That would make the rest of my trust ratings questionable.
It would certainly not, no.

He scammed and I mark scammers.  I guess now scammers can mark me.  Smiley
I'm certain that a lot of different people see his actions and the dispute very differently. There have been too many posts about it to begin with. Either way, he won't do it again (I hope). Either way, it's been a very long time now.

@vod @anduck - please touch each others helmets and move on - big change here, lets not have trusted members get into penis measuring contests - we all know that Thepharmacist will win anyway
Would be nice. This dispute is very difficult for anyone who trusts both of them for very different reasons.

All that being said, I still discourage retaliatory ratings, and with these changes I encourage people to try to "bury the hatchet" and de-escalate rather than trying to use any increased retaliatory power you now have.
2542  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:54:59 PM
If I understand correctly the default trust list is useless now since it will change periodically?
No; it's just much more dynamic (and going to get much more bigger/wider).

@theymos, can that default trust extension stay up indefinitely, it means I can remove default trust from my trust list if so?
You can make any changes to your own view as always.
2543  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:50:01 PM
Anduck has been complaining for months how one negative trust can ruin a rating.

Now he is doing it to me.

I don't see him jumping to remove it.  Anyone believe he is not a hypocrite?

 Tongue
It's simple.
All that being said, I still discourage retaliatory ratings, and with these changes I encourage people to try to "bury the hatchet" and de-escalate rather than trying to use any increased retaliatory power you now have. Also, it's best to make your own custom list, and you must do this if you want to be on DT1.
You both remove the ratings. There are bigger problems to focus on. Grin

I don't really get why someone would add a Jr. Member after buying an item.
There are a bunch of collectibles manufacturers who are trusted regardless of what their rank is in here. (Smartpaymint isn't one of them, though...)
Collectibles if often like a complety disclocated set of the forum. Rank doesn't usually mean much there.

I hope that current DT members look into these feedbacks and fix them, either by countering them or by asking the DT member who gave the negative trust  to remove it "if it's a false accusation with no solid proof"or by untrusting / tagging him as a last resort.
Alrleady working on it, and already receiving threats. Undecided As long as the participants are open minded, it should work out okay.
2545  Economy / Reputation / Re: Wtf lauda is back? on: January 09, 2019, 07:43:21 PM
btw: saying that you will scam again means I know already that you scammed before, the  proofs are there.
Yeah, we've heard it probably a couple hundred times in this section already. The proof is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Can we lock this and move on?
2546  Economy / Reputation / Re: Wtf lauda is back? on: January 09, 2019, 07:34:51 PM
Why exactly do you care?

I think 3 people can be trusted besides the team: ognasty, monbux and zarzab in any case. In any moment these people go with minus....the forum is fucked
You'd be surprised how many people trust or distrust the people from your list.

Somehow I knew Lauda would get back onto DT, and I'm anticipating all hell breaking loose some time within the next 12 hours as people around the globe start waking up to a familiar bright red world on bitcointalk.
Just when I was enjoying my break from Lauda-drama. Damn it thermos!

2nd Case: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=234771 (My own view) - MikeMike, Timelord2067, Vod, cryptodevil, philipma1957, peonminer, CanaryInTheMine feedback as trusted.

In the 2nd case I see MikeMike and peonminer are added member whos feedbacks are showing Trusted feedback from me. Thing is, I never added these two in my trust list (No disrespect guys, I don't know you two.). So, I am a bit confuse how these two are trusted for me?
People who you add to your list are DT1 for you. The people that they have added to their lists are DT2 for you. Feedbacks from both layers are visible by default.
2548  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:21:40 PM
That's the hierarachial list based on MY trust list, not an overview of current DT1/DT2!
Good point... have you tried the ;dt at the end?
Full working link for anyone that needs it (thanks ib): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;dt.

It's sad to think about all of the shady people who will be making the DT1/2 list in the near future. The only people beginning to follow the criteria in the OP are going to be people who have a motive for wanting to get on DT1, and only a small amount of those motives will be for good purposes.  This will be manipulated more than the prior system IMO, just needs some time...
<…> - You must have at least 1 person directly trusting you with an earned merit of at least 100.<…>
Since the above is a key factor, I’ve drawn up a list of the current standing 478 forum members that meet the >= 100 earned merit criteria (see https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wQdLJJLCbTBDMEdSOvOmLnpOIgGLwHTXJZX6BUWyVyY/edit?usp=sharing).
Could be prevented before it happens time, but this is a lot of names to go through.
2549  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:16:08 PM
Its interesting how the biggest abuser of trust Lauda have some kind of "powers" in his/her hands.
Maybe if you'd stop spreading lies about others and stop trying to taint their actions as 'abuse', then maybe those others would reconsider. Maybe.

It will depend on how actively people use custom trust lists. I think the next month's DT1 will look different, likely larger. There's probably going to be some inclusion-begging LOL
Do I smell a new type of Service thread? "DT1 Inclusions for sale"? Roll Eyes
2550  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:11:47 PM
I don't think you get booted off unless one of the criteria no longer applies. I could be wrong! I'm guessing the fastest way of getting kicked out will be exclusions by other DT1 members.
That's my interpretation too. But exclusion wasn't even possible previously (for DT1 members) so that's gonna be interesting. Technically a gang may form in DT1 that would exclude everyone else (sort of a 51% attack) but perhaps it can be countered by more inclusions.
It can form, yes. But this has already been the case for DT2 and has already been executed multiple times. The counters are:
1) Manual intervention by theymos.
2) Wider DT1 making 51% infeasible. Plenty of us, which trust most of each other's ratings, disagree on several issues (e.g. what kind of ratings should be sent to merit abusers and which type of abuse).

How the hell do you not know there is a hierarchical list??
That's the hierarachial list based on MY trust list, not an overview of current DT1/DT2!

How the hell did you pull out a post from 2015 so quickly?
2551  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 07:02:43 PM
my main account is off DT2
I'll take 10% of the blame for that - I had you in my list but recently I replaced my custom list with the default for debugging purposes... so that screwed up my own eligibility and possibly some others. Will have to wait for the next month. And I'm hoping many other users will treat this change as a kick in the butt to go and set up their custom lists.
Added him back too. Time to put some more effort into list maintenance.

Note/Request: Theymos it might be worth to have a link where you can view current DT list (hierarchical) if it doesn't exist already.
2552  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: January 09, 2019, 06:56:15 PM
Interesting changes, my main account is off DT2, my trust rating went up, and amazingly Laura went from being excluded on DT2 to being DT1!
Well if you consider that I am only rightfully excluded by one person, i.e. OgNasty then it does make sense. TC is inactive, HostFat's exclusions is political retaliation due to the bcash scam.

So, someone Red on one month, can become Green on the very next month?
Doubtful. The DT1 list won't completely change from what I understood:

I will periodically (maybe every month) be reconstructing the default trust list to include everyone who matches these criteria:
Unless you lose some of the criteria, you will stay.

I'm guessing this could be the result of you being excluded earlier, which may have caused more people to add you to their custom lists in order to see your red tags.
Possibly, yeah. This would explain why some random abuser asked me about red trust in the past hour.

For example, Lauda wasn't even on DT2 until those changes came into effect. With her/his inclusion into the DT1 list, tons of users are now red. If she/he gets out of DT1/DT2 next month, those users will go back to normal.
I don't think you get booted off unless one of the criteria no longer applies. I could be wrong! I'm guessing the fastest way of getting kicked out will be exclusions by other DT1 members.

Oh jeesh, here comes the drama again.

While it isn't what I had envisioned, the change is welcome. I certainly didn't expect to find myself in DT1 with this change. Shocked
Note/Request: Theymos it might be worth to have a link where you can view current DT list (hierarchical) if it doesn't exist already.

Loyce, time for fresh data dumps!

2555  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod, what's with "bozo"? :D on: January 08, 2019, 07:35:19 PM
If I were to start using the word bozo, would that be sufficient proof that there is some kind of secret gang here?
2556  Economy / Reputation / Re: Anyone think saulzaents is a bought/hacked account? Looking for sleuths. on: January 08, 2019, 09:20:56 AM
The same way that the quality can completely degrade after an account gets compromised, it can also greatly improve. It really comes down to the person that acquired/compromised the account. I agree with you in this case (unusual, but definitely compromised).

Bonus points: Old merit trader that I've tagged. Cheesy
2557  Other / Meta / Re: Is the Default trust system still working/active? on: January 08, 2019, 09:03:29 AM
I count 3890 users with a custom trust list:
That's rather surprisingly low. Thanks for parsing that, I've always wondered how many people used custom lists!
2558  Economy / Reputation / Re: A moderator has given me a red trust accusing me of something that I am not. on: January 06, 2019, 12:43:22 PM
The name is quite misleading. Even if you don't mean harm, a takeover of your account could do harm. Therefore, the rating is justified.

Theymos: If you have the time, maybe you can change his username? This way, gmaxwell may reconsider the neg trust. Smiley
Hopefully this doesn't take forever.

Is there an approximate time when the distribution will be?
The distribution details can be found in OP anyways.

Update: All sheets have been finalized and are found in the master spreadsheet. The rest is up to the Vena team.
2560  Other / Meta / Re: Can we regulate the trust system ? on: December 26, 2018, 11:33:34 AM
I will simply say if we can create the system  that DT feedback will be applicable only if it supported by 2 other DTs.
Great, I can finally get double the amount of "Lauda gang" complaint threads. Roll Eyes
