I have read that first few thousand wallets will receive free 100000 coins. Is that true or abandon idea?
I've never heard that before.... so I'm not sure i would believe it or not. Take a look at the front ANN page and see if they mention anything about it. my .02 I have readed this on Byteball page long time ago. That is why you see 100.000 coins in wallet on Byteball page I think. This distribution should take place at the end of airdrop when they will be capable to do this. But I have never heard any info about this. I have asked few times here on forum and never get any answer too. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have found this. This is last sentence from first post in this thread: "One last thing. The remaining 1% will be given away to the first 100m users who install Byteball wallet, 100 Kbytes to each user. This will start 6 months from now or later, after we get ready for that scale." 100 million users may be a bit too much to achieve by the end of the airdrop. Any idea how many users we have so far?

Your whole wallet is backed up using the menu function (upper left button) on the small expenses wallet page. Then click settings>full backup>set up a password>repeat the password>export (indicate where you would like the backup located.) Don't know if this answers your question or not...

I have a strange bug on 1.10.1 wallet on win 10 x64. Wallet crashes when trying to sync. I already had a light wallet 1.10. Then updated to 1.10.1, made backup and moved %appdata%\byteball folder. Started Byteball, created a new wallet, chose full wallet type. Now start wallet - it tries to sync and wallet closes after 30-40 seconds. No error screens, app just closes. Tried from 2 user account on same machine - the same result - app closes. Whats wrong? Does anybody have such problem?

I was having some blackbytes in my wallet.I took a backup before the last airdrop.Today i recovered wallet using 'full backup' option and the blackbytes that i had before airdrop are still there but blackbytes that i received after 7th August are LOST.I was told that recovering though 'full backup' also recovers blackbytes but this doesn't happen in my case please someone tell me here how much is 8 GBB worth?I lost 8 GBB today even i restored using full backup. Blackbytes are a very smart implementation of a private asset, but they aren't very intuitive to use. I've experimented a bit on how they work, and created a Byteball: Blackbytes FAQ thread with my results. Quick fix: you can ask Tonych to re-send your Blackbytes from the last airdrop. And indeed, you need to make a full backup after every transaction with Blackbytes, both sending and receiving!I have read that first few thousand wallets will receive free 100000 coins. Is that true or abandon idea?
Read more carefully: the first 100 million wallets will receive 100000 bytes. This airdrop hasn't started yet. If you're new to Byteball, I'd be happy to send you 100000 bytes to play with. If you want that: read my Byteball: Blackbytes FAQ, pair with my wallet, and say hi.

If i have in my byteball wallet some coins do i still need to sign it with some bitcoin address or i get new bytes without it? I mean if you own some and dont wanna move youre bitcoins from exchange then you still partipiate from distibution?
You'll receive 10% airdrop on your bytes. But, to receive Blackbytes, you'll need to link an Bitcoin address by talking to the Transition Bot. That address can be empty. If you don't know how to sign a message, PM me your Byteball address and I'll get you a signature from an empty Bitcoin address. Thank you, i read and started to think that maybe i still need to sign my byteball addresses that have some coins on it to recive - you cleared that i just misread a littlebit all the things for this airdrop.

I can confirm the problem. I just had a Surface tab temporarily available and wanted to make yesterday a test (sync performance -> full wallet on fresh win 10 + fresh Byteball installation). Wallet crashes while synchronization is 0%, about < minute after the start. Can be reproduced with multiple installations with 1.10 and 1.10.1 Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (Intel Core m3, 4GB RAM, SSD) fresh WIN 10 What kind of device do you use? I thought it might be a device-specific problem (Core m3 problem??). Because about 4 weeks ago I had a Surface Pro with i5, since there was this Probeme not... Message is purely informal (if someone has similar problems) - I run my wallet on other devices (they work without problems)..

@ChainSmoker Think of Blackbytes as a post-it handed to you by the previous owner. The post-it says: "ChainSmoker is now the new owner". Together with handing you the post-it, the DAG registers that the previous owner is no longer the owner of these Blackbytes. The DAG does not register that you received the post-it. Now, if you lose this post-it, the previous owner can simply give you another post-it that says: "ChainSmoker is now the new owner". *If you want to give your Blackbytes to someone else, your post-it contains all the information you need to create a new valid post-it for the receiving user, and to register the change of ownership in the DAG. I think giving Tonych your address (and asking politely) is enough. Resending means sending the same transaction again, you'll receive the exact same Blackbytes again. The sending wallet can click "re-send private payloads" from the transaction history: I really recommend to try the features Byteball has, create another wallet and send some money around. * Comment needed on this analogy: does it help explain how Blackbytes work?

@ChainSmoker: I'm not sure. I would expect these: byteball-lite.sqlite byteball-lite.sqlite-shm byteball-lite.sqlite-wal
But if I delete all other files as a test, these files aren't enough and Byteball creates a new wallet.
