and my humble contribution...
2537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Gambling is Fun? on: August 24, 2016, 01:33:52 PM
Why everyone is using the Word of Fun for only gambling, if gambling is a game, so all games are interesting and entertainment, not funny, Gambling is not a drama or play, it is a real and mind blowing game.
For me, nothing is funny in gambling.
What do you think of FUN in gambling?

The only fun thing about gambling is the winning part and nothing else. Because i dont see any form of fun whatsoever when I am losing but when I win, I am happy which makes the activity fulfilled... My experience...

2540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be considered a "high risk investment"? on: August 24, 2016, 09:57:36 AM
I know it isn't an investment, but in the last few years some "high risk" investment funds have appeared, and in them you can either lose it all or earn a lot of money.

Isn't this basically the same as gambling? Wouldn't it be faster to just deposit the amount in a casino? At least you'd be able to spend your earnings much sooner Cheesy

By my own definition of investment, it means put resources somewhere in other to get returns with risk attached so I will say gambling is also an investment which has a very high risk attached to earn it to lose... So its an investment... But with high level of risk...
