2541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan to trade is a risky task on: September 26, 2021, 05:39:34 AM
I would never trade or gamble with money that isn't solely mine. Shit happens and then you'll be unable to pay back the loan, if you don't have your own money, it's best not to trade at all. Trading is extremely risky itself, but doing it with borrowed money takes it to another level of risk.

You'll eventually lose a trade or two, you'll get greedy and who knows what your next moves might be.

The reason these platforms have increased in popularity is that it is Jewtube policy to dis-allow ANY content which would discourage the goyim from becoming what Psaki referrers to as 'marked' by the gene therapy jab.  The factual accuracy of the content is not a factor.  Jewtube is good enough for cat vids and all manners of pro-jab propaganda from the celebrity doctors that you like so much, but for real information it is useless.

Here's a good article from a reliable source

https://www.britannica.com/list/the-top-covid-19-vaccine-myths-spreading-online

Read it and calm down. Don't worry, the world is not so evil as you think. Normally, evil is ignorance and that's why evil people rarely make it to the celebrity doctors.

There's no such thing as a reliable source for anti-vaxxers, no matter what information they are presented with, they won't believe a single sentence. Instead, they'll simply reply with a post from some stupid blogspot website or YouTube video of some random guy, "debunking" all scientists involved in the pandemic and the development of vaccines.

The britannica.com material is text-book 'fact-check' nonsense targeting very low-functioning people.  I've seen all these techniques before ('debunking' something that people are not saying is a big one.)  I'm not in the low-functioning category and the material is a joke.

You're just proving my point, although, you didn't post any links from those so-called websites you anti-vaxxers read, that's surprising. The Britannica article has all its sources hyperlinked already in the text, however, I don't see you proving anything you're claiming. You're only capable of flaming other users that aren't supporting your non-existent claims.

2544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China trying its best to get hated on: September 25, 2021, 09:18:03 AM
I honestly think that people are starting to get really sick of China's behavior.

What's really amazing is that they don't understand that they are cutting themselves out from a super-growing market, letting all major investor taking all their money to other countries (like the mining exodus happened recently).

Should we really expect a bear market?
China repeatedly has a policy of being very unsupportive of the crypto market and appears selfish in its policies. i think china may have a specific purpose and china doesn't want other countries to be able to compete with china in crypto, so china is issuing unreasonable policies
That's true, China was never supportive of cryptocurrency, despite having large mining operations. This isn't something new, a quick look back in the past few years will reveal a lot about China and its policies against the freedom of its citizens. Such incidents will definitely affect the market, up to a degree, however, its impact won't last long and will recover eventually.
2545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to invest on cheap promising coins? on: September 25, 2021, 05:55:59 AM
I'm not including the example you have given but yes, you can give new and promising projects a chance. But you should be really sure that they are promising projects rather than scam ones. I have no idea about "Zero coin". But recently, the favorite coin is Solana. It is a very promising project and you can check the price statistics also. You will see that it was even under $1 last year but now it has an ATH level like $215.
I've never heard of this Zero coin before either, as I mentioned earlier, there are instances that these newer/less known coins are worth investing. Do your research, you could even invest in multiple new/cheap coins as well, instead of one. If one goes down, you won't lose all your money, while this practice is providing you with more investment opportunities.
2546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to invest on cheap promising coins? on: September 24, 2021, 08:43:54 PM
I would say yes, but it depends on the coin and its conditions. Let's keep in mind that a ton of coins are being created every day, many of which are pump and dump coins aka scam coins created only for this purpose. Sometimes you may hit the jackpot and achieve high returns from such coins, however, it's not something that can be guaranteed by any means.
2547  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Renewable Energy sources the future? on: September 23, 2021, 05:32:44 PM
I'm all in for electric vehicles, I mostly like their concept and its benefits, not paying for petrol, they have immense acceleration and so on. However, I don't believe that they are fully developed for mass usage. They are still quite expensive and till a few years ago, Tesla was the largest competitor. The Tesla Model 3 for instance, costs approximately $50-60.000.

During the past few years, more and more EVs are being developed, such as Hyundai, Volkswagen, KIA, Volvo and a few others.

Increased competition should result in these vehicles becoming more affordable. I can see a considerable reduction in the monopoly in high-end EVs that Tesla had, in recent times. Tesla had the advantage that they were the first ones to mass produce EVs, but now other automobile manufacturers seems to have realized that EVs are going to be the next big thing in this sector. And despite the monopoly that Tesla had, they never contributed anything positive to the EV sector. If they had done something useful, then we would be having a much more affordable and reliable battery technology by now.
Tesla used to be the main competitor in the EV sector, that's why their prices were so high as well. On top of that, Tesla had a terrible policy when it came to servicing and salvage vehicles. Despite EVs being a pretty new market, there are already quite a few models, from different companies, that have recently been introduced to the market, reducing the monopoly effect Tesla had on the market.

Received a translation today. All the money was returned after more than three months. Thanks everyone for the answers!
I'm glad and relieved to see it was resolved. I highly doubted that such matter would stay unhandled, despite what happened, from my experience, it's not a sketchy exchange by any means. As another user already mentioned, use a “Resolved” tag in the title, so other users that might be facing a similar incident with yours, are informed that this matter has been resolved, without reading all the replies.

2550  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Renewable Energy sources the future? on: September 21, 2021, 05:11:46 PM
Agree to this and there are only few charging station of it and really you cant drive really really long distance. Regarding renewable energy there are a lot of people now a days in their homes buying a solar power light since it could save energy and also lets say that it could make the environment better. I think the future in renewable energy in terms of electricity is really great, but the gasoline powered vehicle is the next problem tho

That still doesn't solve the issue of affordability. The Tesla Model S costs around $100,000. This is around 3 times the price of a similar automobile which runs on gasoline. Personally I don't afford paying up to 50% more for an EV. But 200%? That doesn't make any sense for me. They need to reduce the cost and make the vehicles more affordable. And for that, they need to dump the current Lithium-Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminium batteries and move towards a battery technology that uses less expensive metals. I am afraid that it may not happen anytime soon.

2551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past three months bitcoin journey on: September 20, 2021, 07:26:41 PM
Interesting story, according to you, the purpose of this investment is long term, however, I'm wondering how you considered Bitcoin as your best investment? Don't get me wrong, but, the amounts being invested are quite small, considering Bitcoin's value. I believe that sometimes, investing in some other reputable altcoin, such as Ethereum, Cardano, Binance and many more, is deemed more profitable than purchasing Bitcoin.
2552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 20, 2021, 03:38:14 PM
What do you think? Will Dogecoin be able to survive without Elon Musk? Or will it simply vanish like the rest of the other "shitcoins" on the market? Is the DOGE hype over? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

Doge coin is the only meme coin that got a lot of attention from investors after Elon Musk promoted the coin, but even though the hype for Doge coin has faded but its price will still last because Doge coin has a large community and besides that currently several exchanges one by one started putting Doge coins into their platform so that it can help the price of Doge coins to stay afloat.
Dogecoin received lots of attention just because Elon Musk started promoting it, not just because it's a coin worth being traded. There was a period that when Musk made a single tweet, a rally would follow, driving prices upwards, with everyone panic buying just because Elon Musk said it. Dogecoin was already listed on many exchanges, however, it's not actually a huge deal.
2553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I helped 2 non-crypto people invest in bitcoin on: September 20, 2021, 12:35:28 PM
Personally, if I were in the OP's position I would look at the market situation and if the situation is not possible I would not recommend it, because I don't want my uncle to suffer losses because of me.
if the market is trending i suggest waiting until the price really drops to make a purchase and suggest to make long term investments and prioritize bitcoin, uncle OP bought bitcoin around 47K and currently bitcoin price is around 45K and so on, and how your uncle reacts when he sees the current price is definitely a disappointment.
Let's just hope that OP is not held liable from his relatives, especially now that the market is going through a crash. Bitcoin is down to $43.000, taking all other listed Altcoins with it. And that's why I don't give out financial advice, especially on crypto.  I'm hoping that your relatives don't go frenzy seeing the market in such state, and start panic selling what they've bought.
2554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [Warning]: Fake OpenSea support staff are stealing cryptowallets and NFTs on: September 19, 2021, 09:35:36 PM
I was recently targeted through Discord too. Was contacted through a few groups I had entered and posed as administrators who were eager to "assist" me. Even though it didn't regard the service you are referring to, in my case it was a phishing WalletConnect website, Discord and DeFi in general is fill of scammers.

Never respond to anyone you don't know, keep also in mind that administrators in Discord groups will rarely message you.
2555  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 19, 2021, 08:00:35 PM
The most important is that it decreases the severity of the illness, supposing you get infected. However, I'm a living example of someone who was in close contact with a confirmed case, I am vaccinated, and he isn't. Despite the long hours and being in an indoor area, I wasn't infected. Got tested multiple times throughout the week as well.

I have the same opinion as well. Got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine in May 2021 and I have managed to stay uninfected. Here in my country, there is no noticeable opposition to the vaccination program (unlike the case with some of the other countries). And as a result, the average number of daily deaths have remained in the 0 to 1 range for the last many months. However, since the emergence of the delta strain, there has been a surge in the number of infections. Used to be in the 20-30 range per day, but now we are witnessing close to 1,000 new cases per day. Still the higher rate of vaccination has managed to prevent the deaths.
It is the same where I am currently living, there is no direct opposition to the vaccine, there are some that are not taking the vaccine but it has to do more with ignorance than with any kind of real opposition, however the delta strain is proving to be a real issue, it seems that it is way more contagious which most likely indicates that sooner or later everyone will eventually get it, so the vaccine is key so the symptoms are mild and there are no long term effects once the body beats the disease.
The more a virus mutates, the more contagious it becomes, however, when that occurs, it usually becomes less deadly. Vaccines still work with the Delta variant, but let's keep in mind that their development started approximately in March, based on the original virus, before new strains started appearing. The virus has taken several twists since then, thus, it's pretty normal that their efficacy has been reduced.

2556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Dogecoin survive without Elon Musk? on: September 19, 2021, 06:39:02 PM
I think yes, Even without musk Dogecoin will continue to survive and exist. It's great alternative since the fast low and fast beside that the community was really big too, It's already on the market for long time and surviving some bearish beside that it was accepted on most of top crypto exchange i think it will survive.

Yes, indeed, Dogecoin had its own community even before Elon Musk became a billionaire. And before Musk shill the Doge coin, it was previously promoted by such famous personalities as John McAfee. But Musk, thanks to his subscribers, created a hype around this coin, which allowed many to get a high profit.
It has its own community indeed, however, Dogecoin won't achieve much without the promotion of influential personalities. Let's keep in mind that Doge was created as a meme/troll coin and has no real purpose, a few gambling websites use it though, but nothing special. It'll probably go with the flow of the market (Bearish/Bullish) but with nothing more to it.

On the other hand, Elon will probably mess with it again in the near future, don't be surprised if it suddenly skyrockets again.

I'd also be concerned if you were blamed for their misconduct/misfortune. I also invited two friends of mine a few months ago, but made sure to warn them that I'm not responsible for anything nor take my advice for granted, in case anything happen. Likewise, I've heard quite a few incidents of newbies losing their money and then blaming their mistakes on someone else.

In your case, you've mentioned that he has experience with the stock market, thus, he's probably more capable than the average newbie. On top of that, his portfolio is consisted of a variety of coins, too wide in my opinion, but may balance the risk if one or more altcoins enter the bear market.

Just make sure that you are not held liable for any kind of misfortune that may turn up.

I wish the same thing occurred here too, there's a large amount of people who are against the Covid-19 vaccine. The percentage of fully vaccinated people over 18, is a tad over 60%, which isn't that bad, but certainly not enough to achieve immunity. I've also noticed that the number of deaths are significantly lower, especially in countries with higher vaccination coverage.
2559  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 19, 2021, 01:34:02 PM
Because reducing the number of infection vectors is a major part of defeating the virus.  The more people who are vaccinated, the fewer bodies the virus can propagate in.  Vaccines, masking, social distance- all three of these reduce infections.  It's insane at this point there are still people who don't understand how this works, but that's exactly why the world is still as bad off as it is- people who question why vaccines are necessary or why there are mask mandates.  You're very clearly part of the problem.

There are two things here. First of all, the vaccinated people have a lower probability of getting the infection. Even with the delta strain, the Moderna vaccine has reported an efficacy of 76%. Other vaccines like AstraZeneca and Sputnik V have also reported >50% efficacy against this strain. And that is the first thing. Secondly, even if someone gets infected after vaccination, he is much less likely to spread the virus to others when compared to the unvaccinated people. So the real impact is not 76%, but much higher than that.
The most important is that it decreases the severity of the illness, supposing you get infected. However, I'm a living example of someone who was in close contact with a confirmed case, I am vaccinated, and he isn't. Despite the long hours and being in an indoor area, I wasn't infected. The email came from no-reply@cryptopia.co.nz which i think is legit.
The link for the Cryptopia Claims registration will redirect to you to this portal https://portal.cryptopia.co.nz/
The domain name seems ok to me. Isn't ?

Seems to be legit. Make sure you're checking the URL the correct way, by hovering your cursor over the link.

If you're 100% sure, go ahead. For context, you can check out this blog post by Cryptopia: https://twitter.com/Cryptopia_NZ/status/1402875702853074948
It's actually the same email I received, thus, I didn't stumble upon a phishing website. I tried to register simply out of curiosity, however, despite entering every detail requested, I never managed to sign up.

I don't remember having a balance there, so I just abandoned it.
