2541  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who are THEY? Are they Muslim? on: May 16, 2015, 02:35:13 PM
Another thread about Islam, amazing! We should rename this section in "Islam & Islam" ... 'Politics & Society' is not more appropriate. //  just a little bit of sarcasm, why not.

I think Islam doesn't teach muslim to kill other people and no one of my friend or muslims that I know told me the contrary. So I think they can proclaim themselves muslim, but they are not muslims (in my point of view).

Most Muslims are probably reasonably peaceful, just like most other people.

The writings of Islam leave a door open for people who are not peaceful. How do Islamic Writings do this? By suggesting that violence is okay at some times, and required at other times. There are many examples listed at http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm of violence listed in the Quran and elsewhere in Islamic writings. Here are several, translated:
Quote
Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief or unrest] is worse than killing... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful.   And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone.  But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)"  (Translation is from the Noble Quran)  The verse prior to this (190) refers to "fighting for the cause of Allah those who fight you" leading some to believe that the entire passage refers to a defensive war in which Muslims are defending their homes and families.  The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, however, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries.  In fact, the verses urge offensive warfare, in that Muslims are to drive Meccans out of their own city (which they later did).  Verse 190 thus means to fight those who offer resistance to Allah's rule (ie. Muslim conquest).  The use of the word "persecution" by some Muslim translators is disingenuous (the actual Arabic words for persecution - "idtihad" - and oppression - a variation of "z-l-m" - do not appear in the verse).  The word used instead, "fitna",  can mean disbelief, or the disorder that results from unbelief or temptation.  This is certainly what is meant in this context since the violence is explicitly commissioned "until religion is for Allah" - ie. unbelievers desist in their unbelief.

Quran (2:244) - "Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things."

Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."  Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time.  From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot.

Because of these things written in the Quran, there are times when Muslims who do not fight are going against Islam.

Personally, since I am a rather peaceful person, I would not want to be Muslim, simply because there is that in the writings that seem to prescribe fighting and violence, and even hate.

Check the link. There are many other verses with explanation.

Smiley

What if a muslim that he is a person like me and you don't agree with these sentence? I think he will be a better muslim, because it is really no sense kill someone else in name of a God... really insane. I should read that book ( Quran and also the Bible) in their 'native' language to understand more better the sense.. the arab one for the Quran and ... what is the native language of the Bible?

The problem is: I do not know the Arab language  Lips sealed.
2542  Other / Meta / Re: PICISI (Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, an Ideas) on: May 16, 2015, 02:27:26 PM
I, personally, no longer give a fuck about this place. It's hit the scumbaggery critical mass a while ago, it's no longer about bitcoin. It's about making money off bitcoin, about *selling* warez & hacked accounts, about loansharking and getting pickpocketed in the lending section, about running second-rate scams in the "securities" section, about buying and selling accounts, about posting shit just to get paid from a sig ad, about running ponzis and about fucking moron marks who "play" them.

Well, you must give a "fuck" if you keep posting here.  I know when I lose respect for a website I just leave.  I don't continue to engage with it.  I don't feel a need to insult the others who still go there.  And I certainly don't make a throw away account - I always stand behind my words.

But you're right about the shitfest.  It seems to come in waves - some weeks there is a lot of scamming and then other weeks there is hardly anything at all.

(Time to move on from this thread.  Look forward to the new Pickissy website next week!)

Can I say you one thing? Without receive any negative trust from you (it could be really useless):

Why the 'official' PICISI account (so he should be Armis) is posting in your 'locked' thread? Because correct me if I'm wrong, is Armis the creator of this 'project'?
2543  Other / Meta / Re: Pickissy! on: May 16, 2015, 02:10:24 PM
We have decided we will use this name instead - Pickissy - as our official website and forum account. This will avoid any claims that we are trying to impersonate the account "PICISI" or the scammer account "Armis".

It is the phonetic pronunciation of our website name.  Pick-issy

Pickissy - Exposing the Long Con

The Meta thread is turned in a big place for a troll, newbie and not newbie... more times I have passed here and more things I have learned , one ot these things "there is always someone that will try to ruin your reputation (but this is how it works and fortunately the trust system should be not moderated so everyone can make his own conclusion)."

Now they will start to search who is "Nick Szabo". I have found an interesting thread :

- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=8602.0

The best post  Cheesy:

Who is Satoshi Nakamato? ==> Who is Nick Szabo? ==> Who is ___ ?

How far are you prepared to go down that rabbit hole? I think a common level of protection is 7 abstraction layers of proxies. Good luck Alice.
2545  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 01:54:08 PM
...I know at some point merchants will dump the coins they earned via sales. I only meant to say that instead of directly having 100% converted to fiat, they keep a part of the coins for a while to sell it for a better price later.
In this way the dump will continue, and it is normal (and needed). Because if someone is selling <> someone else is buying and this is the  ecosystem also bitcoin cannot 'exempt' from this system.

I'm sure tech related companies will have more interest in doing so than non techies.
It could be possible, who knows...

Continuation of the thread title:

... the next block reward halving? from 25 BTC to 12.5 BTC.

Or a modified question:

Do you really think the bitcoin price (not value) will jump again to 1000 dollars (without any manipulation)? and will you buy 1 bitcoin for 1000 USD?

First question no the halving pump won't go to $1000 lucky if it goes $350. Second question.. No bitcoin will not go to $1000 again even with manipulation helping it. If I am honest I don't really care either I started with less than I have now and I have withdrawn more than I started it is a win win and the price is not something I let bother me anymore.

Thanks for the reply, it seems a lot of 'bitcoiner' are really mad about this situation. For a lot of people the unique important thing is the price more than the technology behind it (I am also one of these people...).
2546  Other / Meta / Re: PICISI (Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, an Ideas) on: May 16, 2015, 01:34:23 PM
No one has the 'power' to proclaim himself the 'official account'. Armis has said that Official PICISI or Offical PICISI is not the official forum account of the PICISI 'project'.

The owner of the company has the right to state an official account.  The anonymous account Armis owns no company - he just pretends to, to solicit fraudulent donations.

Vod, is this your doings? Creating imposter accounts that are meant to appear be an account associated with someone that takes money from others (be it donations or otherwise) is generally considered scammy behavior. Although this may or may not be the intention, it would be very easy to use this account to get Armis's customers/sponsors/donators to give you money when that is not the intention.

I believe the intention of the Official PICISI account is to build a parody/education website dedicated to exposing long term scams, as he outlined in his post on my thread.  I believe it's covered under Fair Use and is perfectly legal, esp since Armis doesn't own any trademarks - he is just all talk.  There is no way a reasonable person would confuse the "Official PICISI" account with Armis since the website is called under a different name and Armis doesn't even have a website yet.

If there is any indication of scammy behavior on that thread - if he tries to impersonate Armis or solicit any money - if he even posts a bitcoin address - I will join you in leaving negative trust on his account.   Let's watch his Last Online and see if he is logging in to impersonate and scam.

In the meantime, let's give it a week and see what happens.  Who knows?  Armis may decide to do the right thing and step out of the shadows and I believe the Official PICSIS account when he claims he will step down and cease all operations.

And if he doesn't, PICSIS will become the fake account since he will be poaching on a registered trademark.  Smiley

Not exactly, again: it is not necessary an official account because Armis can write from his own forum account. I am waiting for more information and proofs to make my own conclusion Wink.

Thanks for everything.

EDIT:

Can someone explain me why Vod gave 2 negative trust, instead to give him one with all the details? Wait .. wait... I can't understand all the story behind this thread. I am neutral and I would like to understand more and the complete story.

2548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 01:23:27 PM
It is very possible, I can't think of a reason why it shouldn't go over $1000 with high demand and great news after 2016.

The only thing I hope for is that merchants at some point will keep at least 50% of the Bitcoins that they generate via sales, instead of converting 100% of the amount into fiat currency.
It is only an expectation, and if we will hope for ever .... I think you know what will happen.I do not think they will hold, if the price will be good they will dump a large sum of bitcoin.

yes I am sure it will hit 1000$ when next block reward halving, even we can see 3000$ price, but I will not buy bitcoin at that price, I will sell some of my bitcoins for celebration
1 minute after the halving, or after some months/years? Give us your ETA  Grin.

Let's break 250$ first...
Exactly... I believed 1k dollars for a long time but the price cannot raise neither to 500 dollars  Roll Eyes.

eventually, although I wouldnt worry too much about long term goals. Focus instead on steady growth and expanding userbase.
Thanks for your opinion.

Thank you for pointing this out redsn0w - I would hate to have started my new company with a spelling mistake.

There is no need for your security, even though it is commendable.  I don't intend to delete anything - I plan on conducting myself with morals and ethics as the proud owner of the official "PICKISSY" website.      Smiley

It is still really strange, however this will only continue and extend the time to resolve this situation (and I do not think it is necessary an official account, it is present "Armis" ... so what is the purpose to post from another account ?).
2550  Other / Meta / Re: PICISI (Philanthropic Investment and Charity for Inventions, Startups, an Ideas) on: May 16, 2015, 01:03:00 PM
Look at my post history, this account didn't appear to falsely accuse a project. Show proofs and stop being a cry baby. You don't answer questions and you look your thread. There's no credibility in your actions so far. Try to take the identity of an other entity is what scammer might be pushed to do. Are you a scammer VOD?

...
There's no credibility in your actions so far.

Hypocrite much?  You are using an anonymous account to poach our company name and solicit fraudulent donations in our company name.  No credibility in that and it makes us look bad.

We've generously given you a week.  Hope you make use of it!   Talk to you then.

The OFFICIAL PICISI account.

No one has the 'power' to proclaim himself the 'official account'. Armis has said that Official PICISI or Offical PICISI is not the official forum account of the PICISI 'project'.

Wait... it is really strange. Why that account has posted in the Vod's thread (I remember to have seen it locked)  Roll Eyes? It is a really immature comportment if it was discovered that the account is managed by Vod itself to make more confusion about this situation.

2552  Other / Meta / Re: -Rep abuse on: May 16, 2015, 12:44:24 PM
-snip-
Why don't you read?? All the games with their normal price total up to $500. The real price which are steam accounts sold, are the total price of all games, when there's a steam sale.. Which is $158. Since i have some shit games, i lowered the price..

I like to see you selling that steam account for $100.

Nobody will buy his 'oudated' steam account with all those old games for 100 dollars.  @Glutius, it is simple ... if you cannot provide a vaild collateral for your loan request of 0.20 bitcoin no one will lend you  1 satoshi. It is a simple 'internal section rule', and a lot of users are following it.

I have only noticed 'he' has wrong to write the forum username : Offical PICISI.

This is the quoted post for reference:

This post serves as my legal claim as the official bitcointalk account of the official PICISI (pronounced Pickissy) website.  I believe I am the first account to make this claim.

The website will be a parody/education tool on long term cons using a non-reversible currency.  It will discuss the methods and tactics used by some of bitcoin's most nefarious long con scammers.  I will announce the website address at the end of next week.

Note: This claim and forum account is backed by the Fair Use right.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

Additional Nice Guy Note:  I am offering until the end of next week to allow for any opposing claims.  If there are legal documents presented to me by the end of next week, showing proof of a legitimate company registration in the same name, I will withdraw my claim, even though I am not legally required to.  (I'm just a nice guy.)

One could view this as a demand to anonymous scammers to stop collecting charitable donations under imaginary companies (under the promise they will one day register), and do things the legal and proper way.  If this grace period has passed, and no one presents an opposing claim, I will be registering the PICISI trademark myself and will aggressively defend my works.

Further updates will be posted on this thread, which is locked to prevent walls of worthless copy/paste PR garbage.

fees in 2014 : 0,0001 BTC
fees in 2015 : 0,00001 BTC

what is the problem ... ?
ask at the bank to have the same level of depreciate service cost to ... view what they answer ...  Roll Eyes

Fees in 2010 : 0  BTC
Fees in 2011 : 0  BTC
Fees in 2012 : 0  BTC

bitcoin is still better than a bank, the unique problem is the fluctuation of the price. I really want to see what will happen when the block reward will be less than the total block fee (around 2030 we will have less than 1 bitcoin as reward....  Grin can you imagine what will it happen?).
2556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 11:51:50 AM
I think the price wil go down, because a lot of people will start to use and keep always bitcoin instead to convert it for FIAT currencies...

Why do you think the price will go down if more people are keeping and using their BTC?  That doesn't make any sense to me.

Fixed in the above post, you are right .. for one moment I thought the contrary.
2557  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 11:47:34 AM

It seems the 'actual developments' will not bring bitcoin to 1k dollars.

I was referring more to ecosystem developments, but they do go hand in hand with improved technical functioning which is indeed pretty stale. There's no point in building all this awesome stuff if only a tiny number of people can actually use Bitcoin itself.

Exactly, but if a lot of people will start to think bitcoin is better than actual economic system why should they convert (or change) BTC for FIAT currencies? I would like to edit and fix my previous post, maybe they will only start to buy a lot of bitcoin to use them directly and that thing can 'pump' the price. But as always, it need an external sort of manipulation and the developments will not cause the rise of the price.
2558  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: La mia trust list on: May 16, 2015, 11:38:38 AM

2559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 11:33:56 AM
If it does get back there again it'll have to be for a far more convincing reason this time around. Considering the developments that are arriving thick and fast, it becomes more possible by the day.

Would I buy at $1000? Yes, but only replacing what I'm spending. I have enough coins.

It seems the 'actual developments' will not bring bitcoin to 1k dollars, in these months we have talked only about the "hard fork" of the blockSize - named "Gavin fork". So I sincerely think the bitcoin itself will not sustain itself, and we need again the willy bot (sarcasm).
2560  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 11:30:47 AM
When it reaches 1k again I will buy 1 bitcoin for $1000 to celebrate.

Fantastic, but remember if you want that the price remains around 1000 dollars a lot of people should continue to buy Wink. However I like your optimism, but I think only the speculation will bring again bitcoin more high than now (or it will be destroyed/dumped to 10 dollars).
