No live pics, only race data.

EDIT: Out of sMerit, so +1 WOsMerit for the livestream (no sound, though, but it's cool for me without)

Birth of a legend?
 Cool Cool Cool

Anyone with a link to a free livestream?

I just got back from seeing a friend. He's been in and out of Bitcoin since 2017 (lost money of course). Did the usual what about these shitcoins thing, which I dismissed as well as I could. Anyway he said he has been trying to withdraw as much equity from his home as he can for the last several weeks. Should get it in a week or 2. He then says he was going to buy bitcoin with it when it was in the 50s and now he's really glad that it fell because he's going to be able to buy much more.

He agreed with me that holding was the way, lessons from past sales learnt.

Foolish, I will say though that if you are in your 20's go for it lol... you can recover from losses in your early years and learn a lesson, not in your later years (50 +)

someone bought at $60k +, wonder how they are feeling right now

My wife bought at $60k+  Grin
She's feeling fine, because i taught her not to look at the chart for quite a while after buying. Regardless, she's #hodling so she won't care shit about this correction some years later.
Half of my buys turned to "losses" afterwards, in the long run every buy turned into a gain. This will continue as long as i hodl and the absolute top was not in yet.
Sure, i feel regretful when Bitcoin price is falling, every time. But it's because i think Bitcoin is much more worth than that and it should only go up (which it does, in the long run).

Some of us are just still used to the rising from Q4/2020 to the beginning of Q2/2021.
It's like "bull's hangover", which is to be followed by recovery and finally you go to another party next weekend.
1885  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 28, 2021, 08:22:34 PM
Since it's shortly before EOM i bought a little of this dip  Cool
It's going on and on and on  Grin

LOL
I'm a hodler, for 96% of my stash (and slowly growing).
4% are destined for financing building extensions to my house, those will be spent soon, so it's 100% hodl from that time on.
So far i was always in profit - in long and medium terms.

It's future expiry time again, isn't it?

Better than my guess for the contest:

69,820  MishaMuc
70,000  philipma1957
70,500  Slot Kid
71,500  fillippone
72,239  cAPSLOCK*
72,400  Phil_S
72,555  OutOfMemory

What if the price is $ 72,401?
Would Phil_S win, because his guess is more close or would i win, because the price would be over Phil_S's guess?

Maybe  Grin
I'm definitely not normal, but in a good way  Cheesy

Slow upwards grind now until the end of summer & then moon? We can hope hey but oh my, those couple of weeks were horrible. I have to admit I was petrified haha, sold nothing though.

Why would you? Unless you'd need the fiat, of course.

I need to learn some terminology, what's slicing?

Holy moly 2900 bucks A YEAR for autodesk.

I have recently just got into 3D printing myself (funny how that happens hey)
Picked up an ender 3 V2 and really enjoying the experience.
I am now about to embark on building my own from scratch based on the Hypercube Evolution.
BTW I use CURA for slicing.
Seems to do a very reasonable job and I also play around with tinkercad and have had pretty good results so far.
Struggling a little with PETG printing though but PLA is is a breeze.

You always tend to get stringy results with PETG/CEP when you don't have a cabin. Built my own, now it's working much better.

EDIT: And reduce cooling fans to 10% or even "off" when printing PETG, while the travel speed (moving between printing paths) should be as fast as possible, which keeps down the stringing. Print at low speed, about half of PLA.

@Arrie: I'm using "3D Builder" (Yeah, it's Micro$oft, but free) for easy modeling. It's half intuitive. Just define, place and combine (or exclude) simple 3d objects to make more or less complex structures.
Didn't master the learning curve with the free CAD proggies.
I'm using Cura as slicer. Good enough.

Thanks, I'll take a look at that.

However, worth to add is that i found out if you want to model threads, 3D Builder is unusable. You'd need Fusion360 or one of the free 3D CAD programs.
No easy way to get threads, that's why i still cut them in metal and press/glue them into the 3D prints.
1892  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 25, 2021, 09:58:17 PM

...The only thing it will change is you'll become a rich old fuck when you will sell your coins for evil fiat (because you won't be able to buy shit with bitcoins in your lifetime) and still embrace the materialistic consumerist society, whose only aspirations from what i read is slapping models on a yacht and buyin lambos  Cheesy

Slapping models? ...Lambos? ...Yachts?!
You sure mean a different thread...
We here are all about humping cows on the golf course of a bigass ranch in the middle of Nowhere, Texas.

Wait, are you one of those future-kids?

Buy the dip

Thanks, two years ago i had my vasectomy which cost me $600.
Now you basically told me i could have bought the 2019 Dip with $70k instead...  Roll Eyes

EDIT: I just wanted to tell you guys, i had to sell (less than 1% of my stash) to be able to pay my new doors for the house extension, almost exactly at trend reversal.
I knew this. I just had no choice. NOT a Mindrust event.
I wish they could have delivered the doors with one or two weeks of delay  Angry

Those must have been some MIGHTY doors  Wink

Unfortunately not. Prices increased roughly 30% this production cycle, the doors are solid, higher quality and sound damping, for sleeping rooms of me&wife and our youngest child's room, right next to it. Hey, i'm not the youngest but i still have a sex life  Cheesy

EDIT: Forgot the main point. It's not the price of the doors, it's more the size of the stash. But i'm good, i could still be a nocoiner, you know...

1897  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 23, 2021, 08:22:57 PM

Looking for a double bottom there?
1900  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 23, 2021, 06:00:48 PM
Did it ever went down midcycle (similar position) below the prior ATH?
Nope. Therefore, unless we are witnessing something entirely new, somewhere around 25K could be a "natural" attractor because it corresponds to roughly 61.8% decline (Fib number) IF we will go below the prior one (50%, where we are right now, give or take).

Because of this, it either bounce here or at 25K (plus minus a thou or half a thou), IMHO.

With so many liquidated leveraged trades, the "bounce" will likely start as a "crawl".
But anyway, i'm good with how things are. Mostly anytime.
