Part of me is fucking concerned if I’m honest.

My gut is telling me S2F falls apart soon. In shambles and an afterthought by March 2022.

Hope I'm wrong, but I think we should expect a slower rise than some are anticipating.

seconded.
But by all means, i don't follow the "fool of the bulls" argument from Torque. Bulls know how capitulation looks like, wait for it then and get in (around the infamous "mindrust point").

Even though I can recognize some value in a buying a dip approach, many of us need to be careful with any such approach that is going to hold large quantities of our fiat waiting for dips that do not end up happening.

Of course, we are going to feel smart as fuck if we end up buying upon a mindrust kind of moment.. but those kinds of moments are definitely difficult to identify and/or prepare for.

I am not really writing my response for you OOM, but instead about your seemingly misleading comment in regards to your rendition of your buying on the dip intentions/practices.

Let's say that anyone who has already accumulated a decent bitcoin stash, but that same person is trying to time some of the BIGGER BTC price swings in order to get some additional profits from what is a somewhat inevitability in bitcoin, which is decently high volatility.  So, a kind of presumption is that person is already pretty well prepared for UP, they just want to supplement their BTC stash with some additional BTC from the quite likely inevitable BTC price dips.  My suggestion would still be to figure out some kind of a formula that attempts to anticipate the most extreme that we might expect any dip to be able to go, and to stagger buys at various points on the way down, and surely still hopefully being able to take advantage of the most extreme aspects of the extremes... if those extremes were to end up happening.

One possible measurement would be to use weekly moving averages, and I consider the 208-week moving average (currently $16,000-ish) to be the now current measure of extreme of BTC price lows for bear markets and the 104-week moving average (currently $24,000-ish) to be the now current measure of extreme BTC price lows for bull markets.  Accordingly, staggered buy (buy on dip) orders could be set to go down to something around those levels of extremes..

I hilighted the part my "seconded" was referring to. The slower than anticipated price rise. Some WO's granny predicted 80k (we don't know if € or $, yet), and i feel this could also be the top in 2021, while it absolutely says nothing about 2022, maybe in Q1 we can see double figures or three times as much before possible blowoff or consolidation.
All just SOMA.

As for moveing averages, i'd search for those that fit past cycles best. I don't care if i set most of my orders higher, just to avoid remaining, sitting on a bag of slowly decreasing fiat money. $16k would be more than four times as much as 2019's bottom, which you could clearly see (and i bought a little of BTC when it was on the rise again, shortly after). I mean that last high-volume drop up to -45%. Even if it doesn't happen in future times, when you sell on the way up, which i got a small part of my stash for, it doesn't really matter if you buy around mindrust or 10-20% higher, also if the price goes deeper before rising again. So i won't make 1000% of the amount i sold on the way up, but 700-800% which is enough. Imagine 5BTC, total, i decide to sell 0.5 more or less near the cycle top and buy 2-3 at the bottom +10%, i still total at least 6.5 BTC.
Being greedy (daytrading) didn't really work for me, so i'm playing the patience game, dropping free money into small dips.

However, i'd need a new car within the next two years, solar power my home and pay off approx. $12k to the government to free myself from a payback plan from the government. Only the latter is really important, because otherwise i'd have to pay it off for the next 15 years for about double as much (mainly interest).
I can easily hodl the majority of my/the family stash for one or two decades.

You are not going to get any arguments from me in regards to attempting to anticipate and prioritize your expenses... which I agree is a good thing to do at the best of your ability and perhaps to tweak from time to time too, for example as your wife nags you about how her priorities (or even choices in expenses) might be different from yours.. and you cave in like a little wimp (not even saying that you are an actual wimp, in real life).. .. hahahahaha

My wife is different. We magically seem to agree on the "we want" part of expenses, while she pays the "i want" part by herself, and she also has bitcoin (as a reserve for the future), so if she's desperate for more money, she would just pay out a bit of her stash. I am aware that i'm very lucky with her, compared to most couples i know, which become pretty function-oriented partnerships based on compromises. We don't need that.

Y'all remember that get-rich-quick-vs.-not-get poor-slowly quote, right?

For sure.. relatively speaking having bitcoin in your portfolio (whether apportioned appropriately or not) will likely help with the not getting poor aspect.. but there still could be some getting rich more quickly than expected (or more rich than expected) aspects that inadvertently come by holding bitcoin, too.. .even if the getting richie part might not have been the main goal (for sure, it has already happened to quite a few of those of us who have been in a while and have been somewhat aggressive with our approach.. not even saying that 0.21 BTC would not be a good aggressive starting point, currently.. then working your way up to 0.63BTC, then 1 BTC, then 2 BTC, then 10 BTC, then 21 BTC.. etc.. no normie is ever going to need more than 21 BTC, right?).

Also, I remember that you had started out your post by agreeing that S2F is potentially "falling apart soon," but you hardly made any arguments or assertion to support such likely to be baloney "agreement.".. but of course, you (and others) can believe what you want in terms of what are currently the most credible of the BTC prediction models or even to spin (or should it be "roll"?) your own likely to be wrong and based on gut feelings BTC price prediction model(s), too.

Edited a few of the above ideas 30 minutes after the original post, to clarify what I had been attempting to say

I believe in S2F, but as you can see, the "ballpark lines" (steps?) are long at the same levels, so the top could be in Q2, even in Q3 of 2022.
But then, as i originally meant it, the price will have to rise more slowly than compared to 2017.
The model is not "wrong", but imprecise. The market has to move a fucking lot of money to re-draw 2017's chart this year. Call me bearish, but i doubt that.
I would not be angry in any way if i'm wrong and we see $330k or more in dec/jan, but more the opposite.
BTW: Have you had a look into S2FX, yet?

How bout you two open a side-bet on the 2021/22 top price?
below or above $200k, BTC only, with escrow. (Mr. D.?)

Sure thing, just let me know. Got a segwit only cold storage wallet already set up. For on-chain, not Lightning yet. But seems they're not interested anyway.

Yeah, it was a kind of semi-joke in the form of "guys, put your money where your mouth is"  Cheesy

Spit out.

Oh noes, such a waste.

Don’t forget that the sun and the sea will take good care of you.
Oh and any antioxidant. Pomegranates are my favourite.

Nooo, alcohol and high uv-radiation levels are not beneficial in curing out a viral infection, generally.
But prevention is a whole different case  Grin

So, if any of you happen to get the Covid19 with slow onset of symptoms, here's a little advice:
Rinse your mouth and gargle your throat with a good single malt (anything with a good amount of %vol will do, though), at best one minute, several times a day.
Spit out. I tried it, it's tough, BUT it's a good method to reduce viral load, which tends to overwhelm the immune system at later stages of infection.
SO if your system doesn't react quickly in a drastic way to the virus, better be safe than sorry. Viral load is a key to immune reaction strength, even if your system is low on power (immunosuppressed) or reacting too slow on initial infection.

Any mouthwater rinse (L*ster'ne) containing a good amount of alcohol will do as well, but if you don't tolerate sorbitol well (like me), the whiskey route is a good alternative.
MIght save one or other WO's or beloved ones life, does no harm either.

Did i already mention i'm a big fan of "life hacks"?

Hope I'm wrong, but I think we should expect a slower rise than some are anticipating.

Tell that to this lying son of a bitch:

December = blowoff top anywhere between $200-450k

Anything above $288k is just not realistic, cause it breaks the S2F from the upper side. Get a grip. Ease the cocaine.

Here's a quote from Plan B himself specially for our little retarded friend:

Quote
According to the S2F model, BTC’s price is supposed to be at $88,531 on July 20, which is nearly three times the current price. In fact, earlier this year, PlanB suggested that Bitcoin could hit $450,000 before the end of this year in the best-case scenario, and $135,000 in the “worst-case scenario.“ Furthermore, the model predicts that Bitcoin is expected to have hit its much-awaited $1 million mark in July 2025.

FYI: Onchain analysts all say that october will all be about rip or dip.
Chances of rip are higher, also based on history, but as we all know, king daddy doesn't care so much about the past.

Somebody mentioned the sentiments are arriving at frustration levels, which usually led to many rocket.gifs posted on WO.

Anybody like to share their thoughts on the current market, price action?

It looks weak AF to me. I mean, I think everything is OK & we should rally in Q4 but we really need to start moving up soon. Part of me is fucking concerned if I’m honest.

... intermediate bottom signal confirmed, face-melting rally can begin now.

Hint: check out the WALLS on Bitstamp, bitfinex and coinbase, they may all be faked but I don't think so.

I CAN'T HELP to think that HFT bots are involved, considering the rate and range at which walls are "moving" in real time.
Also, if you watch for longer times, the same total amounts are set per price range are consantly appearing out of nowhere, getting adjusted on very low timeframes.
I watch them grouped by $10, $50 and $100.
Does that hurt marketcap growth?
Imo yes, a little bit. It makes sure that exchange coins stay in rotation (liquid) while fiat is milked out of the market.
Once the bullish counter-movement (you know what i mean?)  overwhelms the average of ask orders by magnitudes, it's moon time again, while the bots will continue milking, but at less efficiency. If you have all the money up your ass you can't even spend within a lifetime, why milk the market?

Smells like... right: hedgefunds discovered crypto.

EDIT: ...and i didn't even mention Futures and Options yet.

EDIT2: So what can you do? My approach is just go with the flow. Buy the dips, check price less often, and never forget about mindrust.
@LFC, ya hearing me, mah man?

Ignore Lists are like mute buttons. I prefer to see everything and use my scroll wheel.

I get this point in theory.

In practice, time is opportunity cost. I want to maximize my funtime here, and part of that involves curating my experience, much like I do with muting/blocking accounts on Twitter (where I fucked off to, during my absence here)

There are some people I will never agree with, and don't care to read their opinions/content, because it literally is a waste of my time, and a net-negative in my life, so I prefer to curate my experience to optimize time.

I agree with Bob, I have very few on my ignore list, but the ones I have are just time thieves as I see it.

I don't say what he wrote was good.... I skipped a lot.....But even roach a classic ignore for many, but I read some things I enjoyed or could see some humor in... when on ignore, then I would of missed them.

But at the end, an endless discussion if one like to ignore -> perfectly fine (after all thats why the button is there)

I came to the decision, that from today i will only put bots and peeps who ask me to on ignore.
Your original post was also part of making me reconsider if ignore lists match my personal values.
(EDIT: and i used to click show/hide too often, anyway)

Somehow it's too emotional for me today, too many moving memories. i think i'll resort to read-only mode and mix myself a nice, big glass full of gin-tonic (Boar blackforest gin and schweppes dry) for the rest of the evening.

When i went for a visit of our new neighbor, he has a dog, a "muensterlaender", with a muzzle on.
Not all dogs are naturally trustworthy. Normally dogs are showing signs of escalation: Visual fixation, taking an upright and stiff posture, barking, growling, snatching, biting - in this particular order.
This one went right trying to bite my balls, as soon as he saw me getting out of the car and realizing me as a stranger. I was quite "surprised" in a negative way. So quick, without signs of warning.
Not all dogs are mentally "right", and i forbid my kids (they were inside the car) to get near this one. The holder almost lives like an eremite, the dog seems to take care of preserving and protecting the "family constellation", and it does it very seriously. In the world of dogs, he was acting plausible.

Most dog bites are "scare-bites", though, for example when accidentally stepped on the tail by a stranger. I actually had two cases of scare-biting with one of my dogs. The waitress he bit was panicking, rushed to the hospital and this means the doctors have to inform the police about the incident. As the dog was registered, they gave a warning, because the dog would be put down after a second bite. ...which occurred a year later. The renter of the flat i was living in, also scared of dogs, was talking to me through the half opened door, the dog was watching from my side. Then she suddenly stepped forward, my dog rushed to her leg and bit. It was a hostile move, from his point of view, because she was always avoiding to get near him, he must have recognized her like some stranger. It wasn't a hard bite, no blood at all, but she rushed to the hospital as well. I could save his life only because the local police chief was a relative of the renter and no serious injuries were caused (skin haematoma) by the bite, but i had to give him to the boarding kennels where i originally got him from. It's a good place, no cages, just a pack of dogs living almost naturally in a fenced area. It was a five hour drive, but i visited him as often as i could, until he died at the age of seven. It was a custom breed, and the (idiot) breeder incorporated incest into the breeding line, which made all the dogs genetically weak. As far as i know, my dog had the longest life of all dogs of his line. I came to see three other ones, all impaired. Mine was just overly suspicious, took me quite some time to earn his trust as well. The breeder's license got revoked later, too. I also continued to pay the monthly fee for the dog's home, like a recurring donation. They really got a heart for dogs there and the owner was a friend, otherwise he would not have given the dog away.

Gotta look for a pic now...

EDIT: He was also a real beauty, but he always had this worried look.

R.I.P.

Frequently pure name-calling without substance is a sign of lost arguments, and that is why it has its own logical fallacy name.. aka ad hominem attack.

In other words, I have no problem with strategic name calling, but it is likely better to attempt to address substance first, and usually only resort to name calling after the other party has done it first (not saying never to preemptively strike, because there are likely times/situations in which preemptive strikes could be helpful and even the right thing to do, also).

Well, you're right imo, but i even know a few guys (and gals) personally, who seem to unable to even say "hello" without swearing. It is just their version of etiquette, damn loyal people at their hearts, though.
If you are too polite, they will most likely call you a freaking faggot or something like that and tell to GTFO. They remember me a lot of the "cathleen's bike" people.
Back in the days, one told me he will punch out my girlfriends teeth and piss in the "hole", which would be translated to "i don't like what she just said".
So i might be much more used to "bad speech" than most other people.

When somebody is purely name-calling, i would see it as trying to distance himself from the one(s) he's directing his words at.
I guess we all swear and call names inside, but we were taught to keep it there.
Overall, it is considered "verbal violence", but i'd only consider it as violence if the one who is addressed with these wordings is suffering from it. If you continue to hurt somebodies feelings though you are aware, you're probably just an asshole.
All in all, it's a manifestation of the "dark side" we all have within, whether we realize it or not. Better let it out from time to time through filthy words, before somebody gets harmed, maybe even physically.
I believe swearing can be healthy and relieving, if "done right".

EDIT: muhfucka, more than 2000 posts already?!  Shocked I wonder how many of them were kinda "on topic"  Cheesy

Seems to be an emotional day here at the WO folks...
I hope we all will be rewarded with a green $10k candle, which is predicted on twatter for today. But king daddy will just do what king daddy always does: he won't care.

From my point of view, family is much more for whom i care, not who is related to me, could well be an animal, too.

Lately, it seems signs of change pop up virtually everywhere, Bitcoin (and crypto) seems finally to be taken serious by the "laugh about you" peeps.
Hopefully the "fight you" era will turn into a extensive phase of adoption, because then "we all win"!

Sad day…. Lost one of my very best friends today, a dog and it’s unconditional love.

In any case, there's no need for name calling, especially between WO regulars. IMHO.

In my defense, I can't help myself when I see something absolutely retarded, in a place I enjoy investing time in, and say "OMG that's retarded. Howcanyouevenevenrightnow? <BLOCKD LIKE aLySsA MiLaNo YO>"

 Fucking snowflakes.

Name calling is honesty, though.
We were educated that it's not "polite", but i'm fine with it, because actions matter thousand times more than words.
Words are just a lining, decoration or vocally encrypted emotions with a little bit of explicit and/or implicit information as well (the payload).
One can see it as an expressive vocal art form. Think about Eric Cartman (and the fact he has friends, too).

To be honest, i'm trained by one of my sons, who regularly shouts at everbody else, swearing, namecalling...
We let him do. No discussion, though.
A few minutes later he comes back and is deeply sorry, which weighs hundred times more than the words he said before.

One can…. With a perfect scroll finger

I think we're saying the same thing. Read the meme again.

My Ignore List is empty, and always will be. I hate Ignore Lists. They're like selective blindfolds, or tinted glasses. You don't see the whole picture, ugly as it may sometimes be. After all, everyone deserves a second chance, sometimes we act on emotion and may say the wrong thing, this doesn't make us unworthy of expressing an opinion, or unable to learn from our mistakes and revise our stance on things.

Ignore Lists are like mute buttons. I prefer to see everything and use my scroll wheel.

You're right there. I can't rant about society muting minorities and, at the same time, favor the ignore list.
I should read it all, and then decide each time if i want to get me involved. I let the ignore list silently steal this decision from me.

I saw, (and still see) him as an enabler.
This made me very disappointed in him and made me loose a lot of my respect for him.
There's always at least one different view, on any topic. There's no harm done by trying to see it/them as well.

For what it's worth, I'm disappointed with myself, too.

Not sure what I'm enabling, but just need to shrug this off as Arrie and myself not mixing together well.

To be honest, I don't care for or want anyone's respect. I'm just here to have fun. Kinda have a bit of a fresh perspective since taking a break from here and coming back.

I could be an Irishman with dwarfism, working as a foreign government plant, that's been tasked with interacting with this website as an information gathering OP for all you know.

I might even be a woman.

* BobLawblaw shrugs

With enabler I meant helping the cancel culture guys, enabling them to move views they don't like out of the WO. Maybe a poor choice of word.

Yeah, we are usually faster with words than we're aware of the triggering emotions.
I can see valid points in both of your opinions. It's just that the underlying values seem to be very different.
Everybody is struggling with something, under the hood.
This just affects all of our actions without us being aware.

For me, as an example, it's not fitting into this shitty society.
But here in WO it's different and that could well be the reason we're all still here.

Good morning!
I'm back after a nice 11 hour sleep and some coffee.

After some early morning thinking I think I know what started my anger. It was Jimbo's impolite post where he, for no reason, called my thoughts "covid propaganda" and told me to move that "crap" to Bobs thread.
That triggered me, had his post been a normal polite post I would probably just have written a normal post about why I don't like that and then just gone to Bob's thread.

This in combination with my disappointment in Bob triggered my harsh wording, (although I don't think sissy and snowflake are particularly harsh words).

I always figured Bob to be someone who would stand up for free speech and fight against cancel culture and not cave in to snowflake behavior, instead he appeased the "snowflakes" and started a thread for the cancelled. I saw, (and still see) him as an enabler.
This made me very disappointed in him and made me loose a lot of my respect for him.
Having said that, it's not Bobs fault that he doesn't live up to my expectations, so I won't pick on him any further, but I won't be apologizing either, I still think he's an enabler.

During my morning thinking I also realized something about Jimbo, but that's for another occasion.

And by that I'm done with the Bob skirmish.

There's always at least one different view, on any topic. There's no harm done by trying to see it/them as well.
Peace of mind is nothing that is to be found, but it's something that has to be created.

True, but it helps to be in the right environment.
When I moved from the city to the country I felt a piece of mind and a calmness I had never experienced before.

Your environment is affecting us more than we are aware.
In the end, we're just not made to live our life like sardines in a tin box.

Peace of mind is nothing that is to be found, but it's something that has to be created.

Ten Meter Tower (Short Documentary)

Lol what a joke.

Try jumping off a 50ft tower with ground below you and nothing but a rope around your waist.

That gets your heart pumping I'll tell you. Cheesy

Consider, most of them seem ike ordinary people, some of them even look like they get overwhelmed by a decision like choosing between two different cans of cat food to open.
However, the latter were finally jumping, so they went well out of their usual limits.
I know it sounds ironic, but i really mean it this time.

no antacid is worthwhile they have bad side ingredients.

powdered calcium in warm distilled  water is milk like in flavor with a bit of chalky mouth feel.

it  is basically a fully purified tums or rolaids antacid tablet in warm liquid form

far better then using pepto bismal or rolaids or tums or any flavored knock off.

it is a patch for relief not a cure. you need to find out why the acid leaks out.

a lot of possible reasons.

No-one likes to hear it but this is the cure.

C'mon! You knew that i'd like to hear  Grin
Habaneros?

What a pity, spicy stuff fucks up my colon.
Even more so, i really loved hot spices in the past. I thought the pain was normal, for some time.
Maybe i should try again, because the Bromelaine also got me rid of reflux, may as well have some benefits for the whole intestinal tract.
