2541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is BU an attack on Bitcoin? on: April 06, 2017, 07:51:50 AM
You might want to read this article ... (please actually read it in full)

https://medium.com/@arthricia/is-bitcoin-unlimited-an-attack-on-bitcoin-9444e8d53a56#.tuts22w3t

It's mostly a strawman article.  It builds up arguments and then knocks them down, without considering what the arguments actually are.

Even a lot of Core supporters never even said that BU is an attack on Bitcoin, and neither solution is.
I read the article and I think that your right. It doesn't seem to bring anything to the table. The article seems to be an attack on Greg Maxwell. I am not sure the author knows what he is talking about. But regardless Bitcoin Unlimited is not an attack on bitcoin it seems to me. I think they just have a different  point of view.
2542  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you think , better time for trading ? on: April 06, 2017, 06:24:59 AM
Here everyone knows that the currently the price of the Bitcoin at the peak of the sky .
But due to the increase of the price the price of less famouse altcoins are became down .
So here is a better chance to buy some altcoins?
What is your thoughts about this guy's ? Share your thoughts  Cheesy
I think like everyone else is saying as long as you buy low and sell high you will win in the long run. One thing to look out for though is false lows and highs.

If it drops a little don't feel compelled to buy. Its best to do it when it has really dropped a substantial amount. That way you elminate extra work and possible losses.
2543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: April 06, 2017, 06:08:33 AM
Hard to explain how trading is different from gambling. But here is a thing that just came to my mind, in trading you are all in to make money. But in gambling you do in primarily for fun or entertainment. Making money comes second in gambling. And you can control your losses in trading more than in gambling.

It is not hard to differentiate trading from gambling.  Trading have controlled risk, you can even nullify it, and if in case trade market of your stocks is not good, you can always cut losses or even profit from the fluctuation while doing your exit move.  While gambling once you bet and the roll is executed, you cannot do anything about it but to wait on the result.  You cannot cut your loses and it is dependent on its internal settings.
But when people want to try gambling with few aspects of trading they do get confused between trading and gambling. Because few strategies suggest us to go gambling with calculated risk and predetermined loss levels.

These are for controlling your losses in gambling still gambling could never become similar to trading to get good results from it.
2544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Is Bitcoin Trading and Why It's risky? on: April 06, 2017, 05:32:12 AM
Hello folks!

I'm thinking about starting to trade with Bitcoin, but I see people saying that It's risky & almost like gambling.

I think that I mis-understand the meaning of trading.

For me trading Is for EXAMPLE, buying Bitcoin when It's at 550$ and selling It when It's at 670$. This Isn't risky because If Its value doesn't Increase, you'll just have to keep It until It gets higher enough, Is this trading?

I would really appreciate If people clarified more! Thankx Wink
Good question! I don't think it is really any more risky than Bitcoin itself is.
The only issue is if the price does not go up after you buy it but I don't see that happening with bitcoin. I think it is a simple and easy way to earn a little money. Go for it!
2545  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: April 05, 2017, 07:39:33 PM
Mine is simple and the best. Buy low, wait, sell high.  Tongue

For extra I do day trading when there is panic making the price swing up and down.

Don't force yourself to trade that much, take some distance from time to time.
That sounds like the best way to do it. You have a good point about not feeling compelled to trade all the time. If you only do it when the prices are really getting low and sell it only when the prices get higher you will be in a much better position than if you trade whenever something looks like it went down a little. Its also less work Tongue
2546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When did you start gambling? (Because of BCT Promotion?) on: April 05, 2017, 07:08:46 PM
When did you start gambling online (and offline if you do not mind sharing)? Is it because of the awesome Games and Rounds forum at Bitcointalk?

Do you only start gambling after you use Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) because you feel that you cannot be tracked?
Honestly when I first came to know about bitcoins and this forum the best and only thing I see with bitcoins was gambling and I started it right away, that time not so many giveaways used to be there but yeah I seriously started gambling with bitcoins the day or say week I came into it. And till today I just cannot stop gambling with bitcoins, call it for the ease or the popular dice game  Tongue
2547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: April 05, 2017, 06:47:39 PM
Do you gamble at land based casinos?
Yes it is, I went there but I'm not alone of course. Because My friend invited me to go with him then I never know that it was a casino gambling place. Inside of the place was really attempting even you want to play even for  try only, you will be attempt in the end. But My friend was having fun for it while doing gamble in poker game card.
Here we don't have any gambling casinos offline and rather we have to travel from one city to another for visiting it. I have been though many times visited casinos and its a totally new experience I tell you from what I saw and play.

I would suggest everyone to at least visit a live casino and if not then play some live dealers game as that gives you the feeling as if you are there in the casino.

2551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best way to quit gambling for good on: December 26, 2016, 06:50:04 PM
Environment gave a huge influence. If someone stay at a place with a lot of gamblers in it, then quit gambling is a very hard work to do. He/she has to move to other environment that have no gamblers at all. But, the final result will be determined by how hard is someone intention to quit gambling.
Indeed and people around you directly or indirectly influence all your decisions, for example if you ask a friend that hey I am winning some significant money from gambling, the there are two things .. one he would say hey then why doing job man ? And the second would be saying come on its just temporary.

I think you cannot quit gambling once you started it since even if you leave gambling you will always feel like you are missing a important part of your life, I am in that stage so I know better than most.
2552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: December 25, 2016, 09:26:35 PM
Being a gambler is a most interesting activity and I never feel shameful about it. My family and friends sometimes criticize me because of gambling too much. However, as long as I know how to control my money and manager my bankroll, I never lose money Cheesy. And to me, gambling is a entertainment which is created for people to satisfy and make them happier.
Actually you have overcame from that shame part, I mean the shame usually is that we do not tell our family and friends but you have told them and even have been criticized too. So apart from that nothing can make you feel bad for your gambling habit, its the surroundings of a person which makes him feel bad or good about his actions.
2553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is better? To gamble or to invest? on: December 19, 2016, 06:47:51 PM
Gambling becomes investment if you are disciplined and carefully analyze what and where to bet your money on Ina long run.  It's gambling when you want to win a million dollars with $100 in a few hours.
Yes no doubt about this that gambling can give you good opportunities of making money, but it depend on your luck, your skill and your experience also.

If you are a lucky person then you can surely make good money in gambling, and especially if you have good experience and skill in gambling then you are increasing the winning chances a little more.
2554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the difference between game and gamble? on: December 19, 2016, 06:35:42 PM
In gambling money or any type of currency is involved. While in a game, it is just only an entertainment for someone. Gambling can also be a game if you don't expect a return of it. You don't matter if you will lose your money after you play. While a game can also be a gamble if someone makes it involved of money, gambling is not just only casinos, or those gambling sites these days. Anything involved with money can considered as gambling.
Everyone has their own thinking, but I think that the game we play for making money is called gambling, in other words we can say that if we put money on games it is called gambling, some people says that they play gambling for entertainment, if you are playing for entertainment then it is not gambling, it is just the game you play, because gambling can only be play for money and if there is no money involve then it is not gambling.
2555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play Dice with Autobet? on: December 11, 2016, 04:13:50 PM
I tried autobet before in some dice game it is a waste of money to use autobet in dice game like other said it is not enjoyable..
But they are just the same result if you are gamble in dice game that you will still lose all your money for nothing that is why i change my plays into sports betting because it is more easy to predict.

Good thing that I haven't tried to use autobet with dice games because I like the usual way of gambling with dice games that rolling it manually. And you are right with that, whether you will gamble with autobet or the usual normal way in dice games. We will just end up losing in the end even though how tough we are in dice.
i also play gambling like to play gambling in real, but i am not agree with this statement that you will always lose in the end. it is a fact that gambling is a game of luck but why should a person always be not lucky in at the end, i think there are so many people who are making money in gambling and they are even depending on gambling for living.
I also agree with you. I also do not think that every on loses in the long run regardless of they are dicing in autobet or manual bet.

I think there are people who are very lucky and making good money in gambling, to me it depend on your luck if you are lucky in the end you will win even with auto betting mode and if you are not luck then you will certainly lose.
2556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effects of Banning Bitcoin ? on: December 11, 2016, 01:33:24 PM
I think it will be hard for every government to ban  bitcoin unless they totally ban the internet. Bitcoin is digital currency and as long as the internet exist, the bitcoin will also exist and the people will continue to use it as long as there is internet available in their area. But assuming that they had successfully ban the bitcoin, there will be effect on its price, investments and digital wallets and internet merchants that use bitcoins will also affected.
Moreover it is not centralized that the country's government will inform the owner that you cannot have our country users, like if Paypal wants to limit Indians from using it then they can since its controlled by the owners but remember bitcoins have no owners, its a currency owned and managed and powered by people.
2557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: December 11, 2016, 01:26:23 PM
there's a lot of ways to turn gambling into profitable way.
If it is true then you must not be writing here and might be very busy with your gambling activities.
Yes when you are having lot of opportunities to make profits with your gambling what is the need you need to be active in this forum ? or at least along with your signature.
2558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many BTC do you gamble with? on: December 11, 2016, 08:06:03 AM
my bankroll is usually small, which means i usually deposit less than 0.1BTC and hold that much only in my gambling site account. and i do this only because i want to have a tight grip over my finances when it comes to gambling, if i have small amount i would behave better and handle losses in a better way instead of going all the way to 10BTC loss for example.
Holy cow! I'm not ready to call less then 0.1 bitcoin as a small bankroll for gambling purpose. I never deposited more than 0.001 bitcoins. I prefer gambling with faucets only and very few times I got chances to cash out. All the other times I just got busted and I just keep on playing. I'm not bothering about my winning or losses, if I will be able to cash out, I will be happy if not no problems.
2559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I use my small amount for GAMBLING? on: December 10, 2016, 07:51:12 PM
You can!!! as long as you are willing to take a risk and dont mind losing it. Do remember this golden rule of gambling "Only gamble the amount that you can afford to lose". It has served me well and I have never risked the money which would be utilised for my basic needs. Hope you follow this too. Have fun! Smiley

It is better to risk smaller amount when you are gambling rather than gambling with bigger amount. Even though the amount of possible profit is also small but still you are going to have more chance of winning by betting that way because you can afford to lose with smaller amount. And also just don't be too greedy enough when gambling.
The important thing is not to invest an amount that could jeopardize the financial life of the individual, but I have to add that the amount invested will not lower the risks. I think what will make a difference is a good strategy. I do not have much experience with gambling, but successful people in it say that putting together a good strategy for this purpose is possible.
A successful strategy is possible but only for a handful of games and in very specific circumstances most of which don't exist in an online casino and only exist in a live casino.
No perfect strategy is possible for any game otherwise a gambler would stay there for a week and rip off their wallets and earnings. Actually live and online casino does not make a difference because each game has its risks and they have a edge which will enable profits for the site and unless being lucky we would only loose.
2560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In what gambling games are you good at? on: December 10, 2016, 07:08:11 PM
Well we are the same im not also good in dice games because im always loosing and  i dont have really a strategy to win it just sort of fun and gaining some experience of what dice games is. But so far as i know dice games is it is all about of luck, small strategies annd controlling your emotions. And i think it is all about on that. By the way im really into sports betting and sometimes dice games.
But I do feel the gambling you are good does not need to be profitable for you. Because I do see people are just for engaging themselves by going for gambling.

They are very much interested in setting up different strategies and innovating new ideas to gamble. They are not making profit with their new strategies but they are delaying their losses. And they are calling themselves good at those.
Because there are two different types of gamblers. And you are talking about those who are gambling for their entertainments. Only for the people who are not looking for making profit from gambling, for them this type of activities are possible.

They will be good with any gambling type and that are the only gamblers who are making the maximum out of gambling in my opinion.
