1641  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to invest/grow your Bitcoins? on: January 16, 2017, 12:39:29 PM
The ways to grow bitcoin comes with its own risk and for sp many will no mind for too much risk will go with the minimal risk even if its going to mean that the original btc will grow in an arithmetic way rather than geometric others might offer with more risk. To this end, its very simple to grow bitcoin...

1. Go the traditional way by keeping the ones you have and pay the factors that will be happening will work in the favour of the price of bitcoin thereby increase the value in naira.

2. The other way is to work more in addition to what is available already either through signature campaigns or by claiming bounties or with some skills one can get clients who might be interested...

1643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many bets do you we need to do in sports betting a day? on: January 15, 2017, 07:43:31 PM
I heard that when you play small number of bets you have a chance.. How's that true in sports betting and base on everyone's experience.

Sport betting offers the best form of getting flexibility and an easy way out for people who Dont have the mind to take on enormous risk. On the site that I play, it gives the option of even if its just one game I am sure of, I will go for that and leave the rest. It actually depends on how greedy one is and not on the amount of bets or the games... There are several bets one can try but for me, I have learnt to stick to the ones I have adequate knowledge about only...
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: January 15, 2017, 07:22:33 PM
That is a serious thing to do but if I am winning in gambling then I will continue to play because my winnings will mean money won't be a problem but on the other hand if my losses is now more than the winnings definitely I would have been running at a loss which means money is now a problem and I will not continue to lose more and by default, I am stopping gambling...
1645  Economy / Services / Re: Magic Tricks for Bitcoin on: January 15, 2017, 02:20:26 PM
Offering my services. Selling magic tricks or solutions on how they did it. I will try to figure it out.

Do you know how to make love spell?  I want a girl but she does not like me . I want her to be my wife and the mother of my children. Can you do it for me  plsss?
Seriously? Do you think someone will be falling in love with you because of magic trick? Grin
Wow dude, dont force your love to someone who doesnt like you, no matter what methods you are using, even a magic trick. Oh wait, I have a method, and I'm sure it will completely work. Buy a ferrari.

Lol... This is the best love magic that will get the girl but seriously when the Ferrari leaves what will happen... I have heard about black magic that works on anyone but I have not seen one put to test.

But Op is not saying anything about that but I think what he is saying is those things we all think as magic, he can help us find the explanation for it and then we pay him but I dont think anyone will be here interested in that because most people here are about making btc and all these magic, I see as child's play that does not even interest me...
1646  Economy / Economics / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE USED BY ALMOST EVERYONE IN 2022? on: January 14, 2017, 06:19:41 PM
I partially disagree with you. Of course people are living in villages they have neither technical knowledge nor a computer to connect to internet. Unlike that most of them have smartphones right? That means they can connect not only with WiFi but with 3G/4G from local mobile telecommunication company. Even though it seems unbelievable for me that everyone will use bitcoins after 5 years I am pretty sure that is not so difficult to use a mobile bitcoin wallet if you are smart enough to keep some security precautions

May be youre talking from a country where the literacy level is high and that could not be a real challenge. Its just a little awareness that will be required but I tell you for other developing countries, even those who are said to be literate, will take a lot of effort for them to understand what is going on not to talk of the majority of the population that cannot even operate a simple phone to its maximum to now start explaining to them bitcoin wallet, sending, security etc...
1647  Economy / Economics / Re: Tax Authority in Isael wants to Treat Bitcoin as a property!!! on: January 14, 2017, 05:14:25 PM
Undermined bitcoin's usefulness as currencies will undermined its value too. Bitcoin is not even a digital silvers, oil and gold but currencies.

I will appreciate a link to your source so as to understand the underlying facts of the decision as well as the reasons as well. Then I will know whether to criticise such move or commend it. But I will still say kudos to them for not going the way of Columbia by banning it.
1648  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: January 14, 2017, 04:45:58 PM
How many times people need to read that bitcoin wont be replacing anything, neither currencie neither some companies that offers money services like paypal and Wester Union. Bitcoin its just an option to the current fiat system. Fiat is the main way that transactions are made nowadays, even being digital, its used anywhere and accepted anywhere, but people are learning faster about technology, and we must advance to the futurem, that should become digital.

Thats is exactly what I am also preaching that the way people are seeing bitcoin as a substitute but thats not it. It cannot and will never because to make that happen, government will have to be involved which means another cost on the part of government. The cost of research, cost of awareness, cost of security infrastructures, cost of establishing regulatory institution among other cost and government will have to be sure of the revenue to come from embarking on such enterprise among other things which I am not sure governments are ready for... It will only serve as a complimentary currency and I still believe in FIAT...
1649  Economy / Economics / Re: whether bitcoin influence on the world economy? on: January 14, 2017, 04:24:32 PM

possible bitcoin prices affect the world economy?
such as the high price of bitcoin again, if the price of the price of basic commodities will go up?

give your opinion?

I will say the price of bitcoin is yet to have enough impact to have influence the world economy. Because looking at the number of bitcoins we have in circulation, which is a little above 16 million as reports have stated, and also some people will have as much as 10btc or more meaning that the spread is not still enough to make the move that can change the world economy and that I guess is the major reason why countries are still shying away from having a real discussion in that area...
1650  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: January 14, 2017, 03:00:49 PM
I think the answer to that is pretty simple. With my little knowledge of economics and even the exposure I have about bitcoin, I will say its due to the penetration bitcoin is still getting in the sense that no matter how popular bitcoin is today, its still growing and not the whole citizen knows about it and everyday we get new entrant. So this to a large extent explains the reason for the high volatility but the moment the rate of entrants is not as much as we now have enough population, then we should expect more stability compare to what we are having now...
1651  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's next (short term) ? on: January 14, 2017, 02:49:56 PM
We're finally back in the high 700s after a bounce to 833$ (Bitstamp).

So what's next?

So far i think we'll have a short congestion phase before a new explosion of volatility.
Likely a move down with a possible target in the 680 - 690$ range, within 2-3 days.

Imho.

I guess, the only thing we can do since no one has the right amount of volume to make a direction for bitcoin, then I guess we should just about our normal business as we have been doing in the past and wait till when we witness something of joy in this "world" again. Since, I can absolutely say the influence I have on the price increase is next to nothing and now it has fallen, same thing occurs for it to rise again, I am sure it does not need my influence. I am still looking at the range of $750- $800s...
1652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin? on: January 14, 2017, 02:40:11 PM
I see all those news recently about how Donald Trump is adding people in his team that is bitcoin friendly, but im yet to see clear evidence of that. Yes maybe some of them hold some, but how does that automatically mean Trump is going to be bitcoin friendly because of that? They are going to do whatever Trump says because he is in charge and we dont know what Trump things about btc.

For me, I dont see any relevance of Trump to bitcoin as at today because even if he has cabinet members who are friendly to bitcoin then it does not automatically means a safe landing for bitcoin because its not only about them any longer but what is best for the whole country and come to think of it, they are not the president. Trump is and the final decision rests upon him even after considering the report of relevant agencies as relate to a particular course of action...
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it worth spending time collecting it? on: January 14, 2017, 02:36:29 PM
If collecting also mean earning some bitcoin then it worth it because if one should have a skill such as graphics or designing of signature or some sort of programming skill, then with quite a number of clients even on the forum then one can earn decent amount even after converting to Fiat, then it could mean something. On the other hand if collecting is restricted to faucets, then I am made bold to say that it does not for any reason worth it at all...
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Awareness on Local Level on: January 14, 2017, 02:32:15 PM
Its a good way to go as I have equally seen something like this over here but I am sure they will be doing it with one mind and the fact that government is not even looking into that direction but because their own interest is there, I guess that why they are engaging in it. By buying at a low price and selling at a high price and promoting to people that bitcoin is only about increases in price and not the downside of it...
1655  Economy / Economics / Re: I have 12 BTC in my Account, How should I invest this?? on: January 12, 2017, 05:46:33 PM
I am sure you would have been supplied with enormous amount of options that you can choose from even repeatedly but I will only add that  you have at the back of your mind that no investment whatsoever is risk free and even the one of just keeping your coins can be haphazard at this time of irrational price differences we are witnessing today. Also, try to carry out your own absolute due diligence and be sure about the way you want to go before delving into it...
1656  Economy / Economics / Re: $1100 to $750 is significant on: January 12, 2017, 03:24:49 PM

There is no way i am selling at this price or even at $1100,  Bitcoin is worth far more, and i believe in 10 years we will look back at these prices and wish we had bought more.  I will either be a rich man or bitcoin is bust in 10 years  Grin

I like your resolution and even your decision because the quality of a decision is not in the decision itself but the outcome of such decision which will be the deciding factor. And youre ready for the outcome which is the best thing.

The gap is much more significant and for a short term trader who bought  a day before the burst, will definitely be at a high loss which is quite unfortunate. But I am also optimistic that the recovery is around the corner and its going to happen soon...
1657  Economy / Economics / Re: What is going on, who is selling at these prices? on: January 12, 2017, 03:08:40 PM
I just dont get it.  Huh i have been in bitcoin since 2012 so i understand the ups and downs in price.  i have also been acquiring bitcoin since then.  but i just dont understand the how people can still be selling at below $800.

is it just people who are recent into the market ?  i thought it was abit early for ATH last week but i didnt expect a pull back to below $800.

what ya thinking?

I guess the simple answer to that is because every one cannot think like you and the market is a perfect market with free entry and free exit coupled with the fact that the volume you have been able to gather over the years you have been involved, is not enough to dictate the terms and trend of the market. But I will want to believe when the price is on the high side you wont be asking this same question. Its a matter of time for things to normalise itself...
1658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will die soon if happen with every Bitcoin users? on: January 12, 2017, 06:26:14 AM
Yesterday I sent some Bitcoin though the amount of Bitcoin is small but the transaction is still pending. If Bitcoin transaction time issue not solved than Bitcoin will die soon. Who would like to use Bitcoin if transaction not confirmed even within a day?

Here is TX link https://blockchain.info/tx/7a531e7990e02dd498d74d8a5c25a536d8b307ab20b31298b23aa44831924d5d

With all the delay in transactions I have been reading, I have been reading, I have not witnessed any delay in transaction as I even did some transfer recently and it went fine without any delay. But I think the delay being experienced, will somehow be attached to transaction fees attached in that as we all know if the transaction fee is too low, the amount transferred might not deliver until forever...
1659  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Gemini Exchange taking WEEKS to approve my bank! on: January 12, 2017, 06:06:51 AM
I am sure they will have a legitimate reasons for keeping you pending and since they are regulated as right noted, be rest assured they they are carrying out some investigation or due diligence on you and maybe they have large amount of clients to deal with. Either way, you have no option than to wait since you can't fight them. Even if you get their phone number, ypou will only get to speak with a customer service agent who have been programmed to still tell you to wait...
1660  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a website buying giftcards for BTC? on: January 11, 2017, 08:38:54 PM
Does anyone knows anything like that? A website purchasing giftcards for BTC. I ve got several Amazon and Xbox giftcards and selling them for BTC would be nice. If not, what other options for BTC are available besides posting here on forum and using Reddit.

Why will I bother myself looking for where to buy with btc when it would probably be higher that bwhat is obtainable here because with the value quoted in dollars, in addition to shipping cost, then its definitely going to be on the high side. So, I just get ready to convert to fiat and purchase what I wanted live and realtime rather than having to wait days before recieving what I ordered for...
