Sad to see that you guys had an accident like that and yea seatbelts can sometimes be a deathtrap instead of a lifesaver :S .. it is understandable that such an event leaves a mark on the person. But as long as you 3 Got out  alive Smiley !

Regarding the 2nd post, its ok man.. Imo we all had a similar experiance with Parents, my dad shot at me and beat me too untill my ears bled while mom had to watch (i came out pretty good , my oldest Brother is disabled cause of dads actions).. I think that the force is connecting us all to meet at this place and share this experiance with each other . It is ok and it is not our fault bro Smiley

I agree.
Both of my parents, however, refused to use seatbelts in a car for decades. They preferred paying the fines.

Also long time rallye champion car back then.
I got some great action photos of it from the late 70's, which my father shot. (YES, my mum was a rallye co-pilot), but unfortunately in a Peugeot racing team.
Hmm, by the way, i have to dig the storage soon again for some nice infrared photos  Cool

Wooo Really ? Your mom was an Co-Pilot in Rallye? THATS SO COOOOOL !!! Your mom must be really badass Cheesy doesnt matter if it was Peugeot.. It takes serious balls to get into a Rallye  car with a Pro Driver Cheesy !
Looking forward to it Smiley

Sry i turn 100% kid when i talk about this stuff. Motorsports are the best thing in the world for me Smiley

Crashed quite a few cars in this short timespan i am on this Planet xD

I too think that having a mom that was a "co-pilot" is a great thing to brag about.   Very Cool indeed !!!!   Those Rally folks are fearless.

She likely was. But also troubled. I can remember intense fights between my parents when i was a boy and she did beat me up like a man a couple of times.
Before going deeper into private memories now, i better stop here.

She must have been cool back then, when i still wasn't born. It was amateur-racing, though. Things changed when my parents' car was hit by a truck in France. My mother was pregnant. She was pushed out of the car from the co-drivers seat, including the door. My dad ended up on her seat, injured but also alive. She told me that she became a very nervous driver afterwards. Shit happens, though we three got very lucky. There was no obligation for using seatbelts in the 70's, if they would have used them, they both probably wouldn't have survived the accident. Lucky me.

let's see. $16131 and $37516

Pounded a while against $36.450 and then fell. Next time, for sure...

But then he must have copied the wallet.dat from a computer... what happened to that?

That one had a boating accident.

He did say he had some other bitcoins from much later. I think of it as tuition fee. In 2011. It was probably worth another pizza.

Pizza got so expensive lately  Cheesy
Bitcoin, you go over $36.666 so i can sleep relaxed again, will you?

But at the same time, I think that something has to be done about the spreading of incitement and untruths.

https://bolenreport.com/saul-alinskys-12-rules-radicals/

without having read it in detail, i only skimmed it, i don't understand where this fear of a socialist state comes from.

don't you distinguish between communism and socialism? i live in a social democratic country and can't understand this bashing of socialism. i'm glad that the state has various social safety nets and i'm willing to pay for them.

social democratic is not socialims. GDR (german democratic republic - eastern germany bevor 1990) was socialism. Cuba was socialism. The whole easten countries before 1990 were mostly socialism. Now you can ask yourself. What is maybe bad on socialims and why had the GDR shoot people to death on their borders, who only wants to leave the county (to west germany).
Socialism doen't work without force and suppression. In the end you have to shoot people who wants to leave your socialist paradise, because in the end your country will be empty. Damit, it's only 30 years ago, halve of europe were socialist paradises. History show us socialims is bad. All the time. And no, if you say, that's not real socialism and you would made it beter than all the others, than you are someone with a megalomanic complex. socialism doesn't work. and a social democracy like here in germany is basically capitaism with a social net for people who has no work. And this system cost hugh amount of money. And it will collapse, if we continue this here. But this is another story.

Seconded.
As long the (DDR) GDR existed, it was a No-Go in the western culture to regularly spy on their citizens. It was a GDR-thing and the soviet were heavily criticized for it.
When the berlin wall was falling, western countries started mass surveillance, because the "black sheep" has died, and the GDR, the #1 bad example, ceased to exist.
Back then, the eastern german "Stasi" (state police) were the "bad guys". Now we are. A genius move, when you think about that.

Is it me or every attempt of recovery is being dumped on??

Do bears want to auto-fulfill the head and shoulders prophecy?  Huh

Seems like so. Also obviously, when a round number is hit ($35k today), price goes down, sellwalls appear out of nowhere and we go down again the way up is temporarily blocked.
Pro tip for your own sanity: Zoom out  Grin

Count 1 and 1 together? New miner hardware on the horizon, perhaps? miners selling old gear lately, perhaps?

EDIT: Even the most perfect H&S is no guarantee for a drop. This would also serve as a motivation for whale manipulation (if you believe in such things).

EDIT2: Additionally, there is a nice 4h triangle forming. We know bitcoin can go anywhere upon completion. For example, i called the last triangle to be bullish, that was right before the 2nd dip a few days ago. Corn does, what corn does. It goes up (if you zoom out).
2552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 13, 2021, 10:00:31 AM
can't understand this bashing of socialism

It's a gateway to Communism.

everything can be a gateway, but the gateway is not your enemy. look at the failed drug policy in which soft drugs are portrayed as dangerous gateway drugs.

You mean alcohol, nicotine and pharmaceuticals?
Damn right, yo.

EDIT:
Reality check.
THC as a gateway drug: Myth debunked.
Alcohol and nicotine as soft drugs: Myth debunked.
Politics and healthcare adjusting: Myth debunked.

Sad but true.

Overall, I find the orange man laughable, but at the same time i have no issue taking his side on censorship and being against big tech colluding to blacklist Parler. Guess i'm the minority that's able to think across the made up lines

that is true. I don't like the development where big tech companies decide which content and which ideologies are displayed and which are not.

But at the same time, I think that something has to be done about the spreading of incitement and untruths.

You can't have it both ways. People need to think for themselves. You can't have truth or thought police. This path leads to the dark side.

This is what you get from MSM.
Time for a new abbreviation. MSSN (mainstream social networks)?

Just no more red candles, pleeeeze   Grin

Not only twitter other social media sites like Facebook,  WhatsApp, Signal, Viber also banned
https://www.rocketnews.com/2021/01/uganda-regulator-orders-social-media-shutdown-before-tense-polls/
also Reddit banning all Bitchute links, tiny url be busy

Was merely pointing out their hypocrisy in light of recent event, i find twitter response hilarious.

There were some reports coming out that Twitter and other social media platform were busy banning the pro gov accounts, its election time so Uganda did good...

In future news:
Titter suspending accounts of users with opinions. Gatorade not affected.

However, violence needs to be addressed at its sources

Violence needs to be addressed at 'violence' level, not on people 'having wrong opinions' level.

Yes, when you failed in preventing violence at educational and mindset levels, you have to address it at the "violence level".
In complex system theory, the latter would be a great example for a fail, however.

So... full-scale cultural revolution and re-education camps?

If our goal is to 'prevent violence' at all costs, I guess we must ban boxing, UFC, 'toxic masculinity', video games and movies?

Nope.
"ban" if not violence, is at least force. Should be avoided.
Did i already say it's an educational problem at its roots?
We can only address future generations with broad success, but we need to actually start at some point.

... they easily believe in conspiracy theories (the Alex Jones type), and, wait for it, they are almost exclusively devoted Christians! How perverse is that? How can they reconcile and combine the teachings of Christianity with misanthropic and violent attitudes and behaviour?

Well, christianity is very unlike to what the church was actually historically teaching. (judged by their past actions like inquisition etc.)
It's a basic form of separation the unworthy and the blessed. This is where all the trouble begins: comparison, judgement, condemnation (in this order).

Quote
Is society creating new waves of repressed psychopaths? What is the cause of this? What can be done about it?

Educating and getting aware of the human ego. The entity in our minds that is responsible for judging and comparison of what's "good" and "bad".
The "bad" guys always think they're doing things for "good". Almost nobody is aware of that aspect of human thinking.
Schizophrenia or some kinds of drugs make us able to separate from and observe it.

I don't give a shit if 90% of the protestors were just marching. The 10% of the ones that stormed the capital are all felons and should be charged as such and all the congressmen/woman and Trumps and his sycophants should be charged with sedition.

You snowflakes crying about social media bans. I will drink all your pansy ass tears. You don't get to storm the capital and try to kill people in this country. These people deserve every ban they get.

Cry me a river with your treason.

But in Syria, Libya, Irak ......  you can do that and much worse???

Yuck!

Also, it's not being "extreme left" to prevent people from organizing a coup and lynchings, it's called civilization.

With that type of logic book burning can be justified indeed.
I see it as a slippery slope like I said. Others see it as a good thing for the greater good.

As pointed out that greater good is slowly controlled only by billionaires.

Book burning by whom ? We're talking about private companies here. And usually on bitcoin forums people don't have problems with billionaires, but I guess there are exceptions.

And you think it's ok for a few private companies to control what we can and can not say?

When People got sick of twitter and started to migrate to Parler, Twitters owner called Amazons owner and asked him to shut down Parlers servers to kill the competition. A blatant abuse of power, and probably against US antitrust and other laws.

Consider that AWS has already a history of such "measures". At least they seem to be "fair" in terms of unbiased (left/right) but maybe just picky about following their rules (terms of service). Sometimes more, sometimes less. However, violence needs to be addressed at its sources, and i see this principle applied here. There are many other channels, and also a history (everyone remember the "hotline" client/server network?).

In addition, you only have to go back 10 years before the Brexit vote and find out that in fact the Liberal Democrats wanted an in out referendum as well. Nothing to do with Robert Mercer or Nigel Farage.

Populism made almost all the difference.
UK is about to wake up with quite a hangover after the brexit party.

That's not true, as a free independent nation they can now make trade deals with the rest of the world instead of just the EU.

They will start building a free trade area with just about everyone as soon as they can.
And that area will soon be bigger then the EU, mark my words.
Remember EFTA, that Austria used to be part of before joining the EEC? That was started by the British.

I value your opinion, especially because you have far better historic knowledge than me.
This will become quite interesting. I think the UK may be in a weak position to set up trade agreements BUT the EU is already slowly dismounting itself from the inside.
So relative to the EU, the UK might end up stronger mid/long term, quite likely imo.

2559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 12, 2021, 12:03:54 AM

That is about as real a take as it gets, you must live in the UK.
In a democracy the majority decide, not the educated, the elite, the left or right.
Most who voted leave had held that view long before a referendum was called.
The only people who did not see the leave majority vote coming, were the entire mainstream media, the well heeled elite, the so called educated classes, and the Labour party who think they know whats good for working people without asking them.

And you can't influence and manipulate the majority, can you?
You seem to undervalue mass psychology, imho.

Anyway, bitcoin does one thing since the genesis block, and that is: surprise us.
When i go by the least popular opinion, imo the sustained continuation of a bull run, for example.
It seems that sideways and down are the more popular expectations, so bitcoin is likely up to do something else  Wink
But this is another attempt to project the past onto future events, tbh. May fail as well, and certainly will at some point  Cool

After 8 years of trying I converted a nocoiner friend yesterday and they were lucky enough to buy the dip.

possibly the birth of a new hodler?

@Bloqport
Bitcoin surges an average of 153% after every 30% pullback 🔥
https://twitter.com/bloqport/status/1348742623809384450?s=21

These +153% would bring us into $80k territory, which the tarot grandma of a WO predicted recently (didn't remember his nickname).

When zooming out, the correction looks just right. Breaking the parabola and returning to trusty, old linear projection.
Shy investors will possibly like this, too.
Confidence.

EDIT: and good night!
