I really recommend to try the features Byteball, create another wallet and send some money around.

Why , you recommending sending money around , whats the gain about this? to create volume orso??
To get a feel for how Byteball works.
25262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 26, 2017, 10:44:02 AM
@ChainSmoker
Think of Blackbytes as a post-it handed to you by the previous owner. The post-it says: "ChainSmoker is now the new owner". Together with handing you the post-it, the DAG registers that the previous owner is no longer the owner of these Blackbytes. The DAG does not register that you received the post-it.
Now, if you lose this post-it, the previous owner can simply give you another post-it that says: "ChainSmoker is now the new owner". *
If you want to give your Blackbytes to someone else, your post-it contains all the information you need to create a new valid post-it for the receiving user, and to register the change of ownership in the DAG.

I think giving Tonych your address (and asking politely) is enough. Resending means sending the same transaction again, you'll receive the exact same Blackbytes again.
The sending wallet can click "re-send private payloads" from the transaction history:

I really recommend to try the features Byteball has, create another wallet and send some money around.

* Comment needed on this analogy: does it help explain how Blackbytes work?

I've sent you WAVES. You may thank us in our thread

They never arrived though, when I check Balances I see all zeros. Can you check again to see what went wrong?

I was having some blackbytes in my wallet.I took a backup before the last airdrop.Today i recovered wallet using 'full backup' option and the blackbytes that i had before airdrop are still there but blackbytes that i received after 7th August are LOST.I was told that recovering though 'full backup' also recovers blackbytes but this doesn't happen in my case  Shocked
please someone tell me here how much is 8 GBB worth?I lost 8 GBB today even i restored using full backup.  Undecided
Blackbytes are a very smart implementation of a private asset, but they aren't very intuitive to use. I've experimented a bit on how they work, and created a Byteball: Blackbytes FAQ thread with my results.
Quick fix: you can ask Tonych to re-send your Blackbytes from the last airdrop. And indeed, you need to make a full backup after every transaction with Blackbytes, both sending and receiving!

I have read that first few thousand wallets will receive free 100000 coins. Is that true or abandon idea?
Read more carefully: the first 100 million wallets will receive 100000 bytes. This airdrop hasn't started yet.
If you're new to Byteball, I'd be happy to send you 100000 bytes to play with. If you want that: read my Byteball: Blackbytes FAQ, pair with my wallet, and say hi.

All the address invitations in your FAQ say "new" so they are used. Can you add some more for your offer please or PM me an invitation code? Thank you.
Weird, as they didn't have a wallet paired with mine. I've replaced them and will PM you one too.

Our new idea is to create ChipMixer payment hub that will ensure that (b) cannot be traced by nobody. Hub would function as any other except that we are already a reputable service that protect your privacy and if you use our service you already trust us to not to keep logs.

What do you think about this idea?
I would say: "the more the merrier"!

First, I know SegWit got activated, but I have no idea how I can use it. As far as I understand now, my Bitcoin client has to support it, and with all the fighting about how to allow Bitcoin scaling, I haven't seen a client that lets me use SegWit.

Second, I assume that once SegWit is in use, any other Hub will also promise they won't keep logs, just like I now hope/assume Bitcoin hubs don't store IP addresses.

As far as I understand, SegWit and Lighning Network risk being a centralized service with only a few big Hubs. You could have a first mover advantage by creating one before others do.

But, from your mixer's point of view, aren't you taking away the need for your own service if in the future most transactions are done off-chain?

I'd love to see Bitcoin scale to allow more transactions, and I don't really care if that's through bigger blocks or secure off-chain transactions. All I know is, it's taking way too long and fees are crazy high now. When I started using Bitcoin back in 2015, 0.00001 BTC fee was enough for a fast transaction. Now, fees are 100 times higher and Bitcoin is 20 times more expensive. That makes fees 2000 times more expensive in terms of dollars. It used to be cheaper than bank transactions, now it's 50 times more expensive than the commercial SEPA rate in Europe.
25268  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: August 25, 2017, 09:34:55 PM
The deposit addresses are uniquely generated for each new deposit?
No, there is a chance to reuse an unused deposit address.
Does that mean that if I open ChipMixer in my browser now, copy the deposit address, and close the site, you'll reuse this same address for someone else later?
Doesn't that open the possibility to "harvest" deposit addresses, to later on see which addresses sent money to your mixer?

If unused addresses are reused in such a way, it would be better to never reuse them.

If i have in my byteball wallet some coins do i still need to sign it with some bitcoin address or i get new bytes without it?
I mean if you own some and dont wanna move youre bitcoins from exchange then you still partipiate from distibution?
You'll receive 10% airdrop on your bytes. But, to receive Blackbytes, you'll need to link an Bitcoin address by talking to the Transition Bot. That address can be empty.
If you don't know how to sign a message, PM me your Byteball address and I'll get you a signature from an empty Bitcoin address.

Since you ask for blackbytes... do you know, or does anyone reading, know what's the exchange rate for GBYTE/GBBYTE
Please update this price every once in a while here on the forum.  Wink
There is no exchange for it. There is #trading_blackbyte on https://byteball.slack.com where you can see offers:

ASK orders:
1.20539 GB/GBB   |   0.055 GB   |   4.562823717E9 GBB   |   @zonedoutdad (I'm pretty sure this line is a sorting mistake on slack)
0.01 GB/GBB   |   0.01 GB   |   1.0 GBB   |   @moonlander
0.01199 GB/GBB   |   0.0012 GB   |   0.1 GBB   |   @dmicah

BID orders:
0.01809 GB/GBB   |   0.181 GB   |   10.0 GBB   |   @conibito
0.01800 GB/GBB   |   1.8 GB   |   100.0 GBB   |   @altcore

Please check your RollPoints in the spreadsheet once in a while. I'm only human, if I made any mistakes please let me know before prizes are paid at the beginning of September.

August 21 Quest ended
For 1 or 2 RollPoints: buy Lottery Tickets. 10 Tickets get you 1 RollPoint, 20 or more Tickets get you 2 RollPoints. Post a screenshot.
Lottery Bot is created by Rollin Mod madcoin. He made some last-minute changes to the Bot, allowing for fractional tips (0.5 mBTC minimum instead of 1 mBTC). Unfortunately, this didn't work the way it should, it now rejected integer tips. As a result, Rollin user especialista couldn't buy tickets on that day, even though he tried twice (I checked Lottery's tip log for this). He tried to buy Tickets worth 2 RollPoints, and although technically he didn't actually buy the Tickets, I'm rewarding him 1 RollPoint.

Prediction: $2.72 per roll point

Rollin username: hikigaeru

Aug 22 Quest: $ 2.71
While eating popcorn, pure drama has emerged here :O
maksosip says he used YoYoBot's post as a template, but edited his post when he noticed he put the wrong prediction.
hikigaeru posted 35 seconds after maksosip did, but feels "locked in" after maksosip changed his post. Although editing posts isn't allowed in this Quest, Bitcointalk allows for a few minutes to edit posts without marking them as "edited". This is meant to fix typos fast enough to be considered the original post.

Now, what to do? Strictly, maksosip broke the rules, but I believe he had no bad intentions.
I do get that hikigaeru feels "surrounded" now, so I decided hikigaeru has 12 hours from this post of mine to make a new prediction if he wants. It should be close to your old prediction, you're not allowed to adjust it for newly won RollPoints. Don't edit your original post, post a new one. I'd like to see which one is closest Tongue
I hope you're all okay with this Smiley

Skeptics are welcome. Thank you.
Skeptic here Cheesy

Although I like the idea of using Byteball for an ICO, I'll skip this one. I'll tell you why:
-Your website doesn't work.
-You didn't bother to use proper English, which makes it terrible to read the OP.
-You claim a "highly intelligent feed" from something as unimportant and hyped as Twitter.
-You want to sell Tokens for 1 million dollar, without showing any link between the Tokens and the chatbot you are planning to make. Please explain how any of your promises has anything to do with the Token you're trying to sell.
-You claim you're 3 guys who don't take more than you deserve, and yet, you think you instantly deserve 1 million dollar for creating this topic?

Q. Why we need a token rather than GBYTE ?
A. #. The one of the reason is, about funding. We can use GBYTE, when we have the platform ready. In that situation, it would be easy to accept GBYTE in fees. Which will take some time. We consider the token, "as trust" among the devs and the community members. With Initial Coin Offering, we are trying to say, "hey, please buy Nemesis tokens, thus help us out in building a great product". People, who think we are competent enough to create such product, will contribute.
So basically you're just asking for 1 million dollars in donations? Why didn't you say so in the OP?

Quote
#. The circulation of the Nemesis tokens is governed by the Byteball network. If a user wants to use the bots/platform, s/he needs to get the tokens, for that s/he must setup a local Byteball wallet.
Once again: why didn't you say this in the OP?
This makes it even worse: you want 1 million dollars to create a service bot, and then want people to pay you again to use the service bot?

Looking at your screenshots: "Buy signal: Expected to increase by about 15% in next 6 hours": I don't believe it!
IF you could really predict this, you wouldn't be asking for 1 million dollars here. You'd be swimming in money if you could predict this!
That makes this at best a pump&dump bot: getting enough people in for it to actually become true, so that the first investors earn most.
Also, instead of using a new platform, this could all be simply put into an RSS feed.
25276  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: August 23, 2017, 07:15:07 AM
I understand how ending up with bitcoin from an address related to a an address linked back to illegal or immoral activity could make you seem suspicious of something and how the receipt can claim the money is sourced from a mixer. However, couldn't this also be used the other way around to say that the money was gotten from a mixer and therefore it was originally from an illegal activity/money laundering.
That is actually what the Dutch government wants to do: if you have Bitcoins from a mixer, they want that to be considered suspicious by default. I don't think that law has passed yet though.
If they reverse the normal procedure where they have to prove you did something wrong into you having to prove you're innocent, then yes, mixing doesn't help you.

Quote
Of course, this is a backwards way of thinking and completely wrong, but just an example of times in which forces such as the government are looking for reasons to steal the money and this might not fully help. It is always good to have the option, however.
I wondered about something else (when BitMixer closed): suppose you end up in court for whatever reason, and you show a signature from either BitMixer or ChipMixer. That signature is supposed to prove you got money from the mixer, so you're not involved in the crime they are trying to convinct you for.
BixMixer used that signature as a selling point, but I wonder if there has ever been a lawsuit in which it was actually used. And if so, it comes down to a judge trusting an anonymous source (BitMixer or ChipMixer). Playing devil's advocate you could argue BitMixer can still use their address to sign from after closing, and that signature can say anything they want.

25279  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: August 22, 2017, 09:40:20 AM
I from time to time need to hand out payments to a wide variety of people, but at this point there is no way I can send an exact amount of coins to a certain address if I choose the option to have ChipMixer send various chip values to whatever address. The fees that ChipMixer deducts for the transaction will always result in an odd amount to be sent to the provided address.

I was thinking about something like this;

Chip 0.015BTC -> withdraw exactly 0.0125BTC (where the rest of the chip value serves as fee and donation).
Chip 0.02BTC -> withdraw exactly 0.018BTC (where the rest of the chip value serves as fee and donation).

In other words, I would like to manually input a value to be withdrawn (obviously always lower than the main chip value due to fees and such). See it as extra convenience for the end user. Smiley
Chipmixer doesn't have 0.015 and 0.02 BTC chips. If you want to make multiple payments, you save a lot on fees if you make them in one transaction. Bitcoin Core can do this, Electrum too.
Paying 0.015 to send 0.0125 seems very inefficient to me, I don't think many people would use that option.

Wouldn't that be something completely different than the current way bitmixer works? In my opinion, the power of bitmixer lays in the fact that the chips are pre-generated before you even deposit any funds into your bitmixer session.
If you were requesting different chipsizes, chipmixer would either have to generate these chipsizes on request before any deposit happened, or they would have to generate them afterwards (which would not seem like a good idear to me, bitmixer would lose some of its appeal to me)
Did you forget what you're advertising?
25280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 21, 2017, 08:26:42 PM
The bytes or other tokens held in your exchange wallets do in fact belong to you, legally. You don't hold the private keys, but they still legally belong to you. It's exactly the same as fiat in your bank account.

Whether or not the exchange does the right thing with respect to the distros and gives you the additional tokens is another matter. It's definitely unethical for them to keep the distribution for themselves, but the legal side of it has yet to be nailed down.
Bittrex doesn't keep it for themselves. The Bytes stay on your deposit address, until someone withdraws and they need your Bytes.
That's how I got an airdrop last time in Bittrex: my deposit address still held Bytes. Even though I don't own the Bytes in that address (Bittrex does!), the address is linked to my account. So when the airdrop hit that address with 20%, I got the Bytes in my account.
