1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Series and films in which Bitcoin appears on: February 12, 2017, 03:43:08 PM
There is this film I watch recently and its about Hacking where there is this amateur guy that does his own normal card hacking and make small money out of it and it got to a point he had to step up his game and that was when he mentioned bitcoin as a means of stepping up their game and the symbol was shown it was a brief mention but it caught my attention especially the context it was used...
1522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should governments allow people to pay their taxes in Bitcoin BTC? on: February 12, 2017, 03:36:11 PM
If it was an option in your country, would you pay your taxes with Bitcoin?

Or would that Iot make any sense to you at all, especially if you hold BTC as an asset whose value you hope to see increasing over time...?

I personally pay my taxes with EUR and will probably continue to do so even if I can pay with BTC

I think we don't need to get ahead of us to that level because you can't place something on nothing but if the we have the case of government coming with that policy in which in I am sure people will comply, then they should also look for way to plug and guide against tax evasion and in which case i dont think there is room for that at all. Then they will have no option than to go the route of self assessment in which compliance is always low in every part of the world...
1523  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: February 12, 2017, 03:26:18 PM
If I decided to save bitcoins in bank, how will deposit rate be changed compared to dollar or other currencies? Will it have much lower percent?

Its a two way thing for you but either route you want to take, just satisfy yourself that what ever the outcome of other option, I can live with it and the reason for that us no one knows the future and the level of uncertainty in bitcoin is very high as a result of the volatility of the currency which could swing either ways with few days unlike fiat which is more stable that banks can tell you this is the percentage you will get in one year if you are cool with it, go ahead if you are not you opt out...
1524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New casino vs old and trusted one on: February 11, 2017, 02:26:40 PM
We know many quite old and trusted casinos like Primedice, Safedice, Crypto-games etc. And yet I see there are many new casinos appearing like Bonanza or BtcDragon. Do new ones have a chance of becoming popular nowadays? And what can bring populatiry to a new casino? I think new casinos attract investors, because there is a low bankroll there which strengthens such casinos. What else can help? Do you think a signature campaign makes big difference, for example?

Its actually a matter of time before they too can join the list of the A sites that you have mentioned above but its actually not an easy work with dedication and commitment in the face of difficulty but at the same time achievable afterall Primedice and co started like that one day and they also climb through the ladder to achieve the feat they are today. the market is open for anyone to achieve such greatness which is not a monopoly to any site.
1525  Economy / Goods / Re: I Trade a house in Portugal for Bitcoin! on: February 11, 2017, 01:25:00 PM
Thats a good one if Portugal dont have a strict financial rule concerning the purchase and transfer of real estate because over here with that amount of money, to buy a house then I will have to explain where it is coming from and how I manage to have such huge amount as Fiat because  bitcoin popularity is still low here so I have to convert to Fiat before going for such transaction. But the issue is not buying alone but for me who doesnt even have a Portugese visa or permit, of what use will the house be for me?...
1526  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make governments accept bitcoin? on: February 11, 2017, 09:36:37 AM
Governments accepting bitcoin wont likely come from individuals but government themselves but it wont be easy with the various clamp down we have been witnessing from the world power countries that could even take the lead on the acceptance of bitcoin but I am of the opinion that if multi-corporations can take the lead on this, then they have the capacity to influence government decisions of the powerful countries after then we can now see other countries following suit...
1527  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or zcash? on: February 11, 2017, 08:16:17 AM
Comparing the two will not be the absolute right thing to do in my own opinion although their algorithm or infrastructure that they are both backed with as being illustrated by op but while op has been with us for a long while and have come to be accepted by the generality of people in the crypto-world unlike Zcash that is just trying to find a feet in this world but hopefully the dream of the developers can be achieved but its going to be a going process...
1528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to remain updated? on: February 10, 2017, 10:23:49 PM
Hello, how can i keep myself updated with coins that are pre mined or those having airdrops? Smiley

Thanks. Newbie here

Its simple but I will have to tell you, you will need serious work and be dedicated to it. This you have done is a step in the right direction but its not enough. The best source is the community which means you will have to be more active than before and also have the ability to discern because not every suggestions will be correct which means you the decision to take is largely resting upon you...
1529  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How Does Someone Compete With Poloniex? on: February 10, 2017, 10:11:19 PM
If you were a startup business, how would you compete with Poloniex?

What kind of services would you offer that are not currently offered by them?

Would you create an exchange or go in a completely different direction?

I will say, instead of trying to compete with Poloniex or an established brand why not just run your own race its like say a new stat-up company into technology just wake up and say we have to start competing with Apple or Samsung or even Microsoft when you are better are humble beginnings, I am sure people will patronize and the expansion will start from there after all. Poloniex also start from a point before becoming what it is today...
1530  Economy / Economics / Re: Build a Bank Of Bitcoin on: February 10, 2017, 06:11:21 AM
if i build a bank of bitcoin that operating like a traditional fiat money bank when people can save the money and get interest for their saving and also people can get a loan from my bank but the fiat money is change for bitcoin, the question is would you guys trust me to save your bitcoin on my bitcoin bank that i want to build ?

But you also need some fundamental truth about traditional bank that they don't just wake up one day and start doing that and people don't just keep money with them. They do quite a number of things which include depositing large amount of money with the Central Bank to be sure they are liquid enough. They also comply with all registration and the likes. They don't just start and go international. If you can do this, I am sure the trust will come and I can keep some with you...
1531  Economy / Economics / Re: Better adoption through use of mBTC on: February 09, 2017, 08:03:58 PM
Your analogy is true and full of sense as even most people just go for btc by default forgetting any other denominations which will take someone really interested to do digging to discover other denominations. However, the way most wallet sites are structured and designed he should not be too hard for anyone to get the necessary information but out of laziness, we get to ignore what matters. In my own case I know worth of that I have in relation to btc and nothing else...
1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Litecoin have a future? on: February 09, 2017, 07:43:31 PM
Correct me if I am wrong, but I haven't seen any promising development going on for Litecoin. Does it mean that it will die soon? I don't want to FUD, but I just want to make sure if LTC could be a good investment for long term, since I have been doubting myself of it.

So, will Litecoin have a future?   Huh

And one year after Lite Coin is still standing even still gathering discussion although not leaving to expectation, but because its still being talked about is a development in the direction there are several coins that have come after LTC and no where to be found today. So I believe, there is still a future as we still have exchange site listing it while some gambling site still accepts it...

1534  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: February 09, 2017, 07:06:29 PM
Yes i still believe in fiat. Fiat connected to bank, bank facilitate between investor, goverment, buyer and seller. and bank protect us if any illegal activity happen. For me, cryptocurrency just for additional payment method and way to earn money

Believing in Fiat is not only the right thing to do but also a fundamental thing to do imagine believing totally in bitcoin when yesterday, hypothetically I have above $1000 and today it has shrink for about $50 or more dollars without doing absolutely anything and with no fault of mine. I imagine someone who has just invested his total savings yesterday... I think the best is just to share where to keep funds... Fiat is more stable and that is an advantage that is yet to be outshined...
1535  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: February 09, 2017, 07:02:28 PM
Here is a interesting, hypothetical situation. What will you do if there is a MLM scam going on and it is in early stage. It is assuring 10% monthly return in bitcoins (of course it has that referral bonus part as well but it is optional, you don't need referral as you are getting 10% on your investment.).  B'cause of it's early stage, people are investing happily and getting returns monthly. In short equation of incoming source money > outgoing money. By looking at situation, let's say this scam/scheme will go on two more year.   There are some people who rip benefits from these kind of scams/schemes as they invest very early and in large chunk.

Will you invest in such scheme well before it vanishes with bitcoins/money?

I will not join in because the ones I had tried I ended up bitten and lost my money whether joining early or joining late is not a determining factor that you won't lose as no one is in the position of knowing the time the site will pack up except the adminstrators of the site who might even close down in five days after they might have gathered everything they needed within the few days where one might still be thinking he is joining in early.
1536  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think should be the right Bitcoin price as of Februray 2017? on: February 09, 2017, 06:41:43 PM
I went for 800>1200 because that is the likely realistic possibility even from what we witnessed today that range is the best range. But our suggestion does not really matter whether the price will increase or reduce, i have no input as I don't have the amount that can influence market direction. For those thinking we are going to $2000 anytime soon I guess they will have a re-think.
1537  Economy / Economics / Re: why is it so hard to buy bitcoin on: February 08, 2017, 08:36:52 PM
The difficulty being experienced in buying bitcoin, I will say its specific to on several countries that have sound system working to control the flow of money outside the financial system for me, if I want to buy I can get in the most simplest way without any stress. All I need is just to have the cash ready and set up an escrow then I have the bitcoin as easy as that.
1538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you think of Trump & Bitcoin? on: February 06, 2017, 04:18:30 PM
I think he's gonna crack down on Bitcoin once he settles down.

Polls are up:
https://twitter.com/PRVirtualCoin/status/828287000755130368

Thats your opinion and you are more than right to be entitle to it but the condition that you put there is the fact that until he settles down. People dont settle down in politics the more that is being done the more that is left to be done, A country like United States things dont just get settle. Give him eight years, he will tell you to give him more time if possible. So hopefully, he wont get to have bitcoin time to crack down on it...
1539  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: February 06, 2017, 04:03:26 PM
This is one of the reason that some governments are frowning at bitcoin which actually makes its more difficult to protect the anonymity of bitcoin with the details of KYC they keep on asking. But looking at it intuitively, its not impossible to do because countries that have strict rule against capital repatriation then they are left with no choice than to go look for another way to do the transfer and bitcoin could come into mind in that regard...
1540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation Time is now not a problem at local shops. Buy without any wait on: February 06, 2017, 03:55:10 PM
A minutes ago an idea came to my mind and I hope it will not be wrong.

Most of the people say that buying with bitcoins at local shops will be bothering as they will have to wait for longer at the local shop for the confirmation of their payment in bitcoin to the shop/store. But one thing is in my mind that if a person pay a suitable miner fee for a transaction then that transaction cannot be cancelled. So if a person will pay in front of the shopkeeper and the shopkeeper will know that the person have paid a suitable fees then he will provide the good at zero confirmation (without waiting for any confirmation).

What do you think about that idea?

The confirmation is a thing of concern and not only at local shops but even at individual wallets in my own a transaction has entered my wallet for hours now but its still showing zero confirmation out of three. Good for me because I know transactions can be delayed even with the right amount paid as transaction fee but for a local store who sells in cash is now be encourage to use bitcoin I am sure patience is not a quality that will be very much available in this case...
